Chicago PD: Al\Antonio fanfic
Summary: Alvin's sick and can't sleep. Luckily he has Antonio and their kids.
Al knew he was probably bugging Antonio with all his tossing and turning but he generally didn’t care anymore. This cold had hit him hard and he felt like hell and couldn’t get comfortable if his life depended on it.
Eventually Al gave up and groaned loudly. He knew Antonio was still awake so he didn’t really care about bothering or waking him. And Hank had already realized Al was sick and told Antonio to keep Al home as long as he needed too, so Al wasn’t that worried about interrupting Antonio’s sleep.
At that Antonio sat up and flicked the lamp on to properly look at his husband.
“God you look like hell”. Antonio teased as he wrapped an arm around Al who then set his head on Antonio’s chest so he could listen to his heartbeat.
“I feel it”. Al groaned.
“Well you should try to sleep then”. Antonio replied as he rested a hand on Al’s sweaty forehead, wincing at his clearly high fever.
“I can’t”. Al responded as he shifted and rolled over so he could better look at his husband.
Antonio hummed as he kissed Al before looking around knowing they’d probably be up for a while.
“Do you want to go down and watch a movie?” Antonio suggested hoping that would get Al’s mind off how he felt.
“Sure. But only if I can pick”. Al bargained and Antonio couldn’t help but smirk as he helped Al stand up and keep him steady.
“Only because you're sick”. Antonio agreed but they both knew he usually gave in no matter what.
As Al and Antonio slowly headed downstairs they heard the TV already on and found their kids clearly having a movie night. Diego and Michelle occupied the two armchairs and Lexi and Eva were on the couch. It was Diego who spotted him first, the twelve year old waving as they entered the living room.
“Hey Dad, Al”. Diego called out, causing the girls to notice them too. Lexi paused the movie as Al and Antonio took a seat on the couch with Lexi and Eva.
“Hey. Are you guys having fun?” Antonio asked. He wasn’t surprised to find them like this considering it was Friday night and they did this quite often on weekends. Antonio and Al never said anything against it, just glad their kids were bonding.
“Yep”. Michelle replied before she frowned as she got a better look at her dad. “Are you feeling alright, dad?” Michelle added, causing Lexi to also look at her dad and have the same reaction.
“Just a little cold. But Tony’s taking care of me”. Al replied quietly as he leaned against Antonio again.
“Is he now?” Antonio teased as he leaned down and rested his forehead against Al’s as he kissed him again.
Al just smiled as he kissed back and as expected that action got a disgusted reaction from all the kids.
“You know this is what people do when they're married?” Antonio asked with a raised eyebrow as he and Al split apart.
“We still don’t need to see it”. Eva replied with a roll of her eyes, getting nods of agreement from the others.
Antonio and Al just chuckled as they kissed again.
End Notes: I don't quite know how I feel about them. But this ship has been in my brain for a bit and I finally decided to just write it last night.
But I feel like this was the natural next step. Al/Hank is a ship and Hank/Antonio so... seemed very obvious to me, lol.
And Al/Antonio have so much potential and chemistry (or maybe I'm just delusional) but anyway...
Thank you for reading and comments and kudos are appreciated :)
