He continues folding the paper star, puffing it up and putting it in Kajii's hands when he's done. Kajii lifts it up to the light, squinting at it, like he cannot believe such a contraption is possible. "Astounding," Kajii says. "You're amazing!" Katai flushes. "It's just a hobby... Kunikida and I used to fold lots." "Really?" "Uh-huh. Jars of them, sometimes." "Can I try?" Katai blinks. Kajii's sudden enthusiasm is taking him by surprise. "Y-yeah, sure." Katai reaches for the stack of paper strips at the side, tearing one out and passing it over. When their fingers brush, his heart stutters while Kajii actually beams. He has no clue how he got here, but this crush is getting severely out of hand.

Bram can feel his control slipping. How preposterous. He is Bram Stoker, the Lord of the Undead, a terrifying calamity, the very definition of evil. He should not be losing it over— His fingers twitch as Kunikida removes another button, exposing more of his pale skin, specifically his neck. Bram can hear the blood rushing through his veins, the sweet, inviting scent flooding his nose. Before he knows it, he's reaching out, a hand pushing at Kunikida's forehead and forcing it up. Kunikida goes like a doll on a string, so unlike his usual stubborn front. As Bram leans in, nose nudging along Kunikida's neck and feeling him shiver, he stops. He's going dizzy from desire, but he still has a sense of guilt and dignity, and he doesn't want to turn into a mindless, hungry beast in front of the only human who trusts him so deeply. "...Perhaps this is unnecessary," he chokes out. His fangs press onto Kunikida's skin, right where his pulse thumps the hardest. "It is not a must for me to feed. If I were to—" "I'll stop you if I have to," Kunikida whispers. His voice is hoarse. "Do it already." So demanding despite the compromising position he's in. Bram brings another hand up, grasping onto Kunikida's collar and tugging on it, the fabric crinkling between his fingers. "If you insist, my queen." Before Kunikida can bristle at the nickname, Bram bites, and a heady sensation begins to flood his brain.

His hair stays perfectly done due to his ability and he waves, eyes filled with mischief. "Chuuya," Kunikida admonishes, "don't surprise me like that!" "But you're cute when you're startled," Chuuya shoots back. His grin widens when Kunikida gives them a cross glare. "Welcome home, by the way." "Terrible welcome," Kunikida claims, side-stepping him and ducking into the house. He hears Chuuya come down, feet landing on the floor with a soft thump before hurrying after him. "Aw, c'mon. Do you want a different one? I can make it up to you." "And you're a terrible flirt," Kunikida huffs, refusing to give in despite the smile on his face. Chuuya grabs his arm, spinning him around. He hooks his hands around his neck, pulling him down with a smirk. "Are you sure? I don't hear you complaining when I do this." And then Chuuya goes on his tiptoes and brings their lips together, and Kunikida drops his bag down to pull him closer. "You're not forgiven," he mutters between kisses, even though he's actively melting. "Right," Chuuya agrees, grinning against his lips.

"You deciphered my letter?" he asks, turning his chair to face Ranpo, who nods with his hands on his hips. "Of course. Should I have expected anything else?" "Obviously not." Ranpo's bright smile melts off into something darker as his eyes open. His stare has always fascinated Fyodor. No other regular human being could have such a piercing look, as if they know all the secrets to the universe. Ranpo is the only exception. "Well?" Ranpo asks. "What was it you wanted me for?" An unnecessary question. They both know it. Fyodor doesn't reach out, never one to intiate first, even if this was his idea. He lets Ranpo come to him, lets him make the first indication of want. Like a moth to a flame. "I think you know, Ranpo-kun." Ranpo grins. "Of course."

What would be your dream crossover involving paw patrol?

I. PRE-RELATIONSHIP

01. How did they first meet?

Since we already know how Dino and Hibari met, I'm skipping that one.

Hibari and Rio. 

They’d come across each other a few times as kids, but never met properly until the first day of middle school. Rio was wandering the corridors after another argument with Takeshi about the joining the baseball club, unaware that she was breaking one of the many rules she hadn’t read yet. Hibari called her out as soon as he saw it. He approached her, tonfa in hand, but lowered it down when she didn’t flinch at all and only smiled at him.

“This is your first and only warning, first year.”

In no time, she realized how lucky she was. Hibari never meant the first warning was only for her, but for all the first years, and he bit to death the next student he caught behaving against his rules.

Dino and Rio.

If you asked Rio, she would say they met the day Dino first arrived in Japan to meet Tsuna, and he would agree with a slightly awkward smile. Just a small detail he's hiding behind it. To be honest, he has no clear recollection of her at that moment, neither during the dinner at Tsuna's place with everyone else, only of a fleeting presence passing by.

Even if it took time to realize it was love, Rio was the first one. No, I'm not talking about her middle school crush on Hibari. I could, but it lacked something to be called love.

Love is different: it's sweet when it's reciprocated; but bitter when you find yourself thinking that maybe you're not so happy about your best friend dating Dino, or secretly wishing things won't work between them because you want him to smile at you like before. 

What a disgusting friend you are, Rio!

04. Did either of them try to resist their feelings?

Dino wasn't someone who resisted feelings, but explored them when he had the rare possibility to do so. For him, love was never at first sight, but something built over shared time. Dino needed the assurance that his future partner shared his values and looked forward to the same future as him. Therefore, if he saw a mutual interest between someone and him, and the situation allowed it, he always agreed to explore what a relationship with that person could be like and if it would work in the future.

Commitment was what dissuaded Rio from making a move. Just how many times did she try to ignore her feelings when he could name them! First, she couldn't get in the way of Dino and Stella's relationship, and later, seeing Hibari again with the same yet different admiration she felt for him in middle school meant betraying Dino. She just couldn’t!

Fueled by jealousy, Hibari broke into violent outbursts more than once. Fighting was the only way for him to calm down when he couldn’t identify the reason he felt like boiling when he saw Rio and Dino. Yet, when he did, he decided that nothing could stop him, he was free to do as he pleased and take what he wanted.

05. What would their lives be like if they had never met?

Dino tried and tried, waited and waited, as much as he could, to find the one for him. Deep in his heart, he was always a romantic, he also had a duty as a mafia boss and practicality came first. Time ran out. He married the woman he was dating at the moment and had the kids he always wanted. Everything was as it was expected. No more, no less.

Hibari ruled over his territory with an iron hand, no human warmth by his side, only the admiration of the men who followed him since the Disciplinary Committee in Middle School. Yet, he would look at them with disappointment whenever one of them started a relationship or got married. Those chains only kept them from devoting themselves to the protection of order. All of them were failures. Only he remained.

Rio never let go of Takeshi’s hand. No, I lied, she did. She went to a different middle school, hopeful yet heartbroken. The sudden cut of the thread that tied them together didn't have good consequences for any of them. Did they make up? Eventually. Was everything back to the way it was before? Not at all. She never got involved in whatever Takeshi was doing with his new friends, and dedicated herself to the restaurant. It was what she always wanted, wasn't it?

06. What was their "flirting stage" like?

Dino and Rio’s flirting stage was mostly pushed by Reborn, a series of apparently coincidental events orchestrated to throw one into the arms of the other. He knew confidential information he got by being the first one to travel to the future, and saw the political benefits of that union. Why not make it happen in this timeline too? His former student needs someone able to deal with the most pathetic side of him. And it worked, because the moment they're both available, they willingly sought for the other.

The subtle way in which Hibari can be considered to be flirting is him allowing someone to access more personal spheres of his life. To enter his base without waiting for authorization or without previous notice, sometimes even called by him, a cup of tea waiting on the table, birds fluttering in the garden.

Dino had to pay the price with a fight, adrenaline and tension rising with each encounter, that eventually found its way to be released.

Rio had to offer her calmness in exchange, accept the fate that she wouldn't be moving for as long as Namimori’s fiercest predator wanted to rest his head on her lap.

07. How do their friends and family feel about them as a couple?

As far as most of them know, only Dino and Rio are officially a couple, and they're happy for them, except for Tsuyoshi (and Hana at the very beginning). 

He and his “western things are banned in this house” attitude can't accept that Rio is happy with that filthy Italian. He often manifests out loud how he prefers Hibari for his daughter, a strong, traditional Japanese man who'll forever live in Namimori. Little he knows… or is he faking ignorance?

Discovering by accident that Hibari is involved naturally caused the alarms to go off among the group. The Vongola-Cavallone alliance could be in danger for this! Only Takeshi, Romario and Kusakabe knew from the beginning, while the rest, particularly Tsuna and Ryohei, went through a panic phase at the thought of Rio cheating on Dino.

Yes, Angel and [redacted]. He knows Angel does and has been in his feelings about their break up for some time now. As for [redacted]...No, he doesn't. He thinks she forgot about him after all these years. Who this is will be revealed at a later date...*grinch smile*

He's not big on surprises. Although they are most likely innocent & thoughtful, in his erratic mind he feels like it's a set-up. He's done some things in his past and he's always on alert.

For his birthday, Angel planned a baecation in Sulani. 3 days and 2 nights of good vibes, good food, and good sex! They would've stayed longer but he's very busy with running his clubs, so she had to use those few days to her advantage. [this wasn't a surprise, she had to tell him she wanted to take him somewhere far away for him to relax with just him & her...also she needed him to clear his schedule in advance LOL]

He's been on the fence about being married. After he fucked up on Chana (his daughter Amiri's mother who he was engaged to years ago), He hasn't really thought about seriously settling down. Deep down He wants love but he tends to fuck it up (word to the Villainous Valentine aspiration).

♥ (10) What is your OC’s favorite big way to show their love?

It used to be sex but as he's aged he's learned what real intimacy means, so quality time (especially since he's very busy, if he's clearing/shifting his schedule for you that's big for him). When he's in love, date night is important for him. He likes to do fun/adventurous things. He also enjoys giving gifts. If she has a dog, he's literally treating her dog as one of his children. That's one of the ways He got Angel, that dog LOVES him.

I love that he's my wild card! He's got the Villainous Valentine aspiration with erratic, jealous, romantic, active, and family oriented traits. You just NEVER know what you're gonna get with him. Literally keeps me on my toes!

Yes, when he was with [redacted] as a teen and next with his daughter's (Amiri) mother. He was actually engaged to her but she broke it off because he cheated with someone from one of his strip clubs and had a baby. He said it first to Angel also but it was when they were fuckin, so...at that time I don't know if he really loved her or if her coochie was just hella good. LMAO

So he definitely will if his heart is in it. He's romantic and has a tendency to fall in love hard when he does.

Katai tries not to balk, he really does, but when your boyfriend walks into your room in a full lemon-patterned suit and an army of lemon bombs strapped to his back, you cannot help but do so anyway. "I thought you said we were going to the opera?" Katai asks. He believes his panic bleeds into his voice. "What are you wearing?" Kajii blinks. "We are. This is formal attire." "That is definitely not formal attire." "Oh. Is it too casual? Should I put on my lab coat?" The outfit is so bad that Katai actually considers it. Maybe it would cover up the painfully bright shade of canary yellow he is being blasted with at the moment. "By the way, I know you don't like wearing neckties," Kajii says as he walks in. Katai eyes the bombs warily. "So I spoke to Chuuya-san for a bit and got you... this! Tada!" What Kajii procures from his pocket is a maroon clip-on ribbon, a similar shade to Katai's futon blanket. He gestures for Katai to come over, then puts on the ribbon with surprising tenderness. When he's done, Kajii steps back and puts his hands on his hips. "Well? Are you impressed?" "I..." Katai glides his fingers across the accessory. It doesn't make him feel choked up the way a tie would, and it's big enough to hide the fact that his shirt isn't buttoned all the way up. "Yeah, I am. Thanks." "Then the experiment was a success!" Kajii cackles, throwing his hands up in the air to celebrate. "Let's go!" That reminds him of the previous crisis. "Wait, you are still not showing up to the opera in that—" Kajii has already left the room.
