Alllright for some all over the place life updates—
- Garden 2025 is in! Lots of veggies, also been doing some diy projects to make harvesting a bit easier this year around
Very happy our asparagus has been producing so well in the meantime. In reference to local grocery store/market prices, guessing we’ve picked well over $150 worth just from our two small patches
&Now while waiting for my plants to bloom, been having fun playing around with some flower beds, lots more experiments again this year!
- Been learning things here and there from our neighbors about how to fix machinery up, skills I’ve been wanting to have for a long time, and some I’m just brushing up on. It’s been so much easier to grasp this way and spend time with close friends (The community we have here is so special to me. I get sappy thinking about it, just very appreciative that people are so willing to help out where they can. Half my motivation to have a big garden is to share extras with the neighbors as they always have for us)
- Currently grateful about a side job opportunity coming up soon to make a little extra—always make good memories on these jobs. (Which is likely all going towards our summer trips this year—mostly meeting the boy, of course🥹🫶🏻 been v anxious and excited about this… but that’s a whole other post-)
- And by far most excitingly.. (still shocked this happened on the most random day)
My partner and I met Big E recently??? We forgot he was doing a meet up very close to us and it was such a spontaneous decision, since we found out last minute.. but it was soo much fun. He was SO incredibly nice and stayed well past the time frame that was announced. Still all smiles regardless and was very happy to chat about a few memories that were special to us. 🥹 Just a good time all around chatting with other local fans-
(Also now have a funny picture of him first spotting my retro Sting shirt that I made and had on— to which he highly complimented psshdh)
