My apologies to the hard working, unfairly treated, writers, directors, cast and crew but I am not exaggerating when I say I am one more cancelation from not being willing to start any more new shows. I can't keep getting attached to these characters and excited to see their stories only for them to canceled after one or two seasons and never be told. Especially when most of them only get eight episodes or less. I wouldn't mind short seasons if I got a complete story but that rarely happens anymore.

“Mother, I crave violence.” 

  Danny paused in the middle of his work, turning off the torch as he turned towards Dan. Who had once again be de-aged for destroying a world a few years before. (Ellie had cackled for hours about her being the older sibling now) The currently-six year old was scowling, definitely not pouting. 

  He raised an eyebrow, setting his tools down. “Jordan, we’re literally in an assassin’s den right now-” Honestly running into someone he’d met in his time-traveling was rather interesting, apparently his old rival had become so ecto-contaminated that he was immortal now. “-and I know you just got out of sparring, so are you really ‘craving violence’ or are you just bored?” 

  Dan pouted, sorry, he scowled. “Your ‘friend’s’ kids kept tryin’ to copy me and got in the way.” He hopped up onto one of the chairs, visibly not happy about not being able to fly as he glared at tiny legs. Tough shit, he knew better than to destroy worlds, they couldn’t always reverse time. 

   Danny sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “They’re just trying to play-” Maybe to a human they wouldn’t, but honestly everyone here was so liminal they were probably closer to ghosts than anyone except for Amity. Which had also been displaced in time after getting dragged to the ghost zone, so it had been soaked in ecto longer anyway. 

   “They got in the way and I almost stabbed Dusan!” Dan whined, despite what he’d insist. “At least Elnath can go intangible and Nyssa can dodge!” Ah, that was the issue. He’d been worried. 

   “Little sunbeam, you don’t have to worry,” Danny soothed, scooping up the ghostling. Even though he had been an adult, the chemicals in the brain and body were still that of a child’s. A young child at that. “The trainers are there to keep an accident from happening.” 

  Not to mention that he was rather confident that between Ras and himself they could keep any injuries to minor ones. Sam would have loved to meet him, Danny thinks. Honestly they would have been best friends, but Sam was off on another world on a mission to collect every plant in existence, so good for her, and Tucker was back in the reincarnation cycle. 

  Oh well, at least he wasn’t waiting for them alone, and maybe Dan having more siblings would help stop another timeline-breaking accident from happening.

Yes of course! ^^ It would be angsty... and fluffy! These two are the silliest people who ever lived tbh 🩷🐥

König is young in this AU (around his early 20s) and wildly inexperienced compared to some of the other recruits his age.

His first time was with a girl who joined the army when König had been there for about 1.5 years already. Desperate as he was with hiding the fact that he’s still a virgin, he tumbled into bed with this lady after a night out at the bar. She thoroughly seduced him, and König’s instincts told him she was only looking for fun, but he went with her anyway because, well. Loneliness can kill you, you know?!

He tried to woo her a bit after that until it became quite clear that this woman was not planning to settle down anytime soon. If anything, she was looking for a new conquest – and it’s fine, totally fine, except that König had surrendered a tiny piece of his heart to her along with his dick... That’s just how he is, and it took him more than a few months to get over the fact that it was “just a shag” and he “shouldn’t take things so seriously”.

That’s also why he closed off from people again, decided to concentrate on work and training and gym – until our cute little angel stumbled into his life like the prettiest saving grace! König was a goner from the start because this girl's approach was very different, so gentle and sweet compared to grimy shot glasses and smudgy lipstick and raunchy jokes. It’s a given that he was a little shocked when she sent her that pic 🙄 reminding him of promiscuous women who are not looking for a soul but a body, but because he is what he is the first thing he did was crank things up a notch and send her a dick pic back…

Yes, he’s desperate, but he’s also an go hard or go home man and this time, König is relatively sure he’s dealing with a lovely, delicate soul. Someone who wouldn’t just leave him out in the cold after getting what she wants.

And everything is like a fairytale between these two until she finds out he’s not a virgin despite he seemed a bit… like one… (in this scenario I think reader is a virgin and she thought König was one too because of obvious reasons? lol) And it’s fine, totally fine for her as well, except that the image of König having the night of his life with some military babe is haunting her from dusk till dawn.

There’s bound to be some drama when she starts asking timidly whether she’s still there… Whether they see each other every day. If they talk to each other, if he trains with her, etc. What if they test rifles together, or go out again with the sniper crew and get drunk and König feels… a little lonely?

She knows he would never cheat on her, not in a million years, but knowing how much of a wet dog he is she can’t promise that she’ll be all calm and relaxed during weekends, knowing her boyfriend is out there, full of testosterone and heart, his heart somewhat susceptible to female influence… Maybe even good old seduction…

And what’s even worse is the jealousy, the envy.

What if she’s more badass than her? That doesn't take much... She must be fierce if she’s in the military, something completely different, a forbidden apple König might want to taste again. It’s maddening, and when she finally opens up about it to him, spitting it out one night when he asks what’s bugging his sweet angel, there’s a big fat silence that follows.

König can't even believe she has torn her heart to pieces over something like this, alone and upset and ashamed when she's a literal angel. He sits her nice and pretty in his lap and talks her ear off about how he has nothing against this woman, truly, but that she is nothing compared to his first (and hopefully last!) girlfriend. Their love could never be compared to what happened between him and that girl, these things can’t even be spoken together in the same sentence. If he’s completely honest, his first time was... disappointing. Awkward, humbling, a total drunken mess of which he remembers nothing except that the woman wasn’t completely present either and that he was ashamed that his first time had to be like this.

Honestly, he felt like he lost his virginity on the night when he came to see her. She’s everything he’s ever dreamed of, all he thinks about these days... It’s quite annoying, actually, because he’s supposed to concentrate on how the wind blows and that the ammo doesn’t get wet and that he’s properly concealed.

He could be lying in a ditch with dummy rounds whirling past him and all he could think about are her eyes and lips and giggling and tits and, and… that. How warm it is, how nice it is, how he would just want to curl himself next to her when he hops back to his bunk in the evening. Her smile is the last thing he sees before he dreams, her voice is what he hears. All the things she said, all those sweet, silly little things, chime in his ear before he sleeps.

And all the precious moments they’ve already spent together, the times he made love to her under the trees... There’s nothing like that in the whole world and if she thinks something else can top that she's even sillier than he thought. He could comb through all the continents and he would never find a girl like her.

So tell him again... Why would he go to a shot glass of saltwater when he has a jar of wild honey right here at home?

I’m just gonna take a second to ramble abt my predictions/theories or just shit I would find funny abt the sun and the star <3

Will is gonna Med Student his way around the cosmic horror that is Tartarus being the body of an ancient deity

Like “oh shit if we’re inside his body does that make the monsters we’re fighting like, his immune system? Since we’re like unknown pathogen?” or “Human bodies r so weird already of course primordial god bodies would be fucked up n weird too.”

And Nico’s like what the FUCK how are you so CALM ABOUT THIS

The reason: Will had a crisis abt how he would feel and react if he was in the Magic School Bus as a kid. Ms Frizzle prepared him for these cosmic horrors.

We all know abt the Orpheus and Eurydice parallel but LISTEN LISTEN I swear I have a fresh take on it

Nico as Orpheus bc he has to put his whole entire trust in Will. He has to believe that he won’t be abandoned again. That someone loves him enough to fight tooth and nail to stay with him. He has to fight against all the trauma he’s gone through and the walls he’s built up to expose his heart and hold on to faith that he won’t be hurt again.

It’s raw proof of the changes and healing he’s gone through!! Being able to be vulnerable enough to openly love, care, and trust again despite all the risks!!

Will as Eurydice bc he needs to know that Nico genuinely deeply cares abt him in the same way he does for him. He’s spent this whole time putting everyone first despite his own emotions and feelings, he needs someone to put him first. Make him a priority, prove that he’s important.

He’s been on the sidelines this whole time. Compared to the rest of the demigods we’ve followed Will is very easily overshadowed, and I think it’s easy for Will to have developed some kind of mindset where he thinks everyone else’s lives and wellbeing is more important than his own.

Bc we always see Will taking care of other people, when have we seen someone take care of him in the same way? Having someone fight to protect just him?

This goes especially hard if it’s some kind of self-sacrifice situation that leads to the Orpheus and Eurydice parallel to begin with

This goes DOUBLY HARD if we throw in the Apollo cabin curse, where Will expected he was going to die from the start like all his siblings before him, but he went anyways bc he’d rather sacrifice himself than let Nico face Tartarus alone again

Idk both Nico and Will struggle with abandonment issues and self worth, but I feel this arrangement is the strongest and most emotionally impactful

I also rlly like the idea that Nico and Will are supposed to represent Balance and Unity vs Chaos and the Abyss

And that’s why the quest is just the two of them!

You can split them apart but ultimately they will always fight to find their way back together again, it’s the natural balance of the universe

I think it would be rlly cute if they reunite at the climax after being split for a portion of the quest and they get to have the cliche reunion kiss our love gives us the power to prevail type moment

A real #lovewins kinda situation

I also think it would be funny bc it would pretty much be gay ppl kissing demolishes the primordial deity of the abyss

seems like a wicked missed opportunity to write 500 pages of a book centering on nico di angelo and his previous Trauma and the Darkness Within him, to the point where nico himself and also others independently remember and are concerned about the time that nico let a guy (octavian) die through the fault of octavian’s own actions, nico’s only fault there being inaction, and then the whole book does not mention At All Even Once the time nico brutally and cruelly murdered a human man (bryce lawrence) hello???

The Sun And The Star. It's a Post-Trials of Apollo Nico di Angelo & Will Solace-centric companion novel and it is. very poorly written unfortunately :(

Plot bad. Every inconsistency imaginable. Characters out of character in every way fathomable. Incredibly difficult to make mistakes being made somehow. I'm very much struggling through trying to finish it currently, and half-liveblogging on my PJO sideblog about it (@aroaceleovaldez ) or ranting incoherently in my pjo discord about it. I'm planning on waiting a little bit after I finish it to start reblogging stuff discussing it on main.
