#cosplayer problems

Today I ordered the last piece for my Nikolai Lantsov cosplay (at least when it comes to MagicCon at the beginning of next month, it will be one of those cosplays that will constantly be updated I guess). I'm excited, but also so so so terribly scared of wearing it. Over the last year he became one of my biggest comfort characters and I already know that I won't be able to do him justice, but I'm also worried that I don't like how it looks on me at all, because if that's the case the black lump in my chest where others have a heart will brittle away. It could be a truly devastating experience. Or the best case happens and I like or love it and it gives me a huge confidence boost, but that's unlikely. But then again, wearing Kaz' cosplay unexpectedly boosted my confidence too, so my fingers are crossed lol

Got back in the country last night (home around 2AM, actually) to find 13 packages waiting for me -- mostly cosplay supplies, of course! Two of them were additional giant wig cases, since I now need to transport three Squeenix wigs at once.

Unfortunately, one of them arrived with a nonfunctional zipper -- something that was not disclosed in the auction listing. 😡 So now I either have to try to find another 14"+ case for sale within the next week, or try to repair this one... Not looking forward to either task.

Cosplay dillema: do I get a black or auburn wig for the Bride of Frankenstein? Black is obvious and recognizable, and what you see on screen. But her actual wig was auburn!

Also, this stupid bitch (ME), ruined his Nikolai cosplay, because he messed up the colours. For some reason his king-ly colourshame was white and gold in my mind, so the jacket i ordered is white and gold. But his colours are pale blue and gold. White gold is for the servants. I ordered it on an impulse without confirming the colours first and now I pay for it because I don't have the right one. So no jacket it is for the Convention lol

Am I about to go and get more materials to work on my various Jayce cos projects? Yes. Am I thinking about wearing one of said cos projects to a con next weekend? also yes. Will I spend this whe weekend in the car and have to work late every day next week? Absolutely yes. This will be fine.
