A/n : sorry for disappearing 😓 ive been slightly busy and havent had any ideas. I would normally stick to only ahs or twd fics but i finished the office for the billionth time and wanted to make a luke one

It was a usual day in the office, everyone around you picking up phonecalls and mindlessly typing away on their keyboards. You however weren't doing either, extremely groggy from the stormy morning and the fact that the coffee was also late didnt help due to it being the only source of energy you can get right now.

After a few minutes of continuously glancing at the door, Luke finally arrives.

"coffee monkeys here." He sighs, holding a couple trays of coffee. Everyone swarms around him like bees, groans of disappointment and frustrated complaints erupting from the huddle as everyone finds out their orders are wrong.

You slowly emerge from your chair, having a strong feeling that yours is gonna be just like everyone elses. As you take your coffee out of its tray and put it up to your lips, you notice Luke glances over at you with a small smirk, observing your moves. Why is he doing that?

Everyone starts to retreat back to their desks as you take a sip. Your eyes imediately meet his, a twinge of suprise hidden in your eyes as the taste is exactly what you asked for.

"Dont let anyone know.. They might uh... Scold me for it" He says with a small chuckle and an awkward smile.

"Holy shit, how did you remember? This is exactly what i asked for!" A small smile gracing your lips, a rare sight that barely anyone in the workplace sees.

"Yours is just a simple order, easier to remember than others" You can see how nonchalant hes trying to act, the proximity between the two of you closer than realised.

"Thank you! Im so happy i could probably kiss you or something!" It was a small gesture he had done but after the morning you had, this had made it so much better. You hadn't fully realised what you said but luke definitely did, his cheeks flushed a pink colour.

"Uh.. What?" He mumbles, making you realise what you said.

"s-.. sorry uhm... that uh... Slipped out" You cant help but feel extremely embarrassed.. But you sure weren't gonna take your words back. Despite how annoying luke sometimes is, your feelings for him are obvious to everyone in the office but him. Wether your sneaking glances at him or how your body language changes while talking to him, everyone always notices.

"oh.. Ok" His eyes avoiding yours, his tone almost.. Disappointed?

A/n: ending on a slight cliffhanger, if this does well then ill possibly write a pt2! Kinda rushed it so i apologise for poor Writing!

UNWOUND FUTURE RAAHHHHHHHH!!! What an AMAZING trilogy conclusion with such a perfect setup for future sequels. I cannot recommend playing Professor Layton enough.

Summary:

WHAT A PHENOMENAL GAME!!! Truly what a great “conclusion” to the main trilogy. You learn so much about Layton, Luke, flora, and many other characters like don paolo. The ending reveal of Clive was CRAZY. It really reminded me of movies like howls moving castle/the iron giant. I also just love how complex Clive is. He was driven to violence because of how the government treated him and his family, but he never truly wanted to hurt people. He was without any hope and thought mass destruction would finally bring some change to the government, but he also made sure to include Layton in his plans because he so desperately wanted someone to stop him. It’s tragic and terrorism definitely wasn’t the way to go but at least this is a fictional story and that death machine looked kinda sick Ngl. The story of Layton and Claire was also so tragic yet so healing. Layton could finally take off his hat without feeling grief, you never would’ve known he was hurting that much. I loved Claire, she seemed like such an amazing person and I’m glad Layton wasn’t swayed to try to bring her back, although he did falter when he had to say goodbye again. Although I highly enjoyed the game, I am slightly disappointed there was no actual evil Layton. How fun would a game with evil Layton be omg. The whole game constantly caught me by surprise, even by small scenes like Beasly and PUZZLETTE. I’m still a littel confused about the lab experiments with Gumbo and subject 3, I’m not quire sure why they added that plot (and have no resolution) but I liked Gumbo fine. My favorite coin animal will always be hot dog though. I cannot recommend this series enough, I am having the time of my life. I can also see how DGS was heavily inspired by these games and im so glad about it bc dgs was game changing. I can’t believe there was a 26 year wait in between UF and NWOS but im glad to be a Layton fan :’) so fucking glad!!!!

a short comic i did for my mh vs eah modern day au!!! i havent been drawing lately cuz school and sports are being an attention hog and taking up ALL of my time but i was able to fit this in real quick! i’ll explain the context for the comic more under the cut

note: i gave some of the characters more realistic names cuz lets be real who tf unironically names their kid “draculaura”

blondie (blaine) and draculaura (dafne) have been enemies since the first grade, where they both entered in a spelling bee. they were both oddly good at spelling words. they were like human dictionaries.

however, in the end, blondie didn’t make it. draculaura won the spelling bee and advanced to nationals where she won 2nd place, bested by some kid from minnesota.

after losing the spelling bee, blondie’s mother grew more and more distant from her. the only time she would pay attention to blondie was when she made mistakes (“why can’t you be more like that little girl who won the spelling bee? now she went places.”). blondie grew up believing that losing the spelling bee showed her mother that she wasn’t smart enough, so blondie hit the books and took up sports. she wanted her mom to see that she was just as good as draculaura, maybe even better.

blondie now resents draculaura and the word sesquipedalian.

on the flip side, draculaura basked in the attention she was getting for winning and placing second, at first. her parents were a bit disappointed when she didnt win nationals, but they got over it quick. from then on, draculaura has been praised for her superior intellect and effortless straight A’s. behind the scenes though, the expectation to be the perfect straight A student has been weighing on her shoulders for years. she’s never gone a day 100% stress free. she’s constantly worried about how others view her, intellectually. she worries that others won’t think she’s smart enough to be worthy of all the opportunities she’s been given. her confidence in her intelligence is simply a façade.

The princess awoke to a loud crash at her front door and someone very loudly apologizing. Sighing, she got up and changed from her sleep clothes so she could find out who disturbed her sleeping; what time was it anyway? Looking at the clock on the wall, she figured it was almost time for her to get up anyway. With another sigh and fake smile plastered on her face, she descended down the stairs to the front of her castle.

"Good morning! Welcome to Glimmergrove, how may I help- Osiris! Are you okay?"

She hurried to the skeleton helper that laid on the ground with a frown, being a skeleton they could only really nod or use sign language. So, they resorted to a nod and looked at the person who was now stumbling over their words.

Katherine stood up, helped Osiris up, and turned to the culprit of knocking her friend onto the floor.

"Is there something I may help you with, or do you have anything to say to my friend here?"

She didn't care to look at their face, or outfit for a matter of fact, until they spoke.

"Princess! Oh i'm so so sorry im still learning how to land with this broom and I wasn't paying attention and I didnt mean to knock your friend over, which by the way, sorry again-"

The local, er- only witch, Shelby stopped talking the second she made eye contact with the princess. He felt their face’s heat up while stumbling over her words even more than she was.

"Oh! Shelby, hi! What brings you to GlimmerGrove?"

Her attitude did a full 180° upon seeing the witch she has, quite well in her opinion, acquainted herself with. Much to the disappointment of her parents; but who was Katherine Elizabeth, Princess of GlimmerGrove, if not a rebel to her parents rule? Exactly, no one.

"Ah- well- Dawn, Princess Gem's kingdom im sure youve been there, is holding a ball! She formally invited me, actually, hand delivering the invite to the Evermoore! Can you believe it? The sun princess, hand delivering something to me! ME! I thought she would've hated me and the evermoore but guess not! haha."

"Oh! Yes yes the annual sun and moon ball I believe? I attended often when I was younger but have become quite the busy bee.. Especially with all the monster slaying I've done recently."

She trusted Shelby, and she knew the Great Witch wouldn't tell her parents about her side hobby.

"So, did you come to inform me about the ball approaching and hand deliver my invite as well?"

She smiled, at the way the shorter flushed immediately at the implications of Katherine not knowing or having not received the invite.

"No! Yes? Uh- wait-.. I came to formally ask for you to uh.. be my date. Princess Gem had told me that the only way I can attend is with a date.."

"A new rule it seems.. Very well! I shall accompany you to the ball as your date. I formally accept."

The little wink she added at the end of her sentence probably didn't help the high Shelby already was on, as her face flushed more and caused the princess to smile.

It was the day of the ball and all Shelby could not stop thinking of how he looked, if Katherine was okay with going as her date, or if Katherine would even be fine being seen with her after the ball.. Gods, He hoped they were at least presentable.

Sausage had let her borrow one of his suits for the ball; A nice, forest green suit with a purple dress shirt and a plain black tie; They wondered why he never wore it, but then again suits tended to not be casual wear like dresses.

Shrugging the thought off, she summoned her broom and took off; In the direction of Glimmergrove.

Upon arriving, He immediately hopped off her broom and called into the rather bare castle — It was a beautiful castle! She had to admit that of course, but there wasn't much decoration and if he ever had the chance; Well, Great Witch Shelby would change that if Katherine let her.

Speaking of Katherine, the witch believes They’ve never seen anyone prettier; Her date- Best friend! His best friend was in a beautiful dress and honestly? Shelby believed she was facing a goddess rather than a princess.

Hearing her name called honestly scared Katherine, having not expected Shelby to be so early. Early? What time was it? Turning to the grandfather clock on the wall of her bedroom, she realized Shelby was actually on time and she was the one late.

Anxiety flowed through her veins as she stood and stared at the mirror; Her dress was floor length without her heels, a pretty light pink dress with green and purple flowers(A personal touch after buying the bland dress, she figured it was the least she could do.)

Grabbing some makeup, she gently patted the burn on her neck; She was curling her hair with a gift from Joel when she returned the Stratosphere. Unfortunately, she burned her neck with it when Shelby called out and startled her; Before the makeup could even touch her neck she put it down and decided that she could just cover it with her hair.

Quickly grabbing her white heels and slipping them on, she descended the stairs and came face to face with the witch — Well, almost face to face. They were down the empty corridor from one another, and wow. The suit that Shelby was in really complimented the golden eyes of the short witch.

Katherine didn't believe anything was wrong with Shelby's height, a mere 4 inch difference between the two; and she believed it to be absolutely adorable; But the way the sunset glowed behind the witch made her look ethereal, almost unreal. She loved it so much.

Perhaps a bit too much, perhaps she was in over her head. Perhaps, she would drown in admiration and infatuation; but honestly what a way to go? She would love to go in the way only Romeo and Juliet had, completely in love and infatuated with one another; Admiration pushing them to the end of their lives for the latter. She loved the idea, the idea of being so head over heels that you'd cover yourself in the blood of yourself and lover. Maybe, just maybe, Princess Katherine Elizabeth loved the idea of 'til death do us part' a bit too much as she stared at the witch.

Shaking her head, the princess plastered the smile she only had when seeing Shelby and quickly approached her.

"Good evening, Great Witch."

"Ah- Good Evening, Princess! You look beautiful.. I mean, you always look beautiful but- wow.."

A laugh, her own laugh she recognized it anywhere, following an even wider smile; Her freckles being much more noticeable with the blood rushing to her face from Shelby's compliment.

"I know what you mean, Shelby.. You look wonderful too. Much better than being covered in mud with your hair a mess."

A very teasing wink was added at the end of her sentence, watching the witch's face erupt into shades of red and a stuttering mess.

"I- you uh- we- We should get going! Yeah? So we can uh, make it before we're late?"

"Of course, after you?"

Watching the shorter nod and walking outside(presumably to summon her broom, which took a moment. We're all witches brooms so stubborn?). Soon after, the (4 inches.) taller woman followed behind and waited for an invite to be on the broom.

"Might wanna hold on tight, Princess. This ride can be a little rough with the winds and I don't want you to fall off."

A simple nod from Katherine, following the orders of her date and wrapping her arms around Shelby's waist.

"You don't mind this, right?"

Please, she could hear Shelby's heart racing with Katherine's hands around her waist.

"Yep! Just fine Princess! Now again, hold on tight."

At that, they took off and gods if it wasn't for Shelby's safety measures; Well, Katherine was sure she would've fallen off. On, what could be called instinct, the take off Katherine's grip around the shorter tightened and she laid her head on Shelby's shoulder; staring in front of them rather than looking down.

Now, Katherine wasn't afraid of heights(She refused to believe she was afraid of anything), but at such high speeds from the broom and the wind whistling in her ear? It was undeniable that she was scared, and if anything her grip on the witch was proof of such a statement.

Coming to land in Dawn wasn't that bad, rather easily with all the roads leading to town square and the market, well. Typically it wasn't that bad, but with crowds of people in both places, Shelby opted on landing outside the kingdom gate. She figured it would be better anyway, easier to leave if Katherine wanted to do so early.

"Shall we?"

"We Shall."

Descending on foot into the busy kingdom actually proved to be a lot easier than when on a broom. They wondered if Gem was greeting people at the lighthouse, which now thinking about it, he probably should've used his broom to get over there.. but there was a bridge! so they can't complain too much.

"Great Witch Shelby, Princess Katherine! Wonderful to see the two of you here. Together?"

"Yes, actually! Shelby asked me to be her date after you invited her. It's wonderful to see you."

"Wonderful to see you as well Katherine. You go on in, I have to talk to Shelby about something."

Oh no. She knew what that meant, and It meant nothing good. Katherine leaving her alone with the rather intimidating sun princess (She heard how Gem was able to scare a god into giving her bees.) was not a very confident boosting situation.

Being pulled away from the entrance by the same princess who scared an 11'0 God was an experience to say the least.

"Uh- so- is this you saying you didn't mean to invite me and got me mixed up with someone else and that you hate me or?"

"Hate you? Why would I hate you? And I hand delivered that invite, who would I have confused the Great Witch Shelby with?"

Watching Gem shake her head with a smile on her face slightly got rid of Shelby's worry.

"Then uh.. what did you need to talk about?"

"Katherine is a great friend of mine, and I'm trusting you with her Shelby. Dont break her heart and we can stay allies."

"Yes Ma'am!"

She couldn't hear what Gem and Shelby were talking about, and she couldn't see Shelby's face but something inside her sparked with jealousy as Gem smiled at her date, but Katherine knew Gem wouldn't do anything stupid enough to try and convince Shelby to ditch her (At least she hoped. She didn't wanna abandon the princess alliance over Shelby.), but all her fears dissipated when Shelby turned around and smiled at Katherine before heading over. Oh, okay. Well that's good, right?

The night was good, young, and she had Shelby as her date! Perfect, right? Almost perfect. Joey had come to her while Shelby was getting them honey-flavored drinks and soon opened his mouth; How he'll 'win her over' and 'be the pirate king that she needs' and all that drama.

Then Shelby came back, and she figured the only reason Joey shut up is because of how she smiled at the witch and got up to meet him halfway. Glancing back towards where she was sitting, She saw Sausage talking to him and saying something - Both the Eversea King and Sanctuary Guardian's face lighting up with blood. Whatever Sausage said formed a positive reaction from Joey since they were not immediately locked in battle.

"Think Sausage can calm Joey down better than anyone else."

"Seems so, huh?"

"With the Pirate distracted, may I have this dance m'lady?"

"Of course you may."

Hand in hand, Shelby led her to the dance floor - spinning her as soon as their feet hit the border; and that's how the night went, the two of them dancing together and taking everything the party had to offer. Genuinely, Katherine enjoyed the night she had.

"Hey, Shelby? Can we detour? I don't really want to go home right now. I'm enjoying the night too much."

"Of course, where do you wanna go Princess?"

"As long as I'm with you, I don't care."

Slowing down as they came to a clearing right outside the evermoore; Sometimes she uses it to get the wood he needs for building, or the shroomlights from the nether woods. They had cleared out her work stuff and left it as is, a clearing. He figured she should've done something to decorate it; It was pretty, just looked almost as bland as Katherine's castle. Save for the fireflies perhaps, maybe they added decor with their glow.

"This place is beautiful, Shelby."

"Really? I think it's kinda bland but-"

"I promise, it's the perfect place to spend the rest of our night."

She didn't say much more, staring at the monster slayer/princess. Shelby wasn't too good at taking care of herself, so she figured Katherine especially wasn't with her dual identity as a princess and a monster slayer. She wondered what classifies a Witch as a Monster in Katherine's book — He also didn't want to find that out so keeping their mouth shut seemed the route to go here.

"Think you can dance without music, Princess?"

"I'm sure I can, Witch."

The smile that found its way onto Shelby's lip wasn't far from admiration, or love if one wanted to go that far and Shelby certainly didn't. The memory of what Katherine said a few months ago at the festival, right before the hermits had shown up, still acted as a fresh wound to her heart. Nonetheless, it didn't matter to him. Katherine had bigger problems than Shelby's heartache when hearing how the latter speaks about her; She had a curse to deal with! Which, yes, Shelby was working on and managed to get good progress on with the help of Tango. Honestly? She missed the blue haired boy who declared himself her apprentice. If anything, she missed the hermits' home more than her own; yet the hermits left a piece of them for the empires, The HermitTopia(Or, Hermit-agedon as he's heard Scar call it before.)

Turning her attention back to the princess, Shelby took her hand and pulled her closer; Sure, they had a height difference but who cares? Not they, not in this moment, not with the prettiest woman Shelby's ever met. Resting his hand on Katherine's waist, she took her other hand and gently held Katherine's; The two now in a proper dancing stance.

They moved in sync, Katherine following every move Shelby made while she made decisions on the spot. It wasn't hard to tell that they both have learned ballroom dancing; The Witch's Academy required it, and Katherine's parents likely did too. It didn't stop them however, their movements were far too graceful to be anything but perfect and surely if they had a crowd around them, people would be too stunned to speak.

Shelby was sure that Katherine was a goddess in disguise(she actually had the same idea about Princess Gemini!) and was sure he was just some pawn in the game of gods. They wouldn't care, as long as she was Katherine’s favorite pawn. Honestly, being anyone's favorite won over being the academy's least favorite.

Their dance soon came to an end, and they stood still for a moment; staring in each other's eyes before hesitantly backing away.

“Would you like to stay the night in the evermoore? I have a really cool place I just built that we can watch the stars on and then we can go inside to sleep.”

“Would it be alright with you if we went straight to sleep instead? After all the dancing, my feet are aching due to these heels.”

“You could've told me! I could have taken your heels for you!”

“It's fine! Really.”

With a sigh, Shelby simply nodded.

“Of course we can go to bed, mi vida.”

“Spanish? Has Sausage been teaching you?”

“Yeah.”

The two made their way into Shelby’s room, and honestly Katherine forgot that Osiris and Mylo spoke often enough for Mylo to have clothes that fit her for the night. Katherine wondered if Mylo had an extra set of clothes for the other empires too or if she was an exception. She kinda wished she was an exception but knew she likely wasn't. Especially considering she wasn't the only one to have spent the night with Shelby; Sausage has frequent sleepovers in the evermoore(or.. wherever he wants. Free souls like his makes her envious.)

After changing into the clothes Mylo had given her, she sat on Shelby’s bed and smiled at the witch coming from the attic. She's never been up there, but she knew that's where Shelby kept her storage.

“Ready to sleep mi vida?”

Katherine couldn't even begin to explain what Shelby speaking Spanish did to her(spoiler: it's gay panic.)

“Yeah! Where do you-?”

“My bed is big enough for both of us, and Mylo if he wanted. He doesn't sleep- at least not near me? I think its cause he's from the nether-”

She knew she was red, sharing the same bed with someone she undoubtedly had a crush on? Plus! She was a cuddler! Ugh, how was she supposed to live in this world? Exactly, She couldn't! Well- No, she had to stay for Shelby. She realized a few weeks before the dance that she was romantically attracted to the witch, yet figured Shelby no longer felt that way due to how the festival went.. She had to thank Pearl and Impulse for knocking her into place with her feelings(How could someone that you've only known for two weeks be able to read your feelings better than you?).

“Kath, you okay? You're burning up.”

It wasn't until that statement, that Katherine realized two things:

Shelby’s hand was on her forehead

How close they were.

“Yeah! Yep! I’m good!. That sounds so unconvincing. I'm sorry..”

It was awkward, of course. After all, this is their first kiss and they weren't sure how to be good at it. Well, it was Shelby’s second kiss, but first with Katherine. Win-win in her book! Especially since they can now make Joey fully come to the understanding that Katherine isn't romantically interested in him. Triple win for the Great witch.

Kissing Katherine felt like everything Shelby’s ever wanted and more. Like heaven on earth, with how gentle they both were and how chaste the kisses were. He wanted more, they enjoyed kissing Katherine. It was perfect, she was perfect, this moment was perfect.

Until they heard a grunt and mumble, which caused both of them to pull from the kiss and Shelby took in how red Katherine was; He probably was no better. The two of them laughed, and they apologized to Mylo.

He felt hot, after killing Joey nothing felt right and then the sheriff came by and she killed him! They took their hat off and threw it on his porch, sitting on the steps soon after. What the hell was wrong with him.. Sighing, she picked her hat up and went inside – Mylo had picked Jimmy’s stuff up and set it all in a chest outside.

“Hey, Mylo, Im gonna take a nap on the couch.”

“ ‘ight. Let me know when you up, and ill fix some tea for ya.”

With a nod and a smile, Shelby flopped onto the bed. What was Katherine willing to think about what he’s done now? They've killed people! Ugh, rather than thinking about it, Shelby closed her eyes and drifted to sleep.

Katherine knew. She knew what happened, and honestly? She didnt care. Joey probably deserved, and she knew Jimmy wouldnt do much about her killing him – he may be the sheriff, but he wasnt a good one and he knew that too. So what, Shelby killed two people? There was likely good reasoning behind it.

While working on the interior of her castle when getting the buzz of the comms to let her know what her lover did was an.. Interesting.. Moment.

Now, Katherine was cleaning a broken pot from the fact she was surprised by the buzz communicator. She bit her lip and prevented herself from flying off to the evermoore and checking on Shelby. He was likely resting.. Or something.

For the rest of the day, she picked at her nails(normally painted and perfect), an old habit she hadnt done in years.

So I binged watch Shadow and Bone in on sitting and OMGGGGGGG.

THAT WAS A ROLLERCOASTER RIDE AND I HAVE A FEW THOUGHTS

PLOT

The plot was rushed like it was there is no denying it, but it was also fun in the best way possible. IMO The writers really aced it for TV. You can tell they actually respect the source material and understand it well. I know that a lot of controversy is surrounding season 2 but I would like to point out that I think the writers and actors did BRILLIANT with what time they had. Like I am pretty sure I saw a tweet that said that the writers weren’t sure that they would get the green light for season 3 and with that in mind they were exceptional. They did remove quite a few scenes from R&R and S&S, I really missed alina’s white hair and MAL’s  “I am become Blade tattoo”. And as someone who has read the books I missed the character development that was done but at the same time, I have come to realise that adaptations are different from source materials and it’s best to seperate them both. That way you enjoy it more. And my friend (Who hasn’t read the books) loved it even more then me.

Nikolai hiring the crows was absolutely genius, it was a really good introduction

The Crows having to steal the sword plotline was so good was so goodd

The transition for Kaz’s flashback was so good ( Can I just say that I loved the VFX for this season)

ACTING

the acting done by each and every charcater was phenomenal. Ben Barnes was amazing as usual, Jessie mei lei added her beautiful depth to Alina’s character, Archie renaux make Mal’s character so much more three dimensional, NIKOLAI, TOLYA,TAMAR AND WYLAN. OMGGG. When I tell you they were fucking perfect like their expressions, their dialogue, their attitude. Jaw droppingly amazing. Daisy was so good as Genya this season like her raw emotion could literally be felt throught the screen. Her acting literally made me hate the Darkling so much. Amita was amazing as Inej, she as born for this role and danielle and Callahan have such amzing chemistry I can cry.  Kit young is amazing, I love him so much. I wanted Sujaya to have more screen time because she is amazing but i know she had conflicting schedules but still :(

IT WAS LIKE SOMEONE PLUCKED OUT KAZ FROM THE BOOKS AND WAS LIKE HERE YOU GO AND HAVE THE MOST HEART WRENCHING STORY BE DONE IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE. LIKE HE KILLED. HE ABSOLUTELY SLAYED WITH THE ACTING. I WAS FLABBERGASTED. OMFGGGG. WHAT WAS THAT. LIKE FREDDY CARTER IS KAZ BREKKER. PERIOD.

OVERALL THE ACTING WAS A 10/10. I could not imagine a more perfect cast.

Conclusion

I Liked the show, had fun with it. The best way to enjoy it is as Leigh said,” Think of it as a fanfiction.” Sepereating the show from the book is the best thing to do for adaptation guys. I understand why people may not like it but still fucking watch it. IDNC that you didnt like it. WATCH IT. I need my Ice heist spin off. <3

a little life update :-)

(pls help i need advice)

so

i have this friend. two friends actually. i went to visit them recently (june)

friend 1, lets call her cat had asked friend two, lets call her bee, to move down with her. bee agreed. issues immediately started. bee was off her meds and didnt want to get back on them, and started picking fights with cat, treating her badly and etc bc thats what bee used to do when she still lived with her mom. pick fights when her mood dropped and get into screaming matches (tho its not like her mom didnt also pick fights with her)

cats telling me abt this at this time and i feel bad bc i feel like i wasnt being a good friend mostly bc i didnt have the energy to hear abt how terrible it was going for her. i was going thru a lot when it started which isnt her fault or my fault, but i feel bad for not being more supportive. so cat stopped telling me abt it, bc i didnt know what to do or how to fix things. i thought stuff resolved itself but i went and visited and it hasnt. really.

so i arrive. bee doesnt come with cat to pick me up, which, ok disappointing but i understood she was tired. she didnt come to eat with us either. which also sad

next day cat asks for some rent money to get herself lunch, bc she forgot to make smth to eat before leaving and cat couldnt and wouldnt give their rent money so she could get lunch. so she asked us to bring her lunch from mcdonalds if she ordered somthing bc she had points on the app, and we had to decide tht if we are driving tht far out to where she works we might as well do something over there. cat asks if we should invite her partner with us and i agreed bc i wanted to meet him. we go to pick up her lunch, she asks me to buy her something rather than ordering smth off the app, which, feels :/ to assume ill just buy it for her. i would have if she asked but she just sent me her order. mybe an asshole move of my to say 'uhhh sure if ur able to order it off the app???'

get the food, fight thru traffic to get to her, have to fight thru parking traffic to get out of where she works. we end up visiting this old military fort and hang out for a few hours and when we come back we think bee is asleep. its like. 7:30? 8:00?

so i try to inflate the blow up bed i got for them to use for when they have other guests sleep over and me and cats bf wake her up while im trying to figure out how to work it so she comes out and snaps at us. i apologize for being loud, promise to be quieter but im inflating the air mattress so i might be loud for a few minutes. the ENTIRE time im inflating it shes standing there arms crossed glaring at us and clearing her throat the entire time. and maybe its just me but??? i find that to be a little fucking rude tbqh. me and the bf are guests and its making me feel unwelcome and regretting the money i spent to come visit her. anyways cat comes out from the bathroom bc bee is still there clearing her throat with her arms crossed even after i finished fixing up the air mattress, and its quiet as hell bc me and bf are both uncomfy. cat gets mad and upset bc were guests in their home and she shouldnt be treating her like tht. shes upset we woke her up but surprise surprise shes even MORE upset i met cats partner before hers bc she wanted it to all be 'together' even tho i agreed to meet bf bc i did! want to meet him! and that we went to the fort without her.

anyways.

i apologize to her abt that bc i wanted to meet him but shes like 'no cat knew i wanted to do this thing' which fair.

the rest of the week goes ok. i get to meet her partner and theyre so nice and funny and i was super excited to meet them. we hit off great. we get lunch with one of cats friends, bee remarks abt 'oh i used to get so upset abt ppl being happier than me, enjoyed making ppl unhappy and would go out of my way to do so, bc i didnt like that they were happy and i wasnt' i buy bee a present for her birthday and u kno week ends i go home, and turns out bees partner comes out to her abt some things and bee freaks out, gets super upset and reacts really poorly. starts crying and going off abt being betrayed and etc.

turns out partner breaks up with her the next day bc they were uncomfortable with the reaction and then she starts crying and going off again abt feeling betrayed and upset and wanting to kill herself and tht they told her they loved her and would never leave and etc etc etc amongst other 'its not faiiiir' reactions. i still hold the opinion she was upset bc they broke up with her first.

cat calls her out for her behavior and that shes saying some very inappropriate things and tht ex isnt an awful person. bee ends up demanding all the gifts she gave ex back and wanted to know what ex would be doing with special gifts they got her before they both broke up.

i honestly end up quite. disgusted? with her behavior bc any time she broke up with someone while she lived separately from cat, shed ghost us and wed only get her side of the story. cat all but ends up moving in with her partner bc bee refuses to clean up after herself and keeps making a mess of things and its just a bad living situation.

cat tells bee tht shes not thinking of renewing their lease at the end of the year bc she cant handle living like this and bee lashes out. ends up making a mess of their kitchen and breaking some of cats things.

she also uses special non stick stuff of cats and uses metal on it (which ur not supposed to do) and keeps using cats own dishes and dishes she got from her grandma and doesnt clean them or anything.

my thing is. i dont know what to do. i kinda wanna stop our friendship bc im upset at how shes treating our other mutual friend. but i dont know if i should talk to her bc ive asked cat if i should try and talk to her to get her to see tht shes not being a good friend and cats told me not to, mostly bc she refuses to see shes wrong. im leaning towards wanting to follow her advice bc she has been living with bee but also it feels so scummy not to say anything esp when i know shes going to be going thru a difficult time in the next few months. however if i talk to her, i dont want to cause her to lash out at bee or have any of her things that are still at their apartment broken bc bees already proven to lash out and break other peoples things when shes upset at them, and i dont want to make it any worse for her.

bee would tend to ghost us when she was stll living with her mother, so much so tht we wouldnt hear from her for weeks or months, esp when she was feeling bad. i would try to reach out to her just to make sure she was fucking alive lmao. im worried if i were to reach out and ask abt all this and end with our friendship splitting off, shed do something drastic like hurt herself. i want to reach out and try to salvage what i feel is a dissolving friendship but i also dont want to be friends with this type of person unless shes worked on herself. i still love and care for her but like i know who i would stick by if i had to which... feels bad to say and sucks but th fact is i am closer with cat, mostly bc when bee would ghost us me and cat would still talk and we have more in common.

i want to talk and ask her why she would do and say these things and treat ppl she loves like this but ive been told not to but it would feel wrong not to at least. reach out. i dont know what to do.

But one day, you found him talking to Charlie. You went up to Charlie and asked who he was talking to. “Oh! You guys haven’t met yet?! Well, y/n this is Wilbur, Wilbur this is y/n” he said smiling. You looked over at the slightly transparent man in front of you. ‘He’s kinda cute. His eyes, his smile, practically everything is perfect about him’ you thought. Wilbur cleared his throat and you came back to reality. You blushed and apologize. Phantom smiles and said it was ok and that you guys should hang out sometime. “I would love too” you smiled as he nodded and walked away.

Ahh the beginning of a love story. Ok but really he was head over heals for you… but he thought you didn’t feel the same. Yes! You exclaim how much you love him everyday and yes you give him so much affection (that he loves and needs)

But, lately you’ve been talking to Jack a lot. Like a lot a lot. And he’s nervous. Is he better than me? Has he seen more to this life? Type of deal you know?! (I’m so sorry)

But really. He thinks your gonna leave him. He’s overthinking a lot. He’s talked to Phil and techno about it. Techno said he’s should just turn invisible and spy on them. Phil obviously strongly disagreed. ‘What could be the harm in that?!’ He thought to himself as he left to go see where you were.

He then saw you and Jack in the gardens together, laughing and holding onto each other for dear life. He felt sad, mad, disappointed and another emotion he couldn’t quite grasp. What were you doing here with him? Am I not good enough? What does he have that I don’t?

Questions ran through his mind like a running train. And they didnt stop. He got closer to you guys so he could here is conversation. After you guys stopped laughing, you sighed and slumped.

“I feel like I’m too much for Wilbur. Like I’m too hyper and too clingy for him. Like he’s a chill and super stand off-ish guy. Like whenever I hug him. I feel like he’s uncomfortable and I not want that at all. I don’t know maybe I’m going crazy but I love him so much Jack! I’d do anything for him. But i don’t know how he feels and I’m overthinking everything.” He said tearing up.

He stood there confused and baffled. You? To much for him?! Absolutely not! Never! The only reason he seems like it, is because he’s never had this kind of affection before and he’s trying to get used to it. The fact that your overthinking about him not liking or wanting you anymore is insane to him.

He went to go walk away before anything else happened, but he stepped in a rock and fell down, losing his ability to be invisible in the process. You and Jack both jumped up and turned around to see how it was.

The look in your face, showed anger, but really you were relieved he was here. Did he here all of that? Does he feel that way? Or is he going to say he feels the complete opposite and make me feel better about this relationship? You now had thoughts running in and out of your head.

Wilbur quickly got up and starting apologizing. You face softened from the angry expression. You hated how he sounded. His tone was desperate and sad in a way. He didn’t want you to be mad at him for spying, he just cares so much.

Jack walked away with a smile towards you as you went up to Wilbur. You placed your hands on his face, cupping it. “How much of that did you hear my love?” You asked.

“All of it. I didn’t mean too! I just wanted to see why you and Jack have been hanging out so much! It felt like you liked him more than me and I had a bad feeling and-“ he rambled on, until you pulled his head down to put his forehead on yours.

“You don’t have to be jealous of Jack you know? He’s like a brother to me. And I’ve been talking to him alot because… well you heard.” You smiled.

Jealous. That makes sense. Makes sense why he was feeling that way towards Jack.

“Darling. You aren’t to much for me. I love how clingy you are. I love how hyper you are. I love everything about you. And I’m sorry if I seem uncomfortable. I’m just new to all of this and I’m getting used to it very slowly. Never think you aren’t good enough for me because you are so much more than good enough.” He said while grabbing your hands and kissing your nuckles. You sighed and smiled up at him.

“I’m so glad that’s cleared up. Ok now give me a piggyback ride!” You said while giggling.

hi goose this is a few days old now but finally getting around to answering this!

aaa thank you I'm so glad you like my descriptions :D it was definitely a bit tough getting back into the glass writing groove with the style I use for the descriptions and stuff so I'm glad it turned out ok

YEAHHH TATTOO TIME. every single time I see fanart of the tattoo I freak out (/pos) so much because all the interpretations are SO cool. I love seeing what people come up with because I myself have no artistic ability, I can only describe what's in my head through words, so when people are able to actually put that into art form it just makes me so happy

yes exactly that's why I wanted it on his pulse!! I wanted it to sit right over the reminder that he's human! that he has blood pumping through his veins! everyone has that blood and that heartbeat and I wanted the tattoo to sit right above that both because of the connection to his heartbeat, but also because it's the place other people can feel your pulse. it's the connection point almost between your pulse and others, if that makes sense.

(random fun fact, I can't feel my own pulse on my wrist. doctors and nurses can't get a pulse from my wrist either. like there have been many times I've gone to the doctor and the nurse has tried to take my pulse and they frown and readjust their hand and then they try the other wrist and no matter what it doesn't work and I'm just sitting there. the only place you can get a pulse off of me besides straight up feeling my heartbeat is on my carotid artery on my throat)

aaa I'm so glad you enjoyed!! I had so much fun with the format of this chapter. I plotted it out a bit before my trip, and I specifically wanted to finish ch 25 before my trip because I knew ch 26 was going to be the one I'd most want to write after I got back. I needed a REALLY good exciting chapter to come back to and the alternating format was going to be the way I sucked myself back into the story after being out of that headspace for 3 weeks straight, and it worked. it was just so cinematic in my head y'know? I can perfectly picture the flipping between past and present with like different color grading and lighting and music and all that

Thoughts on our episode oops:

This ones a lot stronger than i was expecting which is good!

- The beginning of the episode isnt quite my normal favorite beginning to an episode but it works for telling us fizz and ozzie are a couple and their actual dynamic which id say we needed screen time given to because its kind of an act (even though i liked the prior established idea fizz and Ozzies relationship might be that they find love gross despite being in a relationship bc its more about whats agreed upon to constitute it)

- Again i think itd really sell a theme to the episode if Ozzie didnt want to go with Fizz to get milk out of concern theyd be mistaken as a couple causing a part of the reason fizz gets into this mess

- i think Striker shouldve been kidnapped by Crimson who running out of men and money would rather kidnap and force an assassin to work for him or be killed than risk cutting his numbers down further after what Millie did. Especially bc arguably prior episodes have implied Striker is better at one on one fights and is easily overpowered when out numbered.

- Im not super on board with Striker pulling Fizz and Blitzo off the street so easily when if Fizz and Ozzie were a poorly kept secret whys it in the paper as proven and not a "shits hit the fan" moment? And hows he weaker than Bee when he's very clearly muscular? Maybe if Stiker was trying to grab Fizz's dogs especially the albino one recognizing them as Ozzies and therefore something hed pay a pretty penny for. -its really too bad barbie was scrapped from the scene bc if Blitzo walked off because he heard her scream and basically went to find hed only to catch as the tent burned down it would better justify him walking away from fizz than "trying to get help" which doesnt. Read as such.

-honestly too the fact blitz is implied to have killed people makes me think it wouldve worked better if perhaps fizz ans his mom were outliers but largely the issue was he put every one out of a job. Jobs that likely dont have very transferable skills. As they may have had the money to keep the circus going but never enough to replace everything lost in a moment like that. (Also a throw back to how hell doesnt have insurance)

-fizzs song is pretty good! With the music though i semi wish Look At This couldve been a song where Fizz is actually trying to fool Crim and his group into thinking Ozzie and Stolas have shown up especially because Fizz may not know much about fighting but he absolutely might know how to set a scene and inprovise. Maybe a bit akin to Make A Lot of Noise from the Toy Story musical.

-again wish Ozzies now offered to go with Fizz any time he leaves the house and Fizz (who went from saying he doesnt know how to fight to throwing a punch) says he can handle himself but hed love for them to go out together as a couple. Ozzie saying he doesnt need to leave the house and he'll have body guard everywhere with him reads too infatilizing and assuming Fizz as incompetent for my taste

- Salem did the concept art for this episode and the fact viv didnt credit them is really disappointing. If i can i would like to ask ppl be aware of that and maybe check those out bc they have every right to be proud of the work they did

- genuinely this might be the best mario rpg since bowsers inside story (2009). yes really

- i LOVE the 4 new villains!! but im really disappointed they got so little screentime 💔 like they were kind of building up to this big confrontation and it just.. fizzled out : [

- from the last world to the final boss feels really rushed. and its a shame cause i feel like everything up to that point was pretty well paced and kept me intrigued

- PROS: you get to hear yoko shimomura's absolute bangers early on. Like holy shit how is this boss theme from the first world

- like dont get me wrong I liked the endgame! but its just such a tone shift from 'haha bee lady, pretty flowers' to 'We Are Under Fucking Attack' it was so jarring

- the rabbids are by far the best characters in the game. yes really. I genuinely loved all of them (except rabbid luigi lol)

- edge is a lesbian (and idk who to ship her w yet 😳😳)

sooo tldr: sparks of hope had some hiccups, but my god it was a breath of fresh air after years and years of mediocre mario rpgs. I can FEEL the m&l and paper mario energy (the first 3) oozing from it. SOLID 9/10 pls play it
