A one of a kind pair of floral vintage lampshades 🕊️ I found two very old and worn out looking paper lampshades on eBay, they were Laura Ashley, I believe 1980’s, and a plain cream with a black painted trim. I just loved the square shape, and the cuteness to them. I immediately saw potential, and the fact that they were Laura Ashley just made me love them even more. It made me quite sad to strip them back down to the frame, but the paper really was irreparable. I hand stitched this gorgeous Laura Ashley fabric on to the frames, and finished them off with vintage trim and beading. The lovely 1980’s peach bases go perfectly with the colour scheme of the shades. I really love them 🥰

~15/6/2022~ Most random photo ever that really doesn't go with today! 🙈 ^^ The newish café I had been liking as a place to work, but took H there, and she hated it! ☕️🙃 Anyway, today = hot! But felt about the same as yesterday in terms of how I managed it. Got up and going early as had meeting with supervisor first thing. Then a morning appointment - love my job when the conversations I have with people are helpful to me too ♡ Actually had some things to bring to team meeting. All in all I was quite productive with work, but as usual - so much to do, so little time to do it - decided am going to have to catch up on a bit in Friday morning even though was actually was supposed to be taking off some time from today - hopefully I will sort this situation out one of these days :/ Headed out to last of the singing course - it was actually the one I enjoyed the most out of all of them - one of the leaders I find excessively positive wasn't there, so less strange warm up activities and more singing 👍 I thought I might walk down to the beach before getting the train back as it was slightly cooler in shoreham, but weirdly the beach was scorching hot - couldn't manage more than a minute there. Survived the journey home. Evening was fairly full with tasks - tesco delivery came, but annoyingly they'd run out of milk and the only brand of suncream I can use - the two main things I needed, but hey ho! Had a much needed cool shower while W was here. Do you ever get so caught-up in the “aesthetic” of your feed that you get very frustrated and think nothing is working? That you have lost your creativity forever? You try and try to take pictures and make them fit your “theme”, but othing seems to be working. And then, you look up and snap a picture while sitting cross-legged and hunched over at your desk, expecting nothing, but getting the cosiest picture you have taken in a while? I think a lot about what I want my account to be and how I want to present it. I don’t have fancy camera or props or numerous photoshoots (though it may look like it, it’s not true). When you visit my page I want you to feel comfortable and cosy and like you’re having coffee or tea or hot cocoa with a friend, talking over books. ~15/3/2022~ MCAS episode does seem to be a thing - felt really foggy in the morning, and was getting frustrated when attempted to get on with some work as couldn't focus. Managed to get a few essential bits done eventually! Enjoyed a Carluccios pizza in two halves for lunch and dinner - it actually wasn't as amazing as I hoped, but still good. Then headed out to the bus stop as plan was to meet a colleague in the next town and she'd drive us to this wellbeing walk thing for work on the seafront. Unfortunately the bus was quite delayed, and ended up being 10 mins later to the pick up point than planned - colleague was fine about it, but I always get anxious about being late - we actually got to the meet up 10 mins early though so all good. The meet up was really lovely - we went for a walk along the seafront, some people brought their doggies, it's always really relaxed with the team, which suits me. The sea breeze seemed to help with my MCAS symptoms - attempted to do some more work when I got home as thought I was on better form, but head was still too foggy.
