Oof, I’m writing this and I’m realizing how complicated the whole situation is. The calamity for Ammon was a year ago and they won. Link is his son. The calamity was ten years ago for Tillieth and they lost, and Link is also her son.

Ammon is definitely not Abel and Tillieth is def not Sarah

Yeah, it’s very complicated for sure! They gotta get through layers of trust building first. Like I feel like Ammon would realize they’re on the plateau and recognize the destruction and be trying to figure out why this woman is the only one here and why the guardians haven’t been cleaned up and why everything is so decayed. And Til is trying to figure out who the heck this guy is, how he got on the plateau, what he was doing in her bed, where Abel is, and what state the shrine is in.

Til first needs to know that Ammon isn’t a threat, and Ammon probably has to start there before he can get answers. But the good thing is Til is more trusting than Abel, so she might honestly believe him with as bewildered and unsettled as he’s likely to be.

A bit of a long idea for Slick Sunday, but I hope you like it! (w/Omega!Steve & Alpha!Eddie):

Steve has just finished giving birth to his and Eddie’s pup after a long and strenuous labor. But before he can begin to relax, Eddie nonchalantly asks when they’re going to have the paternity test done, now or before they leave. Cue the misunderstandings.

For important background info: As a young pup, Eddie recalls once hearing his dad proclaim that he made sure to get the test done before leaving the hospital to “make sure the pup’s mine” (Al Munson: Worst Father Ever). Kid Eddie, in all his oblivious creativity, took that to mean that hospitals regularly swapped out babies. After all, he’d read stories about people being switched at birth only to later find out they were royalty or heroes (fantasy stories, mind you). But the idea solidified in his young mind, and it never even dawned on him what the test actually implied. 

This idea (pups being switched at birth) was further backed by growing up with Wayne, a man who loved a good conspiracy theory and a deep mistrust of the government, not to mention Eddie having survived the Upside-Down and the cover-ups that followed in the aftermath. All this to say, to Eddie it was entirely possible for the hospital to try and pull ‘The Ol' Switcheroo’. And so, the test to make sure the pup was his and Steve’s. 

On the flip-side of this, you now have a furious Robin (who dares question the honor and loyalty of her dingus!) and Steve, who is distraught at Eddie’s accusations, exhausted from labor and child birth, and who is now risking emotional rejection sickness at such a critical moment (he’s thinking Eddie is rejecting him and their pup).

I don’t see this as full-blown angst, but more comedic in nature, especially once Steve and Robin find out that Eddie honestly believed the hospital would try and swap out their pup.

imagine everyone at the hotel expects her to freak out over the killing thing because she's CHARLIE she didn't even want her dad to off the guy who murdered her FRIEND.... she's so calm about it and they all think she's in shock....

But what if Charlie finds out she really is fine with killing someone to keep Vaggie safe. Even when she didn't have too.

there were other ways to stop the attack and Charlie took the one that made sure this person would never get another chance to take Vaggie from her

Charlie already has too many nightmares about Lute and a sword- but that was a fear coming from heaven, far away and a known expected threat, something Vaggie hates and will fight against. Vaggie didn't fight against the sinner who came for her. Charlie and terrifying shock of understanding they're surrounded by people who want Vaggie dead now and Vaggie is vulnerable to them in a way a shield won't fix. So Charlie used her trident instead. She cut down the number of people who could ever kill Vaggie by one. She made and example. Gave a warning.

and it's not upsetting to her. It should be and isn't

What if THAT'S what she'd slowly start breaking down over?

Charlie and Lucifer bonding over how falling in love ends with them both falling from their own ideas of grace, and how being fine with that doesn't stop it from hurting

Charlie and all of HELL bonding- maybe, in a weird twist, Charlie becomes closer to her people after defiantly broadcasting a song about how she doesn't regret what she did and would do it again in a heartbeat- so DON'T fucking TRY IT- Vaggie has killed thousands, she's got more blood on her hands than most of the sinners in hell, she's down here fighting for them and trying to heal with scars that never really will and Charlie loves her and will tear apart her own morals to protect the life they've built together

there'd probably a lot of sinners in hell who can feel for that. maybe it turns out that a princess who's more like them is what they needed. it's something they can respect and open up to

I THINK VAGGIE LOOKS SO PRETTY??? IS THAT JST ME? I think I kinda ate 😎 but yeah she's your average person (depressed. Edgy. Angsty.) And she wear jordans cuz she's just cool like that 😍 she listens to hard-core rock music and Tyler, the creator for sure. Idk she also gives off Mitski vibes (no... it's not because I'm listening to Mitski right now wdym.....). Her dad(Husk) couldn't afford a prosthetic eye so she opted for the eyepatch(she would wear it anyways she's a freak like that 😭)

Charlie design! Her horns stay out because she's not sure how to conceal them yet. When they grew out it became hard to hide them. She's a bit insecure about her demon features. Doesn't help her parents think of her as a failure and disappointment. Yeah, she's got some family problems 😔 my poor baby. Oh yeah and also she kills people for Valerie! It's apart of their deal, due to Valerie's gang stuff, she summoned a demon to protect her. And kill for her. Who knew she'd fall in love with that same demon and let alone become friends with her?

Human form! Her pupils are still goat like, plus her fingers look like claws to differ herself from other humans. Buttt... she still fits in as one so she's totally fine! She's kinda giving Sheldonnand I'm scared. She's annoying asf to everyone in the school she goes to with Valerie. People try to fuck her up but she doesn't want to risk getting caught as a demon so when that happens, Valerie is the one that protects her! So ykno, a good ol' switcheroo! Not one sided protecting here!! 😈

Ok lets take a hot second here. Jūn absolutely deserves all the hugs. Some nose boops, maybe. Great amounts of affection, perhaps.

Just imagine him with someone who sees past his resemblence to Wukong. His s/o able to come and go freely, Wukong telling Jūn that if he lets the s/o leave that she won't come back. Except, she does. Jūn having/knowing if you love someone to let it go, and they'll come back to you.

Granted, I don't know how Wukong would react but I do love the idea of Wukong thinking he'll have to console his son/tell him 'I told you so' to try and get Jūn converted to his way of thinking. But Jūn's s/o keeps coming back. Jūn maybe a bit smug about it?

But in any case, someone please get that boy some affection. He needs and deserves it.

i liked the idea of jūn falling for someone who was already "taken" as it were. princess is in one of those switcheroo-type situations; the royal family she's "from" didn't want to give up the actual princess in a peace treaty with their rival, so they sent this girl in her place.

jūn saves her from bandits a few times in his heroic escapades, and thinks she's very pretty and nice and he feels certain feelings when he's around her and he doesn't know what to do about it. he just knows not to go about the way his dad does.

Season 1. Wincest Narrative

The way this story unfolds is so, so beautiful and I lose my mind a little when I think about it as a whole. When it opens, the brothers haven’t spoken in 3 or 4 years even though they've both desperately wanted to, and they both think the other doesn't want them. The first time they see each other after Sam walks out, they struggle in the dark and pin each other to the ground and then run away together.

Season character arcs

Sam begins the season ostensibly satisfied with his life at Stanford, with a career plan and a long-term relationship. Two things have to happen to disrupt that- Dean coming back into his life, and Jessica being killed. Kind of a switcheroo. 

Sam was going to marry his Dean-replacement girlfriend. He was never going to talk about his past even though he still thought about it all the time, still looked up cases and tried to follow along with what was happening in Dean’s life. He was going to box his past up and put it away forever and pretend to fit in because this is the life he chose, and because Dean didn't pick him. And then Dean literally breaks through Sam's careful barriers and all it takes is a gruff “yeah well I don’t want to [do this without you]", and Sam packs his bags. He doesn't even look back when Jessica asks where he’s going. He doesn’t kiss her goodbye. 

The way Dean appears to Sam as this dangerous, rough-around-the-edges, so familiar and so alive and so secret fork in the road is just delicious.

Dean starts the season believing that Sam has rejected and abandoned him. He wants his little brother back so badly, but he truly thinks Sam doesn’t want him. He finally has something to approach Sam with that maybe Sam will care about enough to come back to him- their dad, missing. I haven't seen this episode but I know later in the show Dean says he waited for hours outside before he broke in, agonizing over what Sam would say.

Over the course of the season Dean pursues Sam and shows him that he will protect him, keep him safe, choose him, respect him, and save him. The one thing he won't do is corrupt him, which is what he believes their feelings for each other would do. That's a conflict he'll bring into next season, but Sam decides to love him anyway. Sam tries so hard to hold onto the world outside of Dean but he ends up succumbing. By the end of the season, they’ve accepted that they're the most important things to each other.

John’s role is crucial to Sam and Dean’s relationship

Sam wants to belong and to be his own person. John is the force dictating his life before he leaves, so he has to get away from John. It’s not possible for Sam to grow up without breaking from his dad.

John gives bundled baby Sammy to Dean the night of the fire and that’s pretty much the way their relationships with each other form. John has handed Sam off to Dean. They hold conflicting positions in Sam’s life. 

John is a larger-than-life god-like figure to Dean. He’s distant and he has all the answers and all the power and his word is law, and Dean’s contract with him is to Take Care of Sam. So Dean serves this purpose under John’s rule until they reach a point at which Dean can’t take care of Sam without breaking from John and growing up. That rupture came to a head when Sam left for Stanford and Dean takes his first steps toward replacing John when John goes missing, by going to Sam. Dean makes the first move after years have passed to reconnect, something not even John would do.

Sam and Dean are fighting against getting close again for different reasons

Sam wishes he could have a normal life. A normal life is by necessity also a life distant from Dean. In the first episode, when Dean drops Sam off at Stanford and tells him they made a pretty good team, Sam looks conflicted and chokes out a “yeah” before watching Dean drive away. He knows they make a good team, that’s not the problem. Throughout this season, he is at war with wanting to be with Dean vs wanting to be normal.

From the very first episode and throughout the entire season, it’s obvious that they were very close before Sam left. They make each other angry and they make each other laugh and they communicate just by looking at each other- strategizing and seeking each other’s opinions and assessing each other’s needs in glances. They instantly fold back into each other’s lives, they save each other over and over. They gravitate toward each other and walk in sync and stand in each other’s spaces. There’s this sense that they know one another, not just better than anyone else, but better than anyone could ever possibly know them. It's clear to the viewer that they're matching puzzle pieces.

And I don’t think Sam’s conflict is actually about hunting versus normal at all. Sam rediscovers his love and aptitude for hunting right away. He feels fulfilled, admires Dean, and enjoys himself much of the time. In “It’s a Terrible Life” (s4) he still asks Dean to run away with him and be hunters together in an alternate universe. So his conflict centers on John and Dean. 

At this point Sam thinks Dean sided with John and abandoned him when he stopped hunting. But it’s more than feeling hurt and abandoned by Dean- Sam literally cannot have both Dean and a life. Dean is all-consuming. Sam could get the things he needs from Dean- belonging and respect- if it weren’t for two things: 1, Dean is still unwilling to break from John in a way that matters and 2, the way that they love each other is so abnormal it feels impossible.

Sam is unwilling to put Dean above everything else because it is in fact a dichotomy- Dean is bigger than just a brother, he can’t fit into Sam’s life as just another part of it. Sam knows that. 

Dean’s conflicts mirror Sam’s. Sometimes he resents hunting and wishes his life could’ve been normal. He faces the same dichotomy- once he becomes more independent from John, he can either have a family and home of his own or he can have Sam, and he hates himself partly because what he wants more is Sam. He knows that's not normal and thinks a part of Sam hates him for it. One reason their connection is so fraught with guilt and shame is because it's sexual/psychosexual, which is why I personally tag everything wincest. The way sexual and romantic relationships are so often a blatant point of conflict between them, the way their scenes are often shot like sex scenes, the jealousy and possessiveness, the way they touch each other, the fact that they see each other as desirable. It all points to a love complicated by sex. I have no problem with the idea of them as platonic soulmates, but I honestly think the text supports just straight-up wincest.

And actually they're not soulmates

They're twin flames. The idea that they're soulmates comes in later, but I think it's more precise and also more useful to the narrative to understand them as twin flames.

Twin flames are one soul split into two people, and their purpose is to cause one another to grow and be challenged by their connection. They're halves and also mirrors. That's why their dynamic is so often this push-pull, why their connection is so palpable, why they find each other in every universe and why they know each other so impossibly deeply. Narratively, one is often pursuing the other and they tend to push each other to the deepest depths of highs and lows. They separate, but they always come back to each other.

anyway here are the headcanons:

She was, like, off the grid (obviously) after she was taken by V.I.L.E. It was like the episode where she was taken.

She was brainwashed like, instantly after she was kidnapped. Though, before, she was forced to give away ACME secrets otherwise they'd kill her only living family (another HC: she only has a dad and a sister)

obviously, she was scared for their lives- if she was threatened with her own death she'd never give away anything- and after some torture finally gave in and just said the basics before getting brainwashed.

she became, with some training, one of the academy's best operatives in history (like black sheep was supposed to be, like shadowsan used to be)

she was still a history nerd, she still had her knowledge on a lot of things and places like she had before

she was a stealth specialist- she could sneak in and out like a shadow and never be caught.

she does ballet as a hobby at V.I.LE

she has no clue who she used to be (obviously) but sometimes gets flashbacks to her time helping Carmen whenever she talks about history

the younger V.I.L.E operatives LOVES her history rants (ha fuck you Devineaux) (no hate tho)

she started fencing as an extracurricular when she was studying in her younger years, and now when she joined V.I.L.E, she keeps getting memories back of those times

she's a better fencer than Professor Maelstrom

she mostly fights with a sabre or hand to hand (another hc: she learnt Kung Fu when she was younger and was one of the best in the country, no wonder ACME wanted her. But she barely uses it now since she's scared she'll legit knock someone out too painfully)

Her codename is Dame Noir, or Lady Black, because her suit is always black

Eddie gapes at him.

“You retired?” He asks. 

“Yes,” Ramon replies.

“Willingly?”

“Yes, Edmundo. Willingly.”

Eddie huffs out a heavy breath.

“Well,” he says after a moment. “I’m sure you must be going crazy.”

“It just happened. Two weeks ago,” his father explains. “And now I’m here.”

Now he’s here. He almost died. Eddie almost died. The world almost ended, and Ramon Diaz decided, hey, time to retire and try to fix things with his son. Eddie doesn’t know what to think. Part of him is moved, honestly. The part that always sought his father’s approval. That tried so hard to be the boy he wanted him to be. That then, spurned, tried to be anything but that man. That lost little kid in him wants to take this at face value. The father in him? Less happy. The son says, finally. The father says, how could you ever have waited this long? 

“Please, son,” Ramon replies when Eddie is silent for too long. “All I’m looking for is a chance not to miss any more of your life. Or my grandson’s.”

This last comment lights a fire in Eddie. 

“But you would have never known Christopher at all,” Eddie accuses. “If I hadn’t run into my son, a total stranger, in a grocery store, none of us would have ever known him. And that was a choice.” 

“I know, I don’t deserve-”

“Do you?” Eddie cuts him off. “Do you have any idea? Because you missed most of your own kids’ lives, so I can see why it wouldn’t seem like a big deal.”

Ramon flinches. But he takes a steeling breath and looks Eddie in the eye. 

“I… I have an excuse for one, but not the other.”

Eddie tightens his jaw and waits. Fine. He’ll listen. But he’s not going to pretend he’s happy about it.

Another deep breath from Ramon. 

“For Christopher… It’s going to sound like a lie, but really, I didn’t have the same information.”

“What do you mean?” Eddie asks. 

“I… I didn’t… I supported your mother, you know? That’s what you do when you’re married.” 

Eddie tightens his mouth. He doesn’t need a lecture on duty. 

“But I was away on business, she got the call from Shannon. When she heard about the baby. By the time she got back, all I heard was that Shannon girl got pregnant. Moved on from Eddie fast. I didn’t question it.”

Eddie can actually believe this, which  is the problem. It might be easier to know how to feel about it if he thought his dad was lying. He could just stay angry. It’s easier to just stay angry. 

“Okay,” Eddie replies cautiously. “I can see that.” 

“I should have behaved much differently when I found out the truth,” Ramon continues. “I shouldn’t have backed her up. I love your mother, but she was wrong in what she did. I know that. I’m sorry.”

Eddie swallows. The admission has more impact than he would have thought. 

“Thank you,” Eddie says. “I appreciate you saying that.”

If he expects Eddie to apologize in return, for sending them away, for preventing them access to Chris, he won’t, though. He was right to do that. He knows that. 

“I don’t have an excuse for not being there for you growing up,” Ramon says. “Or for the way I reacted when you came out to us. All I can say is that I felt… I felt like there was a certain way to do things right, and was very scared of veering off course. I’m sorry.”

Eddie’s throat feels very tight. He doesn’t really know how to reply. He knows the compulsion his father is talking about. Knows what it feels like to walk away from it. He knows it’s something he inherited. Did it just take Ramon decades longer to turn his back on it? Or is this all a charade? 

“Thank you,” Eddie says again, voice hoarse.

“If there is anything I can do to make it better between us, please tell me, Eddie,” Ramon practically begs. “I’m just looking for a chance.”

Eddie takes a deep breath. “Um… I want… I want to give you a chance, I think. I just… Honestly, Dad, I don’t know how. I don’t know how to trust you.”

Ramon’s eyes flicker down to the table. He nods shallowly.

“I suppose that’s fair.”

The thing is, though… Eddie doesn’t want to be angry. He’d love for this not to be a gaping wound in him. He’s never wanted to hate them. He has always loved them, and found himself missing being loved in return. He doesn’t want to set refusal to forgive as an example to his son, in case god forbid he ever fucks up so badly it’s a question. Not that he would ever fuck up quite like his parents have. Never. 

Eddie would like time and space to process this a bit better than he can right now. But that’s not the scenario he’s presented with. His father has come to apologize and ask if there’s any chance to move forward. Without his mother. Something Eddie wouldn’t have, in a million years, anticipated. So… So, it’s an opportunity. One to accept cautiously. One to measure the benefits and the risks of analytically, rather than from a place of anger. He can do that. 

“I’m open to figuring it out,” Eddie says finally. 

Ramon looks back up at him, hopeful. 

“You are?”

Eddie nods. “It’s… It’ll take me time.”

Ramon sighs, relieved. “Thank you, Eddie. I understand.”

There's a prophesy involved that says Danny will end the world, Diana finds out accidentally about it and finds out she has a son (memory wipe shenanigans) and GOSH. There's so much awesome stuff happening and it's a pleasure to see them piece together the facts. 10/10 Diana rocks

The Batkids are chaos. and im here eating popcorn because it's all super entertaining to watch unfold. 100/10 jessica's duck candle

Friendly neighborhood vigilante by Elizabehta_Beilschmidt: Jazz/Jason THE FIC. honestly one of the best Anger Management fics i've ever read. Love the way Communication between partners is portrayed here and how they overcome the hurdles despite the shitshow that is both their lives (affectionate). 10/10 would read again

Hey, this is the Pup-Switcheroo anon again. Glad you liked the prompt, sorry you need to recover from it 😅

It was definitely a prompt that had two wildly different tones, depending on the character’s POV. 

Like with Eddie, it’s more comedic because he’s gone full conspiracy-theorist on it, worried about the hospital swapping out his and Steve’s pup (Never trust “The Man”, and by that extension the hospital). He’d never call into question Steve’s loyalty. Like, I can imagine him asking Steve about the test, and then getting confused why Steve and Robin are so against it (he thought it tested both him and Steve. Plus, he thought Robin would agree, since she over-worries like he does, aka: the rabies fear). In Eddie’s mind he’s thinking, “Do they not care if the hospital is trying to pull a fast one on us? What if our pup gets swapped out by accident! Then we’d get attached to someone else’s pup, and I doubt we’d be able to keep both?!”, and he just spirals from there in increasingly outlandish scenarios.

Steve’s POV is definitely more angsty, like this request is so out of the blue! He’s tired, in pain, and just wants to bond with their family. Now he’s spiraling: does Eddie doubt him, how long has he thought this, or is he getting cold feet and just looking for a reason to leave them?! Robin, of course, is livid, and sides with Steve.

I would imagine once Eddie realizes what he was actually implying with his question, he’d be horrified and would beg for forgiveness. And then he has a moment where he just goes “….huh, my dad was truly awful.” And then has to unpack all of that.
