Harvey has joined the inaugural Visionary Alliance for the National Hispanic Media Coalition! As The Hollywood Reporter describes:

Alliance members will lend their professional expertise to longstanding NHMC entertainment initiatives such as its Series Scriptwriters Program and Latinx Stream Showcase and also get involved in the nonprofit’s social justice and policy advocacy work.

“NHMC is about representation from the White House to Hollywood,” the coalition’s president and CEO Brenda Victoria Castillo tells THR. “The policies and decisions that are made in D.C. affect Hollywood. The way Hollywood decides they’re going to portray Latinos is the way we’re perceived and the way the public treats us, and it’s a vicious cycle.”

Well, here is a rare and rather enjoyable thing.  I’m used to writing about pictures whose author is known, whose subject is known, whose date is known, whose cause is known, whose customer is known or any or all of those things.  The experience starts as that which is familiar to anyone who has finger-walked through shoeboxes of old post-cards, or cartes-de-visites or stereos : here’s something…

It’s funny how the mind works.

Last night, I was wondering how ABC was going to solve their new Karen/Diane problem with their love of doing crossovers with their procedural programming, but, even later in the night, it dawned on me that they could just do with Tracie what FOX already did with Julian and have Karen and Diane be related.

... Further thinking led me to going to bed not knowing which to laugh at more: how even more obnoxiously blatant it will become that “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Station 19” are not filmed in Seattle with the direct contrast (both shows flagrantly use helicopter location markers of the Santa Monica Pier instead of that of the actual Seattle Waterfront) or the prospect of seeing Diane call Buddie out on their truths with assists from her sister, Karen, and her sister-in-law, Hen, who have even more insight.

1) The fact that Felony Carl had a dog and a rat on him makes me wonder if random animals just come up to him so often that he has trouble keeping track of them. XD

2) It certainly shocked me when I found out. O_O
