Think about it, just for a moment (aka forever):
✨ Welcome kisses at the door ✨
Tommy grabbing Buck's waist. Buck taking Tommy's face between his hands. Buck making a step back, playing hard to get with a smug smile just for Tommy to grab him by his shirt and pull him. Tommy slamming the door shut and pushing Buck against it.
Just a peck and them hugging for a while after a difficult shift.

It's interesting how Buck's love interests are all written in a way that ends because of the reason they meet/happen in the first place and then of course, we have Eddie.
Abby, who changes Buck's view of a healthy relationship but then turns around and ghosts him, making him wait for months on end and letting him realize she's not coming back on his own.
Ali, who meets Buck during a dangerous situation in his line of work and then leaves him for how dangerous his work is.
Taylor, who lashes out at Buck for using her as a fake date and saying she thought she could trust Buck to be a friend who then ends up using him for her career and chose to put his friends in danger.
Natalia, who's there to help him embrace and deal with his temporary death but it leads to their break up because of the constant talk surrounding death when Buck's not comfortable with it.
We can't confirm for Tommy till it ends but it's important to note how he offers to get Buck into his interests like flying and muay thai yet doesn't show effort with Buck's interests like dressing up according to the bachelor party theme despite Buck being stressed about it. And we also have the fact that the entire reason they got together was due to Buck's jealousy for Eddie which he then claims to be was for Tommy. Makes me think they are either going to end because of differing interests OR because of the jealousy issue popping up again.
Funnily enough, every scene above has an Eddie parallel:
Eddie co-parents with Buck and not only does this not stop after a dangerous event but Eddie also has Buck down as a legal guardian (healthy relationship - Abby).
Eddie is in the same dangerous line of work and they have each other's backs. This happens right off the bat too.(dangerous job - Ali).
The Lawsuit era and The Dispatch era - both where they "betray" each other but manage to work through it (betrayal/lie - Taylor).
Eddie doesn't pressure Buck to talk about his temporary death until Buck's ready and is more focused about him living than in his death (death doula - Natalia).
Eddie who has different interests than Buck (poker, basketball and UFC/MMA) but also manages to show interest and actively takes part in whatever Buck comes up with; he suggests their outfit for the themed party AND ends up staying there for Buck even when others leave (different hobbies & showing interest/taking part - Tommy).
Absolutely fascinating when you start noticing that Buck's relationships keep failing for one reason or another and then we have him and Eddie who face the same sort of situations but they still come out of it stronger together.
It's clear that there's a reason Buck is able to overcome anything when it comes to Eddie (that conversation with Maddie about being there for each other even at their worst 👀) and we've already established that everything Eddie looks for in a partner is already something he has found in Buck. So really, all that's left is for them to realize that hey, the one I'm looking for is right in front of me! 🤷🏽
And yes, it's been said to death (hah) but you don't find it son you make it. And Buck and Eddie have already made it.

ravi headcanon time
- i’m a pansexual ravi truth
- ravi comes from a wealthy family (they could afford his hospital bills AND this man owns rental properties in Cali? thats generational wealth bby)
- ravi has 2+ siblings (buck’s not the first to yap at him, okay?)
- he has a good relationship with his parents (funny, relaxed father + stricter mum. he secretly loves her concern and advice and pestering)
- bobby tries to adopt him like buck (and eddie) and he’s like “hey cap, you’re a great guy and ily, but you kinda act like my dad” and bobby is like ???? bc he IS his dad and ravi brings up his bio father and how close they are and bobby can’t believe someone in the 118 actually has good parents. like wdym you are happy to go see your whole family ?????????
- ravi has a nonbinary partner. the 118 thinks he is poly bc he keeps saying “they” and shows photos of what seems like at least two people (a masc person and a femme one) but one day the team meets ravi’s person and ask abt the “others” uhhhhm no that’s a single genderfuck i fear
- ravi genuinely thought buck and eddie were together when he met them and he can’t figure out wtf their relationship is. divorced? and remarried? friends to lovers? idiot4idiot? queerplatonic?
- ravi doesn’t mind buck talking abt eddie its that just ravi is done with how little sense it all makes “so he went to texas with our son” “damn another divorce?” “no his wife died, they didn’t divorce” ??? “anyway, he’s the best father in the world” “go back his wife???” “yeah, she was killed in an accident years ago. remember that random lady he cheated with? they looked identical” “he cheated on you with his dead wife’s doppelgänger??!??” “no he cheated on his gf” “HE HAS A GF?!?” “well not anymore” like how can ravi make this make sense
- hen and ravi are secretly besties bc they both detect Bullshit everywhere.
- chimney gaslights ravi over everything. absolute bold faced lies. it makes understanding the 118 even harder.
- ravi didn’t know maddy was buck’s sister for years so now he doesn’t know if its gaslighting or true
- ravi and his partner have a cat who is their child. ravi loves that thing. his princess. they found it at a shelter and it was so fluffy and round. perfect.
- ravi has book smarts more than street smarts but doesn’t know it. can recall maths and literature from school but he will see his buddies going through ptsd and be like “weekly crash outs am i right?” then high fives them
- he texts all lowercase with ironic emojis and it confuses everyone but eddie who was a twitter girlie and has a son. buck pretends he understands but doesn’t
- chim and ravi love to match esp with sunglasses. even though chim gaslights ravi, that’s his little buddy. that’s his guy.
- ravi sends texts to the 118 family minus buddie abt buddie and they give neutral group reactions then all dm each other going crazy. the one person who remembers to dm ravi is karen.
- ravi babysits chris and denny once and is immediately initiated into a trio. like chris + buddie is family. henren + denny too. chris and denny are a cute duo. but The Trio. the boys are BACK. chris and denny have a chill new friend with a car, a steady income, and every video game ever. like yes game nights with mums/dads are epic but ravi doesn’t know not to let them say fuck.
-ravi is a little cutie pie princess. like yes he’s a big strong man but he is a sweatheart. not quite a himbo but definitely has his dumb blond moments. like yeah he will volunteer for terrorism bc those are his emotional support unhinged gay coworkers.
- ravi is a bobby lives truther. obviously bobby IS alive in my fanon but like ravi never believed he died he was like nah nah you guys are trusting the GOVERNMENT. not on my watch.
- going back to the lack of street smarts, sometimes he forgets his filter and will just speak his mind. he’s smart and perceptive so its usually accurate but he will spill devastating truths. he sees eddie back in LA and goes “thank god you’re here. buck rlly needs some dick” and eddie is like ??????? then maddie has the baby and ravi is like “thank god bobby didn’t die bc that baby is not a robert…. so what’s his name?” “kevin” “maybe robert isn’t such a bad idea”
okay that’s what i can think of for now. lmk your headcanons. obviously i’m right but like are YOU?

I don’t quite know how my brain got here right now - but I’m thinking thoughts about the way the show has been paralleling Buck and Eddie with each other - as well as with the canon couples on the show - but in a very specific and interesting way - because when you take Abby and Tommy as a collective - they are a parallel of Shannon.
All three are firsts and not lasts for Eddie and Buck.
Abby and Tommy have been intentionally connected on the show (yes making use of a fluke name commonality but that’s what makes it especially clever and interesting) on several levels as being basically two sides of the same coin - Abby was his first serious relationship and Tommy his first queer relationship - they are both Bucks firsts and not his lasts. In the same way that Shannon was Eddie’s first and not his last - the show chose to have buck point out that Shannon was the first girl Eddie slept with - implying she wasn’t his first girlfriend (something that was confirmed in the cut Eddie/Chris conversation about the lake.
If you think of Shannon as two entities instead of one person - Texas Shannon and LA Shannon - it becomes easier to spot the parallels.
Texas Shannon is paralleled with Abby - both leave their respective homes and don’t come back - both Buck and Eddie expected them to return when they had done taking some time for themselves - finding themselves.
While LA Shannon is paralleled with Tommy - LA Shannon asks for a divorce after Eddie wants to have the second child he thinks is coming and to get remarried etc - to go all in with her and their relationship. He is making a decision based on flawed thinking and external expectations after a conversation with a ‘elder’ (supposedly wiser figure - Bobby).
Which is very much a parallel to Tommy dumping Buck after Buck decides to go all in and ask Tommy to move in and starts talking about marriage - after the hurdle of discovering Tommys past with Abby and having talked to an elder (in this case Josh who is a queer elder).
Both narratives are connected to commiting to something due to societal expectations - for Shannon it was becoming pregnant outside of marriage in a Catholic dominant society and therefore ending up married to Eddie.
While for Tommy it was having to mask himself as a straight man because he was in the army and firefighting - both environments that were toxicly masculine and heteronormative at the time Tommy was in them and so he ended up in a relationship with Abby - which then sets up the circumstances for Abby to feel the need to run to find herself.
Both Texas Shannon and Abby then feel the need to run - to find themselves because of the environment they find themselves in and this sets up LA Shannon and Tommy as second firsts for Eddie and Buck. And both LA Shannon and Tommy have grown and evolved since Texas Shannon and Abby and both can see that their respective relationships are not meant to last - that they’re not the right fit - that they are forced and they have the personal development to choose end them before they cause more hurt and damage.
It’s a great play on being firsts and second chances but not lasts and it ultimately shows the suitability of buddie - they make the same mistakes in a different way - both having their first independent of each other but having their second chance/ second first whilst within each others orbits - and because they are ultimately looking for the same thing it is all serving to spin them closer to each other to a point where they can understand what their lasts look like - and that it’s each other

Managing Epilepsy Naturally with Astria Farms
Tumblr media Tumblr media
By Ariel
🚀 You can learn more here: Astria Farms Official Website
Have you ever wondered what helps your brain feel calm—like really calm, like “resting in God’s hands” kind of calm?
Lately, my family has been learning about natural epilepsy management for kids, especially because someone we love has a brain that sometimes sends too many wiggly signals at once. (Kind of like when your Minecraft redstone gets stuck in a forever loop—zap! zap! zap!) That’s what a seizure is—a surprise burst of activity in the brain that can make a person freeze, fall, or feel dizzy. It can be scary... but also really amazing to understand.
We started reading about how God’s creation, like lavender, CBD from hemp, and even healthy oils, can gently help brains feel steadier—without always needing strong medicine. That made me think of something in the Bible! In Psalm 139, it says we are “fearfully and wonderfully made,” which means God designed every part of us with purpose—even our neurons and nerves.
I didn’t know plants could be like little helpers for the brain—tiny garden soldiers marching in to calm the storm. Isn’t that such a God-thing?
In this post, I’ll tell you all about what we discovered from a place called Astria Farms, where natural remedies grow with faith and care. If your family is learning about epilepsy or just wants to explore healthier ways to care for your body, come along with us!
Let’s explore how science, scripture, and nature can work together—like three puzzle pieces in God’s healing plan. 🌱🧠💖
Tumblr media
🧠 Understanding Epilepsy and God-Given Alternatives
When someone you love has epilepsy, every day can feel like a guessing game. That’s what life was like for my dad. Sometimes his medicine worked… but sometimes, it didn’t. After one really hard night—when nothing seemed to stop the seizures—we started wondering: Is there another way?
That’s when we discovered something amazing: natural epilepsy management for kids and families isn’t just an idea—it’s a growing science full of hope.
🌿 What Is Epilepsy?
Epilepsy is a condition where the brain sends too many electrical signals all at once—kind of like if a lightning storm got stuck inside your head. These storms are called seizures, and they can be really scary. Most people take prescription medicine to try and stop them, but sometimes even those medicines can make things harder with tough side effects.
That’s why more and more families (like ours) have started learning about God-designed remedies—especially special plant helpers like CBD and THC-A, which come from the hemp plant.
🧪 “CBD is like a calm messenger that whispers to your brain: ‘It’s okay, slow down.’” 🌱 “THC-A is like a leafy shield—protecting your brain from too much activity.”
🌼 Faith + Science = Gentle Hope
These two compounds—CBD and THC-A—don’t make you feel funny like regular THC does. Instead, they help the brain feel more balanced and protected. Scientists have even found that CBD works really well for tough cases like Lennox-Gastaut and Dravet syndrome. One study in the New England Journal of Medicine showed that kids with hard-to-treat epilepsy had way fewer seizures after trying CBD.
That felt like a gift—like God gave us something through His creation that we hadn’t noticed before.
“I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” — Psalm 139:14
Isn’t it cool how even plants in God’s world can be part of His healing plan?
💬 Family Reflection Time
How might God use His creation to remind us He’s near, even during hard days?
Have you or someone you love ever faced a challenge that needed a new kind of solution?
What’s one natural thing—like a walk, a plant, or a prayer—that helps your body or brain feel calm?
Tumblr media
🌾 Why We Chose Astria Farms for Natural Epilepsy Support
Not all herbal remedies are created equal. Some are like wilted flowers in a forgotten vase—old, weak, and not very helpful. When you’re looking for something to support your brain or body, especially for something as serious as epilepsy, quality really matters.
That’s why my family trusts Astria Farms. Their products are full of life—fresh, tested, and carefully grown to help people like my dad feel safer, steadier, and more supported through natural epilepsy management for kids and families.
“Every good and perfect gift is from above.” — James 1:17
And sometimes… that gift grows out of the ground!
🌟 What Makes Astria Farms So Special?
Here’s a quick look at why Astria Farms stands out like a sunflower in a sea of weeds:
FeatureAstria FarmsOther BrandsLab-Tested Purity✅ Third-party tested for safety and potency❌ Often skip outside testingFreshness & Strength✅ Always delivers high-potency, vibrant flower❌ Many use stale, dried-out plantsPremium Cultivation✅ Grows cannabinoid-rich strains for healing❌ May use lower-grade, bulk cropsNo Harsh Chemicals✅ 100% free from pesticides or additives❌ Some contain unwanted chemicals
🌿 Let’s Break That Down—Ariel Style!
✅ Lab-Tested Purity Every batch is tested by outside scientists—kind of like how your science project gets checked by your teacher. They make sure there are no yucky pesticides, metals, or weird chemicals. Just clean, powerful plant goodness.
✅ Super Fresh & Strong Their flower doesn’t sit on a dusty shelf forever. It’s full of helpful plant compounds like CBD and THC-A, which help calm seizures and reduce brain inflammation. That means it works better when we need it most.
✅ Grown With Care Astria chooses special plant strains that are rich in helpful stuff (like terpenes and cannabinoids). It’s like picking the best apples for a pie—you don’t want bruised ones!
✅ No Junk Inside Some companies sneak in fake stuff to make products cheaper. Not Astria! Their flower is clean, natural, and full of God’s design—nothing extra, just what the body can use.
“God really made our bodies smart, didn’t He?” Even our brains respond to the gentle things He put in creation. That’s pretty amazing.
💬 Let’s Talk Together!
How can we be wise about what we choose for health—just like we’re wise with our words or actions?
Why do you think it matters what ingredients go into your body?
Can you think of something God made in nature that helps you feel calm or safe?
Tumblr media
💙 How Natural Remedies from Astria Farms Helped My Dad
Watching someone you love go through something hard—like epilepsy—can feel like walking through a fog, not knowing when the next thunderclap will strike. That’s how life was for my dad.
He used to have seizures often—sometimes with no warning. Medications didn’t help much. They made him so tired, he couldn’t enjoy simple things like sitting at the table with us or playing with the dogs. I remember thinking, “Is this just how life has to be now?”
But then came a turning point—when we discovered natural epilepsy management for kids and families through Astria Farms.
🌿 Big Changes, Gentle Answers
🌱 Fewer Seizures Ever since my dad started using THC-A flower and CBD products from Astria Farms, we’ve seen fewer seizures. It’s like his brain isn’t stormy all the time anymore. The special plant compounds help calm the overactive neurons—like turning down the volume in a noisy room.
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you.” — John 14:27
That kind of peace started showing up in our house, too.
😴 Better Sleep + Less Stress Stress and bad sleep can trigger seizures. But now, my dad sleeps more deeply and feels less anxious. He wakes up with energy, smiles more, and even teases us at breakfast again! Rest really is medicine—and sometimes, God's design includes herbs to help us rest well.
💪 No More Weak Products Before Astria, my dad tried other brands, but nothing worked. Most were stale or low-strength. But Astria’s flower is always fresh, strong, and trustworthy. He knows exactly what he's getting—and that gives him confidence to care for his body well.
💛 A Family Transformation
This isn’t just about fewer seizures—it’s about getting life back. Now my dad laughs more. He builds things with Poppy, helps Yaya reach the cereal on the top shelf (even though we all know it’s just an excuse to sneak the chocolate granola), and plays with Bash in the yard.
I used to see frustration in his eyes. Now, I see light.
“God didn’t just help my dad feel better—He helped our whole family feel stronger.”
💬 Let’s Reflect as a Family
What are some natural ways you’ve seen God bring healing—like laughter, rest, or herbs?
Have you seen someone you love go through something hard? How did you support them?
Can you think of a time when a small change made a big difference in your life?
Tumblr media
🧬 The Science Behind THC-A: A Gentle Brain Helper
Have you ever wondered how your brain stays balanced? Like, what keeps all those zippy brain signals from going kaboom all at once?
For people with epilepsy—like my dad—those signals sometimes fire too fast, too loud, and too often. That’s where a natural brain buddy like THC-A comes in. It’s one of the cool plant compounds that scientists are studying as part of natural epilepsy management for kids and adults, and the discoveries are pretty awesome.
🌟 What Does THC-A Actually Do?
Think of THC-A as a gentle shield for your brain. Scientists call it “neuroprotective”—which is a fancy way of saying it helps protect brain cells from damage and calm inflammation. And that’s a big deal for people with epilepsy, since too much brain inflammation can make seizures worse.
“God made our brains to be wonderfully complex—and He gave us tools in nature to care for them.” — Inspired by Psalm 139:14
A 2021 study showed that THC-A helped reduce seizures in animals with epilepsy. That means it might be a real hero for calming down those extra-sparky brain cells!
🧠 How It Works: Brain Science in Kid Terms
Inside your brain are special receptors—like tiny doorways called CB1 and CB2. THC-A gently interacts with these doorways and tells your brain: “Let’s slow things down a bit.” This helps your brain find balance by reducing the overactive signals that cause seizures.
Best part? THC-A doesn’t make you feel dizzy or silly like regular THC might. Unless you heat it up, THC-A stays non-psychoactive, which means my dad can use it during the day without feeling weird or sleepy. He just feels more like himself—steady and calm.
“It’s like having a plant-based bodyguard for your neurons.” 🌱🛡️
🌿 Why It Matters
As more families explore natural epilepsy therapies, THC-A is becoming one of the most promising tools. It offers help without harsh side effects, and it fits into everyday life—like adding a sprinkle of support that quietly works in the background.
Knowing this gives our family peace. It reminds me that God can work through creation, even through tiny molecules in leaves and stems.
💬 What Do You Think?
If you could design your own “brain helper,” what would it look like?
Have you ever been amazed by how something tiny—like a seed or a cell—can do something powerful?
How do you think God shows us His care through science and nature?
Tumblr media
🚫 Why Other Brands Don’t Compare to Astria Farms
Before we discovered Astria Farms, we tried a bunch of other herbal brands—hoping something would help. But guess what? Most of them fell flat. Either they were too weak, too old, or just plain disappointing. And when you're hoping for real help with something as important as epilepsy, disappointment stings.
That’s why our family sticks with Astria Farms for our journey in natural epilepsy management for kids and grown-ups alike. Their commitment to purity and freshness isn’t just good—it’s a blessing.
❌ What Went Wrong With Other Brands
🥀 Weak or Dried-Out Products Some brands sent flower that was as dry as old leaves in a forgotten book. Not only did it lose its strength, but it didn’t work. That meant wasted money… and worse, wasted hope.
🔍 No Lab Testing Lots of companies skip third-party testing. That means you don’t really know what you’re getting—kind of like picking a mystery potion in Minecraft without checking the label. Yikes!
🎲 Unpredictable Results Without consistent potency, it felt like rolling dice. One day it helped, the next day it didn’t. For something as serious as seizure support, we needed reliable.
☠️ Harsh Chemicals and Fillers Some products had stuff we didn’t even recognize—pesticides or additives that could do more harm than good. That’s not the kind of “healing” God intended for our bodies.
“Let us test and examine our ways and return to the Lord.” — Lamentations 3:40
We believe that means being wise about what we put into our bodies, too—choosing what’s honest, pure, and helpful.
🌟 Why We Trust Astria Farms
Astria Farms delivers what they promise—every single time. Their flower is clean, fresh, lab-tested, and full of healing properties God designed into creation. It’s like their mission is to honor both science and Scripture.
That gives our family peace of mind—and helps my dad feel better, one careful, natural step at a time.
💬 Let’s Think Together
How can we make wise choices that honor the bodies God gave us?
Have you ever had to choose between something easy and something trustworthy?
What helps you feel safe when trying something new for your health?
Tumblr media
🌿 Final Thoughts: Hope, Healing & the Future of Natural Epilepsy Care
The future of natural epilepsy management for kids and families is growing—literally! 🌱 Scientists around the world are continuing to study how cannabinoids like CBD and THC-A can help not just epilepsy, but other brain-related conditions, too.
Groups like the Epilepsy Foundation and researchers in herbal medicine are working hard to understand how these plant compounds can bring even more relief and better lives to people like my dad.
“I finally feel like I have control over my life again.” —My dad, after using Astria Farms for the first time
That moment nearly made me cry. It reminded me of how much peace matters—peace in our brains, our bodies, and our hearts.
🌟 How Astria Farms Changed Our Story
Finding Astria Farms didn’t just help my dad’s seizures—it helped him feel like himself again. Since starting their CBD and THC-A flower:
🧠 His seizures have gone way down
😴 He sleeps better and feels more rested
💬 He laughs more, shares more, and joins in life again
Their commitment to freshness, purity, and science-backed quality made all the difference. We’re so thankful for God’s creation—and for companies that treat that gift with care.
“Every good and perfect gift is from above.” — James 1:17 And sometimes… that gift grows in a garden.

(possibly) controversial opinion:
i miss when 9-1-1 had like one or two Big Things per season that got pretty decently spread out throughout the season, and we got episodes that were intently character focused in between, rather than the 50,000 big dramatic moments in every episode, only broken apart by like maybe one fluff episode, with an nde every two seconds
bc if an nde does happen in 814/15, that will be two major nde plotlines in the span of five episodes, with little to no break in between (especially since we know 811 and 812 are both going to be very call heavy/drama heavy episodes), and will be the fourth nde this season (athena, denny, maddie, and whoever in 814/15)
i understand that nde’s are an easy way to give a sense of emotional intensity that can be used to wrap up a certain arc or plotline, but when it’s used for every single one, all it does is get stressful, and repetitive, and it takes me out of it- especially when we used to have a pretty decent balance a few seasons ago.
like, im sorry two episodes in the middle of a half-season should not “feel more like a season finale” right after we just had maddie go through “the worst thing she’s ever experienced” that is apparently “worse than doug”
it was more excusable in s7 when there were only 10 episodes to cram a full season into (even though i still don’t think they necessarily had to) but tim has not slowed down since, and now we have an unbalanced clunky season that had a crazy first few episodes, followed by the backhalf of 8a that was kind of lack luster and bland in terms of plot, and then we’re launching into 8b that is going to be fast-paced and heavy pretty much throughout.
don’t get me wrong- i actually am really enjoying the maddie arc these first two eps back, but an entire half-season of stuff like this is just too much and i miss the old vibe of the show; i miss my silly little weewoo shenanigans that had small bits of drama infused, rather than just drama drama drama drama with tiny bits of weewoo shenanigans instead.
(although- i think that’s in part due to the fact that tim made the god awful decision to bring **** **** writers with him when he moved back to 911, but i digress 🤷)
anyway- i was just kinda laying here thinking about it and i just… i’m kinda tired of either being put through the emotional ringer every episode and not getting a chance to breathe or sitting and watching nothing happen for 3 episodes because the writers (*cough* tim *cough*) wanted to wait and put all the big stuff in the backhalf of the season all at once 😭
