So far new Onimusha, RE9, Scott Pilgrim Sequel Beat'em Up, Stranger Than Heaven, Sonic CrossWorlds & Street Fighter 6 Season 3 DLC alongside CODE VEIN II HAPPENING BY KNIJOHN WILLING THE GAME HIMSELF MID WATCHING THE SUMMER GAMES FEST STREAM WERE THE HIGHLIGHTS of the most 3/10 event ever, let's just say State of Play this year stole Summer Games Fest's Thunder not that it couldn't produced any Thunder with that wack showcase

There’s no pain quite like an average JRPG having cool concepts you wish more games would do.

Why did Zesteria have to be the game to do real time fusion battle mechanics!? I need someone to try again.

I need a Final Fantasy X-3. Not because I miss Tidus and Rikku, but because I want a party of at least five different characters dripped out of their minds with the dress sphere mechanics. Cruelest monkey’s paw was Lightning Returns bringing it back somewhat but she has no teammates.

Scarlet Nexus is so cool and so boring at the same time that it needs to be studied. Clearly there were people on that development team with sauce and not enough money or time! I love the concept of borrowing powers or synergies!

There’s a Yin to every Yang. If Scarlet Nexus is the Yang, then Code Vein is the Yin. I know it’s basically a souls-like but the power system alongside having a partner made me wish it had more money. I did everything in that game despite its SORRY EXCUSE FOR A MAP.

The more I look at the things I name, the more I’m starting to think maybe my real beef is with Bandai Namco. I say that but Xillia was everything I wanted. Maybe that’s why it stings so bad.

I don’t know if this is a hot take but I would sacrifice shotlocks for D-Links. Fuck situation commands, they could’ve been cooler command styles but it’s something that can’t describe! What sucks is Aqua HAD IT!

The whole exposed hearts thing looks pretty cool, but I wonder what the context for it is? In the first game, it was established that damage to the heart is the only thing that can permanently kill a Revenant. So why have it as an easy target now? I noticed in the trailer that the enemies also have their hearts exposed, so this is a common thing among Revenants and Horrors.

Also, I have to say I really like everything about Lou's(?) design. It's very reminiscent of Io, but like more fashionable.

Since Code Vein 2 got announced, I got back on the first game and realized I could kinda make Arcane Jinx. The customization was kinda limiting, though...I dunno if I can make more characters from this...😅

Anyways I'm probably gonna draw my protagonist from the game next👍🏽
