I watched the asexual and aromantic communities get eaten away at by exclusionists and proto-TERFs and queer people making fun of microlabels and people who talked about how they just wanted all of us to stop dividing ourselves so much and people who decided that the concept of the Split Attraction Model was homophobic and people who flooded the ace and aro tags with porn and--
Well, you get the point.
But now a lot of people on this site don't know about ace culture and modern history, so here's some stuff you should know about:
The Asexuality Visibility and Education Network (AVEN) was started in 2001 by asexuality activist David Jay as a forum and educational space about asexuality.
A Carnival of Aces, which is a monthly blogging carnival on ace topics, has been taking place since May 2011 and has included such topics as coming out, non-traditional relationships styles and polyamory, asexual education (which I hosted), and labels and microlabels.
The Split Attraction Model is one model for talking about sexual and romantic orientation that splits out those two orientations, allowing individuals to describe sexual attraction/orientation as distinct from romantic orientation (e.g., aromantic bisexual, heteroromantic grey-asexual). While this model is primarily used by people on the ace and aro spectrums, it can be used by anyone who wants to discuss or describe sexual orientation as being separate from romantic orientation.
The AVEN triangle (or asexuality triangle) is a black and white or greyscale triangle that originated from taking the Kinsey scale and extending it down into another axis to address/acknowledge the range of attraction between what's on the Kinsey scale (allosexuality) and no sexual attraction (asexuality). It's generally presented as white at the horizontal line at the top and then black at the point at the bottom, often with a gradation of shades of grey down to the bottom.
Microlabels are specific (sometimes very narrow) labels for sexualities, romantic orientations, and genders. While these are not aro- or ace-specific, they were often associated with those communities because there was a culture of having nuanced conversations about narrow definitions, often by people couldn't find something that fit their experience in the standard L, G, B, or T lexicon. Demiromantic/demisexual, cupioromantic/cupiosexual, and quoiromantic/quoisexual are all examples of micro-labels.
The ace ring, a black ring worn on the middle finger of the right hand (generally) is a symbol of asexuality that some ace people wear. It originated on AVEN in 2005 when people were looking for a symbol that was rather covert.
Cake has also been an ace symbol, mostly from the idea that ace people agree that cake is better than sex. It used to be common to see a drawing of a cake with the ace flag colors.
The ace of (heart/spades/clubs/diamonds) has at times been used as a symbol for different ace spectrum/aro spectrum combinations. Ace of hearts is generally agreed on as alloromantic asexual and ace of spades as aromantic asexual (aroace or aro/ace). Ace of clubs is sometimes for grey-romantic asexual and ace of diamonds sometimes for demiromantic asexual, but those are less common.
Dragons were also associated with the ace community, at least on Tumblr. I'm less certain where this one came from (theories include that they're mythological creatures the way ace people are seen to be or that it's because there were headcanons that Charlie Weasley was ace).

The common rebuttal to "this reads like fanfic (derogatory)" is "read better fanfic," which is true in certain cases, but on the other hand, there is some grain of truth to the idea that you can tell when someone's primary mode of literary analysis is fanfic instead of... well... literally anything else. It's okay to like or even prefer fanfic, but if you want to take your craft seriously you also need to read books, dude. Published books will teach you a lot of stuff fanfic doesn't, like proper dialogue formatting and how to introduce your reader to unfamiliar characters. Even the crappiest book (well, if it's not After or 50 Shades, which started off as fanfic to begin with lol) will have been subjected to some sort of editing process to ensure at least the appearance of proper grammar. That's not a guarantee with your average fanfic, and hence why you can't always take all your writing cues from fanfic because it's "so much better" than commercially published original fiction or whatever. Frankly, fic writers tend to peddle some absolutist and downright bad takes sometimes. "Said is dead" is a terrible rule, though not because said is invisible and a perfectly serviceable tag; that's just part of it. Dialogue tags are a garnish, not a main dish that can be swapped out for more ostentatious words. If your characters murmur and mutter instead of simply saying stuff, your readers are going to wonder why nobody speaks up. "'I'm explaining some very plot-important shit right now lol,' she elaborated," likewise, is a form of telling. Instead of letting the reader extrapolate that "she elaborated" via the contents of the dialogue itself, you're telling them what to think about it. And that's why it's distracting: your authorial hand is showing. Writing is an act of camouflage. You, as the writer, need to make your presence as invisible as possible so as to not intrude on the reader's suspension of disbelief. That's the driving reason behind "show, don't tell." And overall, everyone could stand to cut down on the frequency of their dialogue tags anyway. Not every exchange needs "he said" or "she whispered" attached as long as you establish who is doing the talking before the exchange. Some people will complain of confusion if you go on for too long without a dialogue tag, and that definitely is a risk, but at some point you also need to resist the temptation of holding the reader's hand. If they can't follow a conversation between two people, chances are they weren't meeting you halfway and paying that much attention in the first place. In fact, you don't even necessarily need action beats in between every piece of dialogue, as Tumblr writing advice posts will often suggest as a fix. Pruning things often cleans them up just fine.
Another fanfic-influenced trend in writing is, I guess, beige prose? A heavy focus on internal narration with lots of telling. It's not a style I can concretely describe, but every time I click on a non-mutual's writing, I feel like it always has, like. This "samey" voice to it. There's no real attempt to experiment and use unique or provocative language, or even imagery half the time. It's almost a dry recital of narration that doesn't leave much room for subtext. I see this style most often in fanfic where you can meander and wax poetic about how the characters feel without ever really getting around to the plot. And it's like. DO something.
Other tells that the author is taking their cues from fanfic mores rather than books: >>too much minute description of eyes, especially their color and their movement >>doesn't leave much room for subtext (has a character speak their every thought aloud instead of letting the reader infer what they're thinking via action or implication) >>too much stage action ("X looked at Y. Y moved to push their seat in. X took a deep breath and stepped toward Y with a determined look on his face. 'We need to talk,' he said.") >>tells instead of shows, even when the example is about showing instead of telling ("he clenched his teeth in agony" instead of just "he clenched his teeth") >>has improper dialogue tag formatting, especially with putting full stops where there should be commas ("'Lol and lmao.' she said" instead of "'Lol and lmao,' she said." This one drives me up a wall) >>uses too many dialogue tags >>"em dashes, semi-colons and commas, my beloved" - I get the appeal but full stops are your friends. Too much alternate punctuation makes your writing seem stilted and choppy. >>"he's all tousled brown hair and hard muscle" and "she's all smiles and long legs." This turn of phrase is so cliche, it drives me up a wall. Find less trite ways of describing your characters pls. >>"X released a breath he didn't know he'd been holding" >>every fucking Hot Guy ever is described as lean and sinewy >>sobbing. why is everyone sobbing. some restraint, pls >>Tumblr in general tends to think a truism counts as good writing if you make the most melodramatic statement possible (bonus: if it's written in a faux-archaic way), garnish it with a hint of egotism, and toss in allusions to the Christian God, afterlife, or death. ("I will stare God in the face and walk backwards into hell," "What is a god to a nonbeliever?") It's indicative of emotional immaturity imo, that every emotional truth need be expressed That Intensely in order to resonate with people. >>pushes the "Oh." moment as the pinnacle of Romantic Epiphany >>Therapy Speak dialogue. why is this emotionally constipated forty-something man who drinks himself stupid every morning to escape gruesome war memories speaking about his trauma like a clinical psychologist >>"this well-established kuudere should Show More Emoshun. I want him to break down crying on his love interest's shoulder from all his repressed trauma" - I am begging u. stop >>"why don't the characters just talk to each other?" "why can't we have healthy relationships?" I don't know, maybe because fiction is not supposed to be a model for reality and perfect communication makes for boring drama?
>>improperly using actions as dialogue tags ("'Looks like we're going hunting,' he grinned") >>why is everyone muttering and murmuring. speak up >>too many adverbs, especially "weakly" and "shakily." use stronger verbs. ("trembled" instead of "shook weakly") >>too many epithets ("the younger man" or "the brunette detective") >>too many filter words ("he felt," "she thought," "I remembered")
>>no, Tumblr, first-person POV is not the devil; you're just using way too many filter words (see above) and not enough sentence variation to make it flow well enough. First-person POV is an actually pretty good POV (not just for unreliable and self-aware narrators) if you know what you're doing and a lot of fun crafting an engaging character voice. Tumblr's hatred of first-person baffles me, and all I can think is you would only hate it if your only frame of reference was, like, My Immortal. Have you tried reading A Book? First-person POV is just another tool in your toolbox, and like all tools, it can be used properly or improperly. But it's not inherently a marker of bad writing. The disdain surrounding it strikes me as about as sensical as making fun of the concept of characters. Oh, your work has characters in it? Ew, I automatically click off a fic if it has characters in it. like what.

Do you have any tips on for people starting a comic and wanting to post to tumblr? Like pacing ect. Or well any experience you’ve had with your comics? Love your content as well ❤️
If it’s simply for fun, and you’re just trying to gain experience, my biggest advice would be to just START. Don’t worry about it looking perfect. Don’t worry about comparing it to other’s comics. Just try something, and if you find it’s not working, you can always change things up. I have gone through several styles and page layouts since starting. Do I wish those first pages of EW looked just like what I’m doing now? Yes, but if I’d waited around for perfection I would have never started. And I wouldn’t have had nearly as much fun creating it! If people like it, that’s great, but your art is for you. If you’re growing and learning and having fun, then you’ve accomplished something!
Now for some less preachy advice 😂…
—If your comic is gonna be hosted on Tumblr specifically, I would say, make sure you keep the 10 image limit in the back of your mind when you’re pacing things. That can definitely cause some headaches down the line. If you don’t plan ahead, and end up hitting it, you’ll have a sudden cut in your flow. This last update I knew it was gonna be long, so while I did plan, but I could’ve planned better.
—Variety is key!!!!!
Composition changes keep your viewers from getting bored. Sometimes I’ll find myself falling back into the bad habit of just doing the simple back and forth with two characters talking straight on, but changing the camera angle, making establishing shots when you change locations, and over the shoulder shots, etc etc…All these will make for a more interesting viewing. You may think a character needs to be in every single panel to make it interesting, but if you have a lot of dialogue, a simple plain shot—either in top of a solid background, or just over something boring, like a glance at the set, etc—this will let people focus on the words rather than splitting their focus.
Variety applies to shading as well—whether you’re using color or black/white. Variety in values are SO important for comics. You’re shoving a ton of information in a limited space, so try to keep your values different for items that are close together….it can make things very confusing and turn your line work into indistinguishable blobs if you shade without this in mind.
(Using this panel as an example….)
The top two panels have a variety of darker values and a halftone background—so the next two with Venus, I kept rather simple. I could’ve colored the buildings behind her, but then, she might’ve gotten lost amidst all the grey. There’s not really any trick or solid rule to this, but once you develop your creative eye, you’ll make these choices without even thinking about it.
Tumblr media
A few links to helpful tools (they’re all procreate centered I’m afraid 😅)
Outline brush — a free tutorial for Procreate users. This brush kinda mimics the CPS feature that lets you create panels with a nice black outline. I used this brush very often, and it really gives your panels a professional look. Fair warning, it can be glitchy, but it’s free…
Manero Comic Bubbles and sfx — These brushes are not free, so I would recommend maybe getting in your groove before you try them out. They’re by no means necessary, but I’ve just started using them, and they save me so much time. There’s a HUGE selection of shapes, and they go on with a solid white background, so you don’t have to worry about coloring around your dialogue balloons.

Dyeing/Cutting Your Hair Headcanons!
All ROTTMNT boys x gn reader (romantic+established relationship)
Tumblr media
[Requested from Quotev. Requests currently CLOSED] Posted 10/31/23, happy Halloween!
On a whim, you decided it was time to change up your look
You’ve had this hair length and color for a long while, and it was time to change things up for once!
So impulsively, you booked the soonest appointment to your hair salon, deciding that it would be a surprise for your boyfriend as well
You directed the hairdresser the way you wanted your hair, the shade of the color(s), and by the end of it, you could barely recognize the person in the mirror, but you couldn’t be happier to see the new you with your new hair style!
You just hoped your boyfriend would be happy with your new look!!
Raph
Wasn’t expecting the new change, but loved it anyway!
He really doesn't care what you change your hair to, or even if you got a new tattoo or piercing, he just love you
No matter what you look like he loves you either way, but he thinks your new haircut and color is amazing
“Wow! Your new look is awesome, [n/n]!”
“Ooh, and that color is perfect for you too!”
He’ll throw a thumbs up as well, smiling cause he just loves you so much
Will stare at your new hair for a bit, he’s just absorbing the new look
Overall, thinks you look lovely per usual!
Bonus points if you get it dyed red though, he’ll blush a bit more than normal
Leo
He’s a very go-with-the-flow kinda guy, so despite you not impulsively cutting/dyeing your hair before while you two were together, he’s not surprised when you impulsively do it
“Wow babe, you look good!”
“That color is really working for you!”
Will ask for a turn around from you so he can get a 360 of your new hair
Will probably touch your new hair too (unless you two explicitly stated boundaries when it comes to not touching your hair) just because he wants to
Bonus points if you get it dyed blue, will tease you about it specifically, and very much would love your new hair more if you had it dyed his signature color
“What, you love me so much you had to dye your hair blue? Can’t get me out of your head, huh?”
Mikey
Surprised and screamed cause he thinks you look amazing (not that you don’t normally look amazing, but you know what I mean)
Not actually sad he didn’t know about it but would’ve been happier to know about it at least right before you got it cut and dyed
“Ohmigosh [n/n]! Why didn’t you tell me?” He pouts “I so would’ve joined you or helped you pick out a shade of color!”
“Not that you don’t look amazing, because you do! I just like doing things with you!”
Would appreciate to know and go with you next time because he loves spending time with you and wants to experience it with you in the future if/when you get it cut/dyed again
Bonus points if you dye it orange, will fond over it
“Aww and your hair is orange now too! I love it so much!”
Donnie
Would definitely like to know ahead of time
He wanted to be mentally prepared for the new look
He likes to be an organized and somewhat prepared guy, so when you come to the lair with a new haircut and color he has to do a bit of a double take
Tries to be so supportive though
“W-wow, [y/n], your hair-“ and he smiles a bit awkwardly
It’s not that he’s mad at you, just a bit disappointed he didn’t know ahead of time
He still thinks you look handsome and beautiful and loves you no matter what! Just wants to know changes like this ahead of time is all
“You look good!”
Bonus points if you dye it purple, likes that you (probably) thought of him when choosing that color, will tease you lovingly like Leo
“Purple suits you well, [y/n].” And he smirks
Overall loves your new look, even if it did take him by surprise at first!

I can I request a Poseidon NSFW alphabet please?🥰
So, before you read I have to make some assumptions: the first is that this alphabet has been made as canon as possible; the second is that for this very reason it may not be liked. Having said that, I'll leave you with the reading.
Tumblr media
POSEIDON: NSFW ALPHABET
Tumblr media
A: aftercare <what they're like after sex>
Poseidon is definitely not the type to cuddle and cradle his lover profusely, he doesn’t see the need for it and for him it’s a waste of precious time; however, once the love sessions are over, he stays awake, watching over your sleep and observing your sleeping body, without letting even an inch of skin escape. It’s his way of taking care of you.
B: body part <their favourite body part on them and you>
His favorite part is his hair: always so perfect and cared for, he loves running his hands through it and feeling it soft like golden waves; only he can do it, no one else is granted such freedom. The part of you that he prefers are the eyes: so sparkling and vivid, they change color according to the shades of the sea, and he stares at them whenever you’re busy doing something and so you can’t notice his gaze. Sometimes he finds himself thinking about what would happen if he stole them from you.
C: cum <anything to do with it, really>
Poseidon doesn’t like to see his sperm: it’s the most obvious symbol of his weakness for you, his need for you, and he sees it as a huge flaw in his perfection, something no one should know. But if he cums inside you, who can know the truth? Of course you won’t tell anyone...you just have to try.
D: dirty secret <a dirty secret of theirs>
Before penetrating you, Poseidon loves, LOVES, to put you in the most awkward and painful positions to test your resistance. If you’re really going to be around him, you have to prove you’re capable of it: bear the pain without complaining, know how to stand up to him, and take the pleasure yourself. If you know how to do it, he will have nothing against giving you the fun you want, but you have to earn it, and hard too.
E: experience <how experienced are they>
Poseidon doesn’t have much experience because, before you, his body and mind have rarely made him understand that he needs another person. Moreover, this is not his problem, but yours: you will have to teach him everything, whether you are more experienced than him or not. And don’t leave anything out!
F: favourite position <self-explanatory>
Doggy style: he doesn’t have to look you in the eyes, plus in this position he can dominate you as he wishes, pull your hair, grab your buttocks and make you scream as and how much he wants. Good luck!
G: goofy <would they use humor in the moment?>
He NEVER smiles or jokes in any way, much less while he is fucking you unconscious. In these moments he is even more serious and silent than usual, neither your moans nor your praises elicit the slightest smile from him. A statue.
H: hair <how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the courtains?>
They match and yes, he’s well-groomed (he doesn’t even have to make too much effort because he’s not very hairy there). He cares a lot about his hygiene and to present himself as tidy as possible, so you won’t have to reproach him for anything.
I: intimacy <are they romantic in the moment or they do not care?>
Poseidon is rarely romantic: few caresses and only a few kisses, he prefers to use his hands to torment all your most sensitive points and squeeze you so hard that he takes your breath away. However, it may happen that sometimes a little sweetness flows through his veins and then he touches you more delicately and repeatedly strokes your hair and back, whispering something nice to you.
J: jack off <...self-explanatory part 2>
He never does it because there is no need to: he rarely gets turned on if you’re not there next to him, it always happens in your presence. It is another of the skills that he must recognize.
K: kinks <their kinks>
The Tyrant of the Seas loves to see you wriggling under him, so his kinks must involve something that causes torment (but not necessarily pain): however, there must be no marks on your skin, everything must look perfect… therefore, he would probably have a tickle kink. He would also do it to see how much you resist and with what spirit you face the torture, and furthermore the sound of your increasingly loud and uncontrolled laughters would give him enormous pleasure. What a benevolent god he has.
L: location <where they usually do the do>
His entire palace is one big place where you can bend to his will. The servants quickly disappear at the first moan you emit, everything is silent, there is only you two: there could be no better nest where to test your love.
M: motivation <what turns them on>
Whenever you show yourself haughty and imperious, with that high chin and attitude worthy of who owns the world, he can’t help but feel invaded by the urge to take you on the spot and roll you under him to see how much your composure remains so. If you are in a private place, it will do without ifs and buts; if, on the other hand, you are in public, he will wait for the right moment to push you against the closest wall or the first hidden corner and give vent to his urges.
N: no <things they refuse to do>
Seeing yourself covered in fluids of all kinds (and not water), or dirty in some way. The slightest stain, even a tiny one, sinks his pleasure, there’s nothing that can fix it and make him interested in you again until you’ve cleaned up or changed clothes. Even then, however, it takes a while before he gets close to you again.
O: oral <do they like giving or receiving?>
He prefers to receive than give, the feel of your soft lips around his cock is one of the things he learned to love quickly. He is also good at giving, but before he does it you have to entertain him with your skills for a long time, and only after that he will decide what to do. And you have to swallow all of this sperm.
P: pace <are they slow and sensual or fast and rough>
It depends on the mood, but initially slow. Then, as your moans become more frequent and louder, he speeds up and the sex becomes not necessarily rough but certainly much more animated.
Q: quickie <would they fuck you for five minutes or wait until you wait home?>
Often and willingly, since you are always available. Remember that your personal duties, of whatever kind, will always come after him, so if he asks, you answer; otherwise, he will come and pick you up.
R: risk <...DUH>
He’s not a lover of it: he’s quite habitual and not interested in experimenting, you already manage to give him what satisfies him, so why try something new? That would be a waste of time.
S: stamina <how long can they last?>
He has considerable energy, so prepare for multiple sex sessions throughout the night, each of them quite long - unless he gets tired first, of course. If he sees that you can’t stand it anymore he stops, but he does it reluctantly, and asks you to train your resistance to be able to keep up with him in the next few times. What a bi-
T: toys <do they own any? do they use them?>
Just the word bothers him, let alone seeing them around the room. He doesn’t need it like you don’t need it: you are enough for each other.
U: unfair <how much they like to tease>
A lot, really a lot: from the orgasm denial to pulling back in the middle of intercourse because something you did didn’t go his way - and then he makes you pay by starting to tickle you until you’re about to pass out -this god is the ultimate expression of the unfair in the bedroom. I am very sorry for you.
V: volume <are they asking for a noise complaint, or are they quiet?>
Not a sound, not even a moan. Dead silence compensated by your voice, which in all this silence is even higher and clearer. At least while it lasts!
W: wild card <a random headcanon☆>
If you ask him to have sex in the sea, he can’t help but grab you and fulfill your desire. He takes you where you can’t touch and watches your every move as you try to stay afloat and meanwhile you have to deal with his hands, his mouth and his intimacy that overbearingly demands attention, all while the waves play against you. But it was you who wanted it, so you can’t complain about anything.
X: x-ray <what to they look like under there?>
This god doesn’t have a huge fish, but he knows how to use it against - inside, pardon - you and that’s enough. It is medium long and smooth, slightly thicker at the base.
Y: yearning <are they in the mood to fuck or are they tame?>
Not very high: sex is not among his priorities and he is not the horniest person you can meet, however if he gets excited it can be difficult for him to control himself and he must satisfy his urges as soon as possible.
Z: zzz <how quickly they fall asleep afterwards>
Before sleeping, Poseidon loves to contemplate you for a long time; only when he is satisfied with your sight will he follow you to sleep, without any thought or concern to cloud his mind.

I love your art style so much. 😅
Do you have any tips for coloring/shading or just tips to draw bodies (I can't do any without them being weird) ??
Have a nice day, :)
I’m glad sweetie
And of course I can give some tip I use!
I have to say I have many ways of shading and lighting so I will share my usual and then add some new one I have been experimenting
First: don’t do shadow on multiply ,that’s for later, shadows and lights are made on a mask layer and they are not just the darker shade of the colors, but a different color entirely
Same with lighting.
Some colors are easier than others for me tbh, like I love shading red and purple but blue not that much.
Tumblr media
I also usually put blue everywhere cuz it looks pretty but it’s on me honestly
(Obviously I decrease the opacity of some layers, there is not really a rule, I just go as I like)
If it’s a style choice I also do shadow in light blue multiply, but just if I am in a rush or working with flat colors
Tumblr media
Second: choose how you want to smooth your shading and light.
Over the years I picked up my own way to do it but lately I have been a little experimenting.
Anyway i always start of with defining shadows then get to smoothing, it’s tempting but I don’t advise the use of the airbrush, just use it for lighting maybe.
( I want to be clear. This is my style, other artist may say the contrary)
I am one of those artists that clears the shadows from the inside to the most exterior part
Tumblr media
Just how you can see here.
All the cleaning is made with a soft brush cuz it doesn’t have to be too definite.
In my latest comic tho the shooting was made the other way around with a water color brush to give this kind of 3d effect.
You essentially have to make some tests and find the one that you prefer.
Third: apply a layer of shadow in multiply to give more volume .
Usually when the work is done I add another layer of multiplied shadows that won’t be smoothed, just in the places that would cast a neat shadow, like a cape on the body, some fabric folds and some body shadows.
It really make things pop.
Four: don’t exaggerate, simpler is better, in both shadows and lighting, experiment , find your way but don’t rush , there is no need to exaggerate
Five: the subject of your drawing should be affected by the atmosphere.
For example if it’s night you can put a blue multiply layer over and erase where the soft light is, or don’t be afraid of adding some gradients of light is it’s a bright day outside, make the character be a part of the backgrounds
Six: you can color your lineart, it make the drawing very fine
That’s it mostly, I mostly go on the flow and I always test and try new stuff and you should try too to find you preferred way to do this stuff.
I want to say again that THIS is MY WAY of doing stuff, you can totally disagree and have your own way, I hope this way useful

Related to FallenClan designs! All your designs are super amazing, what’s your simplifying process/how do you decide design for cat pelts? Cause I always struggle with simplifying/deciding how they look especially bengals and cats with white patches… thanks if you respond!
I’m ADHD and struggle with consistency and simplifying lol, though more complex designs are pretty, I lean more towards what you do w/ you’re cats as they are simple but still super pretty + it makes it easier to consistently draw them all for stuff like this! (These comic like moon updates :])
(Also hope none of this came off as offensive, it’s all meant positively! I really really admire you and your designs :])
ty for the compliments!!! very sweet ask and I shall do my best to give a good response o7
generally my method with designing characters/drawing is to just wing it. fuck it we ball basically. but i DO take a lot of inspiration from other people's warriors art, taking the time to analyze what i like about their styles and what different sorts of patterns i can use
(i also regularly consult the Clangen Sprite Guide for better looks at white patches/tortie patterns and such, highly recommend)
the first thing i decide when i'm designing a new cat is what fur texture i want them to have. i have four that I pick from (pictured below, in order), wavy, spiky, curly, and square.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i decide the fur pattern based on the cat's personality (a more stoic cat might have square fur, while someone more bubbly might have curly, or someone more excitable have spiky, so on and so on), and also based on their parents/how many cats i've designed with that fur pattern recently.
after that is snout shape, which is probably my favorite part. i love to draw cats with a very pronounced snout, not unlike an oriental shorthair, but i generally slide around between that and a more typical, stubby snout, occasionally veering off into the very square snout of a maine coon. this is also a great spot to determine how sharp you want their jaw to be, which is something that can really help set a design apart! (a couple of snout examples below)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
then i usually move onto colors. i like to pick an undertone for the cat first, so i know what sort of pallate to work with. as you can see in the pictures below, ravenstar has a purple/blue undertone, and toadbelly has orange/red undertones
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this helps me make all the colors look nicer together, so i don't end up doing something like making a very warm colored cat with blue-toned white patches (which would make the white patches look super cold/too bright), which can be a really cool stylistic choice, but isnt what i tend to go for
once i've drawn out the cats fur shape and picked my colors, i'll move onto the base coat. over my time of having the fallenclan blog i've discovered that having a very simple pattern underneath the normal pattern can add a lot of visual interest to a cat, and make them look less plain.
here's a good example! one of the first cats i designed, oaktuft. their pattern was super basic--one base color, plus the inside of the ears, and then the color of their patterns.
Tumblr media
and here's another cat that i designed a little more recently--Shiverspots! you can see that even just the small change of adding a bit of a lighter color to her underbelly made a world off difference. plus my style got a lot more defined lol
Tumblr media
i have a couple of different base patterns that i use. here's a few more examples. i've even started to experiment with more than two colors!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
once i've got the base done i move onto patterns. this part can definitely be tricky; trying to make a dozen brown tabbies with short fur be distinct can be . a challenge. i like to follow the steps of what i've already designed--a cat with spiky fur might have very sharp, angular stripes, and a cat with curly fur might have much rounder ones.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i think a good rule of thumb for if your pattern feels a little too basic is just to throw some more colors in there. another shade of orange, a more pale tint to some of them, whatever. and don't be afraid to erase it and start again! sometimes a design just won't work, and thats fine :)
the final thing i do is to add little design quirks. a particularly sharp jawline, downturned eyes, a crooked smile or a gap tooth, whatever! little things can really give your cats character.
i really hope that this helped!!!

Eggtober 30th 2023
Tumblr media
"Mimicking the Master": Fried Egg on Magenta.
(Clip Studio Paint, Custom 6B Pencil brush. ? Colors. ? Time. A labor of love.)
Made a point of giving @quezify's style a serious try. Eggtober 1st, 2023 was a quick attempt to learn and practice for the most part. This was a combination of directly studying and experimenting. Eggtober 1st was more about "glance at the inspo, notice the vibes, make it your own." This was much more about "pay attention to what these techniques accomplish, try to copy the specific things you like, and then see if you can iterate."
I do still need more practice since I'm not used to this process but for a first, real, non-traced and non-direct study, (as in I wasn't trying to replicate a specific piece one-to-one) this went really well. Not 100% sure what I was going for with some of my choices, but the over-all impact has a lot of what I love about @quezify's style.
3rd Egg I did for the day. Queued for the 30th so I have time to plan the 31st. Not sure what it will be but I'm looking forward to it.
I hope @lady-quen's breadbugs love this stylized eggy!
And even though he's been tagged twice, one more ding for @quezify, inimitable, even while I study that style. The master of eggs. I've loved watching your work all month and I loved taking a crack (pun intended) at actually pegging down what you're doing. You're fucking amazing, Ruben. One last egg for the month! We can do it, bud!
But first, speedpaint.
You can tell I'm really not used to using brushes that are so opaque. I gotta practice doing gradients with opaque brushes like this. Or maybe I need to turn down the opacity on the pencil brush. Or maybe I need to blend my style and Ruben's a bit more?
Whatever it is. I'm somewhere short of where I want to be in terms of a style mimic. Not that I want to steal @quezify's style per se, though it is rad as fuck. More that knowing how it works and what this method of drawing produces is a useful tool to have. After all, half of art is inventing stuff and the other half is aping stuff you like, whether that's real world references or copying from masters. So I might need a little more practice, but the blob-tacular shading and the hatching and the use of shapes as texture are all definitely tools that are going in the tool bag one of these days. XD
Been an honor drawing for everyone. I look forward to next year!

Can you tell us what the answers to the six of crows color experiment is?
Yep! ☺️
I realised too late that I really should’ve organised it as a poll somehow, because I’ve had loads of responses (thank you all very much) and whilst a lot of them agreed with me there were a few I wasn’t expecting. My associations in the order than I wrote them in the original post:
Red - Nina
Green - Jesper
Black - Kaz
Blue - Matthias
Purple - Inej
Orange - Wylan
So generally speaking a lot of people either agreed with exactly what I’d said or swapped Wylan and Jesper, which makes a lot of sense. A few people also moved Jesper and Inej around, which I understand and I wanted to add on that point I always connect Inej to purple with the idea of her reclaiming the colour and its power in the same way that she referred to her knives as her “proper claws” to reclaim the image of the lynx. Purple is the colour that was used against her and the colour that represents Ketterdam (Stadwatch uniforms, colour of Kruge notes, and the Geldrenner Ketterdam suite being the main examples); with a part of what separates Inej’s journey and her ship from Kaz’s style of vengeance is the acknowledgement that the city itself is the monster she’s facing, she’s been forced to come to terms with the idea that what happened to her wasn't the result of one terrible person or group of terrible people, but a dangerous environment and society that was never going to see her as an equal go matter what she did in life (this realisation is particularly linked to the “Rare Spices” billboard, which I wrote a post on a while back so if anyone wants to read that let me know and I’ll tag you) so by reclaiming the colour she is not only reclaiming the power Heleen took from her but the city as a whole. I hope I worded that all okay I worry that my point doesn’t come across properly it feels unclear please let me know and I’ll try to explain it differently. However I also understand the perspective a few people raised in their responses of wanting to separate her from that colour because she should always be seen as more than who she was forced to be, it’s just my personal interpretation that part of her pathway to healing is reclaiming the symbols used against her as a symbol of power to use against the system and people that put her in her position.
With Jesper and Wylan, I can definitely see it going both ways and I guess it also depends on what shades of the colours you’re imagining for each of them. For me, Wylan is orange because it can be a quiet, beautiful sunrise but it can also be fire and rage, it can be dark and deeply lonely but it can also be bright and blazing, it can be the first light of home in the dark but it can also be the flames of righteousness. “You were angry. I needed you righteous” “well, you’ve got me”. I realise all/most colours have a natural dual nature but I think orange does particularly and I think that it compliments him wonderfully. I connect Jesper to green for brightness, fun, the “lime green” clothes and vibrant plaid, but also for the farm and the card tables and the painful difference between them - the way his life split in two like a log cut down the middle (I don’t have my book with me so not quoting, but he says something along those lines in Crooked Kingdom when talking about how he ended up moving from the university to the Barrel).
I think the one’s who were always connected the same way were Nina to red and Kaz to black, and I wanted to add a couple of reasons I didn’t see anyone mention yet and that would be Nina being the “little red bird” and Kaz wearing black, mercher suits to mock them and to look, by Ketterdam’s colour-represented social hierarchy that I could talk about forever, like he fits in with them in the upper echelon of society.
And most people also maintained Matthias with blue, connections to water, ice, storms, but I think also it’s worth emphasising his blue eyes that Nina finds so beautiful
I will go through later and tag everyone who has responded so far in this post so everyone can see the results if they want to, thanks to everyone who responded ❤️

Some Modern Aemond Headcanons:
Hey y'all! So the votes were pretty close, but by a slim majority it looks like one post per character was the winner! 🥳 I also just have too many ideas for certain characters! So I'm going to start with my favorite, the man, the myth the legend, Aemond himself. My internet is going to be a little spotty for the next few days, since I'm going to be moving, but stay with me! I'll get them all on here at some point :)
Tumblr media
He has a big black/gray great dane named Vhagar. I saw someone else say he’d have a great dane, and I totally agree!
He experimented with different colors for his false eye, blue, green, maybe even the signature Targaryen lavender. But ultimately he settles with the sapphire blue stone. It’s different, and makes him feel badass, but also a little pretty :)
Mans is the embodiment of dark academia, from style to work ethic. He’d be a double major in philosophy, and history. Maybe a minor in business, just in case Aegon somehow convinces Alicent and Viserys to give him the family business instead him. He’d still be the CFO or something, but CEO does have a better ring to it…
He'd get his own apartment as soon as possible. He doesn't like having roommates all up in his business. He refused to stay in a dorm room with a total stranger, so he and Aegon teamed up for once to convince Alicent to let them do an apartment together instead. But after a year or so, Aemond needed his own space… Aegon isn’t exactly neat and tidy sometimes.
Speaking of his apartment, I think Aemond would be pretty minimalist. He doesn't super love clutter. But his office might be the one exception. Since he's a double major with a minor, he's got a lot of textbooks, and novels lying around. Unlike Helaena, he's not a collector, or a huge fan of nic nacs. But he does have his posh tea, and I think he'd have a small collection of about 3 or 4 daggers.
It would be interesting to see him with an s/o that is a collector, he'd probably end up designating a part of his house to them for all their little things. He could handle a small corner or bookshelf, but it grows on him overtime. And he gets secretly a little excited every time they bring something new home. "Hey look what I got at the antique store today!" "Add it to the shelf love :)"
Definitely a smoker. He knows it’s a bad habit, but he’s not super driven to quit either. It’s a stress reliever, and it gives him something to do while thinking. Helps him process stuff. (also it’s just kind of hot to think of Aemond with a leather coat and a cigarette, plus that motorcycle I mentioned earlier…)
Black is his favorite color/shade, at least for clothing and interior decorating. But ever since he was a kid he's had a thing for blue, a deep ocean, sapphire blue. That's probably why he settles on the blue sapphire for his eye.
Modern boyfriend Aemond would be a secret romantic I think. He didn't really have many girlfriends if any in high school. He'd have had his first kiss and all that, but they weren't really on his radar. Part of me thinks Aemond would be with someone a slightly more extroverted than himself. They would get him out of the house a little more, even if it's just to take Vhagar for a longer evening walk than usual.
I think one of his love languages would be gift giving. He can be a little closed off sometimes, so when words seem to fail him, he'd find a way through gifts. They'd range from a bouquet of your favorite flowers, to a private dinner at the nicest restaurant in town. You saw a dress, or top you liked online? It would be nicely wrapped in a box on your bed within the next couple days.
He needs someone with patience. He's insecure about his eye sometimes, (not all the time, cause I feel like he has some days where he's totally feeling it). He might take a while to let down some walls, but when he does, you can read him like a book. You see him squint a little at something his brother said? You know he's annoyed and wants to change the subject.
Looovvessss dark chocolate. More particularly though, he loves chocolate covered espresso beans. It's his snack when studying.
He runs cold, he has an extra layer with him at all times. Sometimes it's a sweater under his leather jacket, or a scarf Alicent made him tucked into his bag.

hi! i love your art and what really sticks out to me is your grasp of form (like how you can depict a person with just a few lines) and how you arrange shapes and colors
is there a way you studied that, if at all? i'm looking to improve both things i listed as i think my art looks pretty flat lol again i love your art and you're a major source of inspo :)!!
aww omg first of all thank you so much! second, seeing this message made me really excited because this is something i'm very mindful of and really enjoy about other peoples art so i feel really honored to fit into that description! to answer your question directly: i used to paint abstract and i think i have learned a lot about shapes and color from that experience as well as studying other abstract artists.
while painting i found it liberating to use difficult and/or hard to maneuver brushes. there is a lack of control that comes with attempting to paint with a cloth or the rough end of a broken crayon that can make the creative process feel less restrictive. this is absolutely possible to do with figurative art as well. the key for me was to let the brush strokes dictate the shapes and not put too much focus on making a silhouette look 'realistic'. another thing i really love to do is to paint with 'negative space'. back when i was painting with oils i would often paint several layers of solid color and 'carve' shapes into the canvas with something like a palette knife. this is a basic layering technique that i use for digital art as well. u can see a sort of example of that with these drawings that i have posted:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
it is essentially two layers, a solid color background with another solid color on top of it that i erased parts of to make a silhouette. i find this method not only to be a lot of fun, but the contrast between void and life makes you take the form a lot into consideration. another thing i like to do is to use a big, hard to maneuver brush and create the silhouette by painting the shaded, darker parts first. while that works really well with solid colors and flats, it can definitely be used for any sort of talent and style. using these two very different illustrations i have done as an example:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
of course this is a matter of taste and style (like no need to use these strong contrasts and overwhelming shadows, that's just what i like to do lol) but these methods where sort of my gateway to getting a better understanding of shape and form. as for colors, i can only recommend to try and mess around with it but from experience i think some sort practice with figuring out how to balance different shades of black really helps.
my tip! if you are into character drawings, try illustrating a character as if they were only one solid color, build out their shape without sketching beforehand, let your hands go wild, then try to fill in the solids with details. or do the reverse, fill a paper with nothing but color (even graphite works great!) and try to make the silhouette by erasing. let the materials you use decide the outcome of shapes then consider what works and what doesn't, then do it again! and keep an open mind! what didn't use to make any sense eventually will (-:

Can I get Dethklok with a pastel goth reader?
You sure can!
Pastel Goth x Dethklok
Nathan Explosion:
Judges a little bit on what you wear because he might not find it “brutal” enough at first
However, he does eventually come around and he begrudgingly allows you to pastel him up.
The big guy acts like he’s above being pampered and getting makeup thrown on him, but truthfully he doesn’t mind at all. As long as you’re the one doing it, he’s happy.
Asks a couple of questions about being pastel goth, and you guys have in depth conversations about it.
Develops a respect and understanding for pastel goths, and considers it to be brutal. Also, he just admires how cute and sexy your outfits are, regardless of the color scheme.
If anyone dares to make fun of you, he simply holds you closer and ignores them, asking a little hesitantly if you’re okay when you’re both alone.
Pickles:
His past experience with makeup from Snakes n Barrels definitely helps him understand your style more. He for sure helps you with your eyeliner, and he takes the time to admire your beauty.
Isn’t crazy about the pale colors, but incorporated with black is pretty cool.
Literally as long as you feel confident, he supports you no matter what
He’s all about supporting what makes people feel comfortable in their own skin (trans pickles hc is incorporated here)
He is all about picking out the gothic parts of your outfit, while you pick out the pastel parts. Team effort, he’s a fuckin’ sweetie.
Because he’s such a sweetheart, if there’s a chance that you get made fun of in public for how you look, you hardly think about it because pickles knocked them right to the floor in one foul punch. And he will reassure you and show you off.
Murderface:
Somewhat misogynistic at first depending if you present as feminine. He’s like “of coursh women have to ruin the goth look!”
He might make some bad jokes about you being goth and you might have to playfully punch him.
He doesn’t want a single person to judge you, especially in public. He will curse someone out if anybody tries to bark at you or is just an asshole.
After some time, Murderface might start to dress a bit more gothic, experimenting with mascara and eyeliner. You have to help the poor bass player, but you don’t mind at all. Having him in your grasp is just euphoric in itself. And no matter how much he pisses and moans, he likes it too.
Couldn’t tell the difference between pastel goths and e-people for a while, and you had to explain it to him a few times before he understood.
Overall, he’s pretty cool about it, but it takes him some time.
Toki:
It’s no secret that the Norwegian has some personality traits that are similar to that of a child. Does not make him a child, but it makes him appreciate the usage of softer colors.
Is an absolute sweetheart and can watch you model pastel gothic outfits for him all day. He’ll even make it like there’s a runway for you, snapping some photos with a wide smile on his face.
Will actually kill somebody if they judge how you look. He will lay them out like that one guy in that one episode. (I’m great at references, I know.)
He fucking adores you and will 100% support right from the get go, and will ask to come along when you go clothes shopping.
The guitarist definitely likes to pamper himself up too, and he would love to match some outfits with you :) he will even do his hair the same way you do yours, although you might need to fix it.
I’m probably biased because toki is my actual husband and I love him so so much
Skwisgaar:
The lead guitarist is a little bit weary at first, but here’s the reality; he fucking loves the feminine form. If it’s shown off in any way, he will not care what you wear. Hell, he thinks you could pull off wearing a trash bag.
He preferably likes it when you mix baby blue into the mix, because his eyes are nearly that shade. He wants to be a part of you in that way, and you definitely comply.
He likes to wear white and black, not so much pastel colors. However, he tries his best. He might surprise you with baby blue elements in his outfit, or maybe a light pink accent.
Absolutely gives no fucks about what anybody thinks about you, and his voice echoes through your ears instead of what some jackoff said.
He won’t mind if you try to do his makeup, but he’s actually pretty proficient at it himself. When you’re mad about how your makeup didn’t turn out right, he’ll fix it delicately with the swipe of the thumb, or the extra bit of mascara.
All in all, he’s supportive and thinks you look just as attractive in that style, if not more!
Aaaa thank you for another suggestion! I tried. Also, just got back from the dethklok concert :3
If y’all like the stories please give me a follow! I would really appreciate it and would give me initiative to keep writing!

Hi!! I was wondering if its okay to ask what brushes u normally use in krita? I love your art!!
Thank you so much!!! I only use the ones available in Krita by default and I tend to jump around based on what I think will work best for each piece, but I can give a little rundown on which ones I use the most and what I use them for :)
Here's an image guide with each of the brushes I've used and that I recommend checking out:
Tumblr media
I'll highlight my favorites as well with some examples where they were predominantly used! (though in some cases multiple or even all of these brushes were used)
Marker Details:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Varying opacity and size makes this one my favorites for sketching, especially since it can easily be nearly transparent or fully opaque which helps with value range.
I also like using it for silhouette sketches!
It can also be used for final linework, but it takes more work to get to a full opaque and its lack of texture makes it a little less interesting than Ink-7 Brush Rough imo.
Ink-7 Brush Rough:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Really good for linework, especially for comic styled drawings with it's slight texture, varying weight, and opaqueness.
Also good for just filling in entire areas with a single color as well as non-smoothed shading!
Wet Bristles Rough:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Actually just an amazing brush, its pressure sensitivity is crazy.
Blends strokes like paint and can vary in size and opacity.
Also has a nice subtle texture!
Amazing for smoother coloring and shading, especially if you want a more painterly style.
Watercolor Texture:
Tumblr media
(hard to show examples of this, just assume that I've used it in any piece that has smooth shading lol)
Not the best for painting/drawing on its own, however I've found it to be really useful when set to white or black on an overlay layer for adding extra shading and/or highlighting on top of the shading I've already done.
I usually shade individual figures, objects, and parts separately, but using an overlay layer with Watercolor Texture (or even Shapes Square) on top of everything helps make the entire piece feel more cohesive.
Also adds a hint more texture!
Another thing to note is the importance of layer modes!
Tumblr media
I know that you asked about brushes specifically, but many of these brushes (particularly those to do with effects and textures) work best when experimenting with different layer modes other than Normal. Overlay is generally a safe bet and most of the best for, well, overlaying multiple layers for interesting effects. But please try out all of them at any given opportunity, sometimes things like Burn, Color Dodge, Soft Light, etc can have more interesting effects!
In addition, mess with filter masks! You can even edit where they apply by drawing on the mask directly! HSV/HSL Adjustment (also accessible with ctrl+u) in particular is INSANELY useful for fiddling with the colors and balance of a piece, from individual layers to whole groups and drawings. I also really like blur filters, often times I'll duplicate a layer and make the bottom one blurred to add a glow affect to something without losing its definition.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
While this latter stuff isn't about brushes specifically, its generally very important to how I use and experiment with all these different brushes!
Anyways I hope this helps!! I kinda went overboard with this post, but I had a lot of fun writing it! Thank you again for the wonderful ask!! :)

Shigaraki NSFW Alphabet (18+)
Tumblr media
Minors don’t interact
Warnings: Quirkless AU, rough sex, period sex, fem-reader
A = Aftercare (what they’re like after sex)
Honestly, he’s a jerk. He doesn’t really care about the cleanup or check-ins. He’ll probably just take off to do whatever he pleases when you’re done fucking.
B = Body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
Shigaraki just about hates every part on his body, but if he was obligated to choose, he’d pick his hands. They’re the source of all his control.
On you? Probably your hair. He likes to touch it and even tug on it when you’re fucking. If we’re talking about more erogenous areas, he likes both your tits and ass.
C = Cum (anything to do with cum, basically)
His cum is kind of a gross color and definitely tastes awful. He prefers to cum either inside or on your face. He likes to defile and claim you and gets off at the idea.
D = Dirty secret (pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
What he wouldn’t give to fuck you in front of his friends. To show off how pretty you are and how well he fucks you. The thought makes his cock twitch, but he’d only execute it if you were down.
E = Experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they’re doing?)
Aside from a few handjobs and one lowsy blowjob, he has no experience. To be frank, he’s got some things to learn because sex can be a hit or miss. He’s not very meticulous with his movements, but he’s eager to make you cum, so he definitely tries. He’ll get better, just give him some time.
F = Favorite position (this goes without saying)
Doggy. Sometimes you on top. He loves how deep he can thrust in doggy and how tight you feel. The control and exposure of doggy style turn him on.
G = Goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.)
He will tease the shit out of you.
H = Hair (how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the drapes? etc.)
Shiggy shaves every now and then. He usually doesn’t let himself grow too long, but he’ll go a bit without shaving in between times. It’s darker than his hair, but kind of a dark blue shade. Black when his hair turns white.
I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)
He’s not very romantic I’m afraid. It can get passionate, yes, but he’s not sappy or heartfelt.
J = Jack off (masturbation headcanon)
Every day, or every couple of days. He gets horny regularly. He beats his meat in either one of three places: his bed, his gaming chair, or the shower. He usually watches porn, unless he’s in the shower.
K = Kink (one or more of their kinks)
Degradation is his biggest kink. Mostly with him insulting you, calling you a slut mostly. He’s almost vanilla, just with some roughish sex mixed in. He’s not much for intense pain play, but he definitely enjoys pulling your hair or spanking you.
L = Location (favorite places to do the do)
His bedroom for the most part. When his roommates aren’t home, though, he’ll fuck you just about anywhere.
M = Motivation (what turns them on, gets them going)
Either anger or you just being hot as fuck gets him going. If you walk around in something skimpy and he’s ready for the taking.
N = No (something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)
Anything involving cutting or blood (except one thing, which I’ll get to later). He’s not interested in mutilating either of you.
O = Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.)
He likes to receive more than give. To be honest, you’re going to have to encourage him to freshen up before you suck his cock. He will go down on you if you request it, he’s not opposed by any means, and he’s not horrible at it.
P = Pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)
He loves and craves a rough fuck. He’s got a lot of internal rage, and sometimes taking it out on your pussy is the best stress relief, in his opinion.
Q = Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)
He’d prefer a proper session, to be honest. He doesn’t really see the point in a quickie because he doesn’t like rushing to cum.
R = Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.)
Hell yea. He’s definitely not against trying new things. He’s a bit of an exhibitionist too, so fucking you in the next room while his roommates can hear? Yes.
S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?)
He can go for about 3 times consecutively. He tends to cum relatively quick. He’s got a lot of cum to spare.
T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)
He has had a couple of pocket pussies. He likes watching you use dildos on yourself. He also has rope to tie you up with.
U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)
He will absolutely torment you. He’ll overstim, teasingly degrading you, or edge you as much as he pleases.
V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)
He’s pretty noisy. He growls a lot and also moans. The rasp in his voice makes him sound a bit funny.
W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character)
The one exception that he’ll make with blood is period sex. At first he thought he wouldn’t like it but he gets horny and hates to wait until you’re done bleeding. So one day he decided that he’ll give it a go and he found a bit of pleasure in the extra lubrication from the blood. So yea, he doesn’t mind it.
X = X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)
Not very big. Kind of on the smaller side of average, so maybe 5 inches in total? He’s also not impressively girthy, either.
Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?)
He’s kind of a horny rut. He’ll fuck you regularly if you allow him.
Z = Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)
He doesn’t doze off right away. Sometimes he gets up to play video games after. He’ll sleep if he’s tired or if it’s very late at night.

any tips for starting on digital art? I've got a little wacom tablet and downloaded krita and I'm having fun but it feels like theres some kind of barrier that isnt letting me transfer traditional skills I've learnt over to digital
hey!! so i used to be exactly like this a ton of years back. my first time really getting serious with digital was around 2015, but i definitely remember how difficult it was transferring my traditional art skills to digital. here’s some advice :]
at first, although it will be difficult to get over that barrier, LOTS of practice will help you get into the groove of things again. going to digital art after being solely traditional changed my style a lot to begin with. with new mediums/programs, your art style is *bound* to change a little bit. at first i didn’t really like how my digital style looked, but i started to realize the more i drew, the more my art skills started to shine through. switching up mediums (ex: from traditional to digital) might even help you acquire a new art style that you might like :D
another thing! before i used a tablet for the first time back in 2022, i used to love just drawing with my finger on my phone and use pencil + paper. as soon as i started using a wacom tablet, the feeling was incredibly weird? though, i always liked to treat my tablet as its own pencil and paper.
trying to visualize this helped me immensely with traditional to digital. since you did traditional beforehand, i think starting off with a pen and tablet is a great gateway to starting digital art. pen+paper vs pen+tablet is almost identical to each other, the only thing being that the pen+tablet is more digital.
and! with digital, there is absolutely *no limits* to what you can put on your canvas. i highly implore you to experiment with as many brushes as you like, edit your art with effects, add textures, and go crazy with the shading and lighting. :) eventually you will definitely find a brush you’ll love, and from there things will feel much more comfortable to figure out.
again!! this takes a lot of practice and effort to really make your art skills shine through, and it will take a while to finally get used to it and make a piece you’re going to like. but eventually you might find yourself enjoying digital art, and i hope this advice guides you along that journey <3

(somewhat related but my switch from wacom tablet to ipad was SO rocky. it took ages for me to try and transfer my tablet skills to my ipad, and procreate felt uncomfortable for me to use. however, eventually i got over that barrier and now i use procreate and ipad as my main sources :] hopefully this helps inspire you)
(left: november-december 2022 vs right: november-december 2023!! one full year of using procreate!)
(the old ones had duller colors and less defined sharpness/lines. they look cool but i wasn’t proud of how dull they were. in the new ones, i feel like ive started gaining a mastery of the program and my art is now super vibrant again :] )
