With the "Experiment 1354" tape playing on loop in my head, I'm super fascinated by what in particular spurs on the rage and disbelief within Harley as he's regaining consciousness.

With regards to Dr. White, the obvious yet cruelly-poetic irony of being turned into one of his own experiments, operated on by someone who used to be a subordinate at one point in time, seems to be what nearly makes Harley fly off the handle. The control he once had, now entirely torn away (in more ways than one). But when Leith enters the picture... that rage is still present, of course. Simmering, you could say. But it isn't until Harley thinks that Leith's implying that he- I mean, Playtime... doesn't "need" him anymore that he has another emboldened outburst.

Leith's name signed on a piece paper seems to be what dictates what Harley can and can't do. Being rehired, leveraging investments, approving his projects, being demoted, having his body stripped away in favor of the mind... But at least Harley can find some satisfaction in the fact that it's his pure, unmatched brilliance that drives those decisions of Leith's. There is a need...

some thoughts on the pregnant kier statue from the birthing cabin:

The show doesn’t seem transphobic- (it would be really, really cool if the show introduced a trans character in season 3 though) but when Gemma is filling out the forms at the fertility clinic one of the visible information requests is pronouns- so the pregnant Kier statue means more than just being a weird, Lumon thing. (Link to a post with the form)

It communicates Lumon’s ideology about parental control over children- see the way Jame commented on Helena’s breakfast in episode 9- but also the iron fist Lumon rules its workers with. If they’re all “Kier’s children”, then Kier or Jame or whoever is in charge of the company at the time should be forgiven by its employees for any mistakes it makes. I’m your father, how dare you question me? I went through all this work to make this company, to birth it, through my own blood sweat and tears, and beget my workers, my children, to keep up my legacy. Don’t you know this is a privilege, to do this? How lucky you are that you’re here and you’re a part of me? You only have a job because of me, I deserve something in return.

Lumon clearly has a very conservative idea about pregnancy and birth- someone had to choose that Cold Harbor would be Mark’s final file and Gemma’s final re-enactment. They find birth of new workers holy, so of course they would think Gemma not being able to remember her miscarriage a complete confirmation that the Severance procedure works. That’s one of the worst things we believe can happen. She doesn’t react, so of course it works.
