If you ever wondered what the best living vertebrate is, it’s the alligator gar in my totally not biased 100% scientifically backed opinion. They are just a flawless creature. Nothing wrong with them. Good tooth to snoot ratio, they have a winning smile.

They and other monster fish absolutely should NOT be in the hands of most private keepers at all and I do NOT support morph breeding of them because of that, but pretty fishy cute :c

I am absolutely in love with the interpretation that over time Artificer's grief has turned into just bloodlust. That it stopped being about her kids a long time ago.

She can't stop chasing the blood, the adrenaline. She's too consumed with the very feeling of hatred, the very feeling of violence.

Day 2376: The ranchers head west towards the coast. They take a break in the outskirts of a small town, overrun not by zombies but by feral plants and animals.

The one thing I like about spring is the bright flowers contrast against the dreary grey everything else.

The 3.74 meter reticulated python is finally finished, I am extremely proud, I feel like a peacock

There were probably more than a thousand pieces and I still have a 2.5 meter burmese degreasing and two other snakes in the freezer waiting to be cleaned and articulated

I couldn’t find any info on mourningsbane (is it a plant you created for the story?) buutttt I do know that lilies are poisonous to cats, which is just casually growing in the healer’s den… hmmm suspicious. As for why Tanglefern would (theoretically) do this? I have no clue! Bearface and Honeyspring were friends, but that’s about as much as I know! Maybe his biggest mistake was killing Honeyspring too early

Mourningsbane (and its partner, Clottingroot, was created for the story! Mourningsbane itself, though resembling lilies, is not a true lily. It's actually in the Veratrum genus and contains veratridine and 2-Deoxyjervine.

Clottingroot is a flowering plant that heavily mimics Mourningsbane to deter predation. It's called Clottingroot by the clans because its roots are gathered, crushed, and rubbed into moss to encourage blood clotting.

It's an easy mistake to make, isn't it?

Krøyer's deep sea anglerfish!

The largest of the deep sea anglerfishes, females typically reach 77 cm (30.3 inches) but are able to grow up to 120 cm (47 inches)! Free-living males only hit 1.3 cm (0.5 inches), but upon attaching to a female and fusing onto her side, a mature male can grow in size to 16 cm (6.3 inches).
