Some people can’t take a hint.
One of the down sides of working from home is the useless amount of time wasted with colleagues in other countries demanding face to face meetings on Zoom. An email would have sufficed.
I put this tea mug quite prominently in front of my work computer screen to express my unspoken displeasure. If they laugh they assume I must commenting on other colleagues. Most don’t notice and instead just focus on the book shelves as a back drop for my Zoom-ing with their own. It seems home office etiquette is to have one’s book shelves as a background wall on any work related Zoom calls.

Petition: Grant all children access to high-quality remote education if they have to self-isolate
https://www.change.org/schoolonline
Help to close the COVID-19 education gap by:
1) Making it compulsory for all schools to provide face-to-face, interactive, online lessons to all children in the event that they have to self-isolate.
2) Issuing clear guidance to state schools containing details of the schemes set up by the government to provide them and their students with sufficient technology, as well as how to apply for them.
3) Making it obligatory for state schools to participate in these schemes if they are necessary for the school to be able to provide face-to-face, interactive, online lessons to all children in the event that they have to self-isolate.
According to a recent investigation by the Institute of Fiscal Studies, under 20% of state school pupils in the UK received face-to-face, interactive, online lessons during lockdown and according to the Guardian over 70% of state school pupils received a maximum of just one online lesson a day.  Whilst the government is now offering funding for state schools to set up online learning platforms, which can provide students with face-to-face, interactive, online lessons, the details of these schemes are hard to find as they are scattered across the government website in lots of different places. Furthermore, it is the responsibility of the schools to apply for these and it is not compulsory for them to do so.
This has to change.
Please therefore support me in asking the government to make a step-by-step guide emailed to all state schools detailing what funding is available and how to apply for it, making it compulsory for all state schools to apply for this funding if they would benefit from it and for all schools to provide face-to-face, interactive, online lessons for all children who have to self-isolate.

In order to control the coronavirus, the Hongkong government forbid all dining services in restaurants, the social gathering restrictions is now limit to TWO people.
Yet, they are not closing the border to contain the virus.
Oh, and we still have to go to work. Surely we won't contract the virus on our way to work, why would the virus attack hardworking people like us?

There is so much to give thanks for even for 2020 when there was so much uncertainty and unprecedented situations in and around the world. Covid-19 has thrown people off their feet. The smallest of things causing big destruction and much fear in people. I want to thank God for bringing us through and how He has protected us from the disease, and brought about peace and joy into the household. The lockdown has given us time with the family. As long as we have each other, we are stronger.

The thing I hate about quarantine
I don't really have anything against quarantine and to social distance yourself during a pandemic. Cause I can still talk to people and get outside for that Vitamin D, I understand that it is necessary for me and others.
But what is making me hella nervous is the fact that I have so much time to think. About my life, my choices, my relationships past or present, my concerns, my issues, my future.
Insecurities start to kick down the door out of nowhere and I can't distract myself, because there isn't really anything to do at the moment. Overthinking is a regular thing at the moment, cause my brain has the time and fear about impossible scenarios multiply.
It leads to moments where I just sit there at the brick of tears and can't do anything cause I'm in a sort of emotional overload.
So yeah that's the only thing I hate about quarantine. But I still think it is necessary.

In today’s environment with Covid-19 still a threat and the foreseeable future will be more viruses popping up out of the woodwork, disturbing the “normal”, we need to find the right words to describe what’s going on and how to protect ourselves.
Maybe... we just don’t have them?

Can I just call out the anon that wished death on you simply because you’re worried about your health; like thats way f*cked up and honestly not okay👀 you have every right to be worried and upset in times like these. That anon was way too entitled
People are really strange anymore. What a weird anon to start with; I’m not much worried about ME per say. Regardless, I’ll be sick. But I’m not going to die.
I’m just scared I may have infected my family and THEY can likely die if it gets them..
