If you're open minded enough to think/consider it, what's currently happening in Israel and all around the world with the natural disasters, wars and rumors of wars, persecutions etc. If you're wondering why everything is happening, all of this has been prophesized in the Holy Bible whether you believe in it or not, whether you believe in Jesus Christ/God or not. These things were and are made known to us (Christians), so yes while all the things happening are heartbreaking and anxiety inducing, we know that all this is taking place for the revelation of Christ Jesus. There might be other books mentioning these things happening, but in the context of who I am and Christianity I'm talking about the Holy Bible, I'm talking about Christ Jesus. I believe that all these occurances are part of the end times/last days, well some might say when is He coming? We have been told that for years. Hm, okay scoffer. What makes these days different, is the alignment of not only New Testament signs and occurances (which have been predicted to happen) which we're experiencing but Old Testament Scripture is also unfolding. We are told not to be in distress about this, but to look up because our redemption draws near. To look up because Jesus Christ is coming back, and that's the truth whether you acknowledge it or not. So, my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, continue to do the will/work of God in truth and Spirit, in holiness and godliness. Continue to be bold, strong and firm in your faith as well as the Word of God. Continue to pray for everything and everybody, the Devil knows his time is running out. Look up, my brothers and sisters, LOOK UP 🙌🏼✝️🤍.

tumblr user ranpowriter i just want to say thank you so much for posting that i was having a bad day and i thought about what you posted about fyodor and nikolai in the recent chapter and i just processed it and that made my entire day better like. thank you for pointing that out i'm not the brightest and i wouldn't have thought of that without your post so basically tldr you're awesome

If you ever happen to see this in the future, I did have another thought which I abstained from mentioning, which was that from the moment Nikolai met Fyodor, freedom became entirely impossible for him. His soul was in the Devil’s possession, in that moment, and in trying to be free from humanity he was thus (from a Christian view) trying to be free from God. This leaves one vulnerable to the devil, as faith/spirituality is what keeps the devil at bay.

If we are to say that love is from God and thereby leads to Him, and the only one who Nikolai loved was Fyodor, I think it’s neat to interpret Fyodor’s taking advantage of this as the devil profaning an emotion which should be good and faithful by taking it for himself. (IE: temptations from the devil. tempting you to have faith in him instead of God).

And, for falling so far as to love the Devil, perhaps Nikolai paid the price in the loss of everything he wanted / in having his goals crushed, and being solely under the power of Fyodor.

We see a similar theme w/ what happened to Bram where he loses his family, asks why God, and, if Fyodor is to blame for this (which given the prison scene I think he’s supposed to be????) the answer is the devil got on the way between yet another character and goodness.

It’s a very neat piece of imagery that I do not possess the literary capability to express as I’d like, haha.
