You know sometimes I forget just how much bloodlust TR!Ros has and I think she does too until she gets lost in it. Ros saw weakness in Alien Pili and immediately went on the offensive and started chasing him. She took a lot of joy in seeing him cower and cry and was intentionally trying to break his armor to make him defenseless. This isn't even new behavior either, Ros has done similar things with people like Harry and other weaker Red Faction members. She likes when people cower from her and gets lost in the adrenaline of it. It's why she keeps killing low level players and it's part of why she ended up killing Alien Pili. She gets caught up in the rush of being the attacker and the power that comes with it that she forgets to hold back. Stronger players often fight back and/or don't humor her so it's not as fun for her so she backs off but weaker players panic in a way that gives her a thrill and she forgets to stop. It's like a prey drive in a way and she doesn't know how to control it and that's why she's so dangerous to weaker players. She was wanting to attack Eloise the other day for the fun of it and everyone around her told her not to because Eloise was much weaker. Ros said she wouldn't kill her but given her reputation for accidentally going too far, they were right to step in. Ros has earned her reputation for a reason and I think it's because she's so used to feeling like the victim that she forgets she is just as capable of being dangerous.

gortash, looking across at rue who killed her loving, caring, kind family while he had to suffer under the hands of his awful parents (and then the hells). thinking about how some days hes probably filled with repressed anger at her for taking away something he yearned for, especially considering she never seems to show any remorse for what she did when he asks her about it.

gortash, who glares at his childhood friend and is seething in jealously that she got everything he wanted. a loving family who made homemade meals and gave her a place in their lives out of the kindness of their hearts. meanwhile he was left to fend for himself and starve and suffer and she destroyed that

rue, who had the hands of bhaal wrapped tightly around her as a child, who didnt know what she was doing, who didnt want to kill her family but He made her. even the gods wanted her. gortash had to beg and claw his way into their eye line.

i just think its so fun to think about how they are the only one the other has, childhood friends to allies to something that blurs every line ever, and yet there are moments gortash fucking despises her for what she did.

sometimes he wonders if he should put her through the torment he went through, just to make her fully aware at how easy she has it.

sometimes he wonders if she'll ever understand what he's gone through to get to where he is.

One of my favorite scenes, big reason, is Sydney opening up and Carmy experiencing pain for Sydney.

But another thing the scene points out is they these two are not platonic. If they are the type of friends that epitomize a platonic relationship with a work family that feels closer than a family, he would know this about Sydney. Yet, he doesn’t. Syd still holds back when it comes to Carmy.

To be fair, she held back about her mom with Marcus too. But now that it’s clear that Marcus and Sydney have a platonic relationship, there’s an ease in their getting to know one another. Currently, based on what the show has presented, we see Carmy trying to get to know Sydney, who remains reserved about her mother until she can't find a way to put her guard up.

That's the dance with these two Sydney puts her guard up Carmy tries to get to know her- how is that friendship or how is that even what Donna says in season 4? That they're closer than family family?

Maybe because we are just getting started next season on Sydney and Carmy becoming closer?

But really Why is it so difficult for them to hang out and party together? Why is Carmy so hurt by the realization that in not focusing on the restaurant, he's missing out on knowinh Sydney? If it's really about friendship, why are there so many barriers preventing it from developing?

Why is there jealousy? Distrust? The longing to trust and open up instead of just doing it? Why is it so difficult for Carmy and Sydney to talk about their deceased loved ones, unlike the conversations that Natalie and Richie have, or the ones Ebra and Tina share?

Why is it so difficult for Sydney and Carmy to have a conversation like Tina and Marcus did in season 3, episode 9, where they can truly check in with each other and exchange ideas?

It's not platonic, and as of now, I have nothing to show that for Sydney work, family - Carmy is closer to her than family.
