Not too bad, considering I haven't committed to any TRUE lifting since December. But here's a thought: do you have any kind of #injury, whether it be a form of #tendonitis, #tendonopathy, etc? You still can lift if you wish; you'll simply have to work around the injury while it's healing. That's all. Since I've been back at the gym, whether it be @strongandshapely or @goldsgym.mw, I've completely changed my training to a more machine oriented, #bodybuilding friendly approach. I'm using #dumbbells and a few key #selfmyofascialrelease tools when working on my #golferselbow. And the, for the sake of #stabilization, I'm using multiple different machines in one big #giantset to get on and out of the gym within an hour max. Once your understand how to recreate an arch in your foot you can start to progressively load it. Give it a try! ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Repost 🎧Regain the arch of your foot! _________________________ This is how I coach my clients to recreate an arch in their foot. Use this with "Feel Good About Standing" and you'll never feel more stable. __________________________ 3 Key Points: 1. Scrunch your toes into a ball (flexion). 2. Apply & maintain pressure to the ball of your foot (Tripod Stance). 3. Release your toes. 4. Maintain this arch during weight bearing exercises. Example: Bilateral Stance, Squats, Single Leg Stance, Split Squats. __________________________ A properly arched foot allows you to maintain proper balance and stability all the way up through your hips. __________________________ Fixing your flat feet is the first step if you suffer from foot or hips issues. __________________________ Other videos to check out: 1. Symmetrical sequencing and stability through your core to your extremities could be limiting your rotation and power. - Lie on your back, arms overhead - Slowly reach with one arm and your head across your body - Reach until you roll over, without moving your legs - From your stomach reach back and across your body with your arm and your head - Reach until you roll over without using your legs Compare each arm front to back, back to front for asymmetries. What’s the missing puzzle piece? _______________________ INTEGRATION...John told me he had “a lot of pain walking no matter how many exercises he did.” _______________________ John was previously given exercises with no light at the end of the tunnel. He didn’t understand how they would improve his walking mechanics. . I took time to explain the exercises were just a way to build a foundation. From this foundation I explained how we could use the movements together to improve his waking and then...we practiced...over and over. . 1. Mobility (Prime) 2. Exercises (Mold) 3. INTEGRATE Movements into Patterns - Walking (Fire) 4. REPEAT . Each time we saw small improvements and new light bulbs were lit above John’s head as he started to piece together the puzzle on his own. In this vid I hold my spine neutral, a flexed spine and an extended spine would also be great options to cover all the bases. . Another option would be to spine around and have my back to the wall.
