Hazbin Hotel has ruined Helluva Boss:
Honesty? Hazbin Hotel has ruined Helluva Boss for me.
I mean, it is hard to correspond both show when they are so different.
Helluva Boss cast are petty manchildren who mass murder for fun while Hazbins at least try to be good and the show never condumn any horrible act there, oh sure Alastor is a main character and villainous but the show never tried to justify him with some sob story and repeatedly reminded the watchers that Alastor is evil.
It's like if there was a Rick and Morty spin off but the main characters weren't dysfunctional manchildren who commit many downright immoral stuffs in an episodic basis and the show didn't surgercoat anything that is immoralistically disgusting and treat it humorously.
I mean heck, Adam and Lute are basically Blitz and Loona!
Blitz/Adam: massive pricks who think they are entitled to everything and are assholic because they think they are funny.
Loona/Lute: white haired callous bitches who hang with an asshole.
Blitz and Loona with IMP kill humans for money but honesty? Money is just an excuse because they find it entertaining and killed for pettiest of reasons(killing a fuckton of people over a parking spot anyone?) like Adam, Lute and the Exorcists using the potential of Hell's rebellion as an excuse to kill for fun and hell they even admitted that shamelessly in a song and they see Sinners/Humans as inferior nothing but cattles to slaughter.
Oh sure, Blitz and Loona have a sob origin story but excuse me if I'm not crying a river and it doesn't change the fact that they and IMP are no better than the Exorcists.
I don't know if this was intentional but let's be honest, IMP are mercs who kill humans for money and in a lot of case for even less(like again for a fucking parking spot!) and IMP if they were in Hazbin Hotel would have been villains.

I'll this for Captain Shaw: he's absolutely an asshole and if Riker and Picard's "inspection" had been legitimate he'd be so written up for insolence, but damn if he was right about not changing course. As many times as Picard and Riker had the wool pulled over their eyes and sent on wild goose chases, you'd think they'd be able to come up with a better lie.

I might've added the BG3 Art Book to my dnd assets stash
It' 100% does not have things like the 5e players' handbook + 5e’s character sheet, several gm guides, critical role's explorer's guide to wildmount, baldur's gate and waterdeep city encounters, 101 potions and their effects, volo's guide to monsters, both of xanathar's guides, a bunch of other encounters, one shots, and class builds
In no way are there any pdf’s relating to any wizard who may or may not be residing on any coast
(Edit that I’ve moved the folder to the new link above! So if you catch a different version of this post that link won’t work anymore!)

A.I. photos are flooding social media and contributing to an Internet where we can't believe what we see. Spotting A.I. 📷s is an important media literacy skill.
None of us have time to research every image we see. We just need people to notice BEFORE THEY LIKE OR SHARE that an image might be fake. If unsure, check it or don't share.
I've started drawing some comics explaining the basic of AI spot-checking and media literacy in the age of disinformation. Follow along here or on my Twitter.

Amphibia successed in its ending where Gravity Falls failed:
For the record,I'm not trying to say which ending is better I simply pointing out what Amphibia done right where Gravity Falls done wrong which is none other than the message department:
1-Mabel unlike Marcy only realized because like ALWAYS Dipper made sacrifices for her sake,by this point it has become a character trait of her isn't of developmeny.
2-Mabel unlike Marcy never face her consequences and she learns the same repeative lesson and yet never learns(I'm aware of Lost Legends but thats a comic not part of the show so it doesn't change this fatal flaw in the show and even if it was an episode it would still be repeative and only be in "words" not  "action" Saying admitting is equal to her redeeming herself and completely grow out of it is like saying a smoker only has to say that smocking is bad and it's all done otherwise we have a narration disaster like everything about Star Wars's Sequel Trilogy).
3-Another problem isn't that she caused Weirdmaggedon, is that, after what she accidentally caused through clear bad actions, she absolutely didn't care about it and did nothing to solve it until she got what she wanted. THAT is what makes her responsible for it. You're not to blame for being lied and tricked, but if once you do reallize what you did wrong you shrug it off and you don't care, then THAT makes you to blame for ignoring your responsabilities, unlike Marcy who we see having ACTUAL regret and remorse and doesn't suddenly get forgiven quicky due to the power of "friendship" or some Disney crap. And yes, I know Mabel is 12...but so is Dipper, yet the show doesn't hesitate to force him to be more mature than his two grunkles combined, but Mabel gets spared for being the funny immature one and be nothing more than a manic pixie stereotype(hence why this days characters which follow this trope either subverted or written diffrently than their predecessors like Jinx,Molly,Luz and Marcy),when both of them are co-protagonists.
I don't have a sibiling but I do know that pleasing one in sacrifice of your dreams and everything that makes you you is NOT how healthy relationships works in fact it is toxic which is ironically what Amphibia's message was about UNLIKE Gravity Falls which for SOME reason is hellbent on making a differentiation between Family and Friends and Aspirations.
Thats the difference between Marcy and Mabel, Marcy cared about her REAL loved ones enough to change and accept reality, Mabel's loved ones where replaceable and had to beg her to by changing reality to her liking.

It’s important to recognise that Barbie (2023) criticises both the patriarchy AND the matriarchy. Yes, the Ken’s are just accessories to the Barbies. Yes, they don’t have any say in the government they live under. That’s the point, you’re supposed to feel awful, you’re supposed to want the Kens to have their own agency, you’re supposed to want equality. The Barbie movie explicitly states that the way Barbie treats Ken is wrong, so much so that once he finds a safe space for his masculinity and individual identity he’s so excited to share it with the other Kens.
But they go overboard and replace a matriarchy with a patriarchy and now the same issue exists but in reverse. That’s the POINT!! THATS THE POINT!!! Barbie is not anti-men it’s pro equality PLEASE understand this
13th Aug 2023 UPDATE:
Heeeeey howdy!!
Due to the IMMENSE comments and discussion on this post (thanks ya’ll!!) I’ve decided to update my post with my recent opinions and hopefully clearer explanations!!
First, my original post only considers a very small and very vague analysis of the film!!
Since making this I've read all your comments and learned quite a bit about the matriarchy as it appears in human civilisation. Originally, I was pitting the patriarchy and the matriarchy against each other as though the results of their implementation were equal in the film.
They were not!! Below is the definition of matriarchy I’ll be working off of.
Matriarchy Simple Definition;
Matriarchy is a social system in which women hold the primary power positions in roles of authority. In a broader sense it can also extend to moral authority, social privilege and control of property.
There's a lot to talk about in the Barbie film that would fit better in an essay, so I'll try and condense it into this;
To me, Barbie (2023) is a film about the female experience and the shared connection between women that persists through childhood and adulthood, support and harassment, suffering and joy, mother and daughter.
It uses Barbie as its figurehead because of the immense societal and political impact the doll has had on women, both good and bad (as explained in the film).
The male experience as seen in Barbie (2023) is not the sole focus of the film- rather, it's an accessory (as the Kens are) to Barbie's story, and a necessary aspect of exploration to truly highlight the importance of individualism and healthy personal exploration.
I want to make clear that I in no way think the treatment of the Kens was just as bad as the treatment of the Barbies. I also still agree that the matriarchy fostered by the Barbies wasn’t good for the Kens.
Additionally, I’m aware that this take on Barbie (2023) works strictly within the assumed heteronormative boundaries of gender. There is a lot of nuance in the Barbie film and I don’t think everything can be covered or explained in on Tumblr post— but I hope this clarification helps!!
I hope you're all coming to your own conclusions and analysis of the film in a way that makes sense to you. And for those of you engaging in online conversations and discourse about it, I hope you're keeping yourself and others happy and safe!!!
Much love to you all!! < 3
