ive kind of developed a fascination with hybrids in the jurrasic world franchise just because of how absurd the concept is. like yeah lets just let this guy keep mashing velociraptor and t-rex DNA together into freaks of nature, surely no consequences will come from this. anyways here is another freak of nature. velociraptor but this time its assorted pterosaur DNA mashed together, assorted because i dont think any of the fucks on isla nublar could tell a pterosaur from a dinosaur. anyways this is hollyhock, species name phoronychus, originally developed with striking colors and high dexterity as she was intended to be trained and used in show and for entertainment. she performed well in her adolesence but after she reached adulthood (about 5) her shoddy genetic code began to catch up to her and her body became frail and unsightly; becoming irritable and aggressive from untreated arthritis, itchy skin, a collapsing headcrest, and a lifetime of improper care. the only days where she is not trying to gouge her caretaker's eyes out are the days where she is doped up on painkillers

I have many stupid Floyd headcanons/scenarios, but this is my current, unbelievably stupid favorite.
The tweels are both big eaters, right? However, Jade seems to somehow always eat more. Are their appetites different? Or, maybe Jade is more focused while eating?
In truth, Floyd never manages to eat as much as his brother--in fact, he probably barely ever manages to finish his meals--because he's too busy playing with his food.
Imagine the octotrio in the cafeteria.
Azul is trying to very slowly chew and *savor* every bite of... whatever gross health food he's currently pretending to enjoy.
Jade is smiling serenely while industrially plowing his way through his seventh or eighth serving of spaghetti with mushroom sauce, a stack of empty bowls piling up in front of him.
Floyd? Floyd just can't eat normally. Floyd has to balance ever single French fry on his nose before he eats it. Floyd has to use his fork as a slingshot to launch individual meatballs in the air, and attempt to catch them in his mouth, (missing about 1/3rd of the time, to the annoyance of his fellow diners).
Floyd needs to construct an accurate diorama of the Night Raven College campus out of hamburg steak and mashed potatoes on his lunch tray before eating. With broccoli and asparagus for trees, alfalfa sprouts for grass, and savory broth for the rivers and ocean.
The bell has long since rung at this point. The cafeteria is basically empty at this point. Azul and Jade know, by now, the futility of interrupting Floyd's artistic vision.
It's just Floyd, putting the finishing touches on the NRC castle, made out of breadsticks. Epel is also there helping carve carrot sticks into the likeness of the Main Street statues. Cater is livestreaming this to magicam for posterity, and Sebek is in the background with one trembling hand pointing a finger, his mouth hanging open in awe, as he watches this all unfold.
Eventually, Crowley barges in, attempting to get mad about these shenanigans. But then he ends up crying over his precious students' display of creativity and school spirit. Crowley ends up trying to build a little wall around the diorama to preserve it until RSA visits for some inter-school function next week, so he can rub Ambrose's nose in it (maybe literally?)
The ghost chefs beg him not to, claiming this is an absolute violation of the Sages Island health code, to no avail.
Meanwhile Floyd shows up 45 minutes late for class, seeming very happy. Asking in a whisper, does Shrimpy have any tasty snacks they feel like sharing today?
Yuu (a gremlin): Uhh sure! I have these dinosaur nuggets I shoved in my pocket yesterday!
Floyd: Shrimpy. What in Twisted Wonderland are dinosaur nuggets?
Trein's class ends up getting hijacked as Yuu excitedly explains Earth prehistory, and Floyd convinces everybody to shove all the desks together and build an epic Triassic diorama out of stale dinosaur nuggets and random school supplies.

Hi Ice Queen!
Your posts on contrasting colours in Wandee Goodday were cool. That was a new concept to me. I’m fascinated by colour in qls and know some symbolism but most of it like the contrasting colours and colour theory in general is new to me. It’s cool learning it from the lens of qls though.
My question is: do you have any other examples of contrasting colours used in qls?
Hi, Anon.
I love all the questions I've gotten about colors lately, so thank you for being one of them. And if anyone wants to learn more about contrasting colors, I've written a basic post about that.
I first want to point out that the examples I include in this post are random moments, which means that most of these characters aren't necessarily color-coded in tune with the colors they're wearing in these examples.
There might be an intention behind the color choices (besides showing contrast) and there might not be. But I won't be diving into that here.
With that said, the most commonly used pair of contrasting colors are on the opposite sides of the value spectrum (dark vs light), and those are black and white.
Here are some examples from series I've recently watched or rewatched (and, therefore, can remember, lol):
A Secretly Love.
Jun & Jun.
Kiseki: Dear to Me.
Love Class 2.
Night Dream.
To Be Continued.
The other three contrasting pairs I want to focus on here (because they're the easiest to find and define) are yellow and purple, blue and orange, and red and green. Let's start with:
Yellow and purple:
Jun & Jun.
Wandee Goodday. I've written about the contrasting colors in this series here and here.
Then we have blue and orange:
1000 Years Old.
Deep Night.
HIStory 3: Make Our Days Count.
Living With Him.
Not Me.
And lastly, we have red and green:
1000 Years Old.
Dinosaur Love. (Btw, don't ask me why I rewatched this recently, because I have no idea why... Perhaps to remember how annoying the music was or how much tongue action there was... lol.)
KinnPorsche.
Knock Knock, Boys!
My Stand-In.
Not Me.
And then there's a contrast I remember vividly that's not necessarily in the same frame together but is included at a bigger story arc level, and that's this heartbreaking contrast: Uea in Bed Friend who was green as a kid...
And then turned red as an adult...
While his predator stepfather followed suit.
Right now, I can't say which contrasting pair out of these three is most commonly used (which may also vary depending on the country where the QL was made), but I might look into it in the future.
Anyway, I hope you liked these examples.
Thank you for your ask.
