I decided to take part in the Sandman Inktober event, but I will use the prompts to write a Haiku (mostly in terms of meter) every day. The idea is to add daily so I end up with a 31 (self-)reblog chain for the whole month.
So if this shows up in your feed again, scroll all the way down or check the reblogs 🙂
I would love to draw, but I feel I would put too much pressure on myself because it takes me a lot longer than writing (and I have hang-ups). But I will give you some older art with my first Haiku (two versions existed of this one, but the other was a bit gory/potentially triggering in more than one way, and I mostly painted over it)…
1. Dream
Dream weaves silent tales,
Endless stories, worlds untold,
But at night they speak.

Man don't you hate it when God gives you Sentience against your will?
Inktober Day 1: Dream
Unfinished sketching & penning and talking below
Look, the prompt was "Dream" and my brain turned off. I reverted back to my roots.
I do love how this turned out. Got myself new pens and whatnot so I can have more pop & color in the pieces so that's pretty sweet.
Time to burden myself & overfed you all for the month /j

Day 1: dream
Inktober is upon us! :))))))) this is fine I can do it all without having an emotional breakdown this time hahaha ha haaaa... ahem.
First prompt was super easy to find; I've been quietly obsessed with this series since it aired last year... and definitely plan to buy the whole graphic novel collection as soon as I can afford it! ;-;

It was also really lovely to see plenty of other artists choose to draw Dream of the Endless for the official Inktober prompt list challenge. I am only not showcasing their art here because they are doing the official challenge and not the specific Sandtober2023 art challenge.
If you still want to submit art for the day 1 prompt you absolutely can! Just tag it #Sandtober2023 and tag me too if you want to to make sure I don't miss you!
Day two's prompt is "Nightmare" and I have already seen some gorgeous art for today. Please don't forget to use the Sandtober2023 tag and to tag me too so I don't miss it!

Inktober 2023: Day 1-6
[This year's Inktober prompt is a fantasy script, but I'm currently too unimaginative to make it all fantasy-genre.]
It's been years since the last time I did Inktober, but this time I'm committed to actually draw the whole prompt.
The quality will drop so badly (as you can see above) because I have to save space for my old tablet, but at least I'll try to post every 6 days.
If anyone ask me for the context of these and upcoming drawings, I will answer. Otherwise, I'll keep my mouth (temporarily) shut and leave the interpretations to you ;)

Extra public toilet
The prompt for day 1 of inktober is Dream. I haven’t looked at anyone else’s drawings yet, but the first thing that came to mind was my recurring dream where I have to pee but all the toilets I find are in the middle of a busy hallway or have clear glass doors or a door that won’t lock and people keep walking into the room. Eventually I wake up and I have to pee in real life, so probably a good thing I couldn’t use any of those dream toilets. I was trying to go for a fish-eye type of perspective to make it look more surreal.

Inktober 2023, Day 1: Dream!
I shall leave all my drivel and ramble under the break as most of the time.
Woooo, is this lazy, yes, but I'm excusing that with the fact that I have a cold that could legitimately turn into covid tomorrow (I'm currently negative, but I my dad got covid Friday soooo... ✨)
But anyway, figured, why not name a nice little big town in the hard to reach mountain-es (spelling???) region of my world! Woo, that's now the city of dreams!
