I have a kinda weird Night in the Woods AU idea

Lately I've become interested in Study Group, because of the k drama that's airing. And I thought about a story idea for Gamin.

It's headcanons only for now, but I'm thinking of writing it out and expanding as the series go.

It's written with the drama ver storyline in mind (I started reading webtoon to have an idea what may happen in the future but if I do write more it'll most likely follow the drama)

HC Yoon Gamin x fem! reader

- (Y/n) who has good memory and she doesn't necessarily need to study because she remembers most stuff

- (Y/n) who went to Yuseng because she didn't want to go to the same school as her classmates, so she picked one she knew they wouldn't choose

- (Y/n) who wants to create a game, so she's learning coding and spends her time playing games and collecting info about certain arcs and tips trying to find the best one for her game

- (Y/n) who while spending all her free time planning out the game and learning coding doesn't have time for social interactions 

- (Y/n) who wants to have a boyfriend to find out why all of her previous and current classmates claim it's great to have one, and also not to be a laughing stock when they find out she haven't had a boyfriend yet

- (Y/n) who finds out there's library in the school and goes there to check if they have some books about coding and/or story writing

- (Y/n) who hides when the study group enters but when they talk about a math question and the not-so-great way to solve it, she laughs at their inability and the questions one of them asks

- (Y/n) who after getting caught easily tells them what they need to do to solve it and even writes down the solution 

- Gamin who asks for her name with wide and sparkling eyes

- (Y/n) who after telling her name is then reintroduced by HeeWon as the top 1 student in first years

- Gamin who is excited and immediately asks if she'd join the study group 

- (Y/n) who says she's a little busy with her project and rejects him

- (Y/n) who after some time and more pestering finally agrees to be in the study group but only if they help her find a boyfriend

- Gamin immediately agrees but doesn't know where to start with her part of the deal

- after joining the study group (Y/n) gets robbed of her notes where she had her game plans as well as Gamin's study materials

- (Y/n) who sees Gamin fighting and immediately wants to do a fighting game about someone like him

Dating Veritas Ratio Affection hc's

He's like a tall, very vocal shadow

It's basically just become common place for him to immediately follow you whenever you're heading, without saying a single word, continuing the focus on his activity of writing or reading or whatever as he follows a step behind you

Occasionally he'll look up and be sort of surprised about where exactly you've unconsciously led him, but won't actively admit he was just following you mindlessly

It's very common for him to be constantly solving your minor problems, too

He doesn't want to encourage you relying on him for everything, of course, but any small way he can make your life easier is an action of second nature

Obviously, he has a drink you like all set out and ready for you after an exhausting day, of course the bills, taxes, and other horrible legalities are already taken care of, and yes there's a bath drawn for you, don't look so surprised

He's basically constantly anticipating potential problems or dangers you might face, and takes preemptive steps to keep things safe and pleasant, you can be pretty much positive any action you take has been preemptively thought over thoroughly on your behalf

He's not necessarily going to tell you what to do, but if there is a 'right answer', he will be making it known

Despite his schedule, he is almost borderline devoted to taking some time out of the day to more thoroughly learn about your hobbies and current interests

If you are going to be engaging in stimulating conversation, it wouldn't be fair to make it only about his interests, and all knowledge is beneficial knowledge

Really, engaging in thoughtful conversations and taking real initiative to show he values your interest is his love language

Pretty much any hobby you love, he'll be making an attempt at, if only to spend more time together

If you go searching, you might occasionally find little sticky notes written around his working area, a lot of which are simply fleeting thoughts to be explored in greater depth later (including design plans for a little gadgets he thinks you might get use out of), but a good handful mention your name specifically and different things he wants to bring up with you, or even gift ideas for down the line

Once he realizes that you've been digging around there, he'll probably start writing them in code, giving you just enough time to crack exactly what the conversion is before switching to another, making it into a sort of puzzle

Due to his connections, note taking, and overall general perceptiveness, he is utterly fantastic at giving gifts

If he realizes you two are growing sort of disconnected, or even drifting, because of your need for emotional support, he begrudgingly takes a course or reads extensively on emotional intelligence to better understand and respond, without directly telling you of course

On days when you two aren't able to see each other because of his traveling, he writes stupid long texts filled with his usual style of difficult to read sophisticated language detailing everything you're missing out on and a good handful of check ins for what exactly you're doing and if you're fairing ok

Definitely won't admit to it, but he gets a little paranoid sometimes

His physical affection is usually subtle, that's not his specialty after all... But it's common to find a hand resting somewhere on you keeping you close, or a subtle small kiss on your hand or cheek as a reminder that he does really love you, even if it's done with a rather stoic face

Genuinely doesn't get embarrassed over PDA

Why on earth would he care what anybody else thinks? It's not their business, he's certainly not going to hold back making you feel better over something as stupid as how other people think of him

His compliments tend to feel a bit blunt, as with the rest of his speaking, lacking any sort of nuance or emotional flair, but they all feel incredibly genuine too, like a real testament to your character and accomplishments, always catching you off guard when they do happen

At the very least, you can be thoroughly sure any sort of compliment is given genuinely and with plenty of thought put into it, as he isn't known to hold back on telling his real feelings about somebody to their face...

To celebrate this special occasion Sandara pulled off her jewelry making skills to prepare some unique rings for every sandrocker who wishes to propose to their soulmate ! So without further, here's a little story behind each design,

Qi - Sended an intriguing blueprint to Sandara with complex symbols and diagrams…He assured her that it meant something important to his soulmate so she craved the coded message in precious silver with care. Even if she didn’t get Qi special love language as usual she was sure his loved one would get it ;)

Owen - Our favorite bartender showed an intricate design to Sandara, a delicate pattern almost the same as his own parents' engagement ring. Like the gilding flowers on the cover of a fine book he wished to give his lover the beginning of the story they were about to write together in this life.

Fang - The swan holding a special meaning to him Fang requested Sandara to make his ring the shape of that gracious animal to seal his promise to love and cherish his dearest one forever.

Ernest - Came by with this big and expensive pearl that got a special meaning to him asking Sandara if she could add it to his ring. The pearl symbol of his loyalty and love was carefully placed on the gold ring, the initials of his name and his lover one engraved on the inside.

Pablo - He made a special request to Sandara in search of the most colorful metal they could find for his ring in which bismuth mineral was perfect! Showing how bright and full of all the colors of this world his love was for his chosen one.

Arvio - Insisting on getting the most fine materials Arvio asked for a special ring. He showed Sandara a rare sand flower from Baranarok symbolizing hope and renewal inspiring the shape of that jewel meant to bond him and his other half forever.

Miguel - Requested a rather simple but very elegant ring, made with pale gold with a single diamond to show the purity of his love for his chosen one.

Burgess - Asked for something extra special to convey all his will to live in happiness and kindness with his soulmate. The yellow diamond he chose shining in the center of his ring radiating like the sun all his love.

Pen - In secret Pen demanded the most powerful ring Sandara could make to give his special one great strength and power he’s all for. However he never delivered it himself…

Unsuur - While admiring his collection Unsuur couldn't choose which gem was more fitting so he brought them all to Sandara to make a special ring! (even adding a few shards Wilson lost to make the base of his special ring ;)

Justice - Wanted a pretty ring that still felt like him so Sandara took great care at bringing out Justice strong will and honesty toward his most precious one with this silver and copper ring.

Logan - The only one Sandara didn’t made because well Logan made it himself for his special one! On late hunt nights he sat by the fire and carefully carved this ring in bones with the will to give his loved one something he made with all his heart.

This isn’t much but I hope everyone will have much fun playing and living wonderful adventures with Sandrockers friendly as romantic ones ! As I used to study jewelry making it was very much fun to do and fitting hc that Sandara would make them for the town folks !

It’s been already one year that I have being in this fandom and so so grateful for everything it brought me and the wonderful people it allowed me to meet ♡

Yippee! A place to yap about Exploiter / Past 7n7!

I think young 07 swore like hell. Just a small show of power, that he isn't bound to any Roblox filters. It's kinda dumb, but hey, 07 is in his what. late teens - early 20s? He's allowed to be childish still. (On the flipside, current 07 doesn't swear at all, and doesn't even like using substitutes for swearing. He figured he should stop after CK copied him swearing.)

07 didn't immediately stop hacking / exploiting when he got CK. I think it took him a few years to actually stop. Part of the reason he didn't stop was, well, he'd already been doing it for years. There's really no point in suddenly stopping, kid or not. Then I think it grew to a desperation thing. A time before he stopped and started to leave that. When he thought it was the only way to help himself and baby CK, since he didn't know how to do much else.

Back when Kidd was really young, I think 7n7 used to read a Lot of parenting books. Some he obtained normally, some he stole, some he just. seemed to be in possession of. He read enough to the point that he could quote the basic ideas each shared. Hell, there was a point he could probably write his own book, or argue with people about it. (He had a lot to say about some the books, since they seemed like pure bullshit to him. Never did.) In that same vein, he went to a few different parenting classes! They. went. They weren't bad, but they definitely weren't the best.

Since he was a hacker, 07 knew the most random people that you'd never expect him to know. Most of the time it was one off conversations, or knowing a guy that knows a guy. People knew his name, he knew theirs kinda ordeal. (Current 7n7 mentions that he knows people off handly because of this. Mostly whenever another exploiter or hacker is referenced, or if a specific hack / exploit is referenced. Though he's also aware of random users that the others talk about. He just knows about a ton of people.)

There was a time 7n7 only spoke in coding phrases and leetspeak. He thought it was funny and cool, and then became a habit. He mostly kicked it as he got older, but still does it periodically in a cabin. (Sometimes it's bad enough, that only the admins can get what he's referencing, and even then, it can be iffy.) c00lkidd picked this up from him.

And another 7n7 hc that isn't quite past 7:

7n7 would definitely have been the house that every kid wanted to spend time at when CK made it into middle / high. The one that people stayed at when they had no other place. Which 7 was happy for, that he could be safe! But it is kinda hard when you're a single dad who's already struggling to care for himself and Kidd.

(Anyway, thanks for reading my yapping. I'm just so abnormal about 007n7 and hope everyday for lore about past him. Either with baby CK or pre c00l time.)

Building off that headcanon, though, I think Yanqing would get so frustrated not being able to find a game calibrated to his own very specific interests and tastes that he went off and learned coding for the sole purpose of making his own. Because his game is so specific though, no one else plays it but him. All except for one user who is hellbent on beating both him and his hardest levels.

I’ve mentioned a few times that the Detective Club doesn’t seem to have any named members outside Logico and the Murdle Jr. kids (Irratino, I HC as an associate instead of a full member, and I sincerely doubt they’d let any of the suspects save maybe Obsidian in :P). Journalist Jade

5’5, Right-Handed, Brown Eyes, Black Hair, Aquarius

Jade is a 30-year old investigative journalist, taking to the streets to look for headliners and expose crimes for all the world to see. She’s passionate and can be a bit reckless in her pursuit of a big story, but she’s overall a nice person. She’s also the one who originally invited Logico to the Detective Club (in my mental list of Stories I Want To Write Someday, one of them is how Logico became part of the Detective Club—TL;DR, he wound up working with Jade to expose some criminals and she gave him the invite shortly thereafter), and might have had a bit of a crush on him—he’s fairly handsome despite his overall scruffiness, and they worked well together—but obviously, that went nowhere on account of Logico being both not into women and also a major-league jerk pre-Volume 1 :P

Overall, I’d say Jade’s drawing turned out the best; the design was nice, and translated into my artstyle rather well. I accidentally drew her hair a lot shorter than I’d originally intended, and I completely forgot the camera until I was already outlining and had to hastily add it in, but I’d say it all worked out in the end. Her style suits her ^^

Forensic Analyst Bella

5’3, Left-Handed, Brown Eyes, Red Hair, Gemini

Bella is 26, yet in many ways, she acts like a high school popular girl; chatty, fashionable, gossipy, phone-obsessed, and just a bit mean. One would think someone like that would have no place in the Detective Club, but Bella graduated valedictorian of her college and is a known forensics expert. She can tell you when someone died and what poison was used to kill them as easily as she can tell you whether or not your shoes are “in” this summer.

Bella was actually the first Detective Club OC I designed; the forensics part came later, to give her more an identity beyond “Detective Club member”. I like her sunglasses, and her being the only one who carries a walkie-talkie in addition to a phone; ya gotta be prepared when solving crimes. (Oh, and in case you’re thinking I broke the color name rule…I didn’t. Yeah, maybe using a color named by a paint company is cheating, but oh well. I was originally going to use magenta, but then I figured I should probably pick a color less likely to be given to a canon character ^^;)

IT Guy Auburn

5’8, Right-Handed, Brown Eyes, Red Hair, Virgo

Auburn used to work for TekCo, before leaving the company following an “incident” he doesn’t talk about; at 29, he’s just a year younger than its current CEO. While introverted and socially awkward at the best of times, he’s a whiz with computers; if the mystery leaves some digital footprints behind, you go to him. (That his skills are upstaged by a detective in the junior group—the daughter of that aforementioned CEO, no less—is something Auburn awkwardly avoids acknowledging.)

Okay, so I found quite a few color codes for “auburn”; I wound up picking the most common two and using them for his headphones and jacket respectively, which is probably the best compromise I could’ve made ^^; I think I got the “tech guy” look down pretty well, even if he does look a bit more like a gamer than anything else. (I’m sure Olivia would beat him in that regard too :P)

Socialite Vanille

5’0, Right-Handed, Blue Eyes, Blonde Hair, Pisces

At 23, Vanille is one of the Detective Club’s younger members, and also one of its few wealthy members. She comes from high society, and looks and acts the part. Some look down on her as just a rich kid with no actual skills. Vanille simply smiles, because social skills—telling people what they want to hear, getting them to trust you, figuring out who you can and can’t trust yourself—get you very far in an investigation. (Someone should let Logico know that :P)

Vanille’s design admittedly didn’t translate as well as everyone else’s did, mostly because I didn’t actually realize the color of her hair and jacket were so close. And also because after three drawings of decent hands, I got cocky and thought I could do a complicated pose with her hat. Don’t be like me, kids :V I do still like her, though. She’s the first character I’ve ever drawn in a skirt or dress XD And yes, as her name implies, she is French. You can get a surprising amount of OCs through translating colors into foreign languages (looks at Logico’s maternal relatives).

Codebreaker Clover

5’6, Left-Handed, Gray Eyes, Blonde Hair, Scorpio

Clover is 31 (though you’d be forgiven for thinking he was younger), brilliant with cryptography, and kind of a wreck. No one really knows what made him so twitchy and paranoid, or where he learned his codebreaking skills, though some believe the two things are connected. Clover himself thinks everything is connected; everything has a purpose, everything is part of some plan, and everyone is somehow involved. His conspiracy theories are legendary throughout the club, and most of them are known to be complete nonsense. (The rest…well, maybe it’s best not to dig too deep.)

Like Bella, Clover originally had another name—Cyan—before, again, I changed it to one less likely to be used in canon. He also had a couple different titles—first Conspiracist when I wanted to emphasize the “wild paranoiac conspiracy theorist” thing, then Cryptographer when I settled on what he actually did, then Codebreaker because Cryptographer was too similar to Cloud’s title :P He also has the most complicated pair of glasses I’ve ever drawn. I think they came out nicely ^^

Parapsychologist Pitch

5’5, Left-Handed, Green Eyes, Black Hair, Sagittarius

Nobody’s quite sure what Pitch does. Or, frankly, what they’re doing here. 27 years old, they have a love for the macabre and a fascination with the paranormal, and every case they take is some flavor of spooky. One would think they’d fit in better with the Investigation Institute, but they just say they like hands-on experience more than sitting in a chateau doing experiments. They’re fairly chill outside that, if enigmatic at the best of times; they might be playing up their strange behavior to spook people, though. You can never really tell with Pitch.

Pitch originated as an Investigation Institute OC, before I decided I liked the Institute’s actual characters better and repurposed them for the Detective Club :P I do really like their design, though. I love their dyed hair and eyeliner (yes, the points on their eyes are meant to represent eyeliner) and goth outfit. Fun fact: The words on their shirt, if you can’t read it, are “Cinematic Anarchy”. Yes, it is a band shirt. Yes, I came up with that name myself. And yes, it is very edgy :P

Anyway, that’s my characters, they aren’t Logico’s friend group because Logico barely has any friends but they do fill empty space where the rest of the Detective Club is, so. There’s that :P

1. CANNOT SIT ON A CHAIR PROPERLY

2. Can in theory breathe fire but doesn’t bc it gives him a really bad sore throat.

3. Still reading TOA- I just found out that Leo’s full name is “Leonidas” (either that or it’s a nickname Calypso gave him, but the fandom seem to agree that it’s his real name) but he HATES it when Calypso calls him that, so my hc is ANNABETH is the ONLY one with “Leonidas” privileges. And that’s bc he’s so fucking terrified of her he doesn’t DARE appose her on it. I feel like she does use it respectfully though.

Hazel is also allowed to use it sparingly.

4. Oh yeah fuck canon Leo and Annabeth are besties and they bond over both being runaways and also engineering/architecture stuff. Leo’s DEFINITELY had a peek around Daedalus’ laptop- his design for an automaton that can house a human soul got him thinking about his mom. He always planned on maybe taking a closer look at those files but then the laptop got lost in Tartar Sauce. I know you said no angst. Whoops.

5. Leo and Hazel start a support group for demigods who have come back from the dead. Every Wednesday in New Rome. Biscuits and Orange Juice will be provided. They call themselves the “YOLTers” (You Only Live Twice- because YOLO is for the weak). Thalia is also a frequent attendee.

6. I hc him as hard of hearing after the explosion in Blood of Olympus. Specifically deaf in his right ear and chronic tinnitus in his left. He uses hearing aids sometimes and also uses ASL and Morse Code to communicate. I choose to view that as wholesome bc we need more disability representation.

7. He is a “Leonidas” ONLY at Starbucks. He then follows it up with a bunch of equally hard-to-pronounce middle names (which he completely made up) said in a rapid-fire Spanish accent and watches the Barista panic as her white ass tries to spell it all. It’s even funnier when she tries to say it back to him when giving him his order. He takes the cup (leaves a generous tip) and says “but usually I just go by Leo” and walks away.

That is pretty much my entire understanding of American culture right there-

8. Trains autistic. He loves them. In the one I’m currently reading- The Dark Prophecy- Calypso and Apollo go on a train without Leo and I’m just imagining them getting back and him being “But what kind of train was it? Standard gauge or narrow gauge? Man, I love narrow gauge trains. Did you know that there’s this place in Wales called the Ffestiniog railway, where they have this special type of locomotive where the engine- the sicky-outy bit- is like, either side of the locomotive, so that there’s no need for a turntable-“

Okay I might also love narrow gauge trains (I’ve been on the Ffestiniog railway, it is amazing) (Also that is not a typo, in Welsh I believe the double f makes a soft sound (like in “off”) and a single f makes a hard sound, more like a v (like in “of”) you learn a new thing every day!)

9. Ambidextrous but Left-hand dominant (Often has to specify to his tool belt that he needs left-handed tools)

10. When speaking will put weird pauses in the middle of a sentence and not stop between sentences like talkingreallyfastwhenhe’sreally exited and talking slowly when he’s tiredit’skindaweird and choppy like hisbrainisgoing a million times faster than hismouth.

11. His favourite Disney film is Frozen.

12. When he’s comfortable around you, you start to hear more of his hispanic accent.

13. Said it before, will say it again. Headcannon no. 13 is ALWAYS WITHOUT FAIL “They’re a Swiftie.”

He has to listen to music as a way of not being alone with his thoughts. I discovered Taylor at a young age, and she has remained one of the few consistencies in my life since then. She got me through some tough times (Not as bad as Leo, but she helped me survive 2020). I feel like Leo would be the same- not always knowing where he’ll be sleeping that night or if food will be on the table, he’d want comfort, stability. Taylor would be there.

14. He wakes Frank up at 3am with “Hey I can’t read that what does that say?” “…Leo you wrote this. You’re telling me you can’t read your own writing?” Little does Leo know that Percy came in with exactly the same request half an hour before. Frank is finding being the only non-dyslexic on the ship incredibly frustrating.

15. Has the philosophy “anything is a fidget toy if you fidget with it” and STICKS to it

16. If Piper sees an item of clothing with an ungodsly amount of pockets, she is contractually obligated to buy it for him.

17. Eats cheese straight off the block. Like doesn’t even bother cutting it, he just *noms* straight into the block of cheese like it’s a chocolate bar. Similarly also eats Nutella straight outta the jar, sometimes without even using a spoon (and y’all know he doesn’t wash his hands).

18. Slightly more immune to electric shocks than normal bc of his way with machines (Valgrace nation do with that what you will)- similar to how Percy, as seen in botl, is a little bit fireproof.

19. You can’t tell me that during his first quest with Jason and Piper, they didn’t at least once triple-spoon with Leo in the middle bc he’s warmest.

20. In fact, “Cuddle Leo” is a common pastime for Jasiper. Particularly when it’s cold.

I saw a lot of people hc that Leo makes Percabeth’s wedding rings but that is factually incorrect. TYSON makes the ring. LEO makes Annabeth’s dress. I just started this fic where Annabeth, Piper, Leo, Reyna, and Rachel all go wedding dress shopping for Leo to get ideas, but he makes absolutely the most BEAUTIFUL gown for her- much better than any store. It puts all other wedding dresses to shame.

22. He can also knit, crochet (This hc was supplied by my mum who I’ve forced to read Heroes of Olympus), weave, and do macramé. He’s gone down rabbit holes about old-fashioned lacemaking. Him and Annabeth have sewing/crafting competitions at camp and on the Argo.

24. He watches Stand-Up Comedy specials with Jason. I feel like if he wasn’t a mechanic he’d be a comedian (or run a taco truck, like Jason suggested in TLH). He takes his friends to as many comedy shows as he can. He loves them.

25. A Valgrace hc but it relates- while I was thinking up ways for Leo/Jason to propose (just a regular day in my brain), I had an idea for Leo to take Jason to one of those comedy shows that does crowd-work, and sits in the front row to get their attention. When the comedian asks who they are, Leo introduces Jason as his fiancé. When Jason goes, “Wait, no I’m not!” Leo yells “WELL WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE?” And gets down on one knee.

Also, sorry it’s taken me so long to respond. I’ve had this saved to my drafts and I’ve been slowly adding to it every time I get a new headcanon.

Which basically translates to trying to be strict but in the end being completely wrapped around his little one's finger and therefore simply compromising with them

Sweets? Sure, if you ate something nutritional before

Staying awake for a bit longer? Depends why you want to stay up longer, for example a movie starting before bedtime but then going a bit longer than bedtime

Definitely redoes things if they make his little one laugh

Unless it's something dumb like bumping into a wall

If it's a sound he made and he can recreate it and it's just the two of them, sure, he'll do it again

Always makes them hold his hand when they're out and about in the city

Probably buys them a toy if they want it, but really sticks to just one toy

Maybe he didn't see the second one in the cart? (He did, he's just playing along since it doesn't cost that much)

He'd probably talk to them how he usually would, just that his voice is a tad bit softer and he uses more pet-names

Without autonomy its h̴i̶s̴ entire life, Zetta, under the name Code: Auto, has been consumed by desperation to even just die on its t̵h̵e̶i̵r̶ own terms. It ̷T̶h̴e̵y̷ ̵don't seem to care much for its t̵h̵e̶i̵r̶ own well-being, with nothing to lose. Its H̷i̵s̸ ̶Reuniclus-like body is incredibly acidic, irregularly corrupted by Rift Matter, and melting its t̵h̵e̶i̵r̶ old human body into bloody cytoplasm and bone-mesh.

The pure desperation has caused Zetta to open a Dimensional Rift in itself t̸h̴e̷i̷r̴s̵e̴l̸f̵, corrupting it h̸i̴m̴. The Dimensional Rift that transformed Zetta seems to have been an irregular one, not affecting it t̸h̶e̵m̸ as it usually would another. Whether this is because of their state as a human-Pokemon, or due to the fact they are a creator of Rift Matter itself t̵h̶e̶m̷s̵e̴l̶f̸ ̴is unknown. They do have some defense, but the idea is that they hit hard and fast, before you can really hit back. 2nd Phase gets some more defense though.

So. He does still end up dead. He is ghost, but a much more corporeal and consistent ghost, sort like how Gengar is. Depending on his mood he can appear on a sliding scale like normal Zetta or Rift Zetta. The middle point would him having Reuniclus arms and an arm or two floating behind him, but not completely melted/cytoplasm. They spend sometime in the/a lab (and has maaaaany panic attacks about it. being born and then immediately tested-abused on does that) healing/getting stabilized. Tbh i see him hanging around Geara if he's with Xen(? Maybe. Dunno if he's for or against Xen in this) cause Goldenleaf + Semi-Ghost specialty. and a bit of valorshipping :) And he gets ghost/psychic powers. definitely. absolutely. as a treat. he deserves it.

So, it's a little bit complicated, and I don't want to give too much away since it relates to what I'm currently working on, BUT!

I GOT YOU, FAM!

Basically: after Diomedes gets kicked out of Argos (it's very sad, the poor man), he realizes he has nowhere else to go except literally anywhere but the Eastern Mediterranean. So, he sets off for Hesperia (aka modern Italy) to start a new life there. But in this time of heartbreak, he's missing Odysseus even more (they had a sad goodbye on Crete; it's a long story), and he decides to stop at Ithaca on the way to get some supplies and maybe visit Ody. But when he gets there, he finds that Ody is MIA and Penelope is running things. So he hangs out for a while and gets to know Pen and Telemachus (who is about 11 or 12 by this point), and quickly figures out why Ody would talk about her literally any chance he got. She's beautiful, yes, but she's also just as cunning and wise as Odysseus is... The same qualities Dio fell in love with. And Pen is curious about Dio, too. She's heard many stories and news about her husband's schemes with Dio, and she starts falling for him a bit, too. But Diomedes doesn't want to dishonor the Bro Code by getting with Penelope. Ody loves Penelope! Dio could never hurt Ody like that. So... He leaves. He says goodbye to Pen and Telemachus and heads off to Hesperia. He and Penelope wonder what could have been since they believe they will never see each other again.

BUT THEN ODY RETURNS TO ITHACA!!! YIPPEE!!! Diomedes hears this news, but he has his new city to run, so he doesn't return immediately. After a few years, though, he gets usurped and kicked out again, so he's like, "Welp. I have nowhere else to go," and he goes back to Ithaca. He and Ody reunite and there's hugs all around and it's really sweet. Dio soon finds that OdyPen had another kid, a daughter (I haven't figured out a name for her yet, but she's two when Dio shows up). This part of the story is very loose, but I do know they all put two and two together about all their feelings eventually (Odysseus is very happy about this as you can imagine lmao!) It's little slice of life stuff from there. A little hc I have about the three of them is that Dio teaches OdyPen's daughter how to box because she's a little firecracker and needs to get rid of excess energy somehow, but she can't stay still long enough to weave (plus she's really little and doesn't have the fine motor skills for that yet). Dio and Ody also work together to hone Telemachus's and Diodotus's skills (who Diodotus is... you'll know soon enough lmao). I also hc that Pen frequently tricks OdyDio into wrestling each other so she can watch for her own entertainment. She's just sitting to the side, eating her bowl of table grapes, enjoying the show okasdfhsdugif- I also hc that... Once OdyPen passes on, Diomedes leaves again. The kids don't want him to go, but he can't stay. He wants to honor Ody's wish for Tele to be king. If he stays, people will think he wants to take over. He doesn't want a war among Ody's people so... he leaves. He establishes one last city in Hesperia and feels his life coming to a close. He climbs a nearby cliff by the sea to enjoy the view, looking east. Then Athena shows up, and he accepts immortality. Sorry... Got sort of sad toward the end there, but that's a few things! I have a lot of thoughts, but I'm very scattered rn. If you have more specific questions, feel free to ask! I don't bite, I promise! :D

shadowstar currently has the most children out of all of the cats in this au, having a total of SEVEN biological kits and one step-son. he has two baby mommas, sugarstar and silentstar. his kits are swanfeather, cottontail, pruneseed, crowberry, ravenfur, spiderfoot, and blackthorn. (in order, those are sugar swan, cotton candy, prune juice, crowberry, witchberry, truffle, and black sapphire)

windrunner (wind archer) is actually his grandson! he's the son of swanfeather. by extension, since windrunner and herbpelt are mates, he is technically purestars in-law, which makes him wanting to drive purestar insane all the more ironic

shadowstar and elderstar were once very close friends, but elderstar started to see visions of who shadowstar would become and severed their friendship, which indirectly accelerated shadowstar's descent into madness. shadowstar was also the one to take elderstar's first life!

shadowstar's old concept design had him as an all-black tom with white spots. this design was scrapped while i was developing the AU in favor of his current design

Bear with me in this one, Jimmy is probably the best of the worst (hc)NPD representations if you get what I mean. As someone who has struggled with toxic impulsions in the past wishing to do damage, his writing was a big realization and reason to try and do better, just how the writer intended it to be. He sadly portrays stereotypes in that case however pwNPD can still relate to those stereotypes and thats alright. Many of his actions basically scream a desire of approval, the need to be captain and have his crew congratulate him, being useful or do anything to convince himself he's not the problem but everyone else is. In reality he can't even acknowledge his current position and the luck to be there, always wanting something better as he fails to realize that good things come with consequences. Accompanied by his paranoia, he finds his past a weakness when pointed out and considers certain interactions as attacks against him, lashing out in response. Lastly, Curly is definitely his equal person that he envies but at the same time feels is the only one worth his time and only person that could understand him.

Note: I dont expect him to win nor do I excuse him obviously, however I hope the above gives some consideration in the voting since there's so much to talk about in his personality.

For example, when one of her coworkers expresses doubt or remorse, she doesn't hesitate to attempt to eliminate him. She also gets a kick out of power and control, opting to monologue dramatically instead of just going in for the kill on one of her targets (which screws her over but we don't talk about it). finished my updated Solange ref!!

i have a lot of lore abt her but some general info

does not like most of the bishops ( leshy is kind of the exception ) and HATES Nari. I'm toying with the idea that Solange ends up kicking the Bishops & Nari out of her flock for her mental health ( she only kept them around bc she'd feel bad but it gets to a point where its either keep them around and have her mental health/sanity suffer even more or kick them out so she can heal )

polyam ( in my current save i married Aym, a follower named Lavender and Jalala ( not sure if the Jalala relationship will be canon though ).

Solange and Lavender ended up splitting sometime postgame on semi good terms because Solange felt heavily uncomfortable pursuing a relationship with Lavender due to her newfound god status ( and the cult leader aspect )

Solange really only accepted Lavender asking her out/the proposal in the first place is because the last time she rejected someone ( the farmer she lived with prior to her execution ) he ended up selling her out to be executed. Solange also was under the assumption Nari would make her mortal after she killed the Bishops so she was planning on convincing Lavender and her sister to leave the lands of Old Faith so maybe Solange would feel less gross about the relationship. Unfortunately that didn't pan out so Solange decided to break it off

loves and cares for her flock but didn’t really want to be a cult leader in the first place. If not for the fact she would have been killed Solange would have given Nari the crown so she could leave the lands of the old faith and try to find a place to call home.

Postgame she tries to make the cult less cultish and encourages her followers to have some free will and be self sufficient w/o her ( which does sorta work to her credit ) but deep down Solange knows it doesn't really matter as a cult is a cult no matter how hard she tries to make it not so.

on a small side note i hc she isnt the last sheep ever but definitely the last sheep in the lands of old faith and the areas close to it. Sheep are still very rare however ( especially what would be considered " purebred " sheep )

jameson - jameson has been dirty minded since BIRTH. he was your average dirty minded middle school boy, okay? he was trying not to giggle the whole time. tobias wasn’t one for emotions and wouldn’t explicitly say things. he would use code names and metaphors for certain parts, which made jameson laugh out loud once or twice.

grayson - bro already knew everything. you can’t convince me otherwise. I feel like nash gave grayson the talk when gray was around ten, then tobias gave him the talk at thirteen. grayson would be yawning and stuff, literally bored out of his mind. he might take a few notes, but otherwise, he knew it all.

xander - he was definitely a very innocent child, despite his current flirtatious attitude. he knew nothing about love or any of that until that talk. he was definitely traumatized by it. probably had nightmares abt it afterwards. he say “ew! that’s so weird, why would you tell me that?” he’s very vanilla yall.

nash - surprisingly (well, not entirely surprisingly) mature. he had to take care of himself and his brothers from a young age and already knew the darkness of the world. when he turned thirteen and was given the talk, he was mature and asked geniune questions. this naturally gave tobias high expectations while telling the other boys, who as you can see, did not react the same…

It’s also funny because I think this accurately reflects how kids react to the talk based on their rank in the family - oldest child, middle child, youngest child. what do yall think?
