DCAS is like. the worst season of DSVC ever and not only that but it’s so much worse than even TDAS. which, like, the bar is in HELL so it should be impossible to not make a better show than that but somehow ONC managed to make it THE WORST.

three love triangles, almost zero real development, almost no good plotlines. if you didn’t bring back half this cast and just ended their stories with their respective seasons, not only would nothing have been changed, but they’d have been BETTER.

likd, the only people who actually got something good out of DCAS were alec & fiore because they made up. say you don’t bring back tom & jake - they get a hopeful ending. don’t bring back gabby & ellie - okay, they’re happy anyways. don’t bring back miriam - she won! who cares! don’t bring back james & aiden - they’re together, they’re happy. don’t bring back grett - she gets a hopeful ending. don’t bring back ashley - who the FUCK cares about ASHLEY she did NOTHING for the story. don’t bring back huntessally - who cares they’re all mid-tier characters at best. don’t bring back connor - everybody forgot he existed anyways. don’t bring back yul - please GOD do NOT bring back yul.

like. name me one character besides alec and fiore whose story was significantly changed by being in DCAS. gabellie? they had a mild disagreement then went back to being okay. tomjake? they literally returned to that hopeful ending they got in season 1. jaiden? james was kicked out first and aiden was just stuck in between tomjake the entire season.

and also, oh my god i could’ve lived happily without ever having to deal with trevek again. man FUCK trevek they have zero chemistry from day one. they piss me off sm they’re like tomjake but a bit older and so so so much stupider and meaner on dereks part.

all ONC did with DCAS was show us they genuinely 1) do not care about their characters whatsoever, unless it directly benefits them and 2) cannot. fucking. write.

hatchetfield teens x are you afraid of the dark: curse of the shadows remix with some type of gang (most likely smoke club) going up against a tom houston version of the shadowman.

like... there's a implied romance between a rebel without a cause and a nerdy loser who's stronger than he looks (lautski). even if you didn't ship that, there's another romance you can pick from where there's a tough girl who's fighting for justice and the nerdy loser is here as an awkward yet also just as intelligent and cool guy following along (lautski but also lexthan???) there's a sibling relationship that is good but rocky but also regains stability as they fall into the same supernatural horror (the fosters). a comic book geek realizes that the comic he's reading is telling the future and thus sacrifices himself with an iconic line brought back from an interaction before (more richie coded but like... art??? deb maybe??? could also be ziggs). a hard working girl who's friends with the chaotic group despite her responsbilities, gets dragged into it and gets traumatized all because she wanted to help them (alice). the entire reason the villain even becomes the villain is for his kid. there's so many more things i could list that would fit the hatchetfield characters perfectly. i will write this myself if i have to

TTTE Swap AU Concept! (Or Classically Modern TTTE AU)

So I finally managed to have enough ideas to write an outline of what my swap au would be like! The characters that I currently swapping with each other are:

Toby ⬅️➡️ James

Edward ⬅️➡️ Gordon

Thomas ⬅️➡️ Percy

BoCo ⬅️➡️ Diesel (BoCo is a wip)

Daisy ⬅️➡️ Mavis (Both are wips)

Henrietta ⬅️➡️ Hannah (Both are wips)

Donald & Douglas ⬅️➡️ Bill & Ben (Both are wips)

Henry ⬅️➡️ Emily (Both are wips)

Let's start with what the characters' personalities that aren't wips are like and their inspirations!

Thomas: Very caring and kind while also being very bright and smart! He's less cheeky than his MC self and his love of skateboarding is swapped with creating inventions! He still goes crazy when he eats candy lol. His main inspiration is Mac from Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends.

Percy: Acts like a dick and can be very lazy. Is very bratty and loves to mess around with other engines. Despite this, he can be very courageous and is willing to sacrifice himself for his dearest friends. Instead of being confused with long words, they are now confused by sarcasm despite using it themselves. Main inspo is Bloo from Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends.

Toby: Very expressive but can often be very arrogant and reckless. Doesn't think that he's old and tries to fit in with the younger engines. As a result, he wears very modern clothes. and feels very insecure about himself deep down (Also he's loves fashion hehe hoho) Is willing to throw hands at anybody if they dare to hurt his loved ones. Character inspiration is Anne Maria from Total Drama with bits of Connor from Disventure Camp sneaked in.

James: Very selfless and very hardworking although he tends to be a people pleaser and gets stepped on a lot. He isn't vain anymore and red is just a favorite color of his. Still likes fashion although she sees it as a part time hobby. They can be a bit spoiled but still very sweet and generous. Dakota from Total Drama was their main inspiration.

Edward: Very uptight, seems to not smile at all and very serious. He doesn't have insomnia in this au but he is a massive workaholic, causing him to neglect his own wellbeing for the sake of the railway. Instead of being interested in punk culture, heavy metal and rock music, Edward takes a liking to the supernatural world. Is able to see and communicate with ghosts, demons, angels and other entities. Main inspiration was Loid Forger from Spy x Family. Oh and when he smiles, it usually looks something like this:

Gordon: Full of life and energy, always like helping people and is generally down-to-earth. Very humble and is very calm during dire situations. He tends to be very spontaneous and sometimes too excited when he sees an opportunity. Main inspo was Jack Skellington from the Nightmare Before Christmas.

Diesel: Absolutely loves steamies and the troublesome trucks and sees them as family in contrast to canon Diesel hating them. He is the main caretaker of the troublesome trucks and sees them as his own kids. So if you treat Diesel badly, the trucks are coming for your ass. Very mild and doesn't like to lie to others. Tends to be honest although it does sometimes lead him to accidentally insulting people. Is regarded as one of the nicest diesels by others. Character inspiration was Wilt from Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends.

Side info:

The characters keep their og sexualities and genders from the MC AU. Toby x Edward, Toby x Henrietta, Gordon x BoCo etc are still canon to this AU. The characters are still them by the end of the day. Thomas is still Thomas, Percy is still Percy and so on. Backstories may be altered or different than the backstories from Modernly Classical. Same goes for headcanons. Their designs might change in order to fit their personalities more. (If I ever had the motivation to make them in GL2 lol)

[or at least, known for being caught not dying.] Connor would like to go on record saying he’d love to stay out of this too. Between suspicious teachers, learning magic, the castle trying to murder their Ravenclaws, and Harry’s biological family trying to reconnect after ten years, everyone is busy. At least one thing hasn’t changed: the Wizarding World won’t know what hit them.
