Curious anon, you gave me food for thought. So, here we go - the ghouls and their costumes for Halloween party:

Aether: the Wolfman from the 2010 movie. A torn shirt and trousers, a blood-splattered waistcoat, tousled hair and fur and feral look. You won't believe it's him. Is it… is it blood on his fangs? Rain: you'd expect him to dress up as some water creature, but he goes as Dracula from "Van Helsing". He loves vampire movies, so Dracula is an obvious choice for him, but the real question is: what version of Dracula? Classic look is kinda boring, and this version of Dracula has really cool boots and coat. Swiss wanted to go as Dracula too, and he almost talked the ghoulettes into dressing up as the Brides, but Rain has already called dibs. So Swiss dressed up as Beetlejuice. To his surprise, Aurora dressed up as Lydia, she even dyed her hair (temporarily). Mountain comes to the party dressed in a black suit and white shirt with red tie. Everybody thinks he's Slenderman but actually he is Agent 47. Dewdrop isn't one to dress up, besides, he has no ideas for the costume. Swiss suggested him to dress up as Chucky (because of his short height and red hair), but Dew hissed at him. So he comes to the party wearing some skinny jeans and a band T-shirt. But he asked Cumulus to help him with the makeup. Imagine an illegitimate child of Mary Goore and Siouxie, and that will be Dew. But you know who dressed up as Chucky? Sunshine. You'd expect Phantom to be true to his name and dress up as the Phantom of the Opera, but he just wears a torn dirty habit and hides his face under the hood. He's a cultist. Do you want to talk about Our Lord and Savior Cthulhu? Cirrus and Cumulus dress up as Victoria Everglot and Emily. Sunshine planned to dress up as Victor van Dort but Chucky turned out to be more appealing.

Lovecraft in popular culture has existed in variable levels over the last 50 years. Since the death of August Derleth on July 4, 1971, "The Cthulhu Mythos" which might be termed as 'Lovecraft Lite' has become more and more controversial even among the casual fans of HPL's works. Nonetheless we now have RPGs based around Lovecraft's fictional concepts, T-shirts, Cthulhu plush toys, computer pads, paper weights, and an impressive collection of high quality paintings being created by talented artists in full color. Though Lovecraft's legacy will never rise to anything like the 'Caped Crusaders', or any other comic book hero's, we now have at least two COOKBOOKS available at present based on Lovecraft at least dimly. Well, we can only wait and see what avenue of commercial exploitation of Lovecraft will be manifested next. (Exhibit 423)

4. mythical creature you think/believe is real?

Cthulhu. I don't trust the ocean. I like looking at it and don't mind living by it, but I wont go in deep spots of it because I'm just not convinced sea monsters arent hanging around. I don't like submerged man-made objects either. I'm a thalassophobia/submechanophobia person. and don't get me started on drop offs, ok. Nemo was right to be cautious before he made that dumb choice (and look where it got him)

Love Craft monsters

here is one great big list that this will contain: Dunwich horror, cthulu, shoggoth, gloon, rahn tegoth, formless spawn, and azathoth. big list. I will also note that trying to find accurate information surrounding this can only really be achieved by looking at the source material

The dunwhich horror, unfortunatly the only way to get accurate descriptions of what this creature can do is in the full text and I am unsure If I have the time for that due to my time regulation issues that I am still trying to work out. Due to this I will instead be working off of the image on the front cover of a more recent book and the other image. From what I have read the creature has a large tongue though in neither image this is showed. The book cover depicts a creature that has a colouration similar to what I think dead flesh would look like and has a more human upper face though the bottom looks like an organic grill, similar to the gills on a basking shark or the mouth area on former slipknot drummer jay Weinbergs mask in the end so far album cycle. some of the colour may be used for the skin colour of my human part of the model and may consider something similar for the mouth in sketches. The other image feels more insect like due to there being a large amount of segments like a millipede and may be more accurate due to the tongue. It looks more droopy than the other and seems to be having a harder time keeping itself together, like it is made up of multiple worms. The worms are closer looking to individual parasites than tentacles due to the spiked mouths that seem to be at the end and are made up of segments. I suspect that my final result will be more solid like the book cover than the one on the right though I may use a combination of both tentacles depending on which looks better as the book is smoother and more flowy and the right has the textured plates. I may also use the vein effect coming off of some of the tentacles as seen in the book as It just works well

cthulhu print from spiral direct. Yes im using a t shirt its the only way I can find a source comfortably. most of it is wiki that doesnt say where it comes from. The design of cthulhu seems to be quite consistent on its main details, the creature has an octopus shaped head with the tentacles taking the place of the mouth as well as having a large body that towers over the landscape and has two large ragged wings coming out of their back. the colouration seems to always be some type of green from what I have seen but this can vary between a bright green or a dark and dull green as seen in the image above. I am not sure If I will use a green colour in the model I am making but I may consider it if I dont like the other colours I try as I think It would work, so will likely act as the back up options. on the arms and head of this depiction and they have spines that follow the shape of the arm in direction, like armour. I may use a similar shape for on top of the mass if there is time. It reminds me of a barnacle you find on some fish and crustaceans. I will also note that the wings remind me of the rakk in borderlands

shoggoth- second image from path finder

this entity is described as being amorphous and has appeared in both love crafts original works and also in the ttrpg game pathfinder. The path finder image reminds me of leaches in their colour and texture and also the mouths shown. the arms dont appear to move as much as others in terms of winding but definitely look liquidy. I do not have many thoughts on this design. The design on the left however I am much more interested in. I believe this shows the creature more stretched out and taking up more space, leading to gaps in its body and is covered in eyes everywhere, but I am most interested in the blue blisters. I had forgotten that this is something commonly seen in media with infections as well as in real life, like with the bubonic plague. This may be something that I need to consider in the design of my model though I am unsure If it would actually work well, maybe have it act as additional smaller nodes similar to the original larger mass.

gloon. Its an ancient greek statue with slugs coming out of the back. It looks very plain but slightly unsettling because of the lack of colour. The only colour that Is there is the gold on the slugs which feels very bright and because of the connections of gold with greed and corruption it feels slightly like a false ness , probably connecting to the statue image possibly being a mask. shall consider using smaller elements of other colours in order to give some contrast bits to look more interesting.

Rhan-tegoth call of cthulu book. front legs remind me of a spider, may be something used in extra background drawings, possibly as an infection method but I doubt it would have any bearing on the model. Once again I am taking note of the shell on the back, it makes me thing of an insect or a snail for some reason and something else that I cannot name. What I may do Is have a stacked shell or have a second layer of shell indicated by the lip at the point where the shell becomes tentacles.

formless spawn from pathfinder and call of cthulhu

another two monsters from the lvoe craft universe used in a ttrpg, not just in pathfinder but also in call of cthulhu. The call of cthulhu design seems to be the most liquidy of the creature i have look through for love craft and I do not believe it has much to add when considering the other monsters on on this post. The main detail I will take Is that the point of the tendrils seem to resemble a hook, may add that at some point but I am un certain. The path finder design however, seems more like a sludge. still struggling to maintain its form but I have taken note of the pattern seen on the main cylindrical body where it feels scrunched up like some one has piled layers of material and has not attatched it properly, May use a similar texturing instead of uniform on some of the tentacles If I feel It would work

I added all of these pictures on at the same time and after working through all of them after adding them I cannot remember why this was here oas I feel like the rest of this post has contributed everything that This may have. The most that could be gained from this is having a split in the parasite somewhere but I doubt it would work well
