I need support right now from someone in the disabled community, hopefully someone who uses mobility aids of any kind (or has advice on helping me possibly find the right one for me) and/or has fibromyalgia and/or hypermobility. Please send me a DM whenever you’re able to, I was just diagnosed and I have so many questions and need some guidance right now — I’m a young teenager and was just diagnosed and even though I’ve been dealing with nearly non stop pain for over a year now I’ve never had more questions than right now and I need help.

You know what? Happy Disability Month to those who were disabled by accident. Cars, skis, ice, sand, rocks, horses, just plain bad luck. Broken bones and backs that never heal. Shoulders that can't lift or move right. Wrists that don't turn. Hands that can't grasp. Brains that don't work right anymore. Legs that don't move anymore and eyes that won't recover.

The shame, the blame, the frustration, the wishful thinking that tears you apart. The beauty of small victories and simple kindness. The community you build. Reshaping a life with no warning. Please Help Homeless Trans Women Serving Our Homeless Squatter Community Raise $150 to Buy Water and Propane for our Neighbors

My girlfriend and I are two transgender homeless women living in Slab City, a homeless squatter town in the middle of the desert.

We live in one of the poorest communities in the United States. There are no utility companies and many people don't have water or fuel to cook with if they don't get it themselves.

Our camp is dedicated to helping our neighbors and our community. We offer free water and to our neighbors for drinking, cooking, and heating.

To fill both our water tanks it costs $80, and to fill our propane tanks it costs $40. To get a ride to the store to fill the tanks costs $30.

We don't have an income outside of whatever donations we raise and so if we can't raise money, we can't help people.

Please help us raise $150 to help our friends and our neighbors maintain access to water and propane.

my friend harmony is a disabled trans lesbian who has been homeless for almost two months now , relying solely on the kindness of strangers to make ends meet . after all this time , she’s finally caught a break – her cousin has extended an invitation to live with her and has offered to help her get a job at her place of work . this is absolutely fantastic news and i’m so so excited for harmony to get back on her feet !! 

the only issue is that her cousin lives roughly 2000 miles across the country . harmony is ready to go whenever , she just needs a little more help: she’s disabled and cannot drive for super long periods of time , so she will need to stop and stay at a hotel a few times along the way ( ~$200 ) . she also needs gas to fill up her tank ( ~$250 ) and food to eat ( ~$50 ) .

all together , she only needs about $500 to make this trip . if you can spare anything at all , please send a few dollars her way ! i know we’re all struggling , so if you can’t afford to help monetarily , please boost this post !! harmony is so so close to finally being in a stable situation again . thank you for reading !!!

I'm tired of being terrorized

Hey everyone, if you follow my partner @800-dick-pics you would know that we are currently being harassed extorted and stalked by my family on a resolved issue even after we've escaped their anti black and ableist abuse

Their harrassment is very clearly racially motivated almost exclusively singling out my black disabled neurodivergent partner, as evidenced in the screenshot they provided on their post (there's more than this one, but its all too hard to read)

At this point, I want nothing more than for my gf and I to be left alone entirely by my family with no way of contacting us, this is a dire emergency! They will not leave us alone as long as they have a means to terrorize us

At the present we need *at least $500* to afford food, toiletries and new phones with new numbers to be able to cut them off once and for all

We will continue to be harassed if this goal is not met, we will not be able to know peace if we can't cut them off completely so we NEED this ASAP for our collective health

Anything and everything helps

We're hungry and scared and just want to be left alone so we can heal and we can't do that without the support of the community

EMERGENCY CAT SURGERY | Pickle needs HELP!

I never thought it would be my turn to make one of these posts.

Sunday night, my 6 month old kitten, pickle, had a really bad fall down a hardwood staircase after getting startled, and upon impact with the first floor, his little femur took the entire force of the impact and it snapped clean in half. My heart dropped to my stomach when I heard him thump hard against the ground and he began to cry, we immediately dropped everything and rushed him to the emergency vet nearby.

Turns out, the injury was worst than we thought. He needs orthopedic surgery to fit his femur with a metal plate. This will help him recover faster with the best successful outcome for his quality of life, but this is going to cost a staggering $4,000 dollars. He hasn't even celebrated his 1st birthday yet, he's still just a baby and this terrible accident happened. Pickle is truly my best friend, he has been my little beacon of light through it all, he is the one who sits with me while I write long chapters for my novels, and I will do absolutely anything for him.

My heart is fucking shattered seeing my normally happy and high-energy baby have such a traumatic injury like this. I know this is hard on his mental health, too. Please, if you can, help us help pickle. If anyone is willing to donate to our GoFundMe to help us alleviate the burden of surgery costs while I'm literally still desperately job hunting, it would help me and my partner more than you can imagine. If you can't financially support it at the moment, don't worry, I completely understand. But please, share this post as far out into your friends list as you can. Our camp is dedicated to helping our neighbors and our community. During the end of the month we often provide meals and a community pantry.

To go shopping for the bare necessities we need $80, but everything we raise over that feeds another person.

We don't have an income outside of whatever donations we raise and so if we can't raise money, we can't help people.

my friend harmony is a disabled trans lesbian who was recently kicked out twice by transphobic relatives and friends . she’s been applying for jobs but she hasn’t had any luck yet . she currently has no source of income and nowhere to rest her head at night except her car , and it’s been below freezing where she lives .

I am about to start teaching a sewing class with a local community centre. It's a volunteer position, so I don't get paid, but it's still a really big deal for me.

The people taking the course are low income, so I was hoping I could turn to you lovely people for spare change to help me cover some of their fabric and notion costs. Also, if you're in or near Toronto and have fabric or bedsheets sitting around taking up space, I would be more than happy to take it off your hands!
