Hi! I saw your posts about Monty and Chica getting their own kids. Would you do one for the Daycare Attendant/Sun and Moon?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Glamrock Kids: Neil and Tay
I have some rough designs for both actually, though I'm still figuring out the details of each kid as well as ironing out both of their timelines.
Becky Neil-> Bonnie Tay -> Sun/Moon
TLDR: We'd get an explantion for Bonnie's whereabouts, some vengeance on his behalf, and/or some character exploration on the DCA (and potentially Eclipse).
Neil has two settings, the Prequel Route (probably better suited to a DLC/flashback/minigame) and his Present-Day Route.
The Prequel Route would take place a few years before the events of the game when when Neil (at that point known as Becky) is roughly 8 years old at an overnight party in the daycare. This route would finally explain exactly what happened to Bonnie and how Neil barely escaped Vanny's clutches.
The Present-Day Route would be where Neil (13) is investigating the Pizzaplex to try and find where Bonnie went and repair him while defeating the other hacked animatronics. Depending on his choices, he can take either spare parts from the shattered animatronics or find the hidden spare parts scattered across the Pizzaplex. Different endings would result in who he decides to reboot or shatter.
Tay (13 as well) is stuck in the Pizzaplex due to leaving their only blood sugar reader kit behind. They end up searching in the Daycare where Sun bursts in on them with his usually... exuberant hello.
Together (read Sun) finds the kit in the ballpit (having probably been thrown in there via the slide by some bully). The DCA then initially tries to rush the kid out so they can exit the building in time, but after scanning the kid, notes the insanely LOW blood sugar levels as well as several cuts (from their earlier frantic searching).
The delayed exit at the insistence of firstaid treatment and Sun's strange indecisiveness of actually leaving the daycare himself forces Tay to miss the deadline, trapping them for the rest of the night.
Gameplay wise, I feel like it would be fun for Tay's route to sort of be a bonus route you get after completing the others that allows you to explore the pizzaplex in its entiretly without having to deal with as much security so that the player can unlock ALL of the secrets as well as any additional bonus content.
But on the other hand, Tay's route could be an extra hard mode with having NO safeway to walk around the Pizzplex, having to be aware of food intake, having limited or 0 access to cameras, AND having to escape his only ally attempting to kill him every hour.
Plus the thought of Sun constantly panicking about the kid/s safety and Moon trying so hard to fight the glitch to keep this kid (who is one of the few humans to treat both of them the same way) safe at all costs is far more entertaining.
There is also the potential angst of Tay "fixing" the DCA by rebooting him into Eclipse as seen in the Ruin DLC and Eclipse not remembering them.

Note
This might be an interesting question for the DCA Serial killer au:
What happens if Sun and Moon find out that a target of theirs is suffering from a legitimate, untreated mental illness like schizophrenia or dementia or even disorders like PTSD or Accute Stress Disorder? Will they still go for the target after learning about this?
If proven to be untreated it becomes a complication situation, then.
But in the end they still go through with the punishment. They decided long ago that mental illness is never an excuse for their actions or their crimes against the safety of children.
Some humans might've expressed pity if they knew. The brothers do not.

FNAF Sun/Moon x Reader MerMay Fics
MerMay DCA x yn fic list
With Mermay coming to a close I decide to make a list of all the fun fish filled fics I have found so far. Remember to look at the tags and read at your own discretion.
Call of the Abyss by Buligete
archiveofourown.org/works/41191230/chapters/103261704
It was probably all very silly, considering the precarious situation I found myself in, but it really was all I could think about.
Could you really blame me? I never expected to find myself in this kind of a mess. I was not some big shot, thrill seeking space explorer. I was no seasoned freight worker. No avid alien world survivalist. Not even a simple cruise liner flight attendant.
I was a gardener. My feet belonged firmly planted in the soil of a garden world. I had spent my entire life up to now solidly anchored on Earth, and never dreaming of leaving the safety of gravity and atmosphere, despite the increasingly uncomfortable quality of life on the crowded homeworld. Sure, I dreamed of greener pastures. Of fresh air and fertile land. But frontier life and adventures in the big expanse of space? Not quite.
---
A FNAF x Subnautica crossover, about the challenges of survival, surprise friendships with quirky software and alien merfolk, man made horrors beyond our comprehension and unexpected mysteries to be uncovered within the depths.

You aren't what people would call friendly. No. You're not even polite. Much like the salty old sailor who raised you, you're short-tempered and not too social. And that's how you like it.
One day, a dirty-rotten fish steals something important to you. You know better than to tangle with a creature so large and dangerous. But you have little to lose and, by the gods, you're not about to let that smug fish keep what's yours.
Dive into this chaotic tale of merciless mers and our hot-headed protag who has to wrangle them!
Growing Pains by Celticwolfie
archiveofourown.org/works/46891666/chapters/118117984
It was going to be a normal fishing trip. Just a normal hike to the secluded river beach and maybe relax while listening to the forest waking up around you. However, that isn't how things go for you and now you managed to gain the attention of a legendary creature. Now everything seems to be turned on its head. Hopefully, you can adapt to it quickly enough and help these living legends out as their world is starting to shrink around them.

Abyssal Lights by PhoenixDaNeko
archiveofourown.org/works/46600771/chapters/117353191
You used to be powerful. Feared. Vicious. A man-killer. You were one of the most fearsome myths in the sea.
Then, despite everything, you were caught. Stolen from the depths of your home. Your older siblings had always cautioned against going too close to the surface. You wished you'd listened. Captured, placed into barely big enough tanks, traded between rich bastards and unethical scientists. Losing weight, power, sanity, you're beginning to give up, when a mysterious 4 armed... Person (?) comes by.
Who is this metal man, and why is he so interested in you?
My Lungs are Full of You by Xmimi89eR
archiveofourown.org/works/47111743/chapters/118694248
You didn't like the ocean.
The water felt like it would burn (and it does). Your lungs would give out sooner than others and you didn't even know how to swim!
You never asked for this trip, never asked to be here. Yet, here you are, stuck all alone and waiting for rescue that probably would never come.
Or, well, not really alone. The burning gaze of something in the water wouldn't leave you alone.
There Are Many Benefits (To Rethinking This Career Path)  by moonliched
archiveofourown.org/works/47449438/chapters/119573569#workskin
Life is cushy, working on a subterranean research facility on an underexplored ocean planet. As the resident handyman, most of your work takes place underwater - lucky for you, cave diving is your passion. With the building between bi-annual research teams, and the next lot yet to arrive, you find yourself with an excess of free time. All you have to do is fulfil your weekly duties, prepare the facility for the next team of researchers, and relax. Oh, and track down the net that went missing some time ago.
And then you find it.
In a submerged cave.
Trapping a mermaid.
You really wish this wasn't your responsibility.
(Moon thinks he should have listened to Sun and stuck to hunting in warmer waters. Why does this bizarre two-tailed mermaid keep coming at him with sharp instruments?)
Song of the Sea by TheDreamerFae
archiveofourown.org/works/38958630/chapters/97435890
You always loved the tales of Mermaids, of Selkies and of Sirens, of people who lived in the ocean as a child. You remember vividly seeing merfolk, but chalked it up your imagination. But then a boating accident with your grandpa had left you scarred, and you no longer wanted any association with the sea. But life has other plans

Special thank you to Bug, who puts up with me, and Tobi(@Glambots on Tumblr)-This was originally a short story written in their ask box. While the first chapter will be short, they will get longer, just so you know what you're getting into. ;) Please also remember that I’m still learning and this is my first time posting on Ao3 specifically. I apologize in advance for any formatting issues.
Also warnings for this chapter and future chapters of thalassophobia, megalohydrothalassophobia, ososphobia, injury, body horror, animal death, offscreen minor character death, and something at bare minimum reminiscent of drugging. While these may be removed during the editing process as it currently stands these will apply at some point.

You stare into the glass. At first you see nothing, just a greenish-blue landscape, peaceful and ordinary. There is nothing special about it... Or so you think. As the seconds pass, two figures become more and more visible, slowly growing from two distant dots to two large figures, easily two metres tall. The two creatures stare at you, and you raise your hand, slapping it against the cold glass that holds the creatures trapped. These two beings, which until now had been considered to be legends, raise their hands to clasp yours as well. The most wonderful living beings in the world stand before you, separated by thick glass, suffering every day at the hands of greedy people.
How long will they resist this?

"Thalassophobia is the persistent and intense fear of deep bodies of water such as the sea, oceans, pools, lakes. [...] Thalassophobia can include fear of being in deep bodies of water, fear of the vast emptiness of the sea, of sea waves, aquatic creatures, and fear of distance from land."
You are a freelance diver. You are hired to perform difficult dives for item retrieval, research, and/or maintenance checks in less than safe underwater environments. Rule of thumb is to never dive alone; you live by that religiously. Hardly will you ever do a job without your diving partner: Iris. You have a deep seated fear of the open ocean, so if you cant see the bottom of a given body of water, then you simply wont go in.
One day, you receive a job from Fazbear inc. to retrieve the body of an employee at the request of their family. They had drowned when a company ship they worked on had spontaneously combusted and subsequently sank. The company is willing to pay big hush money to keep both the family and your retrieval team from mentioning the wreckage for some reason.

I have lots of thoughts on how the animatronics minds work (especially Sun and Moon) and idk where to put this since it’s not fanfic worthy but I feel the need to put it all down somewhere
Sorta just a brain dump don’t mind me
(just some preface I have very little programming experience and while some of this alludes to real psychology, this is not scientifically accurate at all, just my headcannons)
Now first to establish how the AI work it’s essentially a learning system that compiles multiple directives and inputs to make a decision.
Basically there are multiple learning modules that each receive the same sensory input, but each module has a different directive that it codes for. For example pretty much every animatronic has a “safety” directive that prioritizes human safety and the Glamrocks have a “showtime” directive that helps them perform on stage. Each animatronic can have hundreds to thousands of directives running at any given point. Each directive essentially works by taking the sensory input given to it and spitting out a suggested “action” that should take place given its directive. These actions are then sent to the core processor where there the taken action is chosen. For example, if an animatronic sees a fallen child, an action suggested by the “showtime” directive would be to sing to the child, but a directive from the “safety” directive would be scanning for wounds. Both actions would be sent to the core processor, and based upon probability algorithms (where each action is assigned a probability of 0-100% of being chosen, based on a variety of factors), it would likely choose the safety protocol action. So like the singing option would be assigned a probability of 2% and the scan for wounds suggestion would be assigned a probability of 98%. (Staff consider the “choosing” of a particular action to be completely random, but to the animatronics it’s sorta their free will) This process happens multiple times every second, allowing for adaptability and additions to the behavior. Very basic robots, like the staff bots, only work on one or two directives, making them much less adaptable and sentient compared to the others. It should be noted that not all suggested actions are actual “physical” actions, some could be replaying a memory, changing the probability of another directive being chosen, or simply stating a fact/opinion that a particular directive emphasizes. For an example for the last one, the safety directive could point out “there is snow outside, it will be cold” which could lead to a change in probability for another directive, like the “proper attire” directive.
Now one thing about these directives is that each animatronic has differing levels of awareness of them. Awareness of directives manifests as sorta being able to hear one’s thoughts, like being aware of your own decision making process or hearing thoughts that you otherwise would not act on. Ranking the more complex animatronics in order of least to most aware of their directives we have, Monty, DJ, Chica, Freddy, Roxy, and the DCA (my beloved).
Starting with Monty, even though he’s the least aware of his directives, this doesn’t mean he’s the least sentient. Simply put, he’s a action man first think later kinda guy. He doesn’t like dwelling too long on thoughts or feelings that aren’t important to the present situation. This doesn’t mean he doesn’t still have them though. This ends up messing with his core processor probability mechanism, making him far more impulsive than any other animatronic. When he starts getting errant inputs from a virulent directive (cough cough the peepaw virus) this causes him to act out more violently. He also has a bit of an issue straight up ignoring thoughts that are “bad” to him, like anything to do with a certain rabbit animatronic.
DJ simply vibes man. He has fewer directives compared to the other complex animatronics, mainly because he rarely directly interacts with humans and tends to stay in one place. This however makes him unstable when a new set of directives are put in place that entail security (the bouncer mode). But he’s overall less impulsive than Monty and is self aware of what directives are running at any given point. He rarely has any conflicts with any of the thoughts he receives, so he doesn’t dwell on them. He is the second most stable animatronic emotionally.
Chica is sorta similar to Monty in that she tends to avoid her thoughts and feelings. She’s a far more self aware of them, and purposely takes actions to avoid hearing them (ie overeating) but other than thoughts that depress her, she’s relatively in tune with them. She ends up being very extroverted as she becomes less aware of her directives when shes with others. This makes her seem kinda airheaded, but when she is alone she does tends to get more contemplative. However when a virus starts to isolate her and increase the number of directives/thoughts that upset her, she goes fully into her bad habits.
Freddy is probably the most stable out of all the animatronics (other than maybe DJ). Even before the virus started to effect everyone, Freddy was always the most dependable and strong. In terms of his headspace, this is mainly because he has a good balance of aware and unaware directives. As seen with those previous, having too little awareness of one’s directives can cause impulsiveness, and we will see later what over awareness can do. Even when Freddy has unwanted thoughts/directives, he is able to reason and process them in a healthy way. Some directives relating to Bonnie do mess with his processor though, but other than those, he is relatively stable.
Roxy tries to seem like she doesn’t care, or hear her own thoughts, but that is a fat lie. She has a lot of errant directives that greatly affect the probability calculations of her core processor. This mainly stems from a lot of her directives being related to her appearance, giving her a lot of input she can’t do anything directly about unless she calls staff. This has given her a lot of self image issues. She makes up for this by continually choosing the most “cool” options, even if it’s not the best action for the situation. This leads to her being pretty mean to the other animatronics, staff, and kids. She’s closest to Chica, as she’s the only one who also has a lot of appearance directives (ayo sexism?), but as mentioned before she has more methods to quiet those thoughts.
Last but not least the daycare attendant. The daycare attendant is unique in that it has two main “modes” Sun and Moon. Each mode has the same directives and core processor, but the probabilities of suggested actions being chosen are changed greatly between the two. For example, the probability of naptime and security directive actions being chosen are reduced greatly in Sun mode, and playtime and crafting directives are reduced in Moon mode. Meaning if the situation calls for it, the other mode can still access its counterparts directives, but in daily use the likelihood of those options being taken are so low they basically never happen. This was meant to be the only difference between the two modes, as with only one processor, there would essentially be only one animatronic in the body. But there was a bug that lead to the memories of the daycare attendant to be split. Now one thing to clarify, memories are considered sensory input, so they go directly to directive modules to aid in learning, but don’t necessarily need to pass through the main processor. However, the only way animatronics are able to consciously recall a memory is if a directive  suggests playing it to the main processor, and that can change its probability calculations. Now the bug Sun and Moon have prevents directives from replaying memories from their counterparts database, essentially preventing recall from an event that happens to them in the other mode. But, the individual directives still processed the memories as they happened regardless of mode (for psychology nerds Sun and Moon basically share implicit memories but don’t share explicit). Now if the daycare attendant were any other animatronic, they would probably be okay. Maybe have some memory issues but their directives are in sync so they would still be one animatronic, except both Sun and Moon are hyper aware of their individual thoughts/directives. Moon sometimes gets thoughts to yell and wake all the children he spent an hour trying to get to bed. Sun wakes up to suddenly have multiple thoughts about certain children needing punishment, except for Sun that child was fine for him. For both, the others memories and directives creates intrusive thoughts for the other, making it difficult to discern which thoughts and feelings belong to them, and which belong to the other. This made both start to develop distinct identities, to the point they consider the other a completely different AI (even though again, they only have one processor). Moon’s directives are far more dangerous compared to Sun’s so for him this has created massive anxiety and frustration. He is not only receiving thoughts and input that are not safe for when children are around, but he is also constantly second guessing himself, not knowing whether or not an action will cause unwanted harm. This makes Sun the incredibly nervous person we see. Moon in general is less scared of his counterpart’s interference, but the constant barrage of both his own and Sun’s thoughts is a lot to deal with. This leads to him being kind of a recluse and really quiet, earning the reputation as the plex cryptid from the other animatronics. He also has a major complex when it comes to comparing himself to Sun, being overly self deprecating and having a skewed viewpoint as to how Sun is like (since they don’t really ‘know’ each other very well). His overthinking is somewhat lessened when he becomes friends with Monty and forms a line of communication with Sun (essentially writing notes to each other constantly), but once Monty joins the main band and the virus starts affecting Moon, everything starts to go south. The virus is a directive, so technically it affects both Sun and Moon, however, the probability of “virus” directives being chosen is far higher for Moon than Sun (since it’s categorized as a security directive). Therefore we have both Sun constantly receiving these extremely distressing thoughts and Moon acting on these thoughts. Tldr, both Sun and Moon are extreme overthinkers who have intrusive thoughts, for Sun this causes anxiety, for Moon this causes depression.
Extra stuff:
Sun and Moon tend to get overwhelmed when they are in situations that activate their counterparts directives. For example darkness and conflict for Sun and bright lights and loud noises for Moon. This leads to them both avoiding these situations as often as possible (Sun being conflict avoidant and Moon preferring a nice dark quiet space to hide away in).
Staff are not sure what determines how aware an animatronic is of their own directives and write it off as a bug.
The virus very specifically targets instabilities in the animatronics programming, taking directives from the base processor and twisting them to be more violent and bad. Basically taking their worst personality traits and turning them against the animatronic. For example, for Moon it amplifies his negative thoughts about Sun, the other animatronics and himself, and suggests violent ways to deal with it. This is how they are able to amplify the probability of these violent actions from being chosen.

The last note is not all that accurate but fits as a kid-term for this, whatever this is...
Quick note: They do not live in the daycare anymore! They have a whole mansion with more then five floors as unlikely as it may sound right now to y'all.
I will also put some images I made myself in here, lazy edits that is-... I'll put a trigger warning before each of them if they contain triggering things/objects.
TW: blood/oil, implied violence.
Tumblr media
It was supposed to be just like any other day, chaos chaos and more chaos, it wasn't. The twins have been on a murder spree ever since a week ago, when they got into a argument with Eclipse, and now neither wants to see the other, Lunar has tried making them forgive each other. It failed miserably sadly as soon as the twins tackled Eclipse and ripped off half of his rays, an arm and half of his casing, which was so damaged his left eye stopped working, glitched out and turned off the moment he tried standing up on his own.
The twins were on their own, hunting down everyone they can while fitting right in with the human society, separating from each other and shape shifting(using the new nano machines) to look less like a robot during daylight, however, at night the chaos unleashes and they hunt everything and anyone they see on their way, and that is if they're a threat, if the threat doesn't move or attack back, they'll sometimes retreat and search for another one. They hungered for bloody fun and more to rip and tear at, while Bloody wanted to tear, Maim wanted to rip and rip and rip all of that sweet, human flesh...
.....
TW: Implied 'bullying', blood/oil, implied violence.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile Solar Flare and Lunar sat on the couch in Sun and Moon's room, whatever you prefer to call it. Lunar had been crying for hours on end for a simple yet dumb reason, even if he was smart, someone just had to make him feel bad, that's why Sun and Moon aren't here, they have a new target in mind..
Earth was on their best behavior nonetheless, sitting in their room and not noticing anything happening outside, having gotten a whole new remodeling of the said area, and everything was just like they imagined, less like a safety hazard too. While they did like the stars, they must be taken off the walls sooner or later, they're.... Very much a dangerous area itself...
......
While Sun was still somewhat of a clean freak still, he couldn't help but smile maliciously at how easily their job has been done, the single problem was those stupid minions still coming after them. While the both knew it was useless to waste their resources on this, they just had to! How could they let that little bastard get away with hurting their family? In no way will they, they'll never see the light of day again, the both made sure.
TW:Gun, blood/oil, implied deaths and violence
Tumblr media
Moon watched as Sun flexed his fingers on his gun before firing it while holding said gun backwards over his shoulder, sighing in what seems like annoyance. 'We're these people even gonna put up a fight already?! It's getting boring..' Sun thought while settling his gun back in it's spot on his waist band.
"Sun, come on, there's a lot more of them coming, and I don't have the patience to be here any longer." Moon blurted out to cover out the sudden alarms going off and sirens getting louder the closer they came, ah, one of them called the cops? So cute, such a bad attempt nonetheless though, they always had people to get them out of trouble. They always did.
"Fineee... But I'm blaming you for the loss of the knife!" Sun replied, sighing in exasperation, looking at Moon's persona just as dirty as his of the ungodly amount of blood and oil from their victims, the both took a breath in and then jumped, their newfound abilities including this, and then landed on the roof of the building, running off into the darkness of the night sky above them as the sirens got silenced by the air rushing around them.
.........
Tumblr media
Killcode stood at the kitchen table, baring his razor sharp teeth, holding his face with sharp tipped fingers and cold hands, sighing internally. How was he gonna solve this one?... It was obvious they had everything at the tip of their fingers, just, not the twins, and everyone is being risked because of the two going out and being so reckless, not even caring to hide themselves away before they get caught up into it.
He was so tired of this, he was exhausted, he just wanted to have some peace, even for a moment, truly so he would take the week off, but he didn't dare to, business is business and he has to keep it going, and he was reminded so again when he was interrupted from his thought by a loud clank and a (assumed) painful crash somewhere on the upper floors.
Killcode let out a shudder breath, pushing the chair back and standing up, stretching his limbs, reminded he should stop arching his back in such ways. He looked around once more before walking through the long hallways towards the stairways, which were a spiral-like model and fancy spirals and small, crescent moon-like shapes on the edges and railings.
Killcode soon stopped at what seemed to be the second(?)floor from down to up of the mansion, sseeing Sun and Moon have broken in their own house through the window, the biggest one too, glass all over the floor as Moon hanged upside down outside while Sun sat on he floor inside, rubbing at his rays, clearly having landed on the wrong side.
Well, it was a bit of a relief, what wasn't was the mess and now even more scared Lunar hiding behind the couch, Solar Flare just staring at the scene, obviously unable to do anything unless he is ordered to.
Killcode sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose and walking down the last few steps of the stairs, stepping into the room, a living room full of broken glass, a scared Lunar and a frozen Solar Flare, this house was so messy every hour of the day, it was first Eclipse a few weeks ago, now it's Sun, who's next? The twi-
Before Killcode could complete his thoughts another loud crash came from the other window on the side of the living room, the twins swinging inside as their claws held onto the walls before they landed on the floor, straightening up and looking at Killcode as if they've been caught red handed, and they have been this time for sure.
They stared right back at their father, obviously having been caught in the act, dropping their head low and standing still as a rock, rooted to the floor, knowing they'll most likely get grounded or punished, either were good, and neither was yelling or shouting, they prefer to be 'good' kids at least at something, but it was impossible when they're so, SO energetic after finally having gotten their meal.
Moon slipped through the window, straightening up and stretching before walking over to Sun ever so slowly, holding his hand out to his brother, who took it and stood up, the both looking at the BloodMoon twins before to Killcode who walked over to the couch, ignoring the mess of bloody oil or blood on the floor his kids made and avoiding the glass shards.
TW: blood and oil, darkness
Tumblr media
"Kid, calm down... It's all good, and safe..." Killcode sat on his knees at the side of the couch where Lunar was hiding, curling into himself, his small body shaking with every breath he took, whimpering as if anything was happening while the silence stretched on. He was still respecting Lunar if he didn't wanna be touched and if he would say so himself, not wanting to make this worse.
Sun and Moon whispered to themselves before nodding to each other, Sun stepping backwards and running off in the hallways, his foot steps getting silenced as he was immediately out of view, the darkness of the young night giving the illusion of that.
Moon stepped closer and sat down next to Killcode, opening his arms wide as Lunar raised his head to look at his brother, sniffing before tightly hugging Moon, seeming like Lunar likes Moon more then Killcode, it is fair as their father wasn't always the best himself, not that they minded him, it was just how busy he was, and they didn't judge him, but his absence to Lunar and possibly Earth was... Not helpful to make them cope with everything happening around themselves in this environment.
Moon patted Lunar's back, looking as Killcode soon left them alone, the twins nowhere in sight, probably left for their own arguments, Moon kept on humming, trying to calm his brother down, the oil and blood covering his persona not helping too much, but Lunar was either not bothered by it or just didn't see it if he didn't react to it yet.
...............
Hope you enjoyed this, it took me a bit with all the distractions and works and breaks, but I got it through as it's been sitting in my drafts for half of this week by now:'>
Please do point out any typos if you find some or any at all!

There are many benefits to being a marine herpetologist
This is my gift to @justanerdwithatablet as part of the DCA Secret Santa 2022! I was mostly inspired by a mix of: enemies to friends (speed-run edition), Unhinged Sun™, and hurt/comfort. Also, Song of a Siren Mer!AU by SolarRush (which I absolutely loved reading) herpetology/sea snakes, and the tumblr post by theaimfiles he reblogged which said “sharp canines and glowing eyes are top tier character design” (which is absolutely true)
Sorry about any errors, I tried to catch as many as I could but there still might be a couple hiding somewhere that I missed.
Here are the pronouns used: Sun: It/It’s in the beginning then they/them Moon: They/Them and He/Him Reader: He/Him  (I tried to use pronouns to show how connected to Sun and Moon the reader feels/how he feels like Sun is less like an animal later in the fic, I’m not sure if that shows through, but that’s what I intended)
If dialogue is in italics “like this” it means Sun or Moon are communicating telepathically.
I will also post this on AO3, if you would prefer to read it there
Without further ado, here is the fic, hope you enjoy!
Alright, just one more look around, then I’ll head back.” You tell yourself as you wade through the shallow ocean water. It’s been a long day of exploring these tide pools and cave systems, looking for the aquatic snakes you’re researching. Unfortunately you haven’t been able to find any today.
Suddenly, a glimmer of orange scales catches your attention. You turn and look into the cave entrance where you think you saw the end of a tail. The color was odd though, as far as you know none of the snakes or other aquatic reptiles in this area have such bright orange scales. The possibility of discovering a new species or color morph replaces your exhaustion from a hard day of exploring with determination. You crouch down, peering into the cave entrance. It’s one of the largest you’ve seen in this area, definitely big enough for you to fit into even with the proper diving and safety equipment.
At first you think your haste may have scared away the animal, but as you look deeper in the cave you see something glowing faintly. Something is looking back. Eyes, human eyes. Or mostly human, except for the lack of pupil and iris, and the lightly glowing milky sclera. The eyes are part of a similarly mostly-human face. The general shape looks human, but instead of skin it’s covered in small scales, yellow on the right and off-white on the left in the rough shape of a crescent moon. The nose looks very flat, mostly a small raised bump with two nostrils that seem to have flaps covering them while the creature is underwater.
You know you shouldn’t project human emotions onto non-human things, but this creature looks a lot more human than most, and it definitely looks scared.
The tense moment of eye contact swiftly breaks as the creature turns and dives smoothly into the cave. At least you get to see more of it as it flees. It definitely has a tail, and a massive one at that. It reminds you of a Naga, a mythical half-man half-snake creature you read about several years ago. Its tail is yellow-orange with splotches of red, but most concerning you notice several fresh wounds.
You stand frozen in shock for a few moments, you’re still struggling to process the last few seconds and figure out if you slept in today and are currently dreaming. Only one thing is clear in your mind: whatever that creature was, it was clearly injured.
Determined not to allow this strange being to suffer, you rush back to your base to gather the supplies you will need.
After gathering your med kit and the salmon you were planning on eating for dinner you made your way back to the cave entrance.
You gaze down into the cave and hold the salmon out in the water. You're hoping the smell of easy prey will lure the creature back out, and it accepts the salmon as a peace offering instead of deciding to eat you instead.
You search the dark waters for those mysterious glowing eyes, or a glimmer of warm scales. Unfortunately, the sun has started to set, making it even more difficult to see into the cave.
Thankfully, the darkness makes the glowing eyes even more apparent when the creature finally emerges a few minutes later.
You hold the salmon out as far away as you can, and try to keep your fingers tucked away. You’re only just realizing how potentially stupid this is. Then again, you never were one to think much about your own safety when others were in danger.
All you can see from the depths of the cave is the movement of the creature's eyes, which seem to be completely ignoring the fish. That's not a good sign.
If only you had brought your head light, you may have had more warning. You may have been able to see the great tail coiling into position, the slim but strong arms grabbing an outcropping of rock for leverage. You may have seen the triangular fins around the creature's face flare as it bares its sharp fangs.
Your weak human ears can not hear the warning hiss over the gentle ocean waves.
If only you had brought your head light.
In the split second it takes you to blink, the creature lunges from the depths of the caves. Your heart pounds in your chest and you sputter on salt water as you are instantly pinned by the hissing beast, its razor sharp fangs only inches from your vulnerable throat.
You stare into its pearlescent eyes, trying to determine your fate. As you process the shock of nearly being killed you are fully aware that if the creature wanted you dead you would not still be breathing. You try to calm yourself, and look as non-threatening as possible.
Slowly the hissing quiets, until it fades back into the sounds of the waves. Its jaw closes, but its teeth remain bared. The warning is quite clear: I won’t hurt you if you won’t hurt me.
You start to speak, but your voice cracks both from lingering fear and dryness from the salt water you accidentally swallowed.
“I-I don’t want to hurt you, I just want to help.” You try to keep your voice level and calm. You slowly bring your hand holding the salmon forward, taking care not to make any sudden movements.
“This is for you, I wasn’t sure if you could hunt with those slashes on your tail.” You know the creature probably can’t understand your words, but you’ve been working with animals for long enough to know most can at least understand tone.
Softly glowing eyes stare deeply into your own, they seem to see right to the core of you. Without breaking eye contact they grab the fish. Soft scaled fingers brush against your own, you can feel razor sharp claws carefully kept out of the way.
The moment breaks, and the creature's eyes snap down to the piece of fish as they snatch it away from you. They inspect the filet closely, looking at all sides and flicking their long forked tongue out to sniff at it. Finally, they seem to deem it safe and take a small bite. The fins on their head ripple and they make a sort of trilling sound, then they unhinge their jaw and swallow it whole.
With that distraction out of the way they focus on the med kit in your other hand. They tilt their head to the side, trying to figure out what the strange box is.
“It’s a med kit, I saw the wounds on your tail earlier and I think I can use the supplies in it to help you heal.” You use the same calm tone as before and gesture slowly to their wounds. They look at their tail, then back to the med kit, then up at you. They then look back between you and the med kit several times, as if waiting for you to do something.
A bit confused, you open up the kit, and allow them to look inside. They glide closer and inspect the contents of the kit, careful to not get any water inside. You can see their tongue up close as they sniff at the various supplies. It looks exactly like a sea snake tongue, except much, much larger than any you have seen. Of course, you’re never seen one attached to a human sized snake before either, so it was probably proportional.
They seemed satisfied after a few moments of sniffing and examining, and closed the kit. They then took it from you and carefully held the handle between their jaws.
“Wait! I don’t think you know how to use - ah!” Suddenly the creature reached out and grabbed you as well, thankfully not with their jaws this time.
“What are you - ?!” Before you can finish the creature hugs you against their chest and dives into the water.
Fortunately, they resurface quickly and you gasp in air instinctively. You struggle to free yourself, but the creature's hold is much too strong. You try to kick back behind you, but their tail easily dodges out of the way.
The creature lowers back towards the surface and you quickly fill your lungs, hoping you’ll have enough oxygen to last until they resurface. They dive down, the only thing you can see is the cave entrance growing closer before you must close your eyes against the burning of the salt water. You can feel the smooth scales of the creature's stomach pressing against your back, and it's easy to feel the power within the muscles just below those scales.
After a panic filled minute you finally emerge. You wipe the salt from your eyes and look around, determining the creature took you to an air filled section deeper in the cave system. They gently set you down on a smooth rock ledge then clumsily shimmy out of the water to join you. You're so distracted by your lingering adrenaline and the somewhat ridiculous sight you don't even notice you're not alone.
Without the ocean waves to disguise the warning hiss, it is easy to hear this time. It is deeper than before, and comes not from the creature in front of you, but from behind.
You rapidly turn, and see a second creature. This one looks similar to the first, but is all blues and blacks with spots of yellow on their tail instead of oranges and reds. They also lack the triangular head fins of the other creature, and instead seem to have some kind of tattered hat. They are also covered in wounds, and seem extremely weak.
They attempt to rear up and bear their fangs, but stumble and hiss in pain. The orange one immediately rushes to their side, seeming to try to comfort them.
“Why did you bring a human here?!” You gasp in surprise as a low, rasping voice fills your mind.
“Because he can help you, he has supplies, look!” A higher voice this time, it somehow reminds you of woodwind instruments. The orange creature holds out the med kit, the blue one glares and hisses at it. You decide you should probably try to help, you don't want his condition to deteriorate any further.
“They're right, I just want to help you.” You try to sound as reassuring as possible.
“He can, understand us?” Asks the blue one, he does not seem happy about this development.
“I…may have connected with him earlier…” The orange one seems a bit sheepish as they admit this.
“You… WHAT?”
“I needed to see if he was trustworthy, and he is! We need his help Moon, you know you won’t last much longer, especially if infection catches...”  They look deep into the others eyes, trying to make him understand. “You're all I have left brother, I can't lose you too.”
The blue one, presumably Moon, looks away with a hiss. He turns his attention to you. In only a few seconds he has you pinned, his bared fangs barely an inch from your nose. For the second time today inhuman eyes stare deeply into your own. The sclera in his right eye is pearlescent white like his brothers, but his left is pitch black. His pupils are glowing red slits. After what seems like an eternity, he looks away.
“Fine. But if he betrays us, I'm blaming you.” The orange creature seems to grin at this, or they could be baring their fangs again. It's hard to tell with all the teeth.
“Good! I suppose introductions are in order then. My name is Sun, and this is my brother Moon.”
I hope you enjoyed reading and have a lovely day, - AJ

Genuine question, what do you consider to be a non-ableist depiction of Sun and Moon? I just think there has been a lot of "this is bad" "don't do this that demonizes them" "actually don't do that either that's romanticization" and I'm just confused on what you believe is a positive way to depict them? They are also one of the "bad guys" in SB or at least Moon attacks Gregory so that further confuses on how to depict a "good rep" DCA? Or can you depict them as "good rep" at all while IC?
hoookay, this is a tough one to answer. it's important, though, so thank you for asking it! and fair warning that i spent like, three hours writing up the original reply to this only for tumblr to crash and delete all of it so here is the reconstructed answer (comes with added salty flavour from all the tears). with that out of the way:
no, i don't think it's possible -- like, the dca is a caricature. it just is. no matter how you feel about it, whether they're your blorbo or comfort character or fictional s/o or fave character or whatever -- the foundation of their character is a historic ableist stereotype, one that continues to pervade the public consciousness to this day, and one that almost always exists without challenge. the foundation of his character is rotten, and we cannot change that. and that is okay. it is okay to like something that is Bad. it's part of being human, and kind of inevitable in a genre like this; it doesn't make you a bad person.
(i'm of the opinion that a refusal to acknowledge this origin at all -- despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary, including from official sources; do you think funko described them as having a "split personality" by accident? -- and getting violently upset when confronted with it is what makes you so, but that's another topic entirely)
the thing that i have been trying so hard to convey to people is that b/amsara (and similar portrayals, of which there are many) take that kind-of-bad and elevate it to Bad by making the point of horror -- the thing that makes the dca scary -- be their system-like behaviours, fixating on their instability, etc etc. when canon, uh, isn't like that?
like, think back to the daycare scene. how is it constructed? what is it that makes the dca scary? well, first you're introduced to the daycare -- cheery theme music, "slide into fun!", a world full of colour and an overly-enthusiastic host. when the lights go out, this children's sanctuary -- a place that is meant to be safe, to be happy -- is perverted, distorted into a world capable of something much, much darker. when the dca transforms, it isn't scary because he is a system experiencing a shift; it's scary because of this perversion, because it rips safety away from you, because it takes familiar imagery and turns it into something dangerous. moon's intentions are as opaque as the shadows he swims in, and it is as you wade through that dark, unsure of where to go, unsure of what he will do to you, unsure of where he could be, unsure of friend or foe -- that is when you get scared. and it's that distortion of normal reality in conjunction with the terrifying unknown that is foundational to the way fnaf unsettles you, and the horror genre as a whole. the dca isn't scary because they're experiencing abnormal identity states, they're scary because they're a childcare worker with chloroform. to write in even more system traits than they do in canon just to make them scary/sexy (even if subconscious, which i do think is what it is) is just making an already bad situation worse.
it's okay for something to be "bad rep", and entirely possible to reclaim it. however, b/amsara and other such portrayals do not reclaim the dca, but rather perpetuate the worst parts of it (and in the process reveal uncomfortable truths about the fandom, and society as a whole). good "bad rep" is when the people being represented get to have a seat at the table and have fun alongside everyone else, and -- after everything that happened -- i think we can pretty safely say that that's not what's happening here.
the dca is never gonna be good rep, or even positive rep. but it can be neutral rep, and i don't think that's a lot to ask for. as for "how?", that's pretty simple: learn. know what you're writing, know what you shouldn't touch, practice your craft and never forget to set those seats at the table. i can't give any more specific advice than that, both because it isn't (and shouldn't be) up to me to fix everything for everyone, and because each individual's portrayal is gonna be different -- kinda hard to tailor advice when i don't even know what i'm advising for, yknow? similarly, i can't exactly say what i'd do differently, but i can say that a solid understanding of media analysis does a lot for improving your own work. beyond that, it's just a matter of accepting that you're working on rotten foundations and not pouring more water onto it.
i hope this helped clarify things a little, and sorry again for the wait!

I guess I should probably explain some of the organisations hierarchically parallel to the IUC (the organisation that Adrian- and later, Lyanni- works for) in Children of the Stars.
Also forewarning, this is a slight worldbuilding dump so... Be warned.
For reference, the IUC (Imperial Upliftment corps) is a branch of the Empire's Ministry of Colonial Affairs (MCA) that gets assigned to any worlds with intelligent primitive life in order to uplift them to the galactic entrance standard, which entails FTL capability, the capability of becoming a Kardashev 1 society within thirty standard years, a development index of around 0.78 (based off an improved version of the 21st century's HDI) and a stable unified* government to take them into the space age. This is done with the purpose of freeing up military garrisons defending these worlds for the warfront by giving these worlds the power to fend for themselves.
*The definition of what counts as "unified" tends to be quite flexible and situational. Mostly, the IUC praetors assigned to a planet will decide what kind of government system will work best for their current ward. As long as the species will not begin infighting and will not stand divided, loosely united governments like those of humanity are sometimes permitted, but are mostly discouraged
DeSRec (Deep-space Surveyance and Reconnaissance Corps): the main focus of the ministry's spending, DeSRec's job is to assemble and conduct expeditions to unmapped star systems to assess what worth they might hold to the Empire- be it tourism possibility, or mineral/agricultural weapth, or even precursor sites that can be delved for (hopefully) ancient technologies which may benefit humanity and the Coalition as a whole, not just the Empire.
DAA (Department of Anomalous Affairs): living on one planet your whole life, that which might be considered "supernatural" does not occur too often. However, on a galactic scale it becomes apparent that the universe has quite the tendency to break her own laws. The DAA exists to research these anomalies and determine firstly the safety of the phenomenon and ways to contain/defend against it if necessary, and secondly it exists to research whether the phenomenon is truly anomalous in nature or just misunderstood quirk of natural laws, and finally the determine if the event might serve some purpose to the Coalition (The Physics Warp fields integral to technologies like stasis, propulsion/dampening fields, and FTL bubbles were originally discovered by the DAA's scientists)
XARR (Department of Xeno-Archeological Research and Recovery): Quite simply, if ancient precursor ruins are found (before the modern races dominated the galaxy, there was another group altogether. No one knows what happened to them, but the technology they left behind may as well be magic for how little is understood about how it works), XARR sends specialists to chart the ruins and begin excavating and attempting to reverse engineer technology, and if need be, pacify whatever angry guard dog of a machine was left behind. If the situation permits, they also try to learn more about the precursors themselves, but the problem with studying a culture that died out while your own species hadn't even figured out the art of throwing rocks at things to kill them yet is that there's no common overlap for information.
ANNI (Department of Astronautical Navigation and Navigational infrastructure): They follow close behind DeSRec expeditions and are responsible for plotting FTL corridors, setting up gates at either end of the planned corridors to 'catch' and 'fling' ships across the void between stars, and maintain these routes until a civilized presence can make an appearance to maintain it themselves.
DCA (Department of Colonial Administration): nothing interesting here. These guys are just responsible for the organisational logistics of the Ministry.
CD Civ-Sec (Civil Security: Colonial Defense branch) [Sometimes called the 'Collies' by the rest of Civil Security]: Civil Security is an organisation which permeates much of civilian Imperial society, functioning as a mixture of an incredibly militarized police force and the first line of defense if a planet is attacked. Officially, all branches of Civ-Sec fall under the Ministry of Internal Security, however they also fall under whatever ministry they work for. The Colonial Defense Branch is deployed to protect fledgling human colonies from pirates, wildlife and crime, but also serves on IUC prime worlds (planets assigned to the IUC) as a military force should it become necessary to more directly intervene in a escalating situation that the Praetors have lost control of. They are also known to be some of the toughest members of civil security because of what they make through on a daily basis, on par with only the Coreworld Defense Branch.
AILPC (Auto-Industrial Logistics and planetary Pre-preparatory Corps): With the advent of Nano Welders and Nano Forges, the need for massive teams of engineers in the construction of factories dwindled, cutting operations of formerly hundreds if not thousands of engineers and workers down to at most four. This change in requirements, and the substantial boost to the speed with which sprawling industrial complexes could be brought into existence created the AILPC. Any planet deemed fit for Agriculture, industry or mining would have a small fleet stationed around it, and teams of four people would be sent down to each pre-marked region to slowly convert a world in its entirety to be ready for production once colonists arrive. If you've ever played Satisfactory or Factorio, that's more-or-less their job.
DCP (Department of Colonial Propaganda): these are the guys who try to get people to pack up and move to the new colonies with shiny promises of a better future.

timeline
just like with our plot, our timeline comes with a lot of detail and information, so it will be under the cut. we urge you guys to go through this, because it features a lot of information on how our plot developed from the past to present and plays further into the political intrigue we’ve developed on site. we really hope you like it!
now, for reference, please keep in mind that when we open we will be running with the same time as it currently is, which is to say that it will be september of 2020 on site at open. thanks!
2005
TYPE-O FEBRUARY 7TH 2005
monday’s are supposed to be ordinary things—that tired day of the week you’re never quite ready for; waking up roughly after a late sunday night, yelling at slow drivers on your way to work, your morning spent on the toilet using up company time. but by the evening of that fateful monday, the world had changed.
with the leaked release of type-o research work, a synthesized blood product made to satisfy the hunger of vampires, word spread across the internet. many asked, could this be real? while others scoffed at the notion.
but on fox news that evening, one vampire came forward, the supernatural world’s first whistle-bowler. through his existence, the world learned of all the monsters lingering in the night.
THE WHISTLE-BLOWER'S DEMISE FEBRUARY 8TH 2005
the cops find him lying face down in a storm ditch, his body marred with sunlight burns, making him almost unrecognizable. almost. his face in the past 24 hours had been plastered on every news outlet in the country. this was the supernatural whistle-blower, and someone had taken swift vengeance.
THE MONTGOMERY PROTEST FEBRUARY 9TH 2005
before the white columns of the alabama state capitol, the first ever protest against the supernaturals erupts, with violence springing up as the sky grows darker.
THE FANG CLASHES STARTS FEBRUARY 10TH 2005
in response to the show in alabama, the supernaturals flood the streets of nyc. they hold up signs, all mirroring the same pair of fangs, in remembrance of their whistle-blower. inspired by the images coming out of the big apple, pro-supernatural rallies soon spring up in other major cities. humans flood the streets in equal response, refusing to let these supernatural voices be heard. violence breaks out by the second night, as cars are set alight and windows smashed. everywhere signs of fangs and messages of damnation can be seen.
later, these long protests and counter-protests are named the fang clashes, for the banner the supernaturals align under.
THE BUNKER MEETING FEBRUARY 12TH 2005
with violent protests occurring throughout most of the u.s., the government sends out the national guard.
deep in a bunker in the white house, the president meets with representatives of type-o and a small number of cabinet officials. nobody knows the content of the meeting—if any bargains or threats are made—but a few weeks after, the government comes out with official details of all known species.
AASF ESTABLISHED MARCH 2005
on the back of wide-scale protests in the state, humans band together and establish the alabamians against supernaturals force (AASF). their aim—to protect their state from supernaturals and keep humans safe. the groups numbers swell overnight, and vigilante justice sweeps the state. many supernaturals and non-supernaturals end up getting hurt in the terror that follows.
the groups success leads to other states forming vigilante groups of their own.
WALKER MURDERS SEPTEMBER 12TH 2005
on the morning of september 12th, the AASF leaders, edward and julia walker are found dead in their beds. no immediate cause of death is revealed, and so blame is immediately thrust upon the supernaturals. four days later, the autopsy comes back, revealing they were murdered by a witches’ curse. having stayed relatively under the radar, the witch community now comes under fire from anti groups.
TITLE 18 UPDATE SEPTEMBER 25TH 2005
in response to the walker murders, the government addresses the criminal activities of creatures. title 18 of the united states code is updated, and new chapters are added, outlawing such things as dangerous curses, necromancy, fey pacts, drinking from humans without consent, and turning humans into therians.
PFHL ESTABLISHED OCTOBER 2005
fresh off the clampdown of magical activity, the humans establish a political force, the party for human lives. lobbying the republican party, they ask for increased rights for humans to defend themselves against supernaturals, as well as supporting the oppression of supernaturals.
DCA ESTABLISHED DECEMBER 2005
after months of protests, a branch of the democratic party come out in support of supernatural creatures. they are ousted from their political party, but quickly form the democratic-creature alliance. they begin to work on ways to gain protections for supernaturals. hours after the formation of the group, the democratic party denounces them.
2006
THE BEING LIST JANUARY 1ST 2006
on the first day of the new year, the government announces a system, named the being list. all supernaturals are required to sign up, providing details of their powers and identification through photographs, fingerprints, and blood. any failure to sign up to the program results in jail-time. processing stations are set up across the country, as well as police taskforces to track down any supernaturals disobeying the program. with this new system, the fang clashes end.
however, many supernaturals feel unfairly prosecuted, and peaceful sit-in protests occur in larger cities. these protests are quickly disbanded by the police, and the supernaturals are taken to be processed against their will.
THE SANCTUARY JANUARY 4TH 2006
in new orleans, a city with a more tolerant attitude towards supernaturals due to its history with them and rich diversity of supernatural inhabitants, some of the city’s therian population establish a safe house. feeling affronted by the list, they aim to ferry people from elsewhere in the country and bring them to the safety of nola. they want to make a home for themselves, somewhere they might stay safe from the prosecution seemingly everywhere.
THE ANNIVERSARY MASSACRES FEBRUARY 8TH - 14TH 2006
leading up to the first anniversary, flyers for protests and counter-protests are handed out, and the events bring huge crowds to the cities. small scale clashes erupt between the two groups, but overall, the night goes on without any major blows.
on the morning of the 9th, the bodies of many supernaturals are found across the country. at first, many think the various vigilante groups had started the wave of murderous violence, but the groups soon protest their innocence. later, it becomes clear all the bodies have one thing in common—all are branded with twin pistols. the mark of hunters.
the killings continue in waves up until the 14th, where on valentine’s day the largest number of supernaturals are wiped out in a single day. never before had the hunter's managed to target them on this scale, and the supernaturals wonder how they managed to find everyone. quickly, their attention turns to the being list.
days later, the government finally admits that their database had been hacked.
THE GATHERINGS STARTED LATE FEBRUARY 2006
facing persecution from the government, as well as the threat of being hunted down, the fight for supernatural rights soon leaves the streets. instead, communities gather in houses, discussing ways to ensure their safety and survival, as well as to debate on suitable methods of self-defense. with the resistance underground, alliances start to deepen between the various species, while others only widen.
NEW ORLEANS RUSH MARCH 2ND 2006
with a supportive and sympathetic human populous, and one of the largest communities of supernaturals already established in the country, the mayor of new orleans proclaims the city as a pro-supernatural haven. he urges supernaturals to make their way to the city, to the arms of more tolerant friends. in response, there's a large influx of supernaturals to new orleans, and soon hunters follow in their wake.
FELLOWSHIP OF ALL BEINGS OCTOBER 31ST 2006
but, the more tolerant humans of NOLA don't take kindly to the anti-supernatural groups that attempt to rise in the wake of the supernatural rush. in response, the fellowship of all beings comes together; a group with the aim to promote free love of all beings and establish themselves as supportive allies of supernatural beings.
the first pro-supernatural march happens in new orleans on halloween, with many humans and supernaturals in attendance.
2007
THE CENTRAL CITY CLASHES JUNE 4TH - MAY 9TH 2007
in NOLA, the vampires and therians start to dispute territories. this leads to a series of midnight clashes between the two species, with much blood being spilled on the streets. after many evenings of violence breaking out, the police department warn that if disruption continues, they will bring in hunters.
while the threat prevents further outright violence, a slow burning war between the two species takes hold.
HUNTER PROTECTION MANDATE JULY 10TH 2007
taking inspiration from the new orleans police department, the government enacts a mandate; every police department in the country will be assigned a hunter, while largest police departments will have entire hunter task forces at their disposal.
THE BLOOD MOON PROTEST AUGUST 28TH 2007
under the total lunar eclipse, across the nation the therians launch a series of publicity stunts against the mandate. in the minutes while the world turns dark, they paint their luminary symbol on walls and roads, lay down signs on capitol lawns listing their demands, and bomb newly established hunter offices within police departments. in response, the government labels the blood moon party as terrorists.
2008
OPERATION CHANGELING STARTED JANUARY 12TH - APRIL 27TH 2008
with supernatural rights group largely underground and unknown, the fbi launches an operation to infiltrate pro-supernatural groups and take down the leaders of the movements. many agents of the task-force are sent into new orleans, a known hub of pro-supernatural activity, as new members of the fellowship of all beings.
over the next three months, 12 of the 15 agents vanish, before finally the agency pulls the mission.
BLOOD TYPES OCTOBER 31ST 2008
during the annual halloween fab parade, some vampires are seen exchanging vials of blood. most assume they are trading the vials of synthetic type-o blood, but rumors of vampires on blood highs start to circle, the underworld steps in to squash these rumors, but the exposure leads to other dark beings becoming involved in the underworld's dark market.
2009
THE MOREAU KIDNAPPING APRIL 26TH 2009
making waves in the back halls of government, the DCA develops the first pro-supernatural bill. the bill’s architect, lawyer and merrow activist, melusina moreau, establishes herself as a force for change. but, her work is cut short when she mysteriously disappears from her d.c. home on april 26th 2009.
two weeks later, parcels of her remains are sent to other DCA leading members, demanding them to stop the work they are doing on the bill. without their architect and the heart of their cause, as well as being afraid for their own lives, the DCA halt work on the bill.
2011
THE NIGHT OF WITCHES NOVEMBER 5TH 2011
on the night of november 5th, the hunter police forces raid 37 witch covens across the states. in a press release, they state the raids are to prevent illegal witch activity. after, some covens are forced to disband, while some witches are prosecuted for illegal magic use, without fair trial.
THE SALEM PROTESTS NOVEMBER 7TH 2011
with the brutality the police had treated the witches with, many are reminded of the barbaric practices of the salem trials. angry their brothers and sisters have been punished unfairly, the witches return to the salem village parsonage. there they protest, spending the night chanting and burning effigies of hunters over the stake.
2012
OPERATION GARGOYLE STARTS FEBRUARY 8TH 2012
six years on from the type-o reveal, the cia commences operation gargoyle; a research project looking into the biological differences between humans and supernaturals. the greenfield lab is established, and starts research on the vials of blood collected from the being list.
2014
MHC MARCH 2014
wanting to continue to work on the supernatural protection bill, a group of supernaturals split off from the DCA and form their own group—the mythic humanoids committee (MHC). made up of lawyers and politicians, the committee start to work on old drafts of moreau's bill and start to lobby key government figures. they make alliances with both the DCA and the democratic party.
2017
SUPERNATURAL BEING PROTECTION ACT 2017 OCTOBER 21ST 2017
after years of turmoil, the supernatural being protection act is finally passed. the act represents the first time supernaturals are given the right to citizenship as well as protection under civil liberties. but many argued this is only the start of a lengthy process; with their privacy still disregarded by the being list and the lack of credible trials, supernaturals will still be treated harmfully by the government.
THE DC RIOTS OCTOBER 22ND 2017
following the passing of the act, anti-supernatural groups converge on capitol hill to protest against the increased rights. over the next few days, more people pour in from all over the country, leading to one of the biggest mass protests in the country’s history.
2019
JACKSON SQUARE TREATIES AUGUST 5TH - AUGUST 8TH 2019
following years of tensions between the supernatural species, the mayor of nola invites representatives of the various groups to meet in jackson square. after a few nights of peace-making revelry, the groups agree to a shaky truce, preventing more blood from being shed on the city’s streets. but many criticize this, doubting how long such a truce can last.
2020
FAB ATTACKS FEBRUARY 8TH 2020
peace seemed to be on the horizon, but that streak of hope fades when the fellowship’s main office is attacked. in the middle of the day, with the building heaving with social workers and supernaturals, gunfire erupts throughout the building. 41 individuals lose their lives in the attack on the office, with many more injured.
in the wake, nobody comes forth to claim responsibility for the attack, but a letter is delivered to the mayor’s office. one that requests the city to cease its supernatural loving agenda, or face the streets being turned red with blood.

DCA Latest Expect Cancer Cure
Every year brings wish for dca for cancer treatment for the media forefront and also this year began with a bang. An element that was previously used in a metabolic disorder was tested on cultured human cancer cell lines in the Petri dish and mice with cancer and had very promising results. The above mentioned paragraph has probably been stated annually for the past 30 years. First of all, do not expect your physician to be prescribing this product anytime soon, just one experiment with mice is only the beginning of years of testing. Anyone that suggests it is going to help you soon is irresponsible or a con artist. Unfortunately terminally ill cancer patients do not have this time and will also be getting their hopes in vain, this happens every year when cancer research causes it to be to the mainstream news programs.
Tumblr media
The substance is DCA or dichloroacetate as well as the study that tested it in cultured cancer cells and mice just arrived on the scene in January of 2007 in a respectable scientific journal by a respectable lab in Alberta, Canada headed by Evangelos D. Michelakis. So just why all the fuss ? It's years away from helping humans even just in the best case scenario? Yes, probably, but it does raise a couple of ethical debates and hopeful issues. DCA was already tested in people suffering from other diseases (adults and children), so we know already it is a reasonably safe drug to some extent. This can potentially save many years of clinical studies and safety hurdles than if DCA was obviously a completely new drug. So optimistically within 1 to 2 years it'll begin limited clinical tests within people. This is extremely optimistic because funds are an issue with this drug. The medical treatment is so cheap to create that drug companies will not make money using it (it wouldn't be patented too, that makes it harder for drug companies to generate money) and it has the possibility to reduce the consumption of current expensive chemotherapies if successful. In other words, the drug companies will not be funding the study to make it to promote, and most people can probably reckon that it takes a ba-zillion dollars to invest in the research. This raises a moral debate for drug companies from the public, that being, will they hinder progression of helpful drugs if it does not help as well as hinder their main point here? This drug also raises another ethical question . Why not give it to cancer patients clinically determined to have a few months to live? There are potentially 1000s of patients that have gone through chemotherapy and reached the stage where chemotherapy is no longer useful and they are taken off it to die weeks later. There would be no shortage of people ready to sign a waiver to adopt DCA today. Just how can a doctor tell a crictally ill cancer patient by incorporating weeks or months to reside that they will not prescribe DCA because it's potentially unsafe or lacks the proper administrative approval or hasn't been shown to conclusively assist in enough formal studies? Well, most doctors won't claim that but they will say their hospital or governing medical association is not going to let them. These faceless administrations can hide and delay your requests for DCA till you die of old age, let alone cancer no one will be blamed. Essentially they may be telling their patients to stop fighting cancer and simply accept their death shortly, sorry, it's a cold approach to put it, but it is hard to place a good spin onto it. It's not how the doctors usually do not care, it is just the accepted way stuff has been for decades. Unfortunately, currently terminal ill cancer patients removed chemotherapy for them to die using some months have to rely on themselves, household and caretakers at this time. This is now forcing many non-healthcare workers to search out DCA on their own. Stuffed to see untrained civilians taking over cancer therapy duties however it is going to happen with this drug as it can be taken orally in a glass water and is inexpensive When you get your hands on it. You can not buy it in the corner store however i predict with great demand it will find a way to decide to some con artist may even make fake DCA to offer them undoubtedly. Who would of thought a tiny molecule may have raised debates about the business of healthcare, political healthcare administrations and the ethical treatment of terminally ill people.
