He looks in the mirror, with tired eyes,
Seeing the reflection that makes you feel ashamed.
Too fat, that’s what you think,
Inadequate in a world that values intense thinness.
He tries to change, goes on a diet and exercise,
But it seems that nothing works, it’s a torture.
His body is a problem, he believes,
And insecurity takes over, it’s damn it.
Until one day, he gives in to the pressure,
And it ends up developing a disorder in the diet.
You lose too much weight, but the sadness persists,
And your health, little by little, gives up.
Now, people praise him for his weight,
But he knows this is an illusion, a stumbling block.
Your mind is a prison, a trap,
And he feels more and more alone, with no way out.
The boys look at him with contempt,
As if he were less, a complete failure.
He wants to scream, to say that it’s not just a body,
But his words are swallowed by fear, a torment.
And so, he continues in this spiral,
Of insecurity, guilt and social inequality.
He just wants to be accepted, loved as he is,
But it seems that the world only wants perfect bodies, without faith.
He wonders if he will ever find peace,
If you will be able to free yourself from this nefarious cycle, which undoes it.
But for now, he keeps fighting, without giving up,
And hoping that one day, you can finally smile.
