Where death sweeps up the unprepared, so does the spirit who remained faithful from the beginning. Angels watch with awe and wonder. Humans, like caterpillars, undergo metamorphosis. With a small colony hiding within the gravity of the Milky Way Galaxy left behind, tears aren’t held back as people wave their goodbyes. Somewhere miles away from the quiet, a child is getting ready to board the yellow school bus. With arithmetic and spelling prepared for their learning, a classroom prepares our youth for the social experiment. Will they bond and work together? Will this world survive for the next generation to run and frolic? Will a senior experience heartbreak and prom which will lead to a one hit wonder? Will the elderly laugh and smile as little ones become societies’ next set of adults playing savior? Yes. Sometimes unforgiving but always perfect, this storyline did more than survive and sustain order. Presidents retired, and protégés came of age. Celebrities faded out into solitude, and introverts became YouTube famous. Less than fifty years from now, we’ll be running on solar instead of fossil. What became lame will come back to the forefront as unique and trendy. As eternity continues to orchestrate the seasons, so does my habitat reflections. Though I don’t take the opportunity to circle back with a hello or hug; my god, this life would have been meaningless were it not for the warmth and acceptance of so many. Idk if it helps but with popular cons if you’ve been a few years in a row (and you’re not super high profile like say destinyblue) usually they reject you to allow other people in. It’s just to give new artists a chance and also keep it fresh for people who attend each year, though it can still hurt

i still don't think i'm really over how the internet treats destinyblue tbh. she's been open about her struggles with severe mental illness and it's been the main driving force of her art but everyone's pretty much reduced her art to objects of ridicule. there were not one but TWO memes p much memeing on her artwork about her experiences w mental illness (i'm ok/i'm not okay and brOKen), and i get that yeah it's not like you can't joke about stuff online but i guarantee the vibe behind it isn't in a way that really appreciates her stuff or any of the actual intent behind the art

. Art: All Wrong Artist: #DestinyBlue Deeply troubled and full of rage, self-hate and frustration is exhausting. I tried my best to conquer mountains. But, summits were empty with no one to share them with quietly. Hiding drama with a smile, I seek equilibrium with caffeine and sleep. With reasons to be angry, I numbed out the beauty that is existence. With pleas for another day and hour, my journey to freedom came at a cost. Their touch and warmth replaced with darkness, my heart left with their care. Unable to manage, I relapse into depression like good things never happened. Unaware of how good I have it, I look around reluctantly because self-pity can’t survive commonality. Degrees, accolades, and respect of others; none of them solve damage left in my closet. I could list off support groups, medical assistance, and resources which keep me from destruction. Hours spent reading, praying, pouring into people aren’t worth mentioning because glory is a curse. On my knees was replaced with my face in silence. Secrets were brought to light. Intervention and kindness have done wonders. But, like breathing, there’s no such thing as having enough to become independent enough to stand alone. So, I keep showing up where I’m wanted. I grit my teeth when the demand wears my butt out. Knowing that all humans struggle with self-image, messy isn’t a choice. Emotions go from infinity to empty, yet I find myself in the presence of perfection calming my nerves. Tomorrow, the cycle will repeat. I can’t cope with an afterlife being enough to rationalize this one. Grateful for every memory and opportunity, I’m frustrated with the inability to handle much more than staying alive. I can’t promise change or growth.
