Changes For 2019

1) Lose Weight

2) Get control of this parenting thing and quit letting my mother make me feel like I’m the worst human on the face of the planet!

3) Have a decent amount of respect from my children where they don’t think it’s okay to say “No” or tell me what they are going to do when I’ve given them specific instructions to do something else.

I’m sick of being walked all over by my mother and made to feel like I’m some piece of shit she got stuck with, and when I call her out on shit I get called “liar”, “slut”, etc.  

Don’t blame me for your inadequacies as a parent, you didn’t do your job so therefore I didn’t live up to your expectations that were literally intergalactic-ally high and outlandish. 

Growing up my expectations:

1) Be skinny (with two parents who didn’t exercise and bought shit tons of junk food all the time, and struggled with their own weight)

2) Be smart (with two high school drop-out parents who knew jack shit about anything I was learning...) 

3) Everything is a lesson and I wasn’t supposed to get upset about it.  (When kids made fun of me for being fat, that was a “lesson”...when I was getting beat up by my cousins...oh guess what “LESSON”!)

4) Dress in things that literally offer no sort of shape to you or anything...aka dress modestly (So, even when I did get skinny I still felt fat because I swam in my clothes)

5) Don’t do makeup, it makes you look like a slut...

6) Don’t do anything with anyone ever physically or you are a slut...

7) Tattoos are a sign that your a slut...

8) If you are a girl you need to have long hair or you look like a “dyke” (para-phrasing, but that’s literally how my mom thinks)

Oh and the final straw...when I got cancer and got told by my dear mother, “Oh, well now I know what it’s like to have a son...” gee thanks mom just what I want to hear when I’m losing hair, struggling with my weight, marriage, just popped out two children, and already am having a big identity crisis...thanks...thanks for that.

I’m tired that I’ve never been good enough, and no matter how much I try to be what my mother wants me to I will never be good enough.  I will never be this child she wanted, and I think I’ve finally reached the point where I’m done trying to be.  I’m done trying to reach the standards that are unreachable.

because these are the facts:

1) I’m fat/chunky/thick and when I want to lose weight it will be on my terms (like now) not hers, and I’m not gonna have her guilt me on the food I eat or don’t eat and the clothes I fit into or don’t.

2) I’m not a genius, I don’t have a medical degree, or a law degree and lets face the facts I’m 30 I probably never will, but it’s okay,  I graduated high school, and I will find a job that will eventually accommodate me and my family.

3) I wear makeup and I have tattoos and I’m not a slut, in fact for the first time in my life I don’t need everyone’s attention and compliments, I feel pretty how I am and I’m sick of being made to feel like because I had kids when I was 21 that I’m somehow worth less than all the girls who went to college, got married, and then had kids.  Fantastic you had your shit together, I didn’t!

4)  Life is full of lessons yes, but there not always for me to learn from.  It’s not okay to make fun of someone for the way they look! EVER! Worse yet, when someone punches my child or me that’s not a lesson, unless it’s a lesson in giving a good right hook back.  You hit me, beat me up, or talk about me in a way that’s not alright you’re gonna see a side of me you don’t like.

Sad truth but today January 9th 2019 is the day I lost all respect and love for my mother because I’ve truly realized that no matter what I do I will never be good enough to be accepted by her.  I’m done trying and frankly I’m tired.  When I leave here I’m changing my phone number and never looking back.  You guys just lost me once and for all.
