also a question! whats your writing process like? there's so many flashbacks and jumping around (which works SO WELL, i havent read an author that does it like you and thats a damn shame bc its just so seamless and gives so much insight to the characters and the dynamics and gives the pacing a lot of interest, like it gives the main storyline time to breathe without forcing it to jump from Big Thing to Big Thing since we get little snippets of past Things UGH so smart)

im so curious how you plan it out and execute it!!! do you come up with the little events you'd like to cover when doing the full outline, write em out and slip em in where they fit best in the 'main' timeline? do you come up with the timeline, then write a note for yourself like "put flashback here about xyz" in where you want to emphasize the background/buildup of whats happening in the main timeline, then write the flashback after the main timeline part of the chapter is done? i cant imagine writing the chapters straight through like they are and keeping it all straight in my head, theres gotta be a method haha

About my writing process: Dead Disco has two outlines. Current timeline and past timeline. It's outlined by 'events' more than anything else, and I use that to steer me when I'm working on it. I write current timeline first, and then past timeline second, usually because I'm trying to figure out where to put the flashbacks in so they make the most sense. So a chapter will have two major events on the current timeline that are outlined to correspond with something specific in the past timeline, if that makes sense.

Sometimes it gets a little complicated and/or confusing, but I try to smooth it out for the reader if I feel like I'm not telling a cohesive story. I really enjoy writing this way, with flashbacks, and would love to adapt it to something like a book, but who knows. Basically everything I write looks like this in my head:

Yeah, I can't say I have many complex things to say on the topic, except that that dialogue has been in this fandom forever (all fandoms forever; tumblr, the birthplace of the 'not-like-other-girls-girl') but it's especially bad in rpf and I'm exhausted of reading the same tired iterations on "well, I could NEVER understand how another woman could live like that--" STOP. Just stop it, it's not your life, and it's likely never going to be your life, for all the aforementioned unfair reasons. You don't have to compare yourselves to them constantly. It doesn't make you lesser or them better for being (presumably) born into a more privileged circumstance and it doesn't make them lesser and you better for achieving some enlightened pearl of knowledge.

The puck bunny blogs irk me just as much, and if you find one better than the other I guess it's more a question of what rolls your stomach more: spite or smugness. But in my opinion, calling Kathy an ageing escort that Sid pitty dates is just as nauseating as talking down your nose about her like she's some ignorant waif that cant make her own decisions about her life or her relationship.

Yes, the NHL is an intrinsically racist, misogynistic, homophobic, capitalist, fatphobic--and all the other bad terrible things--nightmare creature whose ailment runs all the way up to the giant sucking malignancy attached to its heart that is Garry Bettman and Bill Dayley, and further, to the executives that they shill for, and even further back to the time period, tenets, and culture that the sport was founded on. Remember, this is the same organization whose administrative and players (retired and current) repeatedly spit in the face of their teammates who've suffered chronic and debilitating injuries, and continue to mock journalists and veterans who try to bring those issues to the forefront, stating that the injury is worth it to win -- (or that the possibility of injury is worth it, considering these comments so often come from players that are still relatively hale).

Hmmm, sounds incredibly familiar to the position the NHL takes on another rampant issue in the sport: sexual assault.

There's a reason why the NHL is falling behind in popularity (and in value) compared to other sports organisations and it's because they cling to their archaic values and methods and flat-out refuse to let them go -- and thus attract players and administrative and fans who find all that entails appealing. It's not everyone in the sport obviously but it's a large enough faction to keep things stagnant -- just go take a look at Ian Kenedy's twitter page and start scrolling through the replies to his tweets if you want a taste of what we're up against here.

If you want to do anything, ANYTHING AT ALL to help improve the hockey culture, there are multiple avenues to explore that might actually make a difference --first of all getting involved in your community not just the internet community-- in chipping away at who this game attracts, how they see themselves, how they see others, how they see hockey players, and how those hockey players see themselves and others. Those avenues do not include dunking on wags. I get it, they all look the same, haha. it's weird, their children and husbands can't tell them apart, hahaha. There, I said it too and now I never have to hear that fucking joke again. Move ON.

I understand that the lines between reality and fiction can blur easily when it comes to rpf, but making actually, completely serious judgements on other people's private emotional lives and relationships is completely out of the realm of reality. You can't know, you can never know completely. It can be difficult enough to identify these things when it comes to a friend or a family member how are you possibly going to make a pronouncement that someone's relationship is stale or without intimacy or connection when literally have no idea who they really are? I've been stalked and I've had people write fanfiction about me and I can 100% say that what they gleamed of who I was and what my life was like from the outside did not run true.

Analyzing those aspects and their intersexuality is worthwhile -- if anyone has an actual interest in these topics I suggest reading: Wille O'ree's biography, Bern Saunder's biography, Fred Sasakamoose's Call Me Indian, Black Ice: The Lost History of the Colored Hockey League of the Maritimes by Darril and George Frosy, On Account of Darkness by Ian Kennedy, Why I didn't say anything by Sheldon Kennedy, Crossing The Line by Laura Robinson, Major Misconduct by Jeremy Allingham, Finding Murph by Rick Westhead -- There are more than that if you're willing to dig for them ... but especially after the back to back Kyle Beach and Hockey Cannada lawsuits I've just had it to up to here with the takes about the ~uwu poor hockey men~~ and their repressed homosexual longings and lack of overall male intimacy and companionship --- who do you think is doing said repressing?? THE HORRIBLE UWU MEN. (Said in exaggeration and jest but also not fucking really.) They are victims unto themselves. 99% refuse to speak up or do anything about the inequality, harassment, and overall intrinsic issues in the sport, the ones who bravely do are shunned by the others who refuse to help themselves or others. They don't see themselves as emotionally underdeveloped manchildren stranded on the frigid island of masculine solitude and arrested development. They like their lives, they don't care about what kind of impact that lifestyle has on other people (or on the environment or on the economy). They like their cookie-cutter world, conservative sandbox and comfortable wealthy liberalism... and most of all they like their hot blond skinny wives and they don't care what sort of social constructs have led to them pursuing a very specific type of woman. The vast majority of them have zero interest in having their eyes opened to a more complex and diverse worldview and it's not the fault of anyone but themselves, least of all the women who get pulled along in their wake.

if you find yourself bored with what you're writing, your audience will likely also be bored reading it. write the interesting bits, cut the un-interesting bits, and everything in between should move through from interesting scene to interesting scene as quickly as possible.

Man I am so happy. Normally I journal when im sad or feeling some type of way, going through bad things and I need something to process and I need to write it out, I have a whole booklet of the 2 years after my breakup in 2019 and I read it to see how far ive come out of it, but genuinely 2023 has been the best fucking year of my life.

I feel like i got my girlhood back? I have no way of explaining it except for that 

I found this gym class at the end of January 2023, and then went once a week jan-sept and now sept-october i’ve been going twice a week and i LOVE the people, i love the trainers and gets me out of the house

The only bad part of this year is my job, but at the end of the day we all need money

I went to TWO TAYLOR SWIFT CONCERTS, I started the year thinking i was going to ZERO. LITERALLY ZERO. my friends WHO I NEVER MET in atlanta asked me to go in april 2023 so i said hell yes immediately, i screamed, told my bestfriends and went and had the absolutely most incredible time in the nosebleeds. The entire concert was so so so amazing

Then I went too pittsburg in June 2023, which was so crazy

This girl, who i was friends with when we were 14-18, and she lived in maryland, and i lived in canada, reconnected with me. We did not talk 18-28, we stopped being friends because of A BOY, and just we both were going through so much and needed to grow up and become better people. SHE REACHED OUT TO ME AFTER 10 YEARS. Told me how she missed me, and missed how we went to FEARLESS in 2010 and she wanted to go to eras with me after 13 years and I SAID YES, obviously for taylor but for a friend I had missed so much

So i went and i reconnected with hannah and when i tell you that concert changed my life. It absolutely did, I think about it everyday. I relived my entire childhood that night with hannah and taylor. Every big moment in my life, I can connect a taylor swift song too, I know what i was listening too and when I listen now, it just brings me back but also creates new memories and better ones. 

I didnt even realize how unhappy I was, or how in the trenches I was, during heartbreak and no money, and I sit here typing this like wow i love my life, I love my friends and I love every moment that brought me to this place.

I have so so much else to talk about 2023 and how I’m so excited for 2024, and yes this will end up in tumblr I’ve decided (originally this was written in google docs hahaha) Anyways

If youre reading this, anyone, I’m 28, I spent most of my life being bullied, or without girl friends. I was jealous of others, and never thought Id be here. okay so im rly feelin Affinity lately so im gonna talk about that! its gonna be a lot so like ill put it under a readmore. if ur interested in my story then go ahead and read! :D

as i said in the last ask, Affinity is my magical girl fantasy story about healing from lifes hardships basically. but it does have a plot!! so basically here are your main girls, Sinie and Csilla

Sinie and Csilla are quite literally soul sisters, they are two fragments of one soul that was split into two halves. the being they were split from is a goddess, so they have divine blood. they each wear a crystal fragment around their neck as a necklace, cause thats kinda how they harness their power is through the crystals. but the crystals arent the thing that gives them their power, they always have had it. 

the crystal is actually significant because it was created by the goddess that Sinie and Csilla are reincarnated from, and its poured full of her essence. this crystal was actually a gift to her lover, Ceres, goddess of the moon, death, and harmony. i should mention the goddess that Sinie and Csilla are split from is Atheria:

these are the earliest sketches of these two. Ceres is Atheria’s lover. she is currently doing at the start of the story and this is what the characters are fighting over so this isnt a spoiler, but she is trying so resurrect Atheria so they an be together once more. i cant give the reason why this is so important to her because thats MAJOR spoilers that im not willing to give. i mean aside from the fact that they were lovers and Ceres just isnt good at accepting loss lololol

speaking of our heroes tho, lets get into them!! so we have sinie and csilla of course, but what about the others? 🤔 ill show you!

first we have Daren! he is Sinie’s childhood friend, and our local he/they royalty. now, Daren is just a human, he isnt born with magical or divine powers like Sinie and Csilla are. however, a little later on in the story he is blessed by a deity, which i will get into in a bit. im thinking i want either Yris or Helania to bless him, but im not that far in my thought process for that part of the story yet i should probably figure that out lol 

next is Elise! this is also a good friend of Sinie’s, they met in middle school! Elise is a huge weeb and she loves shoujo manga and fashion. she also has no magical or divine ability at the start, but like Daren she’s blessed by either Yris or Helania with powers. also i designated her as my libra character and i think its a perfect choice

next is Heather! Heather joined the trio in 9th grade and she began to crush hard on Elise. Elise secretly liked her back, but was super oblivious to Heather’s feelings hahaha Daren and Sinie thought this was so cute until their obvious flirting and banter got too much. Daren wanted it to end while Sinie shipped them hard. so they got them together and so they are girlfriends!

she wasnt born with magic just like the other two, but is blessed. 

and finally we have Urania! i actually dont have her character sheet done despite her being a main character lmao but Urania is an amalgam of multiple souls, memories, and earth. she is a man made being. she was originally created by Ceres, for reasons i cant explain because spoilers. but urania wasnt alone, she was accompanied by Calliope, her sister. 

i also dont have her character sheet done lmao but thats fine because there are things i want to change. i want to give her an actual mask because i want to give her a huge scar along her face. for......reasons......

Calliope is the same man made person mixed up with different souls, memories, and dirt, grass, moss, etc. and also a little bit of divine magic but thats obvious LOL so she is our first antagonist, along with Ceres. next antagonist is, drum roll please......

Agitha! Agitha met Sinie in 9th grade as well, and Agitha has a lot of....mixed emotions about Sinie. shes super in love with her, but she doesnt know how to handle her emotions and i think i want her to have a whole like....Doesnt-Know-She’s-Gay thing going on with her. her emotions confuse her and Agitha is honestly the tsundere princess archetype so....yknow LMAO

she is like Heather, Elise, and Daren in that she doesnt possess magical powers from birth, but rather from our villains Calliope and Ceres. See, Agitha is sickly. She has a weak immune system that attacks itself, (dont ask the condition im not going that far with it...right now lol) so Ceres gives her “medicine” to keep her healthy and strong as well as a bracelet with a black stone in it. this is literally just the same thing as Atheria’s crystal, the essence of Ceres poured into it. So, unlike Sinie and Csilla, Agitha gets her powers directly from this black crystal. Ceres gives her these “gifts” in exchange for Agitha to basically do her bidding. 

Here’s the kicker though, the medicine is more like a drug, it makes makes her immune system stronger, gives her more energy, gives her rushes of adrenaline and boosts her physical capabilities. however, if she doesnt take it, she will go through withdrawal and get even sicker than what she was before. poor girl :(

thats all the mains out of the way!! lastly, we have the only side characters i have at the moment which are: Sinie’s family, Csilla’s family, and the other three gods i havent talked about yet. there isnt much on these characters yet unfortunately but lets get into it!

this is Sinie’s family, this sheet is from 2017 so its a bit old lol i think i wanna age Anna up to like 13 or 14. the most important character on this sheet tho is Granny Witch! she’s Sheri’s mother, and shes wicca. i have to do more research on wicca stuff to get her character right, but Aurora (thats her name) has had a heavy influence on Sinie since Sinie was a little girl.

hi it's been a while since ive posted some hcs bc uni has been kicking my a$$! luckily i only have a few papers to tidy up and im done. here r some hcs for each obey me character that ive accumulated over the past few months wink wonk

i have a strong feeling that he showers twice a day: in the morning after waking up and at night before going to bed

his cologne is probably the type that will last in an elevator for like a week after he uses it once. i dont think this mf ever smells like anything other than his cologne

has a secret folder on his phone of semi-nudes and other scandalous pics from when he felt sexy at the time omg

aside from demon language/eng/jp he can speak french and knows latin

listens to classical stuff yea but he also listens to diavolos mixtapes (re: diavolo's section)

not a fan of sweets but will eat sweet things when craving

his cologne doesnt last as long as lucifers and probably smells common. he has to reapply a lot but it's a people pleasing smell. it's cheaper hence the constant reapplying

he probably does have an expensive bottle but is the type to totally overspray...eek

he is canonically a car guy 🥲 and probably tells the one in his room good morning & good night + kisses the hood every once in a while. has tons of car magazines

he doesnt really speak other languages but has attempted to learn spanish before

probably streams on whatever youtube or twitch devildom site equivalent there is, but only has like 40 or so followers. which he is okay with!

It's an AU where Ladybug and Chat Noir are actually enemies but then Chat Noir accidentally befriends Marinette and then drama etc etc etc.

rain - G: first zelink fic babey! set Pre-Calamity and basically link and zelda get stuck in a cave because of the rain and there's just a lot of quiet pining, etc etc.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Oikawa - T: HAHAHA this was a crack fic inspired by my roommate but then i forgot it was supposed to be a crack fic while writing it and there are accidentally real emotions alkjdfalksdf but anyway it was very fun to write lmao. it was based off this meme and basically it's an AU where Oikawa is Spider-Man and Iwaizumi doesn't know but they still like hang out and stuff. It's a lot of fun, or at least I think it is, haha.

stolen moments - T: first royai fic!!! just a series of "stolen moments" (mic drop) where roy and riza like cant be together but yknow, they try. lots of pining. etc

a secret weapon of sorts - T: 5+1 edwin fic inspired by the Simple People OVA where instead of ed giving winry earrings to get out of trouble, he gives her kisses.

Do you reply to comments, why or why not? Yes! I try really hard to!!! Sometimes I get overwhelmed and I don't respond to comments for a while, but I absolutely do my best to when I remember because I feel like it's my way of saying "thank you" for them reading my fics in the first place, haha.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind? No no no no no no no no. I am telling you, I physically cannot write smut. I don't think I actually have the capacity. Absolute fucking kudos to every single smut writer out there bc it truly is an art form capturing that intimacy and emotion and etc, but I literally get flustered from writing mildly detailed kiss scenes. If I ever wrote smut, I would burst into flames on the spot.

Actually lies, I technically wrote smut once, but it was at the request of my roommates and they wanted me to write a crack smut fic of Y/N x our uni's mascot and I wrote that thing in like 3 hours with so many silly memes to keep myself sane (not like other girls, tongues battled for dominance, etc), did not edit it, and because it was so, like, not serious, I was actually able to get through it. But even then, when I wrote "thrusting" I literally had to put my laptop down for 20 minutes.

What are your writing strengths? uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh very good question lmao. I don't really like thinking about "strengths" in my writing bc who am I to say? akjdslakfjdf idk, instead, I'm just gonna say some things I like/try to do in my writing, which are: conversational prose/having a lot of voice in the narration, I try to add humor wherever I can, and recently I've gotten better and metaphors and describing things bc I picked up writing poetry a year ago!

What are your writing weaknesses? hmmm, a thing I dislike about my writing/the writing process is that I'm slow to publish things and slow to finish things because I'm such a messy first drafter and I also take forever to edit. I would like to uhhhhh get things out faster. Also I tend to repeat myself a lot bc I forget the details of things I write sometimes lmao.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? Hmmm, I dunno, I guess I don't have any strong thoughts? The only other language I know is Mandarin but even then, I suck ass at that, so I'll prolly never write dialogue in another language simply bc I like to try to portray things semi-realistically and I don't think I have a good enough grasp on any other language the same way I do in English to produce authentic enough dialogue.

2nd Person PoV 

Eren pulled your hand along as you trailed behind him, the sound of twigs and leaves snapping under your feet.

It was currently eleven pm and you were making your way towards the training area with your best friend, Eren. You two had been close your whole lives so obviously he had come to you with his problem first, even before Armin and Mikasa.

‘So tell me Eren,’ You asked him, ‘Why exactly are we going to train anyway?’

‘I still cant balance properly with my omni-directional mobility gear. I spoke a big game and then embarrassed myself in front of everyone,’ Eren huffed, ‘I cant let that happen again!’

You knew how stubborn and driven he was so you didnt even try to tell him to calm down. In fact, seeing him so engaged with his tasks usually pushed you to try harder too so you were quite thankful for it really.

Once you reached the training area, Eren was immediately prepared to begin.

‘Okay Y/n! Can you help attach me please?’ He asked me, already begining to clip one of the straps onto the training equipment.

‘Yeah, sure!’ I nodded and helped him get all of his leather straps connected.

It took at least ten minuets to get Eren fully ready and secured into the practice.

Erens PoV

I stood in the training gear and Y/n stood at the side, holding a rope which would hoist me in the air.

‘Are you ready?’ She asked me, preparing to pull the rope.

I double checked my gear when i felt a dull ache in my bladder. Of course i had forgotten to go to the bathroom before we left the cabins.

*Damn!* I thought to myself, *Well im not gonna be able to go now. I can hold it.*

I looked over at Y/n and nodded, completely ignoring my bladder, ‘Im ready!’

She smiled at me and nodded, yanking the rope and i felt my feet lift off the ground in a jolting and sudden movement.

The gear around my waist tightened as i hung in the air, pressing down on my bladder firmly. I gasped as i felt a short spurt of urine leave me.

I was about to grab my crotch to help stop the flow but i remembered that Y/n was there and I didnt want to embarass myself infront of her so instead i just squeezed my legs together really tightly and prayed.

Luckily, i managed to stop the stream after a few seconds so only my underwear was damp and nothing was actually visible on my trousers.

Y/n raised an eyebrow at me, ‘You okay?’

I nodded, ‘Y-yeah im alright! Lets just keep going.’

I ignored my need to pee as i tried my very hardest to stay upright on the omni-directional mobility gear. Each time i would tip the wrong way, my body would immediately tense, trying my best not to wet myself.

After about half an hour had passed, i found myself becoming extremely desperate and i could barely focus on the gear anymore.

‘Y-Y/n i think i s-should get out now.’ I said, urgency evident in my voice.

She looked at me with a concerned expression, ‘Are you alright!?’

I nodded, ‘Yeah im just a b-bit tired.’

She grabbed the rope and tried to lower me down but nothing happened.

‘Hmm i think the rope is stuck Eren.’ She said and my hesrt sank.

‘W-what!? I n-need to get out!’ I said, panicking as my palms began to sweat.

She yanked on the rope more but it continued to stay stuck, ‘Are you sure youre alright?’

My face reddened, ‘I r-really need to p-pee!’

Another wave of desperation came over me and i didnt even try to hide it as i crammed my hands between my legs, gasping as i felt more urine leave me. Once again i managed to cut it off after about ten seconds. My hands felt slightly damp and i knew i had leaked through my trousers a bit.

‘P-please hurry i... I CANT HOLD MUCH LONGER!’ I yelped as my bladder twinged uncomfortably.

She nodded and ran over to me, ‘Theres no way i can get the rope to lower you but if i remove your gear you can slip out of it.’

She pulled on one of the buckles and her fingers slightly pressed against my lower abdomen, adding more pressure onto my bladder.

My legs shook at the amount of effort i was putting into keeping them pressed together. My eyes were squinted shut and my teeth were clenched together.

I was so focused on keeping myself from leaking that i didnt even realise that my bladder was slowly letting go until i heard Y/n gasp and slight pattering on the ground below me.

Y/n stepped away from me and i looked down in horror to see my trousers darkening as the wet patch grew accross my thighs and down my legs.

The relief felt almost orgasmic as i tilted my head back, moaning at the strong sensation. Tears pricked the corners of my eyes, embarassment filling my whole body.

The whole area was silent appart from the sound of piss dripping onto the floor and quiet hissing. Y/n was completely silent and i couldnt bring myself to speak, only panting slightly.

After about two minutes i was finally completely empty. The full impact of embarrassment kicked in and my face blew up in a bright red colour and i was lost for words. Right on time, the rope keeping me in the air came unstuck and i fell into the puddle i had made below me, the front of my trousers becoming even more soaked in piss.

Y/n walked up to me and gently held my arms and helped me stand up. I couldnt make eye contact with her.

‘Dont be embarrassed Eren. Its only human.’ She said softly.

‘I... Im so s-sorry.’ I said, ashame laced through my voice.

She pulled me into a hug, the piss on the front of my trousers rubbing onto her legs slightly. Somehow she remained completely unbothered by this.

‘Dont say sorry,’ She told me, pulling out of the hug.

I nodded, ‘Promise you wont tell anyone about this?’

She giggled, ‘I swear on my life.’

Hi so sorry if this is a weird question. I start college next week and I'm really nervous and overwhelmed. I graduated high school almost 5 years ago so I'm really late getting to it, I don't remember a whole lot about school life. Do you have any advice?

Not sure why youre asking a random smut writer on the internet but i would love to help if i can!

I was a huge lazy sack of shit in college ahhaha. My college years were spent either drunk or high for the vast majority of it. So my first piece of advice is to dont do that lmao. I missed out on a lot of fun, socializing, and networking because i was inebriated alone in my room. Id imagine with covid its even harder to meet new people so take every opportunity you can.

Find at least 1 person in every class that can cover for you if you miss notes or have questions about material. Youll generally make a friend too which is a nice bonus but really that safety net is nice. Dont abuse it either, like dont skip class for days then just ask for notes lmao.

On that note go to class strategically. I was able to skip a few classes every semester in their entirety bc they were easy and i got away with it but if they take attendance make sure you go. Again with covid im not sure with this stuff but actually give a fuck about the stuff youre learning. I wish i did instead of just memorizing and forgetting. I wont tell you to go to every class every time bc fuck that, but prioritize the classes you simply cant skip.

Treat studying like a job. It is so much easier to study like an hour a day than cram studying in 10 hours overnight for an exam. Im a huge hypocrite with this so do as i say not as i do lmao.

Going into it late in the game is actually kind of a good thing because you might not be tempted into the dumb bullshit like drugs and booze like i was. Just keep it to the weekend like i shouldve hahaha

If youre on a campus, go out and enjoy it. Some of my fav parts of college were just going out and enjoying the campus and what it offered. Maybe better advice for spring but... nonetheless.

I shouldve put more effort into making friends. I really came out 4 years of college with no friends to speak of because i made the conscious decision to keep to myself because i am naturally a loner and comfortable alone. Still, i think i would have overall had more fun if i got to know the really cool people in my program.

In general, take the opportunity to leave your comfort zone. It's college, no one is expecting you to be perfect. Just have some fun while you can take advantage of the safety net of college and the bad decisions youre allowed to make. As long as you keep your grades up (or passable, which i recommend making your perrogative instead of perfection) go out, get laid, try new things, meet new people, learn new things, and enjoy expanding your worldview with little consequence.

Remember that everyone lives in their little bubble. I was so afraid of embarrassing myself that i avoided doing a lot of fun things. Not a single person gives a fuck about you in a way that theyre judging you like you think they are. So just do you, be the cool older person in the class that can buy the youngins booze (do this at your own risk but it was fun for me lmao) and tell stories like a grandparent. Also, on that note, dont be surprised at how fucking stupid these kids are. You might be the oldest and wisest in the class. Just enjoy the stupidity at your beckoning call and take it in, sometimes it's better than TV. dont hold it against them though, we were all stupid 18 yos once.

Dont ask a ton of questions in class. I mean a few is fine but not a lot. It just makes class run longer. Anyone who cares is doing the following: either asking them after class, going to office hours, or emailing the professor. Do that.

Speaking of office hours. Youll probably need some reference letters when you graduate to apply for jobs. Pick like 1 cool professor a year and really buddy up to them so you can use them as a reference. Yay, using people! And hey you might get some cool stuff out of it. Talking with my professors was always pretty neat and enlightening. They will know what youre doing but they know the game too and theyre just happy youre putting effort into earning the reference. Just dont get boners for the hot ones like i did oop--

And uuhh flash cards. All my homies love flash cards. I still have all my digital ones from my classes for no reason but... they came in clutch!

I didnt work through college bc im a privileged little brat but, i think i would have had my shit together more if i did. So depending on your major find something relevant and maybe find a flexible part time gig (easier said than done im aware)

I graduated with a 3.8 gpa and a damaged liver and lungs but hey i survived! Hope this helped. Again im not the best person to ask bc i really hated my major and most of my classes but i saw them as necessary stepping stones to my current job. Oh well!

OKAY MOO, I’M CURRENTLY READING UR FIC “Home” AND I’M— THE END OF THE FIRST PART WAS SO BEAUTIFUL. “he always comes home” -> IT’S SUCH A BEAUTIFUL CONTRAST TO THE BEGINNING!!! he gets lost in his OWN fields, and that’s saying something. however, despite that, the reader still being reassured (or as much as she can reassure herself) that he always comes home = he has the red string to BRING HIMSELF BACK TO THE READER = ALWAYS COMING HOME. I’M!!!! and i love the silly banter that opened the story. aLso HIS HESISTATION OVER TELLING THE READER THE JOB HE WAS ASSIGNED... BECAUSE HE WAS WORRIED ABT THE READER.... AKDKSKKSKS. the fact he didn’t accept the offer immediately DESPITE being so in love with the sea and waited for reader’s permission is such a SMALL thing, but when you describe his love for the sea as superior, that action shows he loves the reader even more and i just- SLKDKAKDKSK. i might be over-reading and i apologise if i do bUT DO COMMENT ON IT THANK U!! 🤩💜 - ava

im just a little obsessed with the little things and gestures that make u fall in love with someone? like the specific way my friend twirls her pen while were in lectures, or how my dad has that one little smile when hes amused himself with his own joke... and for that to be a last lifeline for her to hold on to before he leaves :’))) I JUST LOVE EST RELATIONSHIP FICS OK?!

hehehe yes im sorry about that puch to the gut oops 😇 that was a scene i had super clear in my head before i started - the bright, bright string against the relative drab of the table and room.

i’m at the part where reader gets lost and let me tell u, the fact they have a WAY to communicate via string pulling alone is SO ENDEARING and just subtly hints they have been at this whole red string thing for AGES (or at least enough to form such an understanding). that’s ADORABLE and really strengthens the bonds they have together 

yessssssssssss as soon as i thought of this idea i knew it had to be an established relationship. i have it in my brain they have been married maybe 2-3 years?? i am such a sucker for unspoken understanding relationships :’)

“You push hurriedly through the crowd, ducking between market stalls and wagons. There’s no string to follow, but you don’t need it to find him today.” THIS SENTENCE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL in the context of the entire story. and what a perfect way to describe/show the reader that it’s THE DAY. MOO, you’re really serving such great kuroo x reader stories please continue AHHAHA

this entire fic was so self indulgent please dshlfkljadsb but im glad u like this line!! i tend to try visualise the scene like a movie first? and then write it, and this was also one of the first scenes that was super clear in my brain :D

i also really liked the “in-between”: of reader’s life without kuroo. u can really see how integrated they are to each other’s lifestyle, and not only that, the scene where reader handles a twin’s birth (to me) strengthens how they’re reallllly soulmates. there is a low chance that kuroo knew reader was in a desperate situation, yet he pulled on the string at the time reader needed it. it’s just—telapathy but not really + soulmate system = SOULMATES. do i make sense? and i really love the details, like how we can trace back kuroo’s scar to a moment of reader’s life in the fic. putting it at the end sort of makes me reflect on their situations that happened simultaneously yet not really. it sort of fills me in with this,,, space. that the earth is so wide. i understand deeper what reader means by “oh he’s going to be gone for so long”. it’s just. wow. the earth is so big yk.

YES YOU MAKE TOTAL SENSE!!! it's such a lovey way of looking at it :') can they communicate and understand eachother like this cuz theyre soulmates? or just because they love each other and have learnt the other inside out?? hhnn this is why i love soulmate aus, theres so much to pull apart!!!

and ok yes on the topic of how big the earth is... im so glad u mentioned this, its my favourite part because (not to get like... super sappy or anything) i was writing this through the toughest stages of our second lockdown. our restrictions got to the point we werent allowed further than 5km from out homes, so writing about freedom and big spaces and exploration of far off places was such a nice escape for me :’) this fic has ended up very close to my heart. (plus i was reading @/w-yuren’s hq0819 series at the time so i had travel and adventure on the brain hehe) 

THE ENDING.... THE ENDING.... THE WAY KUROO ASKED READER TO KI** HIM—IT’S LIKE THE KUROO IN MY HEAD YESSSSS. Gosh, this line too “when he kisses you he tastes like the sea; like salt-spray and dry rations and freedom.” may i have a director’s cut abt it :3 AND AKDJSKSK. i really love how the string appeared even tho they were together (the scene before kuroo docked on the ship) and once again, they are together, but none of them are lost because they r together-together. do i make sense? am i overreading things??? again, i have to comment on the banter. it’s simply amazing. kuroo’s replies are so,, KUROO, and they are filled with such FONDNESS I’M SO AKDKSKSK.

ALSO READER’S DYANAMICS WITH KARASUNO CHARACTERS IS ADORABLE AKDKSKSKK. the festival scene was such a breather and it was adorable to see her interact with those characters. it feels like a snapshot in her life i simply adore that :3

Summary: After entering a singing competition to get a chance to meet your lifelong crush Jensen Ackles, you and your best friend (F/N), travel to Texas where the con was taking place.

You unlocked your room's door with tears streaming down your face, unable to stop your hands from shaking. You pulled the door open and shut it behind you, falling onto your bed as you hugged your knees to your chest and started bawling. 

Was it all a lie? He never liked me, he just thought I was another notch to add to his bedpost. Then why did he seem so interested? Was it all just a sick game to him?

So many questions were swirling around your mind, every second that passed the harder you cried. Eventually crying yourself out, you fell asleep from exhaustion. 

F/N walked in, seeing your broken state, wrapped in a ball on your bed, the pillowcase wet with your tears. She felt her heart breaking at how much Jensen had hurt her. However, after almost killing him and asking him what happened, he had told her the truth and she had calmed down. She wanted to tell Y/N, but knew that Jensen himself had to do that, she couldn’t be anything more than a spectator. Jensen had tried to come to their room but F/N didn’t allow him, knowing Y/N wouldn’t listen to a word he said in her current state. 

Eventually you woke up, sniffling, you rubbed your tear stained eyes, looking around the room. It was 6am and F/N was asleep in her bed. Your flight was in four hours so you decided to start packing, starting with one of the hotel pillows, remembering your mental note to take one. You don’t know when or how, but you started crying again. Out of nowhere, you felt F/N’s arms wrap around you, bringing you into a tight embrace. You let go once again, crying it out on her shoulder. She whispered loving phrases in your ear, telling you to let it all out, that she was there for you. Wiping your tears, you thanked her and apologized for getting her shirt wet, she shrugged it off and got started packing as well. Finishing up, you guys made your way to the elevator, F/N said that she was going to catch up with you, going to go say goodbye to Jared. You went downstairs, ignoring the people looking at you, remembering you from the concert, and got into the cab. A few minutes later F/N joined you, she seemed like she wanted to say something but decided against it, staying quiet on our way to the airport.  You faintly recognized your name being yelled from outside of the cab, were they running after you? Eventually it stopped and you assumed you were just imagining it. You felt detached, like you were walking around in someone else’s body, not really knowing what you were doing but just going through the motions. You felt void of emotion, not being able to feel anything. 

The entire plane flight home, you simply stared off in front of you, your heart slowly breaking into a million pieces and you couldn’t do anything about it. F/N constantly tried to be there for you, asking if you wanted something to eat, keeping her hand on your thigh. You acknowledged her but didn’t respond, simply staring off. Thinking of all the memories you had with Jensen, the happiness you felt. All for it to be a lie. 

Arriving at the airport, you went through security and collected your luggage. After a “Are you sure you’re feeling alright” conversation with F/N you got in a cab and went home. Walking in, the smell of home hit you and a wave of tears came crashing down, the word ‘home’ reminding you of Jensen, for you had thought he was your new one. Only to be painfully reminded that he wasn’t. You threw your bag on the floor, not having the energy to unpack, and went to your room to grab your speaker. Music was everything to you, when you were sad or happy, it was always there and helped you move on. You looked through your playlist and saw one of your favorite sad songs, “Stone Cold” by Demi Lovato. It described your situation perfectly, not showing anyone how broken you truly were, how you lost someone to another woman. You put on the music, hearing it play softly through the speakers.

“Stone cold, stone cold, you see my standing but I’m dying on the floor,” you began.

“God knows I try to feel, happy for you, know that I am, even if I can’t understand.” You started tearing up once again.

“I’ll take the pain, give me the truth, me and my heart, we’ll make it through,” your voice cracked, the meaning behind the words hitting you like a sucker punch.

You continued through the song, tears falling and voice cracking, “I was your amber but now she’s your shade of gold, stone cold baby,” you sang loudly. Hoping that singing this song could somehow make you stone cold as well. 

“If happy is her, if happy is her,” you began shouting, the end of the song symbolizing the end of your love with Jensen, you hoped. 

The song ended and you were sitting there, tears streaming down your eyes, not even close to feeling stone cold. The only thing that was cold was your surroundings, but you couldn’t find it in yourself to care. You went over to your kitchen and grabbed a whiskey from the cabinet, testing to see if alcohol could make you stop feeling. 

Boy were you wrong, the alcohol only served to make you feel everything even harder. Your heart clenching in your chest at your pain, you wanted it to go away, desperately. You drank and drank, hoping that the flow of alcohol could replace the flow of sad thoughts clouding your mind. Right when you thought that you had finally hit that sweet spot, you glanced back at the bottle of whiskey. Out of nowhere, your mind flashed back to the scene of Jensen kissing that girl, the exact same bottle of whiskey sitting right in front of him. You grabbed the bottle and smashed it against the wall, not caring that there was still a bit of liquid in it. You went from sad to mad, then back to sad, not being able to properly finish feeling one or the other, you were stuck in an endless cycle. Eventually crying yourself to sleep, missing the sounds of your phone buzzing with an unknown number lighting up the screen.

Waking up you felt like shit, your heart still hurt, for Jensen was the person that you had always thought about recently, every sleeping and waking moment. Your head was pounding so you got out of bed, intending to go to the kitchen for an aspirin. What you didn’t expect was slipping on the whiskey you had thrown at the wall last night, falling and hitting your head on the metal at the foot of your bed. Knocking you out cold.

F/N POV

I knew that Y/N was lying when I had asked if she was ok and she said she was fine. It was written all over her face and her movements, what used to be confident footsteps were replaced with small and hesitant ones. Her beautiful face, once beaming with positivity, now lifeless, her eyes had lost that light that she had. I wanted to tell her the truth so bad, but I couldn’t ruin that for Jensen, I knew that he had to tell her himself. So I left, got in a cab and went home, hoping that Y/N wouldn’t do something reckless. I called Jared on my way home to let him know that we landed safely.

“Hey...” I started, hopelessness lacing my tone.

“Hey baby, are you and Y/N alright?” he asked with a soft tone. God I loved this boy.

“Yeah, I’m fine, but Y/N... Jensen needs to talk to her.”

“He tried to catch your cab but he was too late, I just talked to him and we are both flying over, we should be there tomorrow afternoon.” 

“Thank god, he needs to tell her and soon, she is taking this really hard Jared, but I’m glad that you are coming too, I already miss you.”

“I miss you too baby, also could you send me Y/N’s number? Jensen is going to try to call her in advance.”

“Yeah sure, I’ll send it over now.”

“Alright honey, I’ll see you soon.”

“Alright sweetie, goodbye.” I ended the call, instantly texting him Y/N’s number.

I eventually got home and was tempted to call Y/N, but I knew that she needed some space, so I decided that I was going to head over the next morning to see how she was doing. Going to sleep, worrying about Y/N and hoping that Jensen and Jared could get here sooner so the former could explain himself to my best friend. I knew that he loved her, and I knew that he was going to make it right.

I woke up around 8am, instantly getting ready and heading out, driving to Y/N’s house to check on her. I used my spare key to get inside and saw that the lights were off and it was eerily cold.

“Y/N? Sweetie it’s me, where are you?” I yelled, making my way over to her bedroom, maybe she was still asleep?

“Oh my god, Y/N! Y/N? Honey can you hear me?!” I yelled, seeing her on the floor with a pool of blood surrounding her head. “No no no no, Y/N don’t you dare leave me, I can’t lose you.” I choked out. My father was a doctor so I knew how to check people’s pulses, I tried checking to make sure she was still alive but my fingers were shaking and I couldn’t tell if there was a pulse or not. I ripped my phone out of my pocket and shakily typed in the number.

“Hello? I need help, my friend, she hit her head and she’s bleeding and unconscious. Please... hurry.” I said, crying and shaking after dialing 911 and giving them the address. I was getting furious at myself, my father had taught me exactly what to do in this situation, but with Y/N lying in a pool of her own blood, I couldn’t stop panicking, my hands shaking, tears from escaping my eyes, and losing my cool. Unable to remember what to do. I sat there, holding Y/N’s head on my lap while crying, screaming for help, waiting for the ambulance to arrive.

Hello! How are you? I hope you are doing well ☺ i had a question for you! I want to get into digital drawing, but I don't have a tablet, and honestly not much money either HAHA. Do you have any recommendations on what type of tablets I should be looking at? Or even some tips? I would really appreciate it! Your art is amazing

hi!! i can tell you personally what i’ve been through if that will help!  sorry, i get super into these things!!! lol so this is gonna be long, sip some water and grab a snack lol

i started digitally drawing in 2005 on ms paint with just a mouse haha.. and it wasn’t until maybe like 2009 i got a wacom bamboo fun tablet! which isn’t the kind with a display. I got it for like, $60-70CAD at the time, at one point had to replace it but it was still the same style of tablet.. and i had been drawing with it for over a decade! I was using ms paint but at some point i switched over to adobe’s flash (like an old version that i was able to get for free) and then paint tool SAI (which i got a “portable” version of... aka pirated lmao) anyways, wacom is on the pricier side but ive heard many great things about the brand huion? they’re a cheaper alternative and i believe they’re just as good! you definitely should watch some youtube videos about them though! so many of my friends (who are just casual artists, or just starting out!) just bit the bullet and got huion branded stuff and they love it so far.

however, some people have come up to me about how they can’t seem to fathom drawing without looking at their hand, so they opt for display tablets. this is where even ipads and other mobile tablets can come into play to. so i bought my display tablet, an old wacom cintiq, secondhand, just like, 2 yrs ago and i love it so much and i totally understand why people would rather skip the regular tablet “phase” and go straight into display tablets. it’s pretty much the closest thing to putting pen to paper except, digitally! but it is EXTREMELY pricey! you’re essentially buying a powered monitor lol depending on the sizes and brand, it can go anywhere between $300-2500! im going to mention huion again bc, yup!! very good alternative, more affordable brand! now if you’re thinking mobile tablets, i just recently got myself the samsung tab s6 lite, it’s a good mid-tier price and they support many other drawing programs and recently they released clip studio paint (what i use) for android and its fine so far! there’s many other mobile drawing software out there too, i suggest looking up on youtube as well as i cant seem to recall the names lol. but honestly, i only ever use it if i wanted to draw digitally on the go lol. this is very privileged of me. i know a lot of artists solely use their ipads and procreate, which i get why it’s so amazing but literally like that post i reblogged had said, it doesn’t matter what you have, it’s how you use it!!

currently i use clip studio paint as my software, but i bought it (on sale!! it goes on sale a few times a year) lol after i started making a stable income (again i feel very blessed) i also got SAI officially hahaha. i literally don’t know how to use photoshop properly :’D GIMP is a free drawing program, i think it reminds me of photoshop though so i didn’t really use it much. I actually haven’t gone around looking at any other drawing software, as i just keep advertising CSP to my friends and they also bought it.. so i would once again resort to youtube for that lol but i love CSP bc they have built in 3d models you can pose!! lol and backgrounds and other assets you can download, etc... when it’s on sale i goes down i think to 70? maybe less, i can’t recall. i don’t wanna advocate uh.. “portable” versions but uh... there’s that option too ;) (not sure if CSP has it but i think SAI’s is around somewhere on the internet...)

in the end, it really is an investment if it’s something you want to hone!! huion is something you should definitely look into and if you want to keep doing it in the long run, you can upgrade much later! I would say, if you can somehow test how well you can do with a non-display tablet, i would just go with that for budget purposes. if it wasn’t for my impulsive nature, i probably wouldve stuck with a non-display for a very long time lol.

oh also this is me assuming you have a laptop or a computer, if you’re running solely on mobile then an ipad alternative would be the samsung s6 tab lite, or anything similar, esp if you’re just going to be using it for drawing!
