okay so this one was actually pretty tough so I found a couple that filled this prompt exactly & tossed in a few other fics that don't touch on war games but are set during her robin run. hope this works! sorry for the extremely long wait I have no excuses this time </3

I personally love this piece as a gorgeous exploration of steph's mental state, but if hurt no comfort isn't your cup of tea, I can respect you skipping this one.

The light of Love

So basically i have a story in mind and it's about this talking cat with wings his name is Fluffy and he gets adopted by this girl named Lia and she's 15 she is one of those happy go lucky types and Fluffy is the smart ass, sorta grumpy type, and they both love each other but Fluffy doesn't love Lia as much as she does until one day she gets killed by some creature with claws and it slashes her open and Fluffy witnessed the entire death and he runs away realizing what happened, he ends up homeless and depressed because he realizes that he should've loved Lia more and now she's gone, as he grows up he becomes anthropomorphic and starts to get more and more depressed as the days go by, but on the way he meets some friends and later gets a boyfriend (yes he's bi) and he tries to find a way to get happy again for good, and yes sometimes he cuts himself.

Not a war criminal but I do tend to come down on the "they did nothing wrong" side of War Games despite. Yknow. Everything they did wrong. Also part of the reason I don't discuss it irl because irl batfans can bé very mean towards her :(

By I can make them worse I mostly mean the several "let Steph go apeshit" aus rotating in my mind at any given moment. And by pretty privilege I just mean that in my mind I think Steph is like. In the prettier half of the batfam. Just because I find it funny if all Tim's regular friends were quietly amazed at how out of his league she was.
