Trick or treat!
ahgdakjsfhag Y'all.
Have some healthy (ish) food. Also-
Gregory couldn’t breathe. The smoke was getting too thick for him to even focus. His Fazwatch shattered as the floorboards gave way. At least I stopped him, Gregory thought to himself as everything went black.
A few hours passed, during which Evan struggled to focus enough to see the direction Gregory had gone. He wasn’t supposed to die! None of this was supposed to happen at all!
The fire prickled at Evan’s being as he continued through the dying flames. He saw the ruined remains of Freddy, and a sharp pang shot through him at that. The main remnants of his older brother were gone for good now, and Evan had to force himself to keep moving after he hesitated.
“Gregory?” Evan called out nervously. “Gregory, are you there?”
No response. Evan took a worthless breath as he squinted through the smoke. The Pizzaplex was completely in ruins now. He saw the destroyed form of Roxy, torn savagely to pieces by the mangled rabbit. Evan reflected briefly on what could’ve possibly happened to Glamrock Bonnie again in that moment. Surely nothing should’ve gone wrong with him, but Evan hadn’t been around, and there was no way for him to be sure.
Foxy was also noticeably absent for a long time, but Evan chalked that up to the war Jason constantly had with Foxy’s artificial intelligence. He’d probably gone somewhere to hide out and avoid shows too many times, and they’d abandoned him in storage somewhere. A brutal coffin, if Jason hadn’t learned how to escape the suit.
Evan continued wandering, hoping for some sign of Chica, at the very least. She’d still been hunting Gregory, just like the others, but her behaviior still screamed “Becky” to Evan, and maybe she’d woken up from whatever monstrous urges had come over her.
“Chica? Monty?” Evan tried. It was pointless to call out, he knew. Neither of them would be willing to chat with a dead child. He’d learned that quickly enough when they’d encountered the Daycare Attendant.
“Is someone there?” a weak voice called out.
“I’m over here!” Evan scrambled to follow the sound of the voice. “Call out so I can find you!”
The exchange went on for a while before Evan realized it was just a trick. The spirits giggled when he found them, and Evan had to resume his search. “It’s not funny,” he said crossly. “There were living people here.”
“And what have the living ever done for us?”
“Their best,” Evan retorted flatly. “We can still save them, even if they didn’t save us.”

thinking about how mishandled the herb brides are because like. The Text tells us they're not sexual beings (P1 mentions them being virgins, engaged to the Earth, and not to be touched even by their husbands, almost, for a lack of a better word and to conjure an image more than anything, priestess-types) and that their dances are nonsexual and sacred (all all true and correct) WHILE. giving them detailed / 3D modeled nipples. topless. clothes very conveniently torn [in ways that would be unrealistic for actual dancing like in the fucking moshpit]. all pretty thin hairless white-passing blemishless 20-something women. being already sexualized as white-passing asian women, but if they looked more like other NPC models/members of the Kin like the Kayura models (which to me would make more sense because they are never mentioned to be mixed in the way Artemy, an indigenous man who's blonde blue eyes due to being mixed, is [while still very much being indigenous and it being a central part of his story]), it would be even more obvious and would steer even more into Very Blatant fetishization of asian women. and then one asks, are they white-passing because they're sexualized? are they sexualized because they're white-passing? was it an admission of guilt to not make them look like Kayura model, because it would be too obvious then? or is it an admission of lust for women more white-passing? is it about beauty in the eye of the beholder?
then there's bewildering and dehumanizing lore of members of the Kin being non-humans, through the existence of the Worms (literally half-soil), them being a (more or less literal) hivemind, and that being "less human"/closer to the earth (nice_dichotomy_what_lies_outside_of_it png but also... the game touches on that...) immunizes them to the Earth's disease... and yet the Brides look like women... pretty thin hairless white-passing blemishless 20-something women who someone found wise to give 3d modeled nipples to, still good for the ritual cutting... do you hear how i'm going mad yet...
edit to add because while i was so mad and it WAS in my mind i just didn't have the strength to add it when i first wrote:
and they're bought and traded between the odonghs they pair with (again, closer to cattle or things) ... ladies there's so much. there's too much.

Okay not only does Harvey need to keep "checking up" on Sebastian, he becomes the valley pimp and sells Sebastian to anyone who wants to use him. All to continue monitoring the effects of the slime on him of course, it's all very scientific. After every session the doctor takes him back to the clinic to measure and examine him, maybe have a little fun of his own.
Oh man, I've just been thinking about it...
Like, I find Sebastian to be a pretty pretentious edgelord in game, and I'm assuming he behaves the same way to other villagers, ya know?
So after what happens in the caves he ends up going to the clinic and very very begrudgingly admits that he's been attacked and assaulted, and asks Harvey to check him over?
And well. He's not Harvey's favorite patient, cause he's rude and shit, so he pretty much immediately jumps on the occasion to make everything worse. I mean, yeah, he swore not to do harm as a doctor, but at the same time, one could argue that learning some manners and to respect authority would be beneficial for Sebastian, right? And - looking at the boy's ruined hole - the damage has already been done by someone pretty well endowed...
He makes up some bullshit about Seb's hole needs to close gradually to heal properly, so he will have to start wearing buttplugs, and prescribes him something to make him a bit more... agreeable.
And it's downhill form there...

we talk about how juwon is both smart AND stupid somehow but i think a better way to say this is that he is book smart but street stupid.
hyuk directly calls him out on it when he tells juwon that dongsik will always run circles around him because unlike our boy dongsik didn't learn about the world from a textbook, he has firsthand experience dealing with people. and hyuk is so right because then juwon goes and tries to emulate dongsik and fucks up tremendously.
he graduated top of his class and that is completely in line with his character. single minded, obsessive memorization of text to the point that he knows it by heart, he is known to do that. but past the point of graduation we have no indication that juwon was a particularly outstanding detective. like he is a big time crime solving cop in seoul city, sure but he's also a nepo baby and his father definitely influenced his position. i don't even mean directly, just people trying to get on han kihwan's good side by treating his son well (i imagine they kept a lot of what they thought about juwon and his shining personality to themselves too)
so juwon is fresh out of the academy, he's top student, he's never been told off much, if at all. he has a very high opinion of himself. thing is: he knows the law well, he's quick thinking and determined but he's also extremely stubborn, unsociable and impulsive, so frankly i don't think he was a very fun person to work with and therefore not a very good employee. i can imagine heated fights and frustration of his colleagues whenever they disagreed on something. i think he was hyper aware and fed up with people's opinion of him in that 'i'm not a bad detective, everyone just gets in my way and if only they listened to me, we wouldn't be having these problems' type of way. he then proceeds to get obsessed with a certain case, goes completely rogue with no oversight and supervision, no doubt thinking that he's going to nail this and he'll show them and they're all gonna be sooo impressed and well.. we all know how that one ends.
he's so set on being right that he sees no alternative. and even when he turns out to be wrong again and again, it takes a painful amount of time for him to have an epiphany. his belief that he's the smartest person in the room comes from arrogance and entitlement and his arrogance and entitlement come from his rigid belief that if he's such a smart boy with good grades then he cannot be wrong because then what does that degree even mean, what does it all mean, who am i -> identity crisis. that's why he can't admit at first that his father is a criminal who doesn't play by the rules because then juwon's an idiot who's followed them for no reason expecting entire world to do the same. that's why he keeps running to dongsik with clues and flimsy proof expecting him to turn himself in like they're in scooby doo and dongsik's gonna go 'ahh you got me' as juwon takes off his mask. when you solve a mathematical problem you don't expect the numbers to suddenly leap up and change around or tell you to fuck off. juwon's main arc is seeing the grey between the black and white but it's also realising that humans are much more complex than a theoretical exercise and sometimes the solution is to set the textbook on fire.

I’m glad that the masters is going well, but can you work on your own masterpiece? A certain Roman Percy inspired fic…
I know you mean well, but "how about you ignore the thing you're paying thousands of dollars for so you can work on something for the hobby you do for free" is not the encouraging message you wanted it to be lol
(yes i am working on it)
