hi besties its me with another hc list <3  Anyway here’s Mr. Chef (OP) Bryce himself DSAFEG

To me, he’s basically the most positive and optimistic one. Realistically speaking, of course, but still tries to keep everyone in good spirits.

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Cooking Granny and him were biologically related? Either way, he always admired her and looked up to her. 

So he feels extremely guilty about it and does not like talking about it (or even hearing news about how she’s doing now. It would make him pretty depressed)

One of the few people who likes both Reggie and Jeremiah. He has no ill will towards both of them. 

They did provide a cooking job and shelter for him. Even if it was for the plan, the fact that they did it made him really appreciate it. 

Him and Reggie tend to not take their “Boss/worker dynamic” seriously and even joke about it (“What do I pay you for?” “Hah! You’re not paying me!”)

He honestly sees Reggie as a semi grandpa figure but the kind that tends to be stubborn, a bit old fashioned yet still has a good sense of humor

Jeremiah, while distant and cold, still treats Bryce with respect and offers help when he can (mostly cleaning up the kitchen, even when Bryce insists he can do it by himself)

I am a chandrelle and Bryce bestie supporter. These two understand each other pretty well and honestly? Bryce is one of the few people she would trust with anything (other than Lazarus)

He likes to teach her baking and stuff to ease her clear anger issues and to get to know her better

To repeat from Weasel’s list: Him and Bryce get along fine! I think Byrce feels bad for the kid and wants to help him out. At the very least, he wants to try and set a good example for him. Unfortunately, this is Super goddamn Weasel Kid and he can be just as stubborn as Lionel.

And again, Weasel is banned from the kitchen. Byrce kept noticing certain stuff being stolen and it all lead back to him

Oh to talk briefly about this: Bryce absolutely has the authority to ban people from the kitchen. Since everything, it is his kitchen and his rules there. Unless you want to face the wrath of an annoyed chief, then you will be banned from entering (unless emergencies of course)

Fucking he even banned Reginald from his own kitchen for a week because the old guy is stubborn and not that great of a cook but constantly denies it (just imagining him wheeling a very pissed off Reggie out of his own kitchen after Reggie kept fucking with Bryce’s stuff)

Since he’s besties with Chandrelle, he tries his best to get along with Lazarus too. It’s a bit uncomfortable because Lazarus is not good with getting along with new people, but they manage. 

Bryce was very distrustful of him (and Rust too) due to how he looks and apparent war stories, but honestly? He realized he’s a sweetheart. 

Although he still hates fighting, he does like to train with Lazarus from time to time. It gives a good workout and Lazarus is a decent conversationalist.

While he enjoys Lazarus’s company, He does not trust him with any type of cooking because good lord it’s awful (i’ll explain more when we get to Lazarus)

He is so worried about Rust. Rust is someone who is awful at taking care of himself, so Bryce makes it his duty to remind Rust to eat every once in a while

Bryce used to think he’s a freak and weird old guy who probably killed people (that part is true). But when Rust finally told people about what happened to him, Bryce instantly felt awful.

He even apologized to Rust for being kind of mean to him during the whole murder thing was going on 

FPP and Bryce are also besties!! I think Bryce would teach FPP some cooking and baking skills while FPP would teach Bryce about some new art techniques they found (I wont get into it too much but I hc FPP getting into making art and stuff)

Bryce does have a bit of a temper. Not too bad and he has found ways to manage it very well, but on bad days, it can be hard to contain it. He had one even before his fighting days, but being a fighter did make it worse

It especially comes out when he’s arguing with someone, sometimes he’ll be composed, but sometimes he’ll yell back. One time he punched someone and felt super guilty about it. 

He’s actually pretty protective of his new found family. He already lost a family member when he punched granny and the possible friends he could have made during Combat Arena X. These guys are the closest he’ll ever get to having people who get it. He does not want to lose that.

Overall, he’s pretty much the optimistic and ‘normal’ one in this weird family. Although he has a small temper and can be distrustful of people, he is always there for them and will throw hands if necessary to ensure everyone is safe. 

AY I GOT ONE MORE: Bryce is a very hugs type of a guy and yet forgets that he’s pretty strong. So sometimes if hes really happy or excited, he’ll hug one of them and almost break their back by accident HWHSBW

hey!! i actually haven’t written any puppy leon yet lol!! he’s been called puppy a number of times but like literally look at that man. he is doggo. he beloved sweet animal that deserves to be pet and loved!!

i don’t tend to write aftercare scenes but i can def do that!! i’ll do one for reader receiving aftercare and one for leon receiving aftercare, because subs and doms both need it!! <3

reader receiving:

leon gently rests you against the bed, pressing a sweet kiss to your temple as he grabs a towel to wipe off any messy fluids really quickly and grabbing you what wet you need before cuddling obvi!!

“sweetheart, you don’t have to—” you mumble to him, but he shushes you.

“no way, i’m going to take care of you, okay? just relax,” he says back, softly. his voice is always it’s most gentle in these moments, “do you need anything? water? a snack?”

“…could use some water,” you say as you hold onto him arm, which leaves him in a bit of a pickle.

“gonna need you to let go of me if i gotta grab water for you, honey,” he tries to convince you to let him go, laughing endearingly as you shake your head, “no? i can’t go?”

“no…”

“baby, i gotta go, i swear that i’ll be right back,” he pulls himself away before quickly retrieving you a bottle of water. it takes him merely 20 seconds, and it feels agonizing.

when he returns, he leaves it on the nightstand for you, and smiles when you drink it as he cleans you up, “good, glad you’re drinking it. that was exhausting.”

“i know…” you breathe as you put the cap back on the bottle, “you feeling fine?”

“don’t worry about me, sweetie, i just wanna care for you. you do so much for me, and i gotta return the favor,” as he finishes, he curls up in bed next to you, holding you close to him, “wouldn’t trade ya for the world. you’re my everything,” he mumbles softly, pressing his cheek against the crown of your head as he holds you.

“even when i’m being mean to you? i feel like i took it too far today…” you ask, almost insecurely. he takes the opportunity to give reassurance.

“hey, hey, i’m okay. i feel good. i would have told you if you took it too far, but i didn’t. so you’re just gonna have to trust me, okay?” he says, and you nod, “okay, good. besides, i like you when you’re mean,” he laughs.

“oh yeah?” you ask, raising an eyebrow.

“yeah, you’re really hot when you talk down to me.”

“oh my god, don’t say that shit, leon. i’ll get horny again…”

reader giving:

“hey, sweetheart… that’s it, nice and easy,” you say to him, touching his face to try and bring his mind back to reality. he’s too deep in subspace to do much right now, but he lets you hold him and whisper sweet things to him to bring him back.

so you keep talking to him like this, “you’re okay, you’re okay. you’re doing wonderful,” your words are absorbed up into him like he’s a sponge, taking in your praise, “you’re so good, baby. you’re doing so well, so proud of you. you think you can talk for me?”

he makes a hum, a sound of acknowledgment.

“can you tell me if you’re okay?” you ask, always feeling the nerves in your stomach even though you’re sure he’s gonna say he’s fine.

“uhh.. ‘m okay…” he mumbles, eyes closed like he’s sleepy, “wanna hold you…”

“okay, my love, whatever you want,” you smile, pressing a kiss to his cheek as you settle neck to him, leaving more kisses on his shoulder, “you’re so pretty,” you comment absentmindedly, your touch nothing more than soft and intimate, but he gets embarrassed easily when he’s like this. stuff that normally just makes him giddy internally leaves him a flustered mess like this.

he’s defenseless to come up with any kind of counterargument or rebuttal. he holds you like he’ll fall apart without you.

“you can go to sleep, baby, know you’re tired. we’ll shower when you wake up, alright? just close your eyes, and breathe. you’re okay. none of the cruel things i said earlier are true. i think so highly of you, leon, don’t forget that. you’re my everything, i would never tell you you’re stupid or pathetic with the intent to hurt you. i know you’d tell me if i said something that you didn’t like.”

“don’t wanna go to sleep, i wanna stay like this with you…” he mumbles, but he’s already so tired. poor thing.

“it’s okay, we’ll stay like this. i’ll be right here when you wake up, mkay?”

“i love you,” he says, still so soft and submissive. he’ll probably be back to normal when he wakes up, or at least some of the way there.

“i know you do, baby. i love you, too.”

You mentioned in one of the asks that some countries are like a prototype/based of our existing countries, like Germany=Mondstadt, Liyue=China, Inzauma=Japan....

So even though the language is more or less identical for you to make heads and tails in a conversation or writing in a book, the reverse side does not.

Creator!Reader who knows a couple of languages (plus points if they're atleast fluent or have a understanding of it despite not being able to speak said language) and being born from a country that doesnt have the same language as the countries Teyvat based off. Basically Spanish, Italian, Filipino, Scandinavian languages that also have their own way of writing.

Imagine feeling homesick and the only thing that keeps you occupied is the notebook and pen you have while the others converse in a meeting or in a hangout. You started writing in your tongue and re-reading it to relive memories.

Zhongli, AlHaitham, Albedo, Jean, maybe the Berry bros too (Diluc & Kaeya) get curious only to have a double-take and immediately thinks that maybe there is a forgotten land in Teyvat that has this language, I mean Morax stayed faithful to Liyue and Barbatos blessed his country with abundance of supplies and freedom. Teyvat gods and archons played favourites, so why wouldn't you as well? (Bonus: Khaenriah flashbacks) (also I know these arent enough characters but how should I know? I only have a handful of them and I ran out of Primos😭

The people from Akademiya though? I mean they went hard on theorizing and picking apart the language of their creator. Have you seen Matpat's descent to insanity the more FNAF continues to push out LoRe? Thats basically them because Teyvat doesn't have a country based on Creator's birth country. They're grasping nothing but air and dead ends and the only lead they have is you, but couldnt ask because you look so down and they cant bear to see Creator sad....

the food, and the looks, makes it your favorite restaurant in Liyue, the Liuli Pavilion a little too fancy for casual dining, afterall, Zhongli would know

He’s tried to keep track of your favorite places to be in Liyue too, and kept his near full attention on what you say when he asks after your stays in Liyue (he hasn’t felt the need to pay that much attention or felt that much interest in conversation partners in… decades?)

So when you come out of the kitchen, throwing your head back and laughing, "Sí, sí! It all tastes so close Xiangling! Gracias, thank you!"

He wants… to know.

to know what those strange, but delicious looking, foods are all balanced on two big dinner plates

Xiangling carrying whatever you couldn’t just behind, a pitcher of white liquid, it smells, like cinnamon?

He raises a hand, and offers the extra seats at his table, (when did his tea go cold? he only just sat down, he couldn’t have spent that long thinking about you…)

You notice and look over, a giddy grin lighting up your face (…hmm, perhaps he needs to transform into his Exuvia form and let off some steam, his chest has warmed too much right now for him to just be sitting here…)

You plop into the seat beside him, but not before carefully placing the plates in front of both you and Zhongli

You scootch around until you’re turned towards him, as always, Zhongli looks… actually kind of, happy?

Your smile brightens your face once more, clearing away any leftover stormclouds from your mood earlier, and as you launch into explaining (Xiangling had to get back to orders, so it’s just you two now)

You list it all, the quintessential: quesadillas, empanadas, tamales, chorizo (you had to combine at least 5 different spices to Mondstadt sausages to get anywhere close to the real thing) the dips obviously, salsa, queso, guacamole, and the easy street tacos, and finally the horchata, but also all the weird fruits Teyvat has with chile, like Sunsettias mixed with Harra from Sumeru or Lavender melons with Wolfhook berries… all surpringly pretty good

(the Sun-Harra combo tastes like mango, a sort of deeper taste of pineapple/kiwi and a sort of light orange taste? all with the nice addition of chile flavors, the Lavender melons and Wolfhooks helped imitate chamoy enough that your heart was satisfied)

…you realize you’ve just been talking about the last meal you had with your family/friends instead of the food after a bit, and Zhongli hasn’t said anything…

you trail off and look back over your shoulder (u were practically about to get your shirt in the imitation guac u were leaning so far over the table to point and talk)

you’re about to sheepishly apologize for taking over the conversation, and ask if he wants to try anything (Zhongli can handle spice so u dont have to worry abt that at least)

but as u finally see his face, u just stop, and dont end up saying anything

He’s just, looking at you.

his smile's not huge, but big enough to make his eyes look happy, and Zhongli’s just… looking at you.

You can’t describe the look he’s giving you, but you suddenly feel… a wave of shyness wash over your heart in your chest, because he’s looking almost like, maybe like, he’s sort of, waiting for you to keep talking, his tan skin warm in the golden rays of the sun beginning to set, you don’t know why you’re noticing any of these things, and he gently, slowly, makes a move to lean into your space a little

almost above your armrest, head inches from your shoulder, he finally moves to stop looking at you-

He looks like a painting as he looks down, his eyelashes almost sitting on his high cheekbones,

you have to move your head to looking at the table too as he moved so close,

you feel your shoulders reflexitively hitch upwards as you brushed the hair on the side of his head as you turned away

He looks around, and then moves his head, not his body, he’s still leaning toward you, to look you right in the eyes again

“Why did you stop? I haven’t said much, I apologize, but it’s only because I wanted to hear you without anything interrupting you.”

You cough a little strained, “Oh! Oh I get it now yeah, thanks-”

“I want to hear you more,” his black eyes begin to warm with gold, you can vaguely see the shape of his diamond pupil revealing itself, “I want to hear about… everything, if you’ll tell me? The language, the food, the drinks, your family, your dances, your country, I want to hear it all. Won’t you please let me hear your voice some more?”

Here's my thought process. Because my Alfonse and Sharena plushies are made of felt and whatever material I had laying around for years, I think I have to keep in line with that philosophy. Even the embroidery on the face was stuff I already had, and I improvised in some areas where I didn't have proper embroidery thread for it (pulling apart black thread of something thicker/for jewerly making, layering sewing thread for the freckles, pulling apart yarn for the eye shines, ect).

Like what I'm getting at here is that the design philosophy is almost ragdolly in a way! And I def think they're more doll than plushie actually. I almost kinda think of Yoshi's Wooly World/Crafted World, for the aesthetics -- the "gimmick" is that they Look crafted by hand, using whatever you have on hand (which is. As I'm saying it. Literally just What I'm Doing LMFAOOO BUT WITH INTENT 😤😤😤)

So. That in mind

From the start I had the idea of using this fabric for the blue undershirt. You won't see much of it, if any at all though.... so I was gonna use it for the cape, too. But then my nana stopped by, and gave me A Bunch of fabric, including..

Like. The perfect shit. Just out of whatever she had on hand. The dark blue with gold sparkles is SO PERFECT for the inside of the capes..... and it doesn't even shed glitter!!!! It's good stuff!!! The shiny satiny gold material is thin, but hefty. So like. Even though you can see it fraying (and it does look. Intimidating.), I feel like if I'm smart I can make it work. My idea for the armor was to layer some fabric on top of sturdier fabric, anyway, to add/hold shape (but also very much crossing that bridge when I get to it).

Now, for the white fabric...... well. I've run into some issues. One of which was material that was from a thinly knit scarf, had that ragdoll vibe, but was way too flimsy. Not even gonna bother.

Digging around...

There's this fabric. It has a nice sheen to it, that doesn't really show up on camera. But you see how it fucking frays. You see how it's imprisoned by a hanger. You see the crinkles. This shit is going to be a fucking Nightmare to work with. It's lightweight, yeah. Too lightweight. I COULD use this for something else, but using it on a Fuck Around and Find Out project where I'm not even using patterns is a Death Sentence. I would Die. Badly. Next

I found this soft material I got Years Ago, big dreams of something else that never came to fruition. It would be very good plush material. I was really ruminating on it. However... I feel it may be too flimsy to use button joints on it. And even though it's not thick material, on this scale.. it's probably too thick to work with. And going back, to when I said they're more doll than plush... I have other big dreams. Of a Plush plush. I only have so much of this material, I think it would be smarter to save it. Probably will save me some grief, too. ENTER.

Pant leg. With some effort, I could probably find the rest of it. I actually do think this could work, though! It's that sort of stretchy fake jeans material, and it does have a nice visual texture to it irl. Very subtle. And I feel, fits very well into the "shit I just had laying around" ragdoll aesthetic. LITERALLY ACTUALLY...... made of rags..... and again, them being more for display than they are like, cuddly. I mean, they're also very much for Holding. I do want them to be very holdable. BUT. Idk may be onto something here...

ALSO. That red ribbon is a bit on the thick side, BUT...... it has potential. With enough fucking around I could have something, there...

LIKE I mentioned it a little bit, but I think the thing that's REALLY gonna make these guys shine is having a variety of dif patterns and textures, primarily visually. Although I do think about having to make three layers of clothing on these guys and my brain explodes. Badly. Like. I'm resigned to making one layer the bodice. We can skimp on the realism. But that still means.. the white over shirts... AND the armor..... and the capes. Help. 🧍

I have a feeling that Monaca is a bit like Cruella and/ or Himiko Toga. She already had some questionable tendencies that only worsen with the way she was treated; she just needed some help but we know how that ended up

Monaca def has a sibling complex. I think she always just wanted a family. No matter what, it's a fact: she was just a kid; a half-sibling was still a sibling to her, yet Haiji was absolutely disgusted by her very existence. (As someone with two older siblings I can't even imagine the pain)

I mean, just look at her wiki. The way it describes what others, what Haiji thought if her? Her own quotes? Yikes

Which is probably why she was so quickly and obsessively attached with Junko; the person who could be her sister—her family

Wanna know the 'best part'? It is canon that she knew perfectly well that Junko not only didn't actually care for them but was using them too. Ouch

Due to what his parents put him through, he abhors games where you have to grind or constantly level up.

He does however love cute casual/ mindless stuff; games where you can just turn off your brain and enjoy yourself—games where you don't need to be perfect, you can just be you

He is either completely terrified or utterly apathetic to needles. Like when the school nurse come to give the annual shot, he's either gonna break down or be like 'huh, another one.'

Pretty numb to sensations most of the time. Especially bad during exam week or if his parents have a new theory they wanna 'try out'

Also, likely why he says random stuff; it confuses others and gives him their attention, if momentarily

Masaru Daimon

Due to his dad's addictions, Masaru flinches at the sight of a lighter

Additionally, he really hates strong smelling substances

He learnt how to patch himself and knew basic medical skills at a young age

As we've seen, he can also be self destructive; bruising himself when he feels like he's not living up to the title of 'Hero'

Lived off instant foods since his dad only gave him meager pocket change for it.

Now, onto the more light-hearted ones!

They like playing the Sims and/ or Minecraft together! Kotoko would design their characters and work with Jataro to build their house; Nagisa prefers playing free/ creative mode cause there's no goals or restrictions to abide; Masaru would likely be the only one hyped to finish certain milestones purely to brag; Monaca, well, she's gonna unleash all her pent up frustrations on those poor Sims/ mobs.

They used to have movie nights together! It was Kotoko's idea since it was an adorbs trend. Initially it was just the girls but eventually the guys joined too. They usually do it either at Monaca's place or very rarely at Jataro's.

They each have different love languages! Jataro's is physical touch, since he never recieved anything from his mother due to her disgust of him; Masaru's is words of affirmation as his dad never really said anything good about him and only talked when necessary; Kotoko's is quality time—since, prior to Monaca, people only interact/ spend time with her they have an ulterior motive; Nagisa's is acts of service—as he never had someone do something for him that didn't harm him; finally, Monaca's is gifts—she's the girl who has everything, but feels like she has nothing—a present, no matter how big or small, as long as it is genuine is precious to her

Speaking of, Monaca prob has a few gifts from the Warriors, and possibly even her other classmates, that she keeps. She says it's just for future blackmail but her heart says otherwise

Masaru is actually a pretty decent cook! He had grown tired of fast food so much he actually learnt how to make some basic meals. He sometimes even cooks for the others—mostly to impress them but still! Though he much prefers eating then preparing the meals

Jataro is awful at cooking tho—in fact, he's banned from the kitchen. He tends to get distracted and ends up putting random things into the mix

I have a feeling that all the Warriors have a 'liking' to Monaca, by different degrees however: Nagisa's is of course pupply love; Masaru thinks that they belong together since he's the Hero and she's the Princess; Kotoko probably sees her as a pure untainted angel that needs to be protected; and Jataro... well, maybe he's just confused lol

I heard you were asking for angst ideas, and I might have one. Not the super in your face angsty stuff, but something that can hit just as hard imo

Someone mentioned a spoiled bratty sister as an add-on to the abuse parents idea, so may I present to you an add-on to the add-on: protective older sibling (perhaps a brother to even things out). In my head, this brother would be the exact opposite of bratty sister, probably older than both the sister and MC, and he probably goes through the same BS that MC has to with their parents (oldest sibling disease is no joke that boy is probably burnt out and neglected and still would take the brunt of it for MC's sake). They probably leaned on each other a lot growing up until the brother left or moved away for one reason or another. This is where the angst comes in: due to him leaving MC to fend for themselves, this would lead to abandonment and trust issues, which MC could project onto the cast. Doesn't want them to leave her but doesn't want to rely on them in case they do.

This would also leave the door open for this brother to come back into MC's life. I imagine he's very protective of them and clocks the cast's mild yandere red flags a mile away lol In my head he'd try to convince MC to correct their behavior like they're cats in desperate need of a spray bottle - that or he'd just call them out himself. And this would add tension to everyone because no way is the cast gonna be cool with this guy getting in the way even if he's just trying his best, but at the same time they can't be nearly as mean to him as they might be to the bratty sister because MC actually really cares about him and missed him a lot.

I know there's a LOT of different moving parts and ideas and thoughts I kinda just spewed into this. These were actually ideas I had for my own Creator AU reverse isekai (inspired by you!!) that I know will never see the light of day lol so go wild! Take what you want, adjust how you see fit! Maybe MC fits more as the oldest and deserves the oldest child disease instead lmao or maybe there is no sister or he never left- I could literally go on forever I'm gonna stop now lmaooo can't wait to see more from you! And even if you don't end up using any of these ideas, hopefully, I helped get the creative juices flowing!

i could def see reader's older brother coming to visit her once a couple of months since you know, money, he wishes he could visit you every day/week but since his job is so far away, problems you know.

August 18-19 HAUL

So, for the first time in literal months, I went to stay the weekend at my uncle's house for something we call "staycation" which is basically staying over for a few days and going places together. It's our little family thing. We decided to go to the American Dream Mall on Friday, August 18 and a local town mall on Saturday, August 19. In between those two days, I managed to get a bag full of snacks that were sure going to screw with my diet for the weekend and some clothes that will serve me well for the first few weeks of school in 2 weeks.

FIRST, THE SNACKS! I am a HUGE fan of everything Sanrio and ramen noodles so when I found out that hello kitty actually had a little collab with Prince Katsu, I HAD TO get it. Obviously, I blame capitalism for taking my money because they literally slapped Hello Kitty onto a ramen noodle cup and expected me to walk out of the store without it. It was actually really good! The little vegetables and "spice" stuff came in little packets and stuff and I'm not gonna lie, the "spice" wasn't really spicy. It was, however, a little tangy. I got it on Friday at American Dream and I saw more of those little ramen cups of Saturday at the local mall so I'm assuming it's in very high demand (and for very good reason.) I got this Japanese soda in this cute little bottle from F.Y.E (For Your Entertainment) and I actually got one last year when we went! But I got a watermelon flavor one this time, I think I got just like, a regular melon flavor last year. But I def wanna start a little bottle collection of them, the bottles are so cute. The soda reminds me exactly of a freshly unwrapped watermelon flavored jolly rancher, but carbonated.

I got 2 boxes of Pocky. One was the regular cookies n crème flavor (my favorite btw) and the other one was original chocolate. The difference? Not just the flavor. But the size. Omg, THE CHOCOLATE ONES WERE LITTERALLY GIANT! No lie, it literally said "giant" on the box. It was like, 10 times the size of a normal pocky stick. They tasted almost the same, but I felt like I could taste more of the biscuit than the chocolate but that's what happens when you super size a snack like that.

I got a share size bag of KitKat thins (KitKat is one of my all time favorite chocolates) They were individually wrapped which I hated but I did have a little cup to put all the wrappers into because I was too lazy to get up and throw them all out in the actual trash can. My cousins did end up stealing some of them so I didn't completely finish them on my own (despite the fact that I really wanted to) but I would totally get them again just so I can add to the little snack drawer in my room. And last for the snack section, I got a hello kitty boba milk tea kit because I love boba but I've always wanted to try making it at home. It came with 4 paper boba straws, 4 tapioca pearl packets, and 4 milk tea powder packets. Luckily the instructions was on the box and it wasn't some million page long paper of directions because I totally would have lost it. Honestly, the boba was really good. I did have to leave it in my fridge to cool a little bit (I like it cold okay) but I would totally buy six more boxes just so I can make some every day.

AND NOW, LAS COSAS! (aka just little things I bought.)

I BOUGHT MY FIRST EVER KPOP ALBUM! Now, I've been into Kpop for around 4 years (got into it in august 2019) and over the course of these 4 years, I've explored already existing groups, disbanded groups, soloists, newly debuted groups, survival shows, and even groups from other generations. But as of the past two years, I really found myself gravitating towards a soloist named AleXa. She's a former contestant from a survival show that aired back in 2016 called Produce 101. I absolutely LOVE her music and I'd be lying if I said I hadn't tried to cover a few of them. But when she came out with "Girls In Vogue" last November, I knew I HAD to get it. Now almost a year later, IT'S LITERALLY IN MY ROOM! The pictures from the photoshoots look so beautiful, AleXa looks so good! The photocards are so cute, I keep one in my phone case. My favorite song from the album is probably either "Back In Vogue" or "Please Try Again" but I absolutely ADORE her little collab with Moonbyul from MAMAMOO (she's literally my bias) it was practically a musical match made in heaven.

Now, I'm a person who likes dressing both masculine and feminine, however I do mainly present feminine. Unfortunately, I do still have a bit of a "girly" weakness aka shiny sparkly things mean I want it in my hands. So, when I saw these two little boxes of press on nails, I had to get them. Now, I have friends who go out and get actual acrylics and drop $80 or $100 dollars for them but as someone who is both broke and gets tired of things very easily, press on nails just feel easier to deal with. I got one box of press ons (24 nails total) that have a little French tip and honestly, they look cute. I haven't tried them on yet but I'll give an update on when I do. I'm just hoping they look cute on my nails when I put them on. Then there's the second box that has little diamonds on the "cuticle" part of it (idk how nails work) but it's only for the ring finger and maybe the thumb? Or pinky? I haven't tried either of them yet but when I do, I'll update.

I'M THE BIGGEST FAN OF RWBY THAT I KNOW IRL AND WHEN I SAW THE MANGA, I HAD TO GET THEM ASAP! I already have an almost complete collection of the RWBY official anthology, I still need the fifth one in order for it to be complete. Then, I found the first book of Bunta Kinami's RWBY manga and I got it! It's funny because last year during winter break, I found the second one but I couldn't find the first. I couldn't buy it last year because I had already spent majority of my money at other stores so by the time I saw it, I was too broke to get it. Now this year, I find the first one but the second one is nowhere to be found! I did end up buying the first book though. I was able to find the amazon listing for the second book and a few others so I'm hoping those will come in very soon! I also got Shirow Miwa's RWBY manga! So, I now have SIX RWBY manga books in my collection with more to come!

I have a literal collection of stuffed animals. I'm sure everyone has one or has had one before but I have literally kept every single stuffed animal I have ever owned. Big, small, medium, jumbo, mini, you name it. Stuffed animals were a huge part of my childhood. Growing up as a little kid, being relentlessly bullied in school and fighting with my mom over childish things, my main friends were my stuffed animals. One of my favorites was this little mint green TY teddy bear. I absolutely adored it. So, when I went to True Believers and saw a pink cherry blossom TY teddy bear, you already know I had to have it. Apparently, her name is Sakura and she's a Japanese exclusive! She is so soft and cute and adorable and she DEFINITELY makes for a good cuddle buddy if you're someone who likes cuddling with stuffed animals.

I got this cute little fake gold headband with butterflies and rhinestones on it and it is the cutest thing I could ever put on my head. I lowkey felt like a Disney Princess. It's two headbands but they join together at the end to make it one headband so it's cute. I think I have a dress or something that might work with it in the future.

Now, you know I had to save the best for last. THE CLOTHES!

I know a lot of people in a lot of places have already started school but I don't start until the 7th of next month. I have a little over 2 weeks to get myself together. I couldn't just walk into a new school year with old fits. So, I went to Forever 21 and Hot Topic to pick up some new shirts, pants, and a jacket or two to start me off strong.

First the hot topic stuff (only two pieces)

I got this black and white striped long sleeve shirt on it with a skull on the upper left part of the chest and I am a total HOE when it comes to stripes. I genuinely had no idea just how many striped shirts I owned until I went back home and started putting all of the clothes away. It brings out the masc side of me, which I really like. Then I got this Monster High Crop Top Hoodie WHICH I'M FUCKING OBSESSED WITH BECAUSE IT HAS THUMB HOLES AT THE END OF THE SLEEVES! There was no way I was walking out of that store without buying it. It has the Monster High logo on the left shoulder and a little pink heart on the bottom right. AND THE STRINGS HAVE LITTLE BLACK BOWS ABOVE THE KNOTS! The hoodie def gives Draulaura which is perfect because I was absolutely OBSESSED with Draulaura when I was a little kid (I was quite literally the conductor of the Draudeen/Clawlaura train) so I got it. It's so comfy, bro-

NOW FOR THE FORVER 21 CLOTHES!

So I got this little "set" if you will of this military green jacket and ripped pants and when I tell you, it was the best purchase I have ever made, I am not even joking. GREEN IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE COLORS BUT THERE IS NO SHADE OF GREEN I ADORE MORE THAN MILITARY/FOREST GREEN AND OMG IT LOOK SO GOOD! The jacket is denim and the sleeves are a liiiiiiittle bit long but the jacket fits me perfectly fine. I'm not exactly tall so my arms don't reach all the way but I couldn't get a small or else the whole jacket would look and feel small on me so I went with the medium instead. THE PANTS THO?!! Okay, so they're styled like sweatpants but they aren't sweatpants, they just have the stretchy waistband with the string and stuff. But the knees are ripped and it makes me feel cool.

I got this gray shirt that says "classic" on it and it has little holes (it's supposed to be that way, I swear, I saw the other shirts of different sizes having the same holes) and it's so cute. I paired it with the green jacket and green pants and it works! But I can't really wear the shirt with the jacket because the jacket covers most of the letters and all you see is "ass" and I don't feel like getting dress coded and suspended for "offensive speech" but if I just wore the shirt by it'self without the jacket, it's so freaking cute.

NEXT UP WE HAVE SOME BEIGE PANTS! Now, I wasn't in the guys section which made this so much better because the pockets are actual pockets. Not those pockets on usual pants or jeans that are like an inch and a half deep, I MEAN I CAN FIT MY WHOLE HAND IN THE POCKET! I FOUND POCKETS! IN THE WOMENS SECTION! The pants also have these fake suspenders/ random straps attached which honestly make it look so much cuter. They fit really well and I have a lot of white shirts that could totally work with the pants. The material was surprisingly a little soft for them being jeans, yk? LASTLY, WE HAVE A CREAMY WHITE SHORT SLEEVE TURTLE NECK THAT I BOUGHT TO MATCH THE BEIGE PANTS! As someone who isn't the biggest fan of turtlenecks, this lowkey made me change my mind. So, it's not completely a turtle neck, it has a zipper that goes down the middle in the front to adjust it to your liking. The zipper is really convenient, I tried the turtleneck style but I also zipped it down enough to make it like a collar which made it 10 times better. The top has black lines on the left and right sides IN THE FRONT and a text on the back saying "NEW YORK NYC EST. 1964" and it's the cutest top I've ever gotten. I've also been trying to branch out in terms of my style so I feel like this top really helps that.

I like the Resistance members :) Very video gamey of them to have one NPC assigned to each dungeon but hey!!! Kinda cool getting to see a little glimpse of each of em

Idk, it’s just fun to imagine Link popping into Telma’s bar after each dungeon and taking a little rest :) (or to celebrate? maybe just chat, idk, give this man some downtime!!)

Honestly it was just kind of nice that Link wasn’t entirely alone. I mean, I know Midna was there the whole time, but I am always for giving Link a big group of friends (see my love for hyrule warriors, age of calamity, and LU LMAO)

Hero’s shade, very very cool, kinda sad he died with regrets but HEY. He got to pass on his knowledge eventually

TP WORLD BUILDINGGGG

Botw has good world building too, but each race felt kinda,,, isolated? I absolutely love the different architecture and vibe each town has (and all the the weapons too) but ghhh yea everyone felt so separated. As far as I can remember, we don’t see tooo much of the races interacting with each other? Now that I’m typing that out maybe that’s to be expected because of the calamity but KLSJDKJFD ANYWAYS THIS IS ABOUT TP

The world feels nice and alive, love how populated everything is

Castle town I like castle town a lot, it feels dense and busy and I really like how you can’t talk to every NPC you see

Very cool very fun that we got to see the Gorons hanging out in multiple spots

kinda wish we got to see the Zoras a little more (I guess they are a bit limited since they need water but GHHHH the tp zoras are so prebby,,)

BUT HEY, I do remember seeing a zora or two hanging out in the hot springs around death mountain after beating the lakebed temple (I think, might have been a different dungeon) 

but aaaa would have been nice to see them in at least a couple of other places. I think it would have really added to the “congrats Link!! You’re restoring peace to Hyrule” feeling you get from seeing the Gorons hanging out in Kakariko and Castle Town

They really do seem to be doing their own thing apart from the rest of Hyrule

Love Midna’s theme and how they referenced the dark world theme from ALttP (I remember trying to learn the dark world theme on the piano and doing the Leonardo DiCaprio point meme at the little jingle I recognized from Midna’s theme)

Hyrule field theme SLAPS.

Apparently references a couple of the other over-world themes from the previous zelda games (I got this from 8-bit Music theory’s video on the over-world zelda themes, he talks about TP at around 11:40 but def recommend watching the whole video if you’re into music analysis stuff)

So there’s this bit of the Hyrule Field theme, I don’t know the official name for it but I remember seeing somewhere it being called the “at an advantage theme” since yeah, you hear it during the boss music whenever you expose their weak points. FUCKINGGG LOVE THAT. Didn’t notice it during my first playthrough, but hearing it during my second was like a little easter egg for my ears every time :)

I didn’t care for it too much when I started playing the game but hearing it in ZREO’s arrangement of the Hyrule Field theme literally makes me turn into a puddle of emotions. Also hearing it around and of the Ordon kids (I think it plays after Link saves Colin) AAAAAAAAAAAAA

Orchestra piece #1 and #2 HOLY SHIT???????????????? 

Literally, the first time I listened to those I just,,,, plugged in my headphones, volume 100, layed on the floor/against my desk and silently vibed. I don’t know what the hell it is, but those two just fit so well with TP?? I still avoid listening to them nowadays cause if I DO I definitely will get overwhelmed with the “god I love this game so FUCKING MUCH” kind of feels.

Wolf link sucks at singing

the first time I heard him howling Zelda’s Lullaby I lost my shit because LKSJLDKSGLKJFSKG god that was.,, Bad. Anyways, hearing him howl some of the songs from OoT was cute :)

TP STAFF ROLL??? 

VERY GOOD. IT’s like 10 minutes long and GOD do I love every single second of it. It doesn’t have the same energy as the skyward sword staff roll or the orchestra pieces but GOD does it hit good??

Nice and calm after that big exciting adventure. Maybe it would have been more fun or emotional to have a higher energy piece but it was really nice getting to sit back and watch the camera fly around Hyrule. Seeing like, the Gorons and the Zoras having a good time, the kids returning to Ordon? GOOD SHIT.

and AAAAA that end, when you hear the main Zelda theme and see Link riding off out of Faron woods on Epona… good shit. It gets you thinking, where the hell is he going? What is he doing? So before I get too far, I'mma quick define some shit. Since ASTHC is, in part, a portal fantasy, as well as a sci-fi adventure, there's a couple places I'm gonna give placeholder titles. So!

Place where Jazz, Jason, and Alex are from: Base Universe (or World)

Universe where they get dumped by portal: Adventure Universe

Planet where Jazz ends up: P1

Planet where Alex ends up: P2

Planet where Jason ends up: P3

Now onto the actual question :)

Technology in Base Universe is essentially whatever it was circa mid-2010s. That's the boring part of this answer lol

Now, for the Adventure Universe, here's what I have so far:

Spaceships and interplanetary travel/faster-than-light travel. How that looks is probably gonna depend by planet tbh. P2: super "outdated" (inefficient and such) bc they don't go anywhere. P1: Clunky but effective. P3: Essentially engineered to where they can use their powers as part of the propulsion system.

Holograms, especially tactile ones. I def have a vibe I wanna achieve with this lol

There's one city that I wanna make look like that bright shiny futuristic aesthetic, so hover vehicles, robots, the whole shebang

As for magic..... time for a read-more lol

In the Base Universe, magic is this sort of "in the shadows" type deal. It's pretty hereditary, but also pretty random. Jazz and Alex come from a family with a long history of magic, but it just completely skipped over their grandfather. Meanwhile Jason's family on his mom's side has 0 magic other than his mom and her brother. People with magic tend to have 1-3 distinct powers, and I'll list those out in a bit.

Also, because you're enabling me to ramble, I'mma mention something that's uh, not a thing that was created crucially for ASTHC, but is a thing in my own character lore and therefore does make an appearance in ASTHC.

So there's some people with magic that are (tentatively) called star-touched, and the difference between them and say, Jazz or Jason, is that their magic is dormant until awakened. Once awakened, they get 1 power, period. This type of power is way less random than typical powers and very consistently hereditary, leading to the star-touched being kinda a lil bit culty. This gets to be somewhat relevant because Alex's mom was star-touched who said "fuck your lowkey culty shit" and married his dad (not star-touched, but has powers), which therefore makes Alex a unique lil bean lol.

(I really like this bit of lore. And just the entire complicated Lunacen-Evenstar family drama lol)

Anyhoot, enough about Base Universe, that's just to set up Jazz, Jason, and Alex, let's get onto the Adventure Universe!

Functionally, it's mostly similar to how powers work in the Base Universe, with the same set of powers existing in each universe. The key differences are:

In Base, powers are random and are not necessarily related to what parents and/or family members have. In Adventure, kids always have the same powers as their parents.

1 power per person all the time.

Due to The War, all of the different powers have been split up and are now living on separate planets

Due to being allowed more openness/freedom about using/learning how to control powers, they are a lot stronger and better controlled in the Adventure Universe.

There are, as far as anybody knows, there are no people who don't have any powers anymore.

Now, I did promise a list of wtf types of powers people have, so *blows dust off the old Word doc* here's the incomplete list I have so far (incomplete bc I do want to add more I'm just... stuck on what else to add lol) (and, for funsies, I'm also including which of my OG characters has said powers so. That's who all the names are lol)

Shapeshifters: Can shift into 1 or 2 animal forms. (Melody (wolf and phoenix), Finn (wolf), Celia (dragon), Jason (fox), Alex (dragon))

Time control: As basic as it sounds lmao. Stop, slow down, or speed up time. (Was Jared's, may be his once again)

Elemental: Control over water, fire, air, and earth (yes, just like ATLA lol). (Melody, Jared, Jason)

Werewolf: .... Yeah lol. 1 key difference from typical werewolves though, it is the one power that is absolutely hereditary. Also there's typically only 1 per generation. (Will Hayden, Jazz, Will Daniel)

Telepathy: Another of those (hopefully) self-explanatory ones lol. (Will Hayden, James)

Telekinesis: Able to move stuff with just a thought. (Sasi, Hayden)

Seer: Able to see the future, often in dreams. (Jared, Alex)

Illusions: Able to create illusions. Stability of the illusion depends mostly on strength of the creator, but none are able to hold up to physical touch. (Jake, Hayden)

Storm Twisters: Able to control storms and electricity/lightning. May or may not have lore in Base Universe that Storm Twisters are always twins. (James, Will Daniel).

So, as a fun bit of knowledge about Adventure Universe: P1 is the planet where the werewolves live, P2 is the seers, and P3 is elementals.

buckle up folks this is gonna be long bc min. character limit uni papers thought me a lot of things but def not how to be concise 

01. planning

this was a long time ago but i do remember wanting to make something with overlays bc quite honestly i started working on this way too late and it seemed the fastest lmao. jokes on me i had 2 failed attempts and this also went through some changes along the way. initially i wanted to combine dye, bol and present:you... them being my fave eras for this lovable dumb man. so it would’ve been one pair for each gif.

02. creating

picking footage

so onto creating,, first things first the concept had to be changed bc present:you only had light shots so that had to be removed rip, here you can see a failed attempt at me trying to include it. this was before i started making proof on concepts for gifsets which later on saved me so much time... but not this time

once i accepted defeat i had to reshuffle the shots and add some new ones but it was all good i was not losing braincells at all. so onto the real gifs, gonna show you the red one bc that’s my fave of the three. 

making the base

btw i’m always working with timelines and smart objects bc it feels way easier than frames. so here we started with this jaebeom, and since the background and his hair it’s pretty dark those will be the parts which will be covered with the next gif. i made it black and white and also adjusted the levels a bit to make it a bit softer (lowered the whites and lightened the blacks)

for aesthetic purposes i always go for one close shot and one wider shot, then literally all i did was add the other gif on top, and set it to lighten. okay this is it that’s the whole process bye. oh we need the rest too? okay okay. so btw for a while i was considering making both of them coloured but then bw looked better when having all three gifs under each other, felt more like a ‘set’

now for this gif in particular i did not need to mask anything, shocking, but for the others i had to either blend the edges or make the bottom layer darker at some places to let the top layer show up a bit more e.g. for the second gif i needed a tiny blending like so (it’s the layer 1 copy 3 lmao)

making the overlay bits

then we are basically done with the main part of the gifs, obviously i applied colouring to each inside the smart object. but i always like to add something extra on top which are usually two things: 1.) full overlay gif something blurred (literally any kind of footage.. i used leaves, water, space renders etc. so far), or a light leak, oooor a bokeh effect whatever and just keep it subtle. and 2.) some smaller moving bits which are usually sparkles, dust, stars, galaxy stuff etc. u get the idea. for the above gif this happens to be Layer 1 copy 2 rip. also in this case this overlay is actually this jaebeom footage blurred and with some colouring added on top of it to have this redish brassy tone (not me forgetting about this completely lmao) obviously it’s zoomed in and i’m using the top left part of the video blurred. look at me explaining my chosen gif with another gifs gahd i’m bad at this. anyways it just goes to show i use practially anything i can think of and just blur it. 

for the full overlay footage i either go black and white and set it to overlay or soft light, whatever works best, or go coloured and set it to lighten again.... whatever blending mode works best. for this specific 2nd gif i went with lighten. for the smaller moving bits same tbh i just adjust the levels/curves to only show the bits i need when it’s set to lighten, i.e. i make its background more black so it won’t make the gif hazy.

so anyways i add those on top so it’s not boring anymore,, practically just concealing the fact that all i‘ve really done was adding a gif on top of another and set it to lighten rip. oh yeah we have the text layers, nothing fancy here: for the script i used Challenge and the serif is FogtwoNo5. For the script i sampled some red from the background and just set it to overlay, and for the serif i just went with full caps adding some extra kerning bc one: for full caps you always need that, not this much lol, and two: it just looks better okay. 

last touches

then i added a levels adjustment layer because i felt the gifs were a bit brighter than i wanted, so we ended up with this

oh my gahd we are almost theeeere, for saving gifs here are my settings, i did not have to tell photoshop which colours to use luckily so it was an easy process.

03. posting

eeehmmm posting... yeah nothing exciting? i just save it in my drafts check it on mobile, and if something is really messed up i’ll change some colouring and saving settings, but this was a fairly ‘easy’ gif for tumblr to compress decently so none of that.

Hey there! I was wondering what reshade/editing actions you used in your simtober day 2 post? It's very beautiful!

o fucc i’ve never been asked a question like this so I’m gonna try and explain this as like. Simply as possible?? Also thank you so much! I’m glad you like it. 

For those of you interested, the post in mind is this one right here. 

I went through a bit of a process while trying to edit those because I actually used a few various actions and some of various adjustment layers that Adobe photoshop went through. If you want a step by step I can try to do it, but I did it in kind of a rush and I’m not the best at explaining this stuff so pls no bully. 

The process will be in a read more since I’m gonna be typing for a mean minute.

SO. To start it off, I use a reshade preset called lithium by the wonderful @gunthermunch which is linked here. It’s been my go-to on all of my posts for a month now, so I def recommend. After I take the pics in game, I move into Photoshop for the rest.

To start off, I use two actions by @squea that can be found right here. (These use Topaz Clean 3) The two in particular that I use are these ones:

I then move onto a few more actions (I have many downloaded) but from what I recall I was switching between three from @intramoon. The link to those actions is here. The ones in particular that I was trying to use for the colors are:

If the color isn’t to my liking (it’s never a bad thing to have too much color sometimes!) I might use a few actions from @solstice-sims that are linked here. The one I was particularly using was this one:

Now, if you do all that one thing you might be thinking is “why in the ever living fuck is my image so dark?” A lot of these actions use contrast and brightness, which means that the image will slowly get darker the more you add these actions. To negate this, I did a simple adjustment layer of Brightness/Contrast. For each image, there was a different level of brightness I wanted. You can adjust the Brightness accordingly to each image, and I’d suggest minimally touching the contrast.

If something looks funky to you, just turn off the action or CTRL+Z an action. Always make copies of your images while in PS so you have an edited and unedited version to look back to. I hope this helps!

JADE: Hello cryptwizzlers, cryptrackers, but never cryptormentors because we’re all friends here. Welcome to a very special episode of Cryptwins in which we are not actually researching a cryptid. But! Before you shut this off and call us hacks, we are instead researching the recent disappearance of social media fitness guru; Edison Major.

More spooky music plays. There is also the sound of fingers tapping a rhythm. It's typical Joel, unable to contain his energy as he taps the dashboard in time with their intro music.

JOEL: Weeeeeeeell...Maybe we are hacks. —a pause as he laughs— Nah, just kidding. This is the real deal. I'm not sure you're ready for this. This is some spooky, and excuse my French, spooky shit. Tell us more about this Major disappearance? —another laugh— Get it?

JADE: [A short laugh-sigh is let out at Joel’s joke.] Okay, before we begin, two things. One, get ready for the barrage of major and minor jokes, courtesy of Joel here.

JOEL: Got a whole list, be ready! He lets Jade finish, but listeners can still hear the tapping sound while she speaks.

JADE: Secondly, we’re still on the road here, so if the audio is bad or choppy... deal with it? —another small laugh— Anyyyyway. Spooky is right. This all began in September of last year, when @majored posted a picture of himself in a dark basement wearing a weird costume and then immediately went off the grid. And, you know, I’m all for a social media cleanse, people do it all the time. Buuut, what really brought this to our attention was a month later, on Halloween Eve of all nights, when a video popped up of him getting his ass kicked by someone in a Kakashi Hatake costume.

JOEL: Now, I know y'all are asking yourselves "Isn't he a fitness guru? Why was some weeb kickin' his ass?" And to that I say hey! Some weebs are strong, some are Super Saiyan, and others are Kakashi Hatake, the most talented ninja in Konohagukure.

JOEL: We don't endorse fighting here. But I digress —a laugh— back on topic. So this guy just up and disappears out of nowhere? And there's not a peep of him until we see Kakashi givin’ him the business. What does this all mean?

JADE: Okay, so, let’s get the full story. @majored goes off the grid, comes back to get his ass kicked by a Naruto character, disappears again, comes back to spit on someone and call them a see you next Tuesday, and then disappears again. And he hasn’t come back online. So what’s up with that? Well... we did a little digging.

Obviously they got a lot of hate and questions after posting this, but all of them were left unanswered. The only person in the video that was tagged was Major, but upon further examination, this Ime seems to follow and have pictures with someone who happened to be dressed as Kakashi that same night, which has led many to speculate that these ninjas are the same person.

JOEL: So we all know Halloween's a spooooky season. Perfect for parties and all that jazz. But all those costumes make it a perfect time for disguises. Was that even the real Major? Was the person who spit the real Major? Who is this Ime and how do they fit into the story? And who— a pause for dramatic effect and muffled laughter as he tries to stay serious— is this mystery ninja? Tell us more!

JADE: Alright, alright. So this mystery ninja goes by Abel, or @_kllledbycain on the Gram. At first glance, they look pretty much like every other TikTok e-boy; black and white photos, pet snake, the insinuation that they’re dead, whole nine yards.

JOEL: snorts when Jade announces their handle, and again at her eboy comment, wheezing. It's true, it's true!

JADE: And this stuff is so common right now, so nothing really raises any eyebrows, right? Right? Well, tell me, why would a Tik Tok goth go around beating the crap out of a random influencer? Stay tuned for the theory. First, we’re gonna take a step back and look at the whole situation, because, of course, it doesn’t end there.

JOEL: Ohhhh snap! I'm on the edge of my seat, and I bet our listeners are too.

JADE: [clears her throat] So if we go back to the original poster of the video, @ime.are, and we take a look at their Insta, who is on it but... @devinitely? Okay, so @devinitely is in the same place as @majored, clearly, and, for anyone that doesn’t know, she’s been doing a bunch of collabs with @loganvance. This places not one, not two, but three influencers all together in this place where weebs are running around assaulting people.

JOEL: Okay. Okay, I need to know! Where are they? What's bringing all these influencers together? Are @devinitely and @loganvance part of something much more sinister than it seems? [He makes a funny face at Jade and wiggles his fingers, before dropping his voice to a stage-whisper.] Is it some kind of twisted influencer cult?

JADE: [muffled laughter over the sound of more papers rustling.] So, any skeptics out there might say, oh, well, this Ime Are is just a lucky person who happens to be in the presence of more than one social media personality. However, Devin follows the weeb that may or may not have kicked Major's ass. And, according to a cast photo of Rocky Horror, on her boyfriend's Instagram, both the weeb in question and the hot man that tore the two apart were part of the cast. Oh, um, Devin’s boyfriend? A picture of him, Devin, and Logan? Which... puts them and Major in the same place on the night that he disappeared.

JOEL: Snap, we have to do that now, 'cause I want one real bad. But okay, back on track. This cowboy party. The origin of this theory, yeah? Oh snap...what were those three doing in the same place as Major? And all in cow print too? That's....majorly suspicious! [He trails off into laughter, his voice doing that wheezy thing when someone's trying to finish their sentence before cracking up. Recovering, he adds the following.] Wait, wait, wait. What about—

JADE: Yes, yes, yes. —she cuts Joel off as though he's finished his sentence, chuckling at his joke— Patience, my dear twin, we will get there. —the smile is evident in her voice—

JOEL: I feel like somehow, I ended up as your Padawan for this episode. — he laughs—

JADE: You heard it here, I'm absolutely schooling Joel this episode. — she laughs— First, we're going to backtrack all the way to the original poster again. You know we snooped their whole page, and they're pretty regularly posting pictures with this person, @rengaaay, who isn't an influencer but she makes some of those sick ass roller skating videos... this isn't sus, just cool, link in the description. —a slight pause as she tries to get back to her train of thought— Anyway, what is sus is that she tags two people in her photos all the time... But no joke guys check out their Insta profiles they look different in like every other picture. Which, uh, could just be editing but also could be something.... more sinister? Hold onto that thought.

JOEL: That's such a good handle, dang! Better than @lumberjoel, honestly. I have to say I'm jelly. We should get branded rollerskates, maybe @rengaaay can advertise for us if we ship them. JK...unless? —more laughter as he waits for Jade to get back on the train and pulls up the profiles in question to take a look for himself— Huh...is it editing? Are they masters of disguise? Makeup professionals? —He starts to say something else but is pretty sure he's figured out where Jade's going with this.— What could be more sinister than human chameleons?

JADE: [The sound of papers shuffling can be heard] Oh, yeah, so, it's weird but I think every time the siblings are in a pic together they look more like each other? I dunno if this really makes sense but seriously dudes check the post with this episode because it has a bunch of photos side by side and... yeah. You pull a photo of them by themself and it's like okay, I know what this dude looks like and then you put them side by side and... I dunno, makeup? Contacts? Cloning, mayhaps? And, just so that I'm not just holding on to one thing too much... check their post from August 12th, linked below. Their brother... doesn't have a shadow. Why would you edit that out of a photo? No way are they going that hard to be memelords.

JOEL: Okay, let me look at this. Wha— That's weird as hell. How much hair dye do these two use? Hm. Could be clones? —snaps his fingers—Definitely clones. —he snorts loudly, laughing before clearing his throat— Ahem, uh. No shadow? That's dedication! I dunno, maybe it's some new challenge for the 'gram. Oh...but wait. I found a video. Look, Jade. No shadow. In a video. What the—

JADE: A video, guys. —A moment of muffled laughter before her mic cuts out, but the sound of it clicking on again is followed almost immediately— This is a big family, guys, and a big weird one because their other brother @sleepyfinch... Okay, wait, he himself is pretty normal, super cute, shout out, but guys, ghouls, you know who he has tagged in a recent post? Yet another influencer. Except this one is from Italy? @gaborealis; essentially, he’s a medium, so if you didn’t believe that the supernatural were at play beforehand... buckle up.

JOEL: Wait, wait, I'm still on the video thing. Who has time to edit a video? —his voice cracks when he says video and he covers his laughter as he focuses—

JADE: [wheezing] Shut up —there is no malice in her voice, and she’s laughing too.—

JOEL: So weird, I love it. Oh snap— the @gaborealis? It's time to get ghosty! —echoes "ghosty" and hums the Cha Cha Slide tune for a couple seconds— Okay, so wait. Does this mean everyone's favorite medium is also in the same place as...three? Three other influencers and this weird family of....maybe shapeshifters? No? Too crazy a theory?

JADE: You know what they say, cryptoddlers; no theory is too crazy. Everything Einstein came up with? Theory.

JOEL: Bringing Einstein into it, huh?

JADE: Oh you know it. —a snort— Anyway, according to Devin’s boyfriend’s Instagram, it doesn’t end there. @spencerkeahi, a youtuber and disability rights advocate who comes from Hawaii is also there with that gaggle. Shout out to @elidrising for tagging people and location. So what are these influencers from all corners of the globe gathering together for? Well, let’s take a look at the original poster again. You go on their Twitter, and a few months back it’s all just videos of people... fighting? In some sort of underground place. Mayhaps... the same creepy basement that Major posted his last photo? —a small gasp, as though she’s surprised by this— No, that must be a coincidence... or is it?

JOEL: @elidrising is the man, dang! Are you tellin' me there's a...—he lowers his voice to a whisper— secret influencers-only Fight Club? I wouldn't put it past @devinitely TBH. Honestly, I'd join one...even though I guess I've broken the first rule but talking about it, huh? Actually— Jay, do you think we'd even be allowed to join? Are podcasters influencers? Poll in my story right now, let us know what y'all think.

JADE: Right now? Joel, this isn’t going up for another week, at least. —She’s obviously trying to sound less amused than she’s coming off— Once we get the blue check we’re influencers, so we’ve got a few million followers to go, I think.

JOEL: Yeah, right now! They'll hear that when the episode goes up and respond in real ti— Oh, no. You're right. Oops. No poll in my story, y'all. False alarm. Blue check, huh? You heard it here, cryptwizzlers, we're gonna get that blue check. Tell your friends, tell your family. Heck, tell that cute barista at your coffee shop to listen to our podcast! We might just do a giveaway when we get that lil' blue swoosh.

JADE: It’s the —a pause for finger snapping— alliteration for me. JADE: Okay — the shuffling of paper is heard once more — We start in September: @majored goes off the grid after posting a creepy picture of himself in a weird outfit in a spooky basement. This is around the same time that the Scarlet Surfer was in NYC for fashion week, which @majored accompanied him to, meaning that it isn’t entirely out of the question for him to still be in New York. Also on social media at this time is @devinitely and @loganvance also both is cowboy outfits, though the creepy basement is absent from both of them.

JOEL: I guess September isn't too early for weird Halloween stuff to start? What with the spooky basement and everything. Right? And everyone loves a cowboy moment— or have cowboys become the new clown? I heard there was a clown renaissance and people like them now? I don't really know where we stand on the whole clown— what?

JADE: I see our next hot debate. Cowboys: Hot or not? Personally, I liked cow print, but I can see cowboys going out soon. Once they reach killer clown status is when it’ll be ideal for me.

JOEL: Personally, I vote hot. And uhhh, not to kinkshame you Jay, but killer clowns are a no from me.

JADE: [tsks] Kinkshamed, by my own brother no less.

JOEL: [a loud laugh] You know I'm just kidding. No kinkshaking, ya heard? I'd literally let the Jersey Devil step on me so. To each their own.

JADE: [snorting] Um, gross.

JADE: Now to October: There is a production of Rocky Horror, a cast photo is uploaded to @elidrising, the account of @devinitely’s boyfriend. This places not only @devinitely and @loganvance in Montauk, but it also places @crispyboiz and @_kllledbycain in Montauk too. These are two of the people that are suspected to belong in the video by @ime.are, in which (suspected) @_kllledbycain, dressed as Kakashi Hatake attacked @majored, only to be torn apart by good citizen @crispyboiz. This video is the first that we’ve seen of @majored since his last post, and he offers nothing in response to it.

JOEL: Okay. Okay. Now, you know I love a good shadow-cast of Rocky Horror. I've always wanted to play Frank. I would rock that part. Am I wrong? —he laughs— But okay, that's - count 'em - three influencers in one place? If @elidrising is there, we can assume @devinitely is too because she was in the same location as, uh, whatshername? Logan? And that's the same location as @ime.are. Who took the video of  Kakashi kicking @majored's ass. @_kllledbycain— more like killedbyKakashi, eh? Seriously why are all these people together?

JOEL: [as an afterthought] It's gotta be a cult.

JADE: November to December: Nothing happens with @majored, @ime.are also offers nothing except for quote unquote “#teamkakashi”, which is funny because they never tagged Kakashi, but anyways. Upon deeper inspection, there are videos on their Twitter from last May, of people in a fighting ring. And then people fighting on a lake? But the fighting ring looks super dangerous and I dunno, like you said, cult-y? Fight-club-y? Call it what you will. In any case, we are led to believe that this fighting has been going on for some time in the background.

JOEL: Okay, come on. That’s definitely a cult. I’ve seen the movie, can confirm. — he groans— Literally what is an Italian astrologer doing there? Wait, wait, wait. Montauk? You said Montauk. Montauk, as in on Long Island. As in like —he drops his voice to a stage-whisper— the part of Long Island that peeps believe to be the site of a government cover-up involving kidnapping, mind control, and time travel? The part that inspired Stranger Things? That Montauk? Snap. I can’t believe I didn’t put two and two together sooner. Jade, Jade. What if this is, I don’t know, like, MKUltra 2.0?

JADE: Yes, yes that Montauk, I’m glad you picked up on that. Look, I’m not saying that it’s an influencer’s-only thing, but I am saying that some might be in the area, and maybe involved. At the same time throughout all of this, we have a culmination of more influencers seeming to know this network of people. @gaborealis, an Italian astrologer, is seen in pictures of @sleepyfinch, who was also in the production of Rocky Horror, and has pictures with @crispyboiz and, god, this name is a freaking nightmare, @_kllledbycain. Not to mention this guy has many pictures of weird… family members? Who sometimes look alike? Okay, but seriously, @kodakola and @sonofpeter, how is your hair not straw at this point? Is it wigs? I think my hair would simply fall out. And y’all using Insta filters or what, cause… I’m not gonna get into it, let’s keep going.

JOEL: Maybe they're makeup vloggers or something. Gotta change up the look for views, right? Don't forget to like, comment, subscribe and uhhhh, smash that follow button— or whatever YouTubers say. —he laughs— Okay but seriously, yeah. @sonofpeter, @kodakola, whatever you two are doing to your hair, let me know because I'm trying to bleach my hair and dye it bright purple without it falling out. And since we're doing it at our next stop, well, your advice will probably be too late. But still, what are your secrets? Is it...clones?

JADE: Joel! —she’s laughing again.— Timeline and then theories. —she clears her throat— After that long silence, a Tweet emerges. January 8th. "Can’t believe @majored SPAT on me and called me a C-Blank-Blank-T when he checked into @SDFamilyMotel last night”. This places Major across the country from where we believed him to be, but acting so strangely that one must wonder… was that really him? Or was it someone that just looked like him? Or was it a cry for help? Nothing’s been heard since from @majored, which I guess… leads us to our theories. —a pause— You were saying… clones, Joel?

JOEL: Sheeeeesh, this is not @majored's year. I gotta say, this sounds totally different from the vibe that this guy used to put out on his social media. Obviously Instagram is fake blah blah blah, you know the spiel, but like. Damn. He spit on them? —a pause as he considers what his sibling has said— You know....I think that's a really good point. Was that even the real him? Will the real Ed Major please stand up?

JADE: I know. It just seems out of character, and terrible for a reputation, but it also would make sense if... One, this is a fake @majored, meant to stir up controversy before he goes underground again. And with an action like spitting on someone and calling them a name like that? Who cares what the dude does after that? Unfollowed, cancelled, whatever. And why would this guy want to go underground, well, I'm glad you're so interested. Well, the official Cryptwins theory is that maybe... just maybe, the crazy, government cover-up Montauk that we all know and love isn't that far from truth. We see that they have means of covering up shadows —she lets out a laugh— and people whose faces just change? And who else is there, @spencerkeahi, someone who explains rehabilitation, maybe someone who has experience helping people get used to being a clone? @ime.are, a nurse who enjoys taking videos of people fighting? It all adds up, people!

JOEL: Yeah, seriously. With the real @majored MIA, there would be no one to combat the backlash from this supposed...clone? Imposter? And maybe that’s what they want. Looks like Montauk isn’t the ideal vacation spot anymore, huh? Even if their seaside cabins are super chill and homey. But I digress. Something sinister is going on. Something bigger than we can even imagine. A secret underground facility that’s...cloning influencers? Training them? Your guess is as good as mine. And that’s why we’re on this road trip, isn’t that right Jade? To get some answers?

JADE: Exactly. —it sounds as though she is holding back a laugh or a cough.— Cross country roadtrip in which we explore different topics like this one, and on the way, we'll document our progress and any spooky encounters.
