Now, it’s moments like right now, where he’s biting his way across Alex’s thighs, thighs sprinkled with just the right amount of hair, hairy in the way that Henry likes, not just a dusting but actual hair that catches on his tongue as he lavishes the spots he’s sucked bruises into. You've probably read a million high school/college AU's and maybe some middle school or kindergarten ones. Regardless, you've seen the Hetalia characters a students. But what would they be like if they were teachers? Here's what I think...

Hetalia characters and what kind of teacher I think they'd be:

America: He's the kind of teacher that's generally pretty chill, except due to that, he gives the most gut wrenching "I'm very disappointed in you guys" speeches. And he's actually a very busy teacher who is diligent, so he doesn't take easy to students who slack off and expect to pass by doing absolutely nothing. But he's one of those teachers who has buddy-buddy type conversations with students.

Canada: He's a sweet and very understanding teacher. You can tell from the first day of class that he's super approachable. He keeps a well organized class space with very straight forward boundaries. He's blunt and honest but he's nice about it. He stays extra hours after school incase anyone wants tutoring or maybe just wants to hang out even.

France: His classroom is definitely very decorative and pretty. He likes to feel comfy. Not a huge fan of boring assignments. He likes creativity and will actively do what it takes to get all students participating. Don't think you can sit in your little emo corner by the window because he will ask you to speak up about what you thought about your classmates presentation. Also he pays a lot of attention to his students, so he notices when someone's having a bad day and is willing to chat with them.

England: He is very orderly and quite strict. He's the kind of teacher that says "today we're gonna do a fun assignment" and then proceeds to assign a 5 page essay. He loves what he teaches but more often than not the students don't share the same sentiment over the subject. Students tend to think he has a personal vandetta against them, but in reality he doesn't. He just wants you to be self-disciplined because he genuinely cares, but it tends to come off as "I just want to fail you".

China: He's strict. He doesn't play games. Don't think you can get away with ass-kissing or trying to play teachers pet because unless you actually do the work, you ain't passing. He's one of those old teachers that knows every trick students could possibly try to pull. And by the same token, he's that old teacher that never gives up on a student. He will do what he can to teach you what you need to learn, even if it's the last thing he does.

Russia: Every student on campus is terrified of him. His assignments are not easy, he is not shy about assigning tough work. But he's always in his class (yes, always) so if you don't go in to ask for help that's on you babes. He will actually take the time to explain it one step at a time. He's also just happy to have company during his lunch time. And he really appreciates little gifts, he's the teacher that never throws away gifts from students that have graduated years ago.

Japan: He's not the most talkative or loud teacher, but he still knows how to demand students attention, even while keeping a calm, unbothered face. And he has a quiet voice, he is not afraid to "raise" his volume if necessary (I say "raise" cuz its more of a harsh berating tone). He is very kind, and he explains things very well the first time. He's strict on due dates and punctuality though. However, he's more lenient on other things (as long as you show respect to him, of course).

Germany: He's scary. First day of class he immediately gives a speech about how he will not tolerate any bullshit whatsoever. (I imagine him giving the spiel he gave at the world meeting in episode 1.) He has a small but very well enforced set of rules. The basics: just show respect and do your work as expected. You will learn that if you try your best, he will give you grace and understanding regardless of the result. He's pretty generous, really, just don't be a lazy ass.

Italy: He's perky and preppy and ready to start the day, every day. Even if he arrives right before the bell rings. He's a teacher of few rules, but don't take advantage of that. He will put his foot down eventually, for he can only let things go so far. He always wants to help and will be there for you if you need to talk, but disrespectful behavior will have consequences. If you decide you want to chose that path, he's happy to let you have enough rope to hang yourself with.

I did not come up with Wasian Felix, I've seen this headcanon around the fandom for a minute. But it's one of my favorite fandom hcs. It makes a lot of sense for him as a character and it also add diversity into the story which it really does need. I understand why a game that takes place in the 12th century fake Europe only has 6(?) (Dedue, Claude, Petra, Cyril, Shamir, Hapi) POC but it's fanfic, I can do whatever I want. I have never been part of an all white friend group and I'm not write about that in my self indulgent little fanfic.

Felix also just has biracial kid having an identity struggle™ energy. Hating your homeland is not exclusive to biracial/multicultural/immigrant kids but I do think it's different than when you're part of the majority ethnic group. Felix does not hate Faerghus, no matter what he says. I think he's been burned. As an immigrant kid I deeply relate to that. I don't hate the US, I'm just so very bitter. If I could, I'd tell it to go fuck itself and move somewhere sunny and fun (which I did) but it will always be home. Felix may hate and curse Faerghus, but he still very much cares.

I know other fanfic writers have that he's half Dagdan or Hoshidan to avoid using real world countries. I didn't do that because there's so many dudes I wanted to make POC and it's was honestly just easier for me to use our world.

Anyways. Usaigi AU canon. Rodrigue is half Japanese but grew up in England in the 70s/80s so adamant about being British. Married another Japanese-British women and had Glenn and Felix. And while they tried to stay connected to their Japanese heritage, it became especially difficult after Rodrigue's wife passed since he spend so much of his life trying to assimilate. Felix proceeds to grow up feeling like an outsider in high british society and in his own friend group. Sylvain tries to relate to him cuz he's also mix (half Argentinean) but he's still white. He doesn't get it. At least he has Glenn. And then Glenn dies. Then he has no one. The one person who should understand him says the worst thing ever and it just crushes him.

Ted Lasso has completely taken over my life rn so as a coping mechanism and as a lil treat for the finale tomorrow here's my ✨predictions✨ for what will happen:

- the writers are pulling a camp rock 2 move aka Richmond will not win de cup but instead lose at the last moment

- their opponents are West Ham (idk if they mentioned the opponents yet but i feel like we're still owed a rematch with WH), Nate's players will try to celebrate with him

- Ted returns to Kansas, where he will start coaching a football (soccer for y'all Americans) team. I can't tell whether Beard will stay or go back home too...

-Roy becomes head coach, with Nate as his main strategist

- they're not gonna make RoyxKeeleyxJamie explicit, but will frame things so that you can definitely read that into it if you want. They will make RoyxKeeley a thing again, but idk if we're ready for an actual throuple on this show with arguably not working up to it enough so far

- Colin will get to kiss a fella in semi-public but it won't be a team mate (y'all heard he thinks Bumbercatch is fit and really ran with it lmao)

- Rebecca and Sam won't get together as long as he stays with Richmond, cuz of the power dynamics

- Some of the players will get traded. If it's Sam (he's underutilised at Richmond with so many ace players already there), he and Rebecca give their relationship another go

- Bex divorces Rupert. She, Rebecca and the secretary start an ex-wives club, and the three of them become Rupert's daughter's mom-coven

- Trent's book will be an absolute success. He will stay at Richmond, either as press liaison or bc he starts his own sport column/blog

What more pleasant way to start the day than an hour or two fishing, especially on a crisp clear summers morning, and more especially if you have a well stocked moat ready to hand.

This is Viscountess Zenobia Trewarne, ward to the late king Robert and cousin to the Queen. She came home from school in England to attend the king’s funeral and stayed on as Lady in Waiting.

Alas, the morning’s tranquillity cannot last long, for that is that is Jenny, Her Majesty’s chamber maid, on her way with a message. She spends much of her time doing that lately, the castle being rather understaffed at present and Zenobia spends much of her time receiving such messages. She had hoped, at such an early hour, for some respite, but alas, it was not to be.

“Beg’ your pardon Lay Zenobia. Her Highness’ compliments, an’ she wants the two of you for breakfast”.

“I always suspected it, Jenny. But she can jolly well have cornflakes like the rest of us and lump it!”

“And leave you all alone here with Aunt Beatrice? No, Lucy, I won’t do it! Oh, she’d love to pack me off back to school, wouldn’t she? Couldn’t wait to get rid of me, and inflict some frightful old witch of a governess on you. But she can’t force me, and she knows it.

“Besides, I think I’d had my fill of school: all that jolly hockey sticks stuff, and everybody competing to be the most popular girl; hero worshipping anybody who biffs in a last minute goal and saves the match for the ‘good old coll’. You can keep it! And, as for chums, well my very best chum is right here in front of me!”

“So, please don’t feel bad on my behalf, Lucy. I came home for Uncle Robert’s funeral, but I stayed on because you needed a friend with you – not a lot toadying courtiers, or some horrid old governess. And if Brelor Castle really were a prison, and you were in it, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else but right there beside you.

“We’d best get our skates on: the sooner we’re ‘suitably dressed’ the sooner we can get a suitable breakfast. Believe me Lucy, the food’s better here than back at school. Think: bacon and eggs, with toast or fried bread, a few mushrooms, maybe, delicately fried to a golden blush”.

“Hmm, I’d give the royal assent to all of that! Come, let us go robe ourselves sweet cuz, in customary suits of solemn black “.

“Oh Lucy! Have you been reading Hamlet again? You should try Treasure Island for a change. Bloodthirsty pirates are far more fun than mad Danish princes who go foraging around graveyards at night picking up skulls”.

Side note: obviously this isn’t something that would’ve ever actually happened, the U.S. was real careful about stuff like this (this episode irks my dad so much for said reasons 😂) however I will admit it’s a fun plot to play with, no matter how unrealistic

First off this man is so bloody dramatic about his ankle. “I tHiNk It’S bRoKeN iN aBoUt ThReE pLaCeS” no it’s not, you’re fine. Unfortunately I think you’ll live. Rub some dirt on it and walk it off.

The way he’s so snarky and the tone he has when he says “there’s a war going on you know.” Like really?? I loved how Hogan and Newkirk responded though 😂 but honestly have you not figured out at this point that these people are trying to help you? And that’s how you decide to speak to them?? He treats them like they’re stupid and acts like such a blowhard who knows everything about everything and it only gets worse from here.

The way he acts so shocked that there’s “a limey and a yankee?” Like yes I realize you’re in the middle of Germany but as you so kindly mentioned before there is a war going on and England and America happen to be allies if you haven’t noticed O Mr. Wise One.

When he starts running his mouth about flying and how if they had stayed in formation this never would’ve happened UGH HE DOESN’T EVEN HAVE THE DECENCY TO SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE MEN THAT JUST DIED. These brave young souls that were serving their country and all he’s worried about is himself and about how he thinks they should’ve done things differently (cuz his is the only opinion that really matters). Step aside everyone, the expert is here and is so gracious as to tell us how these boys should fly a plane. The satisfaction I felt when Kinch was just like “who’s the expert” and “he sure got smart awful fast” man was so unimpressed and rightfully so.

In the tunnels you can obviously see there’s a lot going on. These guys run a pretty tight ship and they got things to do but you got Hobson out here constantly trying to talk to Hogan when he’s clearly in the middle of something. Absolutely love how Hogan just flat out ignored him until he was done 😂 Hobson is just completely oblivious tho and is totally unaware that the world does not revolve around him

The fact that Hobson even had the audacity to mention writing an article on their whole operation in the first place. THERE IS A WAR GOING ON, HAVE YOU EVER HEARD THE PHRASE LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS how stupid is this man?? And when Hogan very plainly explains to him “hey you absolutely cannot do that” he starts to argue with him! He just has no understanding of the consequences of putting this out in the public. These guys have a very good chance of ending up dead if Hobson pulls this stunt and it just blows my mind that he can’t grasp this. How do you think war works pally?? BUT THEN HE GOES AND DOES IT ANYWAY right cuz leaving out the names will make it okay. This man’s complete disregard for anyone but himself is truly amazing. Selfish, arrogant, ignorant, and being a know-it-all is not a good combination of traits to have

And then we just never hear about him for the rest of the episode?? Which is a pretty good chunk?? There had to be consequences for this man, I really wish they would’ve at least brought it up at the end, I need to know if Hobson got what he deserved! I mean surely he did but still the people want answers and vengeance

Thief of Spades Season 2 (30ish chapters in total, 75-80k words) (ukus, detective/thief AU)- found out it's gonna take a little bit longer than I thought to finish it up but BY GOD I WILL DO IT. Nobody remind me that it's already been 8 months since I updated it. I know. I don't wanna talk about it. T_T

A Closer Look (one-shot, 5-6k words) (usukus, human AU) - hung over punk Arthur/stranger on the train Alfred with a tattoo "fixation" I think I can actually get it finished fairly quickly and I'm really enjoying it because it's turning out to be the most "they're both switches" thing I've ever done... and it's got a title now! Woo!

The Benefits of Being a Marine Biologist (working title, 25k-50k words, one-shot, no chapters) (ukus, monsterfuckery or rather, faefuckery) - No I will not elaborate further. ;P

in response to the independence point - we had an independence referendum in 2014 where 55% of scottish people voted to remain in the uk, who we do still answer to on reserved matters like economy and national security as you said (transport and education, among other things, are devolved matters that the scottish government can control). said 55% were majority older people who were (and this is fair enough) worried as to how scotland would fare as an independent country and economy, because we haven't been one for quite honestly hundreds of years (we actually only got our own parliament in the late 1990s). the feeling is that we put a lot into the union with the rest of the uk for very little benefit - subsidising england/westminster with a lot of money (made through an actually very sustainable/substantial economy), only to be shafted and disregarded when it comes to policy-making in westminster and, culturally, taken the piss of a bit by the english (mostly those in the south - historically, scotland and northern england were all fucked by thatcherism, so there's less animosity there i think. and as matty said, he's from the north and wants independence - westminster cares about southern england and that's it, really). post-brexit, more people expressed a want for scottish independence - we voted overwhelmingly to stay in the eu, but we're being dragged out anyway - and the constant failures of a ruling conservative party we didn't even vote for (most scottish votes went to the scottish national party) have continued to increase our want to just get the fuck out (because we're smaller geographically, we've less say in uk-wide elections, so we end up drawing the short straw fairly often). there's also a lot of socio-religious-political problems in scotland that kinda complicate ideas of identity and the overall want to be independent, but i won't get into those now because we'll be here for AGES lmao

politically, matty saying that scotland should be independent on the bbc - who are MEANT to be impartial but are basically government lapdogs in disguise - is quite brave of him, especially for someone who has no real connection to scotland other than liking being there and working there lmao (like it would probably be less dramatic politically if ross, who's of scottish heritage to some degree, had said it). i hope this makes sort-of sense - it's hard to explain concisely because it's so rooted in history AND current politics lol

So, at the risk of being reductive, let me see if I understood you: basically, Scotland doesn’t get too much of a say in who’s in charge but has to follow along with the conservatives rule (who aren’t even populist/ popular but they’re in charge, unfortunately - don’t we in the US know what that’s like, smh) and contributes significantly to the economy with very little reward? So it would be in its best interest to be independent at this point, especially after Brexit means they don’t get to be part of the EU cuz the UK isn’t anymore (not that y’all have had much of say in that choice either since, as we just said, Scotland’s votes end up not having enough weight)?

I've mixed feelings about Ted Lasso's last ep. I liked that Rebecca stayed in the club. I liked that everyone saw what a shitty person Rupert is. I liked that Roy is now the manager (he has done a lot of growing, he deserved the chance). I liked the proposal for a women's team. I liked Nate back and not as coach, he has to win his place again. I liked Roy/Keleey/Jamie even if they're not official official. I think in the big picture everyone was good. But I can't stop thinking it was not amazing? I don't think it has to do with shipping cuz I don't feel strongly about any ship, I barely care about that except for what I already stated. I think my biggest issue is with Ted going back, and even when I think half of the things they showed were Ted's imagination (Beard wouldn't marry without Ted there. Fight me) and he can go visit the team and all that I don't know. It's bittersweet. Maybe the thing that I don't like is that it feels so definitive. In a show about making connections and building community, at the end the glue is gone and alone (Because, besides henry he doesn't have anything in America. His bff is in England, his ex is with Jake, his mom is a double edged sword, we don't know about any other friends or meaningful connections, all of them are in England). He made all of them form connectins to be left alone in the end? And no-one wanted him to leave, but respected his choice. I don't really know where I'm going with this but something something being the one that unifies but the one who never fits, the one that teaches therefore cannot be part, the one that leaves so he cannot be left again.

Also, I just love whenever they give a bit of extra “lore” to the bigger magical world that CCS takes place in. Kaito reveal bits of information about how the European Clan is interested in what’s happening with Li Clan (esp cuz of their connection to Clow). Yeah, I wonder why that deep interest in Clow--is it because of his reputation? Is it Sakura (with how powerful she’s becoming, she can be a threat or target for anyone out there--y’know aside from Kaito and whatever he has planned). OR MAYBE THERE’S A RELATIONAL CONNECTION!!! I had to check old notes, but for chapter 12 I threw in a random theory of maybe Akiho’s family is related to Clow’s father’s side of the family (cuz England, and also we never got info on that other side of the family--and later we had chapters of Eriol calling Syaoran talking about the European Magical Association and I was getting excited for a possible east meets west magical showdown). IS THIS IT THEN?? Cuz if they’re really related to Clow on the other side, that would be wild and kinda cool seeing how things are being connected here. 

To end, I just want to say how fuzzy and warm I feel over SyaoSaku in this chapter. From the cover to the “SAKURA!!” and “SYAORAN-KUN!!” moments to the “You’re the only Sakura Kinomoto” (paraphrased)--ahhh I feel so so soooo (as Sakura would put it) “はにゃあん～“ over everything! Like remember those dreams Sakura would have where she sees Syaoran under the cloak (with that blank look in his eyes), or how people close to her not remembering who she is and all?? But then Syaoran, the real Syaoran who fought his way to stay in this world, just declares how there’s only one of her or just straight up reminds her of who she is (when she very literally couldn’t remember who she was herself)--that’s just so reassuring and affirming. I love that so much. I love them so much.

the concept of being “overqualified” for a job is a construct of capitalism, because employers want their employees to be dependent on them so they can get away with more shit without losing workers. if you have more qualifications than necessary for the position, especially if you have a lot more, you could very easily get a different, better-paying or higher-quality job if you become unsatisfied with your current one. if you just barely meet the qualifications for your current job, almost any others that you would be able to find would be a downgrade, likely with a lower rank and pay.

The characters like America, Spain, Romano,Japan, England, china, Russia, Germany, Italy,and France

Disclaimer: Im not a RP account so this may not be an accurate depiction, just my headcanon or how I think they might react, will prolly have some biases or mixed with IRL relations.

America:

- will be worried with a hint of alarmed/cautiousness , that his dark side came back(the war flag thing), because of his experiences with him during their war trying to subdue him as new colony, Alfred doesnt want to go through that again..

Spain:

- meloncholy kind of nostalgia to see his former colony being dark and broody which is leagues away from his current personality. He wants to help or is curious to what happened..but after relinquishing him all those years ago he doesnt feel like he has the right to butt in anymore...but doesnt stop him from trying to be gossipy and try to get some info..

Romano:

- (if by canon lore they had interactions) : will probably do a big brother “who hurt my lil bro” behaviors, and tries to be mad to who every made Piri act that way , but is actually scared shitless right now.

- (if they havent met in their childhood/no interactions) largely wants to stay away and will probably blame spain or alfred for causing  a known country to be peppy, to act all dark n shit..

Japan:

- mild ptsd because world war ‘dos’ , like sense of guilt creeping in him. He tries to fight it back by asking for information from everyone, he tries to assist and also cheer him back again.. but it lowkey sounds like a business negotiation instead because he is not that good in cheering up someone that is known to be hella cheerful.

England:

- Just like his old ways, he will probably stay away but near enough to observe the situation, act all tsundere like doesnt care but actually cares. Worried how this will affect the ASEAN group since he is one of the founders, he will take note if he needs to make some interference if it gets too bad.

China:

- Will probably starts nagging to everyone, then tries to sell piri some sketchy ancient medicine to bring him back to his old self, maybe do some ancient rituals along with it too in an attempt to bring the cheerful kid back (for a price) (it doesnt work cuz this is 2p) 

Russia:

- will try to exploit the situation to bring piri to his as a friend, and maybe lure in the other ASEAN members in to his circle too. Will use reasons like having the same special country day, or that he only him can understand this side of him and wont force him to change as long he remains loyal and stuff.

Germany:

- Doesnt know what to do, they havent met..Is hesitant if he should care or not but since he is neighbors with Japan he should not just be dismissive of this, since he heard from Italy , that the ASEAN has same vibe as him. he tries to ask Italy for some advice..but voted against his advice of “lots of beautiful girls”

Italy:

- will panic and be akward/scared cuz he just met them a few times, and will probably try to think back if he said anything horrible in their meeting. Is really scared if he had something to do with it, he hides and cries behind his nearest friend, will probably ask everyone whats going on.

France:

- Will be smug as hell, wants to be the big brother type and cheers up the kid (with some sussy intentions) but largely just as a bragging point towards England that he is such a good EU member that he manages to cheery up a far away nation, So he tries to approach asean members but feels them getting all alarmed for his sudden approach
