According to the myth, Persephone was abducted by Hades, the god of the underworld, while she was picking flowers in a meadow. All of the stitching on here is free motion quilting, the textures added by moving the quilt under the sewing machine needle by hand. (My shoulders were so tired!)

A baby gift for my cousin, who lives in that area! To be used as a floor mat for a few months, and then hung in the nursery as decoration.
