Hey y'all! My next plushie project is a little purple monster with a flower crown and (if I can figure out how to do it) a spiky denim vest, but I'm not sure what quilt project I want to do next, so I'm looking for input!
edit: I forgot scrap management as an option so that's the "something else" option now lol

Craft Notes 9/1/2024
Greetings! Yay, it’s a new month so I am starting several new projects today!
First off I am going to start 2 new recycled denim quilts with my sister’s old jeans. I will be using the blankets to either stuff or back the blankets.
I am starting a new pair of socks with a pattern that I designed myself in my sister’s memory.
I’m also planning on knitting a pair of socks with this yarn but I will wait until the first pair is done.
I’m also planning to start a basic raglan sweater with this Brava yarn.
This month I also would like to set a goal to finish my diamond art kit!

I’ve got the mohair yarn and I decided I needed I needed to do a new baby swatch right away so I could see what it looked like with the other yarn. As someone with dark grayish blue eyes this is going to look fabulous on me but… I do keep muttering jweater!! whenever I look at it.

I have no idea what this would entail i just want to see what you'd come up with so... stitch and bitch au lol
I can see this as either a TAZ Balance AU or an OFMD AU, which is great :D
TAZ Balance
Taako and Lup are co-owners of the yarn shop
Lucretia is a regular at knitting group night; she and Taako are hot gossip buddies
There is a LIVELY debate about crochet vs knitting (Magnus is a crocheter, Taako is a knitter)
Everybody thinks Barry is just there because of his crush on Lup, but actually he's an avid knitter (he really likes this yarn)
Kravitz is the one who's there because of his crush, he's been working on the same mangled mess of a garter stitch scarf for three months
Our Flag Means Death
Stede's new weird tiny shop is full of heinously expensive specialty yarns; you didn't even know that animal's hair could be made into yarn!!!!
Ed owns a small but very well known chain of high-end yarn stores (somebody like StevenBe). He does of course show up at Stede's shop for the regular stitch and bitch night, just as some kind of crazy fight is breaking out between a pair of mean old ladies. (Stede gets stabbed with a chiagoo #0, which is fucking sharp actually)
The crochet vs knitting debate is between Lucius and Izzy. Lucius mostly just likes an excuse to make hooker jokes, he's not actually that committed to the debate.
The Badmintons are Hobby Lobby execs, Izzy's betrayal involves a real estate deal or something
The red silk is a bit of lace that Ed's mom knitted out of laceweight red silk, it's a little wonky in the way that 70s knitting sometimes is, but he's been holding onto it all these years.
---
(ask game from a few days ago: Let’s play a game. Send me a potential AU and I’ll tell you five fun facts that would happen in a story.)

April: opposing plies!
Ok so chaos gremlin that I am, I have started spinning despite not having committed to a single plan. I have 3 plans on an index card: 1) basic s & z singles plied s for knitting, 2) s z z plied s for stretchy hard wearing sock yarn, 3) s s z plied s to find out why only energizing one of the singles is the "rule". What fucked up yarn will I create and will 3 be twice as stretchy and hard wearing as 2 or will it just be a nightmare to work with?
Notes for first singles, already have a good start on my bobbin: s, flyer 2 (middle whorl on flyer), drive biggest (biggest whorl on drive wheel), accel 2 (middle whorl on accelerator wheel) (it's a spinolution queen bee). This ratio is FAST, I am spinning pretty fine :D

CRAFT NOTES: JUNE 25th - JULY 2nd
GREETINGS! I like the way last week’s craft notes post went but I can also see some room for improvement. This week I took before and after photos like I have been doing for my cross stitch project. If it works for that project it should work for all of them.
READING:
Upon A Spring Breeze by Kelly Ivrin
The Bible Recap by Tara Leigh Cobble
The KJV Bible
SCRAPPY BLANKETS: I didn’t work on my blankets but I did update the project photos on Ravelry. I’m also planning to frog my mini blanket.
SOCKS: I am currently knitting the Salt Chuck Socks 💞
ALBERTA SUMMER SWEATER: I am currently knitting the Alberta Summer Sweater. It is currently taking me about 30 minutes per row. I’m hoping to finish the yolk next week and move on to the stockinette portion soon.
VANILLA BABY SWEATER: I still need two more baby sweaters so I decided to cast one on this weekend and knit on it during the NASCAR race.
CROSS STITCH: I was really hoping to finish a whole bear this week but it looks like it will take me about 2 weeks for each bear section.
SEWING: I have another 10 quilt blocks sewn up and 30 left to go. I can’t wait to see how this newest blanket turns out.

i love this pattern but its SO many rows
but its 10mm so it works up pretty quick.
im just thankful i like the look of thin yarns knit on thick needles as much as i like the process of knitting em.
