Breaking the Chains of Samsara
Liberation for AllIn the vast expanse of existence, the concept of Samsara transcends the mere cyclical experience of birth, death, and rebirth of individuals. It embodies the universal rhythm of creation and dissolution that ensnares not only sentient beings but the cosmos itself. This cosmic dance is not limited to a linear path of suffering and elation but is an intricate interplay of…

WHAT DOOM FOR YOU?
back again with my Please Read The Thebaid Agenda! I adapted the ending of Book VII into a comic because oh boy. thoughts thoughts thoughts.
There is a horror in having yourself altered to such a degree where you are unrecognizable in your own self, to know that it is happening, to know that you should be dead and yet you are not. You have already seen the moment of your death!!!! (Stat. Theb. 3.537 – 47) There's a horror in knowing, and in it being treated as an act of love when it's really more like a violation. Amphiaraus is spared Creon's decree, but by falling into the underworld, it makes things worse on a cosmic scale.

M'gann family dead it's cause by accident, natural death or get killed
whoa what a charged and somewhat violent way to ask where M'gann's biological family is, haha :V So, White Martians in my au aren't birthed by other White Martians in the way Green Martians are. M'gann is a cosmic being, she came from Mars itself.
Tumblr media
In Sons of Mars, when M'yri'ah says Mars "has blessed us with a new White Martian!" she meant it quite literally! A White Martian's family is whoever takes care of them, which is often Green Martian caretakers.

I’m thinking about Ronan Lynch (per usual)
specifically, I’m thinking about Ronan Lynch being Catholic. Ronan Lynch going to church every Sunday, sitting in the pews and wondering what he is. Ronan Lynch, the gay kid in the southern small town, going to church and asking his God for help.
only he doesn’t get help for that. The Catholic Church has no answers for what the Greywaren is. But it does have an answer for his gayness. And the answer is: you’re wrong. You’re irredeemable. You are shameful.
can you imagine little Ronan going to church hoping for answers, and walking out with nothing but a deep sense of shame for something that not only can he not control, but that has nothing to do with his question? He doesn’t know what he is, but he does know there is something wrong with him.
I just want to give him a hug :(

They’re perfect for each other honestly (Patreon)
#Doodles#Adventure Time#Fionna and Cake#Simon Petrikov#Golbetty#It's not exactly Petrigrof but like - it's not Not that either lol#I'm really really happy that the show acknowledges that Simon was selfish in his and Betty's relationship - it's Very Good#And at the same time in it's small way Beth does give the concession of ''I guess that wasn't exactly [his] fault''#They're both called out! Betty's obsession with Simon caused her own self-destruction - and she takes responsibility for it#Simon is still shafted with the consequences but it's not like Betty doesn't get her own consequences#This whole journey is just more consequences of both of their actions! Of what Betty modeled she was willing to give up!#And Simon loves her. He respects her. He was selfish and self-driven but that didn't stop her from taking root and inspiring him in return#Her being self-sacrificing and then in her own selfish way not letting Simon make the same mistakes as her I just hhhhh#They're so lovely ♥#It's a bit matronizing of her haha but she Wants with her entire essence - she always has <3#It's her turn to be selfish Simon has had his turn - she won't let him throw away her gift as much as he wants to#They're just both so beautifully flawed ahhhhh <3 <3#''We made our choices. We could've made better ones but...I don't have any regrets.''#It's about breaking the cycle! Of him rejecting making the same mistakes! It's beautiful ;;#Also all the halo imagery drives me nuts ♥ Angel bf and his cosmic goddess gf

Welcome!
Tumblr media
This is the official blog for the webcomic, The God Cycle, a Greek Mythology retelling that focuses on Ares and Athena as the main characters in a military-horror plot. This comic deals with dark themes unsuitable for a young audience such as discussions of war crimes, sexual assault, abuse, cannibalism, mental illness, and disturbing imagery.
Synopsis:
The God Cycle is an all-consuming madness. The goddess of war, Athena, marches unflinchingly through history's battles, stuck in a spiral of bloodshed and violence. The Fire of Olympus is fading, flickering until its embers turn to ash. She must find a way to rekindle it once more, even if it means working together with her sworn enemy, Ares. The turning of the cycle may mean the end of the Age of Gods— and their entire pantheon.
Disclaimer: The God Cycle is a webcomic based on Greek Mythology and the works of Homer, Hesiod, Euripides, and others. While most elements are intended to stay true to the original, there are intentional changes intended to serve the theme of the story.

Hey, sis.
Tumblr media
#also someone remind me to make my Cosmic Horror Toddler theory into something coherent
Whenever you have the time.
Okay. So bear in mind we're only like seven episodes in and I have no evidence and really no thought behind this beyond "would that be fucked up or what?" and "ooh I'd love to see what an eldritch abomination growing up is like."
There are also like, all of the spoilers for the original TMA below so like, if you're just listening to Protocol you might want to skip the rest of this post.
Tenuously connected point 1.
One of the things from what Jonny and Alex have said about Protocol is that it's supposed to involve exploring "what makes a person" right? And we also already know Jonny's answer to this question from his, uh, cannibalism discussion.
Short version: a "person" understands their actions as something that actually does things to the world around them beyond simply fulfilling a want like hunger/capable of choosing to do evil.
Tenuously connected point 2.
In the Archives universe, a point is made that the Fears "don't think. Not like we do." They work off instinct.
Tenuously connected point 3.
While I never looked into the ARG before Protocol's release I have since looked into the summaries of what it revealed. Among other things the ARG revealed Magnus Institute of Protocol was studying children via... psychological experiments of dubious morality. Aside from this being why Sam is snooping into the Magnus Institute (for those who haven't looked into the ARG yet, his name is among the children researched) the experiments are pretty much looking into how children at various stages of development display empathy and whether they conform to orders or choose not to and stuff like that (I'm sure I am not wording this part right someone with a better background in psychology can probably expand further).
Anyway, my point is the idea of choices and such is being studied in relation to psychological development in children.
Tenuously connected point 4.
The way the cases so far have played out in Protocol does seem to show a difference compared to Archives.
Smirke's original categories don't seem to fit quite right anymore as each of the cases seem to have stuff that doesn't cram into the original boxes. As the blurry categories were already a major point in TMA regarding creating the Eyepocalypse and even Sam calls out the categorization the OIAR use in the first episode this isn't surprising. But it does suggest that the Fears have changed from what they were before.
Quite a few people have also suggested that in the cases we've seen sometimes the incidents seem to fulfill a desire (in a monkey's paw way, of course) rather than simply finding a random victim. This might suggest the presence of intent rather than only instinct.
So what?
I'll admit it's just sort of my own "ooh wouldn't that be messed up? let's explore that further" thought process doing the talking here, but The Thing that was Fear has existed since things could feel afraid. It's ancient. But it's also a cosmic horror entity that has been shown to grow from it's initial state to what we saw in Archives (see ep 200).
It's something on a cosmic level. Maybe it wasn't done growing. The Fears don't think "like we do"...
but neither do babies.
What if by Protocol the Fears have developed more after leaving their cradle? To a point where they can at least begin to think or choose.
What if the Fears are eldritch toddlers and they're learning how to play?

Something something travelers overnighting at the stables occasionally approaching Beedle with a smile and offhand joke that they could have sworn they just saw him--or a guy who looks just like him--at the previous stable they rode from earlier that day.
Beedle just cheerfully laughs it off, but he’s recently gotten enough of these comments on a semi-regular basis that it makes him very nervous.

Moksha
The Universe in LiberationAs we traverse the intricate corridors of Hindu philosophy, a term that emerges as a beacon of liberation is ‘Moksha’. This concept, commonly associated with individual salvation from the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth, presents a spiritual zenith. However, what if we zoom out from the individual perspective and consider Moksha at a cosmic level? What if the Universe…

It's 2024... am I the only one still concerned about Andy's wellbeing? I saw BVB live in November, finally got the time to read his book, and tried hard to convince myself that he could really be happy. I know he has anxiety and I don't like being sus of his relationship online. Plus, yeah, I'm well aware that he is an adult and supposedly he can make his own decisions. BUT. Especially because he seems to be in a better place now, there's something not clicking with Lilith/Juliet. Andy's book did not give ANY explanations to past mistakes and she seems like an angel there. He seems to have found himself, but his ✨spark✨ does not seem to be sparkling around her. Aside of all the "conspiratorial" territories (I'm scared of false information so I try to avoid those), a documented slap is still a slap, and after the whole Johnny Depp trial I think people should be aware that abu5e has no gender. Roles reversed, he would have been still treated like Ashley. Some people now even seem to blame ANDY for his decision of staying with Juliet/Lilith, when it could well be that it's NOT a decision. I'm afraid that he has been a boiling frog in the relationship with her, and for how much I hope I'm wrong, I'm not convinced at all of them still. Other thing that is not clicking is how is it possible that all of his loving family and friends are allowing this situation, if it's truly something toxic. HELP, does anyone still care?

I should probably be going to bed but I was thinking a lil abt recovery arc Clem and how he has a bit of an identity crisis due to the fact that his depression was a huge part of his personality/identity and in a weird way he found comfort in the misery and now that he’s bettering his mental health that sort of fog/misery funk he’s been in has been clearing up and now Clem is struggling a bit to figure out who he is/wants to be
