Moving away from digital

Over the last couple of days I have been taking all the picture I love from Instagram and putting them onto a USB where I'll save them until I have saved up money to get them printed from somewhere and put them into a photo album.

These pictures mainly consist of old pet pictures, current pet pictures, landscape and fossil pictures I have taken.

I still have a long way to go, I have to scour through Instagram for a couple more things. Then I am done, and I will finally be able to get them all printed out and put into photo albums for my own sake.

Maybe I am too old for the "let's have everything online and be digital" era, or maybe I hate the idea of losing the images precious to me in case something happens with the internet - not in a weird conspiracy theory way. Perhaps it is nostalgia? Maybe it is a combination of all three?

I feel a lot lighter, happier now that I am doing this?

Not only have I been working on moving all my beloved pictures from digital copies to physical, I have also been doing the same with music. I've started to collect cassette tapes, and I really want to burn CDs again. I also understand that this is, in a way, digital, I want to fill my MP3 player with music again.
