Don't Trust Him (Visual Novel)
Creator: ArtisticVillain
Genre: Horror
R18 games are becoming quite popular as of recently, and this one is located on a ship! It has an interesting concept considering it's not (from what I can tell at least) on modern times and for once there is the luxury of topping a character, which I'm on board for (pun intended). Seeing as this one is a demo, there is a lot of loose threads and unfinished endings, so we'll see how this one will go. If you are interested, you can find more at @artisticvillain.
The story starts out with Raven drowning in the ocean. They wake up to see that they are saved by what seems to be pirates on a ship. Leon, the captain is able to save Raven after their scout, Riley sees them. Raven seems to have no memory of where they came from or why they were drowning. Raven can then talk to either Leon or Riley or head to bed. Talking to Riley has a scene for the two to stargaze while talking to Leon or going to bed will have a scene of him taking Raven to their room to sleep and falling asleep in Leon's arms. Raven dreams of them and their childhood friend making sandcastles, only for them to be dragged into the water and drown. Upon waking up, Raven hears someone masturbating next door and upon hearing this, decides to go and sneak into the room. He talks to Riley about Leon and his nightmare, with Riley being pretty annoyed when Raven talks about Riley. Asking about the locked room will make Riley warn Raven to not go into it, and Raven tells him they won't. They go into the dining hall together and we meet the other members, Yoru and Dia. Raven compliments Yoru about his cooking after everyone eats, and we learn about how Yoru used to cook a lot when he was younger. He seems very happy getting this compliment from Raven. Raven talks to Yoru about the nightmare that they've had. Yoru recounts how he thinks it's cute you remember him first, and Raven thinks about how familiar Yoru looks. Raven goes back to see Dia in the dining hall to help him clean up. He mentions that it's been a while since they've had a new person, but Raven notices that there are a lot of leftovers. Leon comes in, scaring Raven for a spell before going and talking to Yoru about obtaining a headband. They gossip about how Riley always sleep everywhere, before Riley interrupts. Raven teases Riley about jacking off. Raven goes back to their room to meet Yoru, who ties the bandana around Raven. Raven can ask about why there was so much food (which he side steps) and they ask about what Yoru was obsessed about earlier. Before muttering that it was Raven, Yoru talks about a teddybear that he had when he was a kid. After leaving, Raven goes outside to see that it's evening. Raven then has the choice to check the room next door.
If Raven goes to the room, they see a sleeping Leon. Checking the nightstand drawer will cause Leon to wake up. Leon knocks out Raven and ties them up, leading them to a room with a ton of pictures of them. Raven gets mad, and Leon tries to talk them through it. Raven threatens to scream, but Leon assures them that no one will come for them. Leon seems to know Raven from before, but Leon pins them down. Doing this can initiate a sex scene, have Leon kill Raven or confessing that they like him. If Raven confesses, and Leon does too, calling Raven, Vespa. Raven questions if Leon actually likes them or if they're just a placement for Vespa, who was Leon's past lover. Raven basically goes through a therapy session saying that he shouldn't use them to replace Vespa. Leon denies this and reveals that the ship is cursed, stuck in time (which is why time passes so quickly). Raven is revealed to be sort of the reincarnation of Vespa (in a way) though at the same time, not really? Leon confesses he loves Raven as their own person and then they have sex.
If Raven instead checks Leon's pocket, they will go into the room to reveal all of the photos on the wall as well as a collection of knives. This causes Raven to freak out for a bit, before deciding to examine the photos to see if they can recall their memories. Leon catches them, but instead Riley knocks them out. We head over to Riley's room to explain what Raven found in Leon's room. Raven can initiate a sex scene (this is the dom scene I was talking about) or simply sleep next to him.
If Raven decides to not go to the room, they will wake up the next day to find the room unlocked. They decide to not go in and instead head to the dining room to meet everyone, but finds that Leon isn't there.
I think this might be one of the first r18 VNs I've played recently where the MC isn't in a modern day time and working a job (well, I guess technically we don't know when it is since they're on a time loop locked ship), so I did find the setting pretty cool. It was hinted at that there was something wrong with the ship, with Raven wondering how time passes so quickly, though it's not exactly how or why everyone is cursed. The idea of it is pretty good, but I feel that the reveal was... a bit strange. There is only one scene that reveals this twist, and that's before a sex scene with Leon, where we find out that the ship is cursed and that they are more or less stuck in a time loop. Personally, I think it's really... weird to have this reveal since it's not really that related to what's going on (revealing the reason why Leon is a yandere) and not at all what I expected. Personally, I think it would be better if the reveal was placed elsewhere since it was really jarring to have it right before a sex scene. Speaking of sex scene, I do think it was nice (?) to be able to top a character. I'm not sure if this will be more common as r18 games are released but I do find it a nice change to be able to be the one on top, but that's just a bias thing.
From what I can tell, all the pirates on the ship- Yoru, Riley, Dia and Leon are all yanderes and seem to know Raven from their past. Dia I'm the least sure of since he doesn't seem to have any implications of knowing Raven, but the other three do for sure. The other characters have glitchy text that have implications of knowing Raven, from Yoru talking about how he can't say that Raven was the one he was obsessed about, to Riley finding it weird that Raven remembered Leon first out of everyone. I'm not sure why they don't seem to tell Raven that they know them, though it may be because of Leon, considering the other characters seem pretty scared of him. Leon as a yandere is a replacement yandere, which I haven't seen too much at least in r18 visual novels. It's really weird to me that Raven goes into a therapy session with Leon before they have sex in one of the endings, which is a choice. As a replacement yandere, he tries to summon Vespa his former lover through Raven, seemingly obsessed with her (and possibly afterwards) with sex. Usually I don't find this common in r18 yandere games since I find that most people don't want to be a replacement for another character (which makes sense) but I do think the concept is pretty cool since it's rare for me to find it. I am curious about the dream that Raven has where they're swept up in the ocean after making sand castles with their friend. I wonder what relevance it has to the rest of the plot. I also wonder why Leon suddenly disappears in at the normal route if you don't go into his room. Maybe he finally was able to escape the boat.
Anyways, considering this is just a demo, there isn't a whole lot yet. But, hopefully the creator will be able to make more and if this interests you, please take a look.

yoohoo!!! @nabi004 and @mialuna4 and that one anon!!! sick angel request!!! many thanks for the love <3
14 Days With You is an 18+ Yandere Visual Novel. MINORS DNI
~A Sick Angel~
“Can you please—”
“No.”
The past few minutes had been like talking to a brick wall. [REDACTED] hadn't let you move an inch from the bed since you’d woken up in an agonizing daze.
Sure, you felt like complete shit, maybe a little on the side of a fever. And the moment you sat up you wanted to scream. But it was manageable. If you tried, you'd be able to make it through a day at the library.
Blue eyes quickly narrowed, as if they knew exactly what you were thinking. It was frustrating how stubborn they could be when he wanted to.
You attempted to frown at your companion. Nothing really changed about your haggard expression—thanks to your face and entire body feeling like dead weight—but your tone worked well enough. “I need to go to work today.”
“Not happening,” he insisted as he reached up to your forehead.
You closed your eyes for just a second. His cold palm against your brow was too heavenly to ignore. “I don't want to let Elanor down. Today's really important for her,” you croaked.
They didn't bother to hide the momentary disgust in their tone at the mention of your coworker. “She wouldn't want y’working either, Angel.” As if to prove his point, they tapped away on your phone. He'd been holding it hostage behind his back.
Only a minute later, it dinged with a response and he finally held it out to you. Elanor had sent a polite and elaborate text as always. You read through it while he continued to run both of their cold hands over your heated face like two makeshift ice packs.
Good morning, [REDACTED]. At least I assume so from how brief that message was? Thank you for letting me know Y/N is ill! I'm sure they must be worried about missing today's event but we can handle it just fine! And I’m happy to take some pictures for them! Please take good care of them and give my well wishes. Regards, Elanor.
You raised an eyebrow and scrolled back up to the paltry message he'd sent her.
sick no work
Somehow, it was probably the nicest thing they'd ever managed to send any of your friends. You looked back up at him with what was meant to be a pout. “Okay then.”
With instant trust in your word, he stood up to leave the room. He soon returned with his arms full. A cold compress, medicine, some drinks, and anything else they thought you might need. You lightly rolled your neck and resigned to your fate as a patient when he sat next to you. The medicine and drink he offered were swallowed without fuss on your part, then you laid down. The throbbing pain already seemed to calm as you did.
The compress stayed at his side instead of being placed on your forehead like you thought. You felt their hand on your cheek yet again, a more noticeable chill to his rough skin this time.
“Just in case it feels too cold f’you,” he explained before you even asked.
It felt perfect, so you didn't mind at all. You practically purred in relief at the gentle circles they rubbed. You tiredly looked up to him as you complained, if only to tease them, “I'm a little disappointed you didn't bring out the nurse outfit.”
“‘Course you are.” His eyes lit up with mischief, a knowing smile cut across his lips to match your playful one. “I'll make it up t’you when y'feel better, yeah?” Their thumb slowly traced back and forth from one corner of your mouth to the other.
“Germs, you weirdo,” you reminded him. Though you didn't bother to shake off his hand, weak as you were. “You’ll get sick.”
“Y’worried about me, love? Cute. But I promise ‘M not gonna catch whatever you have that easy.” They leaned down to kiss your flushed temple, eventually settling propped up on one arm to lay as close as possible beside you. Faintly warm breath tickled the top of your head until you drifted back to sleep under their watchful gaze.

Satoru Gojo
Gojo will do you anywhere you like, but he really enjoys the kitchen than the transition into the bed. To him, it feels very intimate and domestic in a way that just warms his heart. Like something out of a romantic novel.
Kento Nanami
Anywhere where with visual privacy. You both don't mind who hears. It's sex but who sees is a different story unless someone you both know is involved. So he'll take you anywhere you can't be seen and will be comfortable with.
Suguru Getou
Suguru will take you in your bedroom only. Being the amazing lover, he only sees jt fit to do it in the most private places because much it can get intense it can get. Also, you tend to feel tired, so he would just reather clean, kiss, and cuddle you after.
Toji Fushiguro
Anywhere where you are comfortable and no one can see you too. He'll take you in the kitchen, the bathroom, your office, anywhere in the comfort of his or your house. As long as no can see.
Ryoumen Sukuna
Ryoumen is kinky but would never let his beautiful innocent wife be seen, much less heard by anyone but himself and Urumen. This he justifies by saying you were innocent and sweet, hed hate if his horniess will ruin the perfect imagine you portray to others. So as no other soul is close enough, trust he'll take you.
Ino Takuma
Ino doesn't do public in fear of getting caught (like once before), so literally, any free surface in your shared apartment is usable. Sometimes hell, place you on the dyer, against the fridge, and even on the balcony really late.
Chousou
Because Chousou is very new to sex you tend to do it in bed, but he has a new love for the sofa. He never knew there were so many positions you and him could on it and find you riding him there is much more intense.

what do you make of samurai remnant so far? As it's a weeb game, I don't expect any of the normal review sites I trust to cover it
I /hate/ Musou combat and I'm sick of Servants, so me avidly talking about this game means it's way better than even my biases can overlook.
Here's the thing: the vast majority of Type-Moon games fucking suck, because they make visual novels, not video games. "The story's good enough to make you play through this abomination" is the battlecry of Fate/Extra fans. If it wasn't for Melty Blood they might not even have any games where people play for the actual game.
This is not the case with Fate/Samurai Remnant. It's not here to blow your mind out of the water, but it's clearly a title made by people who are both great fans of the source material and are very experienced with producing games on a budget. Solid execution all-around from combat design to character art to environments.
The most notable thing about FSR though is that this game cares a lot about how things are supposed to feel. I've talked enough about how great it is to have Servants feel like real powerhouses again, but this level of care exists within the rest of the game.
"How would it feel to be partners with a superpowered being?" is the defining question informing the majority of the game design. If there's a high place you can't climb without a ladder, Saber simply throws you up there with their superhuman strength. If you're squeezing through a tight alleyway, Saber simply reappears via magic on the other side, sometimes getting ahead of you and waving mockingly while Iori can only grumble and slowly pull his fleshy human body along a tight crevice. There is actual destruction in the aftermath of the first Servant battle that you can see for yourself, which informs Iori's motivation of putting an end to this death game. Iori's neighbors express relief that he's safe because they saw his house explode, or tell him about the whereabouts of his sister Kaya, making the town feel just a little bit more like a setting Iori actually lives in.
As Iori's relationship with Saber grows, the game also tacks on more and more mechanics involving their cooperation. At the very start, Saber cannot be controlled whatsoever and is entirely dependent on the AI. As you progress though, you unlock the ability to give Saber commands and even play as them for a short time. But that's not all, Saber's AI will also start to cooperate with you, following up on enemies that Iori knocks away with a finishing move, or calling for special partner moves called Link Strikes. When you're in trouble, there's even a chance Saber will come rescue you, activating a quick time event where they lock blades with the enemy, attempting to push them back.
This is what the whole game is like. Samurai Remnant doesn't have the resources of an AAA game with an army of developers to create features like ultra HD 4k textures for all environments or realistically shrinking testicles, but you can feel most ideas started with a question of "What would it be like to have Saber here and how do we depict that in some way?" Saber would be fascinated at modern (17th century) Japan, so they often run from place to place pointing out new things to gawk at and demanding explanations from Iori. They didn't have food stalls, paper, or money in their life, so Iori has side missions to buy from every food stall to satiate Saber's hunger, which murders your wallet in-game as you are a poor ronin living hand to mouth every day and need odd jobs to make money.
It feels good to play, and not even as a Type-Moon fan where a lot of these things are something I've been asking for. I mean it's good to see another mid budget game that's neatly focused on simple, solid execution. Most review sites are giving it around a 7.5-8/10, and I'm telling you this isn't a 7.5 from a Type-Moon fan pleading with you that playing Fate/Extella's Altera route makes it actually worth it, this is a 7.5 from people seeing a decently hefty, well-made title.

hmm im curious. whats olba about :0?
Oh anon you have no idea of what you just asked-- let me get my teacher costume
AHEM
OLBA or Our Life: Beginnings & Always it's a visual novel where you can play the perfect life you never got and cry about how much you wanted it after you finish it :DD (available on Steam for pc and Itch.io for both pc/mac and android!)
You play as-- well, you (or not, you choose)! You can choose your name, last name, pronouns, appearance, personality, hobbies, everything except your family, but you wouldn't like to change them for anything after you meet them.
You start the game as an innocent 8 years old kid that meets a random guy that tells you that he just moved across the street, he also tells you about his son: Cove! who has the same age as you. This guy tries to bribe you with 20 dollars, you can accept or refuse (or run! i like that option), either way you end up in a poppy hill behind your house and find the so famous Cove! He tells (cry) you that his parents just divorced and that he miss his mom ( :c ), you can comfort him or not, but you two still will be found by both of your families and have to go home.
That's the prologue! Gameplay aspect: it consists in 3 Steps of your life: 8, 13 and 18 years old! Each Step comes with 5 Moments, where you can spend time with (mainly) cove, if you're playing the base game. Talking about base game! You can complete it in around 5 hours (that's what took me the first time i think), and it comes with a 4th Step that work as an epilogue!
There are 6 paid DLC's (and a free one that is a name pack), 3 are other 15 moments for the first 3 Steps, 1 is a wedding dlc for our lovely Cove <3 (we'll get to him in no time), and the last 2 are extra content for two characters you'll meet in your very first playthough: Derek in Step 2 and Baxter in Step 3 (you should know this one very well if you follow me lmao), each with 5 moments extra for their assigned Step and their own Step 4 where you can follow and give proper closure to their stories!
I'll try to not ramble a lot because it's something you just need to experience yourself to get it but-- i will introduce you to the love interests! (or friendship interests, you don't need to crush on anyone to have a great time)
Cove Holden! Our lovely neighbor that we see almost everyday for like 10 years! You could also call him the second main character after you, since you learn more about him and his family during all the game. He's an introvert and ocean nerd (in the cutest way possible), depending on your choices you can shape his personality/style and become best buddies, the sweetest couple or just remain neighbours that never really got along. (you'll learn to love him, platonic or not, trust me)
Another perk of the game is that no matter what you do there's not "wrong or right" (unless you feel bad for the characters, like me), your actions does have consequences but there's nothing like a "bad ending/good ending", after all it's just your life, it goes on no matter what! Unless you want to reach a specific scene you found online you'll never have to use a guide for anything.
Derek Suarez! A caring guy! mabye a little too much, he's the oldest brother of 3 and that shaped him in a way that he always feels responsible of everything😔. During his storyline you'll help him to learn how to relax and lean on other people :D!
Baxter Ward! A monochromatic gentleman, mischievous as a cat and emotionally repressed like a pressure cooker <3. Struggles a lot with making deep conections and being emotionally vulnerable, you can imagine about what goes his storyline lol.
He's my favorite, if you haven't noticed. He has that infuriating charm that only someone that unironically says "Hallelujah" has. A very dramatic route, he's a very dramatic guy, you should see how he texts in step 3 aghsdas.
Also! all the side characters are super likeable, from your family to the baker of that bakery that is metioned a few times!
ANYWAYS, in conclusion: this is a very relaxing game! If you like visual novels you should definitely give it a try, the amount of replayability this game has is insane. My recommendations for when you play are:
Try the base game first! If you like it you can buy the moments dlcs (theyre only 3$ each!), mabye the wedding dlc after that (if you want to marry cove that is, this one is 2$ btw), Derek's dlc and Baxter's dlc (5$ each) for last. Those are pretty much the release order but i that's also the order i enjoy the most!
(play this game at least 2 times trying different choices/personality, the differences are ughhhh/pos)
When you're playing for the first time you should play the moments left to right. On later playthroughs you should change the order to find new dialogues! theyre small things but omg theyre so fun
Have fun! do whatever you want, i literally said there's no bad or good ending, take advantage of it and be as foward or shy as you want, be a little shit or a literal angel! That is your life we're talking about.

Of Palaces, Princes and Magic - Thor x (Fem)Reader
Tumblr media
Warnings: Clueless, powerless Thor from 2011. Tons of fluff
Summary: Wandering arround your home Thor discovers evidence of the fairytale fantasies of your childhood and promises to make your dreams come true.
Note: I wrote this last night on my phone with the last bits of battery I had and post it on the morning from the laptop. There is no editing or proofread.
Tags: @thorsslxve
Allowing a stranger inside your home wasn't your initial intention, but you kept stumbling with him untill you realized he had nowhere else to go. From the barely understandable bits of explanations you got from him, your first guess was that he may have just escaped from a cult, but that didn't make him necesarily dangerous. He was lost, clueless of the world after abandoning the place that was all he ever knew. You did remember him mentioning something over the lines of ' being casted out as a punishment' and that seemed to comfirm your theory. A cult linked to norse mythology, with a leader believing himself to be Odin who had raised him as his son.
Thor lived in a fantasy world and you could tell he was harmless because he never meant to hurt you in any way. He probably required of professional help, but to get there he needed to reach some bassical functionality. If many people would get to hear more of his nonsense, he would end up locked and that possibility saddened you deeply. As far as you could tell, he probably had been physically disconnected from the world all his life already. Besides, it was clear that he trusted you, because the out of place displays of odd arrogance he had with everyone else didn't happen much between you. For you he only had a quirky but lovely chivalry that sometimes was enough to make you live his fantasy for a while.
From all the decorative details in the place, his atention was focused in a miniature replica of Cinderella's castle you had on a table near your bookshelves. A beautifull toy incluiding small figures of characters to habitate it, so delicated and romantic that you kept it as decoration even if you wouldn't play with it anymore like when you were a little girl.
" Do you like it? " You asked him, followed with a sweet smile of encouragement. " It was my favorite growing up ... I'm a grown up woman and I still love it."
The last part of the explanation confused him a bit.
" I don't see why age would fundamentally change your appreciation, it's a fine sculpture of a castle fitting for the aesthetic preferences of a lady."
You couldn't help chuckling a bit, then showed him how to unfold the toy in order to see the inside and put it all back in.
" It's a toy, for little girls to play with." You corrected him. " Many girls enjoy playing pretend to be princesses as children, but when we reach a certain age we stop thinking of palaces, princes and magic... Unless we are reading a fantasy novel or something like that. It's stuff of tales and Disney movies, not reality."
The answer surprised him even more, but there was some sort of sadness in it. Pretty much as if he took pitty on the fact.
" Are people like me casted out to remain only in the literature of this realm?" He asked, with genuine curiosity. " Which tale does this castle tells? If there is any, as your words suggest."
Even in the simplest of details, the conversations with him allways felt like the dialogue of a fairytale.
" If someone would tell me that you have came out from the pages of a fantasy book, I would believe it."
" Yet you can't believe that Asgard is my homeland." He mocked you in return. " I'll convince you, all your doubts will be clarified once I will have my mighty power back."
You didn't argue with him, there was no need at the moment.
" Alright, your highness ... Do you still want me to tell you the tale?"
Thor smiled in agreement and you began to narrate using the playset castle as a visual guide. The fact that a grown man was just being introduced to the tale of Cinderella felt quite odd, but very cute. He was particularly intrigued with the fact that the King found no issue on letting his son marry a servant that presented herself to him magically disguised just because she was the owner of the crystal shoe.
" ... Even if she was the rightfull heir of the household, her stepmother made her a slave and that's a downgrade that should have disqualified her at the eyes of the King. How could the prince convince him of blessing that union? "
He was taking the story seriously and it was hard to provide answers in that perspective.
" I guess he simply indulged his son and let him marry the woman he loved. Prince Charming fell for Cinderella at the Royal Ball, he had no idea of who she was back then. The girl was a princess in spirit and maybe the King saw that, the crystal shoe proved her worthy of the prince."
For some reason, your answer made him smile a bight brighter than before.
" I believe you are a princess in spirit. " Thor sweetly confessed. " ... and a magnificent storyteller."
His pure cuteness was too much for you and behind your own smile heat has started to take over your face.
" Me, a princess? Please! You don't have to flatter me for hospitality. I haven't wore a tiara since I was eight."
Thor looked at the little figures of Cinderella and Prince Charming in their miniature balcony, then glanced back at you as if a new strange idea had just occured to him.
" What if you could experience what's like to be a princess? Would you believe me then?" He asked you out of sudden. " Not only about Asgard, but about my very sincere perceptions of you."
You began to wonder if the last part was some sort of romantical approach and were quite confused about that. He was very sweet and you loved his company. It could be said that you fancied him too, but encouraging him would be taking advantage of the strange situation and you would never do that.
" It's allright, Thor. I'm fine just like this. We are friends, you can help me arround ... "
" I insist, that's how I will repay you for all the troubles I have caused. " He cutted you off with determination. " I will take you to a real Royal Ball."
He sounded so serious about it that you began to question your own sanity.
" The noblefolk would be judging, It's a bad idea. "
" They will see you like I do." He optimistically replicated. " Your looks will reflect your royal spirit and you will not have to flee at midnight. If that's your desire, you will get to dance with a real prince ... Maybe two, if Loki also requires it. Ask him nicely and we may convince him of hexing your shoes to look as if made of crystal."
You giggled out of a pure, sweet surprise while hearing the details of the fantasy he was almost roping you in.
" That's very sweet. You are the sweetest man I have ever known."
You were gazing into each other's eyes when he formalized the promise.
"Currently less than what you deserve, but I will fix that soon. I will be back to my former glory, I will be worthy of you and In honor of your infinite kindness and patience, I shall make your dreams come true. "

✦ Lost in Limbo Masterpost ✦
Everything you need to know about the game so far! 💜
Tumblr media
When you finally quit your dead-end job and move back to your mother's house in the ever-peaceful town of Faybourne, you think things could only get better. However, the moment you set foot in your childhood home, a harrowing nightmare long forgotten reappears to haunt you once more.
A tower that crumbles in the vastness of a bleeding sky. A voice that mourns and yearns for something.
Nothing could have prepared you for what awaited you behind that door. Nothing and no one could have warned you of the danger you would be in if you returned to that town.
You wouldn't have listened.
Torn away from your peaceful life and thrown into a world of danger and deceit, you are at the mercy of the Seven Sovereigns of Limbo, almighty gods that have sworn to be your protectors...as long as you prove yourself useful.
As the consequences of a plan set in motion long ago start to unveil, will love be the key to your freedom, or the first chapter of your downfall?
✦ THE STORY ✦
Tumblr media
Lost in Limbo is a dark fantasy & romance visual novel taking place in the mysterious realm of Limbo. Take the role of River Winchester (full name and pronouns changeable), a human dealing with common-life problems, as you find yourself trapped in a foreign world of danger and deceit.
Try to survive and go back to your family with the help of the Seven Sovereigns, gods who rule over Limbo and have sworn to be your protectors...even if their intentions may be completely different.
Which of the Seven Sovereigns will be in charge of your life is up to fate, but whether you fall in love or in disgrace... is up to you.
✦ THE GAME ✦
✦ Lost in Limbo is rated +17 and will include mild horror, implicit and suggestive sexual scenes and discussions, sensitive topics such as toxic family relationships, anxiety, depression, depictions of alcohol / drug use, etc. Each route will have content warnings available for the player.
✦ The game and demo will be released on itchio and then steam. Other platforms (mobile/nintendo switch) are being considered and will depend on future kickstarter stretch goals.
Keep reading to know more about the game and the choice system, the cast, the MC and the Demo release!
✦ The game WILL NEVER depict gruesome scenes such as torture, sexual assault or any kind of overly cruel violence. The game has some fighting, a few deaths, and some unsettling descriptions, though!
✦ There will be different choice systems that will give shape to your playthrough:
Trust Points centered around your Love Interest; a low level of trust can translate into Bad Endings*.
Plot-driving choices that will shape the story and its possible endings.
Personality choices that will determine the nature of the MC's relationship with the LI, as well as how the MC reacts to certain events.
Flavor choices! These don't impact the game directly, but are there for the main objective of the game: having fun!
*In Lost in Limbo, there's not only one correct answer and one wrong answer. There's different ways of earning trust points without having to stick for the "one and only right answer", and mistakes can be redeemed...sometimes.
✦ Lost in Limbo treats consensual sex as a natural, integral and positive part of the game. Every Love Interest will approach it differently based on their experiences and their preferences; the player will have the choice whether to engage or not* without being penalized.
*Amon's route is strongly centered around the sexual tension between him and the MC, and how this attraction quickly develops into a physical relationship. Sexual scenes will be more frequent than in the rest of the routes and can be skipped, but happen nonetheless.
✦ This is a LGBT+ game.
✦ THE CAST ✦
Tumblr media
The Seven Sovereigns: Because a family of gods can be a father and his six children...with all the problems that this entails.
✦ Lost in Limbo features seven Love interests and a wide cast of secondary characters yet to be revealed. Each Love Interest is in a different stage of their lives and has a past and personality that molds their relationship with the MC into different kinds of romance.
✦ The routes will be episodic, meaning that the game will update regularly with new chapters instead of the complete routes being released all at once.
Tumblr media
As the older sibling, Amon had plenty of time to learn how to be a god living amongst mortals, and yet, that hasn't stopped him from indulging in mundane pleasures...greatly so.
A frantic-paced and intense romance in which a physical relationship blooms into love with a great deal of hardships to overcome.
Tumblr media
Dedicated and brave, Praefectus Raeya takes her role as Limbo's protector extremely seriously, but the truth behind the realm's darkest times will soon put her loyalty to the test.
A woman bound by duty and a romance full of yearning and mutual pining. A route centered around trust, forgiveness and finding the strenght to fix what's broken.
Tumblr media
Pronounced [ɡaˈel]
Master of the Grand Houses, Gael is admired for his humble and altruistic persona, but a dangerous secret has kept him away from love his whole life.
A fake-marriage scenario turns into a forbidden romance for a man who has been denied affection since the day he was created.
Tumblr media
Stripped of their name and shunned after commiting treason, the Sovereign now known as Lord Envy lives a life of solitude—if only he could get rid of his siblings.
An enemies-to-lovers romance, a betrayed heart that needs healing, and a god who constantly denies themselves from being happy.
Tumblr media
Kind and caring, Ara is not only determined to make your time in Limbo a happy thing to remember, but also to make things go back to the way they were, no matter the cost.
A charming and playful romance and the tale of a girl who takes matters into her own hands—for better or worse.
Tumblr media
As the youngest sibling, no one expects anything from Xal, not even himself. He is seen as a good-for-nothing and a poor excuse of a god, but you two are about to prove everyone wrong.
A first love romance about a young god who was born in the wrong side of the universe, and how someone can be the reason to try again where you once failed.
Tumblr media
Creator of Limbo, Father Pride has to watch over the safety of his realm and the happiness of his family. However, the life of the God of Limbo can be solitary...and that solitude can lead to one's demise.
A convoluted love story about a god that can't let go, as much as he wants to. A dramatic route where the right decision is never the easiest to make.
Pride's route is the sometimes hopeless tale of an all-mighty god brought to his knees. His good ending will be "harder" to obtain than the rest of the cast. It'll be the last route being written and produced because of its weight plot-wise.
✦ THE MC ✦
River Winchester (name and pronouns changeable) quit their job and had to move back to their childhood town to live with their mother and grandmother. Old family dynamics and the dread of an unknown future await them—as well as a cryptic nightmare they have been having since they were a kid.
A past buried under years of lies must come to light sooner or later, if you are able to put together the pieces of the puzzle and live to tell the tale.
✦ River is a strong, hard-working individual who isn't afraid to jump into action. In the game, you'll be able to play River as more bold or more timid, but the core of their personality will remain. River is funny, kind and a bit too stubborn—but you choose how to manage those traits.
✦ River also has some tastes and hobbies, as well as an undying love for food.
As the development progresses, we will tell you more about the personality-choice system!
✦The MC is written as an adult who is at least 21 years old. The player can headcanon their character as any age they desire, but every route is written so the MC is of an age similar to that of the love interest*.
*Except for Father Pride.
✦ THE DEMO ✦
Will feature:
The first version of Lost in Limbo's prologue
Customizable first name, last name and pronouns of the MC (she/her, he/him, they/them) or use a default name; River Winchester.
Over ~42k words (around three hours of gameplay)
Seven CGs (one per character) + mini-CGs to enhance the experience!
Over 25 different choices (some of them timed!)
✦ DEMO RELEASE DATE: TBA*
*Being extremely positive, we are working to bring you the demo early 2024, but we don't want to make any promises we can't keep. We are only four people and sadly, we can only work on Lost in Limbo in our free time.
If you have made it this far—thank you for your time! We are sorry for the obnoxiously long post. We hope it has been useful to at least solve some questions you may have about the game. You can always ask us anything and we will reply as soon as possible! 💜

I think it's sorta weird how the Protagonist (MC, Y/N, Stinky, whatever you wanna call him) is treated within the context of DDLC's meta.
That sentence came out weird. What I mean is that on terms of DDLC playing with the 4th wall (in other words, on terms of its actual existence as a visual novel in universe), the nature of the Protagonist's...well, entire existence, is up in the air.
Dan Salvato literally stated that he doesn't actually see him as a character in the same way as the girls. He's a "blank slate that says whatever is convenient." In a different statement, he's described as the "nameless, faceless self-insert character that you find so commonly in romance games", which I think is a good way of putting it. It's a good way of justifying why he kinda...sucks, because he's meant to be a typical VN protagonist. He's shallow, and responds with little more than what makes sense in context, because he doesn't have much character on his own, which is what makes him pretty bad at dealing with delicate issues like with Sayori.
In DDLC+ (spoilers, I guess?), it's a little bit vague about it, but in one of the mails, it states that Monika has literally "manufactured" a new character to "force interaction between her and the user". This character is heavily implied to be the Protagonist of the main DDLC visual novel that we know, and he is, as stated, noticeably absent from the Side Stories, because Monika didn't actively create him to be there.
Except...he isn't.
He doesn't physically appear, but in Trust, though he's obviously not mentioned by name, it's implied that he does exist, because when asked to act like a "normal person" responding to the Literature Club, she imitates a friend of hers who says "Literature is stuuupid. I'm joining the Anime Club."
...Remind you of a certain someone?
I feel like I'm overexplaining this, but my point is, it suggests that the Protagonist as a character isn't just something Monika invented out of thin air, or at least he's heavily implied not to be.
I think there's a larger conversation on the vague way the game itself treats the world outside of what is defined within the limited scope of Doki Doki Literature Club. Fans have filled gaps of different characters and events, but it's important to acknowledge that they're gaps filled by fanon, not canon. I think those gaps are left very intentionally empty, mostly to play into the conceit of the world, being that literally nothing actually exists outside of its boundaries, because it's a visual novel. It's a limited, constricted reality, where things are implied to exist outside it, but they actually don't.
In other words, Monika did apparently generate all that makes up the Protagonist as a character and vehicle for the player in the main game, based off the limited concept implied by their interaction in the Side Story. Or, rather, probably by something else, since the side stories are inherently a "Control Simulation" where Monika doesn't have any sense of meta awareness. It's a prequel set before the main story, but...well, if you really think about it, it's implied to tie into the main story, but they don't directly link up, do they? If it's not explicitly shown on screen in the main line Doki Doki Literature Club, did it even happen?
Either way, the Protagonist is a character independent of Monika's creation, he's just given absolutely nothing, and technically doesn't even exist outside of what's implied of him. Technically, the character Monika creates as a vehicle for the Player has no real relation to him, outside of being Sayori's friend and wanting to join the Anime Club. Or, depending on your view, he does! Since he's the literal manifestation of that character concept where it didn't exist previously, it's fair to say that he is that character given life!
I don't know, I think it's just kinda fascinating in context. I don't really like a lot of the extra lore surrounding the whole thing in +, but there are plenty of interesting things like this which have been given just enough flavor to be interesting.
Obviously I don't think this means the Protagonist is a complete non-character and any & all fan interpretations of him should be defenestrated (quite the opposite actually, reality can be whatever you want, I have a few concepts with him floating around my head which I find fun to play with), but I think this sort of thing is probably important to keep in mind on terms of actual investigations of canon.

raging loop is on sale on steam again so I'm going to give my propaganda about it since I've done it a lot on twt but I don't think tumblr was ever properly subjected to it. So.
-it's an 8/10 at best but WHAT an 8/10 it is
-FULL of insane people. no one in this game is normal and I'm including the 3 year old when I say that
-haruaki is still my favorite vn protagonist ever. he's 999 junpei if you made him 100x worse. im going to kiss him and then punch him down the stairs
-incredible theming about cycles of abuse and isolation and the purpose of folk religions that I can't get into without spoiling the whole fucking thing but Guys Just Fucking Trust Me
-it has a ng+ (in a visual novel??? its more likely than you think). that answers basically every "hey what happened there" that you might have after playing the game. including things you didn't even know you wanted answered. granted that includes some things that should have already been in the game but YOU KNOW. IT MOSTLY SLAPS.
-haruaki is there. i know I said this already but . the protagonist of all time
play raging loop. it needs a content warning for almost everything under the sun but. please. pl

I've cranked through the first half of Love Like the Galaxy in under a week and I REGRET NOTHING: how fast can I put myself outside this gloriously mature and well written Jane Austen style comedy of manners with intermittent murder. Reactions to the first 12 eps under the cut because wow I verbose when I happy
I'm 3 eps into Love Like the Galaxy and while "becoming thoroughly absorbed by Chinese Jane Austen" was not on my bingo list I'll take it.
I have trust issues with cdramas after watching GOODBYE MY PRINCESS which was the drama equivalent of the kind of dude who says 'heh heh I like a girl with spirit' but I do really love what they're doing with Niao Niao and how she's had to survive her awful aunt and grandmother (who are like Mrs Norris and Mrs Bennet, respectively) by becoming calculating, distrustful, selfish and utterly devoted to her own cause
LOVED the moment in ep3 where she tries to show her mother, who's this strict Confucian parent, the sort of nonsense she's had to put up with for years by subjecting her to the evil wiles of Aunt Norris and Grandma Bennet, she just outright pointed out the double standards her mother is operating by
anyway we shall see how things turn out! I'm finding the grounded visuals very nice too - everyone's not caked in makeup and jewels all the time, they look very comfy and believable.
oh my the softly besotted look on Torture General's face when he sees her carriage going by
he hasn't seen her face yet, he just knows she's cold, unfilial, and utterly calculating and he's fallen for her for all the reasons that everyone else reproaches her for
episode 6 of LLTG: a dispute over a writing desk has made me cry. what
This whole scene with the dreadful mother holding court and Niao Niao defending herself - so ably that she beings her brothers and cousin to take her side against her mother - GAH this is AMAAAAAZING
I adore that they don't have anyone fingerwagging at our girl to tell her that actually her mother is doing these toxic things because she deep down cares about her (aHEM, My Journey To You) - they're just being really clear that it's all dreadfully unfair.
I also love that the toxic mother is a sword-wielding warrior woman. She's so heroine-coded??? while also being a terrible person? amazing! I love the unexpectedness of it!
snerk I love this celebrity scholar deciding to Bestow a Mark of His Favour upon our girl and she tosses it right back at him
this Prince Xiao enters twirling moustaches he doesn't even have, wow
laughing my head off at the Big Romantic Rescue complete with cape SWOOOOOOOSH
this is great. I feel like I'm watching a faintly swoony BBC adaptation of a lost Jane Austen novel
also I take it back, Niao Niao isn't selfish at all - she's just realised that if she doesn't fight for herself then no one else will.  But she's not making it an excuse to be unfair or horrible to her perfect cousin, even though it would be the most understandable thing in the world
I love her, she deserves the world
ep7: I've only known Wan QiQi two minutes and I would die for her
is it just me or is this smug scholar precisely the type of man we've all come across??? NN not giving him the time of day is EVERYTHING
Third Aunt giving Third Uncle a shave: what a scene. God bless cdramas. Also, the extent to which there is a whole epic romance cdrama happening somewhere in the backstory here is AMAZING
Also: QiQi is a showy kind of BFF to have - showing up late to the party in a bright red dress and instantly pillaging the birthday gifts she brought the princess to deck you out in earrings? chef's kiss - but I'm also SO appreciative of how they're treating Yang Yang! That moment at the banquet early in the episode where Niao Niao, who can't even read, says, somewhat hurt and pettish, "I don't need to learn ANYTHING! I'm good just as I am!" and Yang Yang says, "Yes, you are!" despite being a bookworm since birth? I LOVE THEM
ahaha NN gives a speech shaming the snobby aristocratic girls for looking down on the daughter of a general, and being extravagant, and don't they know all this bounty is due to the emperor and his generals? feels like the show is buying the right to critique filial piety by kissing up to the state
the statism is the one thing I've disliked about the show so far (also didn't think much of NN snitching on her great-uncle) but that's pretty much a constant in Chinese media except for one wuxia novel I read years ago (BaiFa MoNu Zhuan/Legend of the White Haired Maiden), so onward…
"I'm Eleventh Young Master who has admired you for a long time" sHriEKing
he looks so happy too
GO NIAO NIAO BITE HER
Deeply enamoured of the way General Wan has the features and mannerisms of an animated Disney villain
"why is that unlucky person still here? he seems like a lingering ghost" impeccable "Lizzie Bennet wonders why she keeps bumping into Mr Darcy on her daily walk, after she specifically told him this was where she walked daily" energy
well I did not think the show could make me sympathise with the toxic mum, but it did, by dint of showing that the dad is intentionally playing good cop so he can enjoy his daughter's adoration while he encourages her mum to beat her???
I really hope the cruddy dad experiences the consequences of his actions here but even more than that, I'm amazed that the show has found a way to make us sympathise for the bad mum as a person without trying to make her less bad
I'm just in awe of the writing here - it's SO deft and able.
ah, this must be the bamboo forest where they store action scenes - and I LOVE that the band of lady bodyguards gets to stomp the bandits when a lesser show would use this opportunity to bring on the hero and his army of goth henchmen
aw yess! our girl is strategising their way out! It's so delightful to me - this is precisely the kind of leadership/strategy role asian dramas rarely allow to their female characters
now she's getting to command a siege!?!?! all on her own?
and then castigating herself for not being able to save everybody! BABY
on to ep12, which I have heard people cite as the Point Where The Show Gets Good, and given the fact that I've already been elmo on fire dot gif for eleven episodes I'm not entirely sure what everyone else has been drinking but sure! let's see what lies herein
oh this is the GOOD stuff
yes yes, the big rescue, the arrow pulling, all good…what really gets me is that when our girl wants to see the mass execution and Murder General holds her back, it's not bc he's patronising her, it's bc he knows she needs to hear that AhMiao's death was not her fault
this show is justifying tropes I didn't even know COULD be justified…inCREDible
Third Uncle has two braincells and my whole heart
the only thing better than the look of sheer naked yearning on Murder General's face every time he sees Niao Niao or anything tangentially related to her is his determination never to let on how he feels to his two henchmen, who have known since episode two and are eager to help
Murder General hoarding hankies, bits of string, and pencil-ends that belong to Niao Niao like Harriet Smith hoarding Mr Elton memorabilia in EMMA

Novel.
A Whole New World: Pt. 1
Summary: in this new world, you find yourself to be faced with a strange man. He claims to have friends, friends who can help. Help you from what? None of this, nothing in this world feels like your own.
Length: medium.
An: any questions or ideas? Ask away my sweets!
Tumblr media
"Oh? Are you finally awake?"
Though soft, and cautious, the sudden voice caused you to practically leap to the ceiling. Your eyes locked onto a man, a man who stood just peeking around the corner at you.
Nothing about him appeared to be immediately threatening, but that didn't change the fact that you'd either been kidnapped, or some inter-dimensional portal had thrown you into his rather dusty house.
Let's be real, it's probably the first option, you think to yourself.
You didn't say a word. Instead, you eyed him. Your hands were raised in front of your body, prepared to perform self defensive tactics should the need arise.
"I'm not gonna hurt you. I don't even know how you got here,"
The male rounded the corner fully, allowing you a full view of him. As the sun glistened through, you made mental note of his appearance: he's slim, but doesn't seem weak. A two toned blue hair, dyed, you decided, golden earrings, piercing blue eyes- and heels? You dig it. Doesn't change the fact you don't trust him. He wore a tight black shirt and pants, but over that was a white cloak with what appeared to be card designs.
"Yeah right," you scoffed, "you do a horrible job kidnapping me and come up with an even worse lie! Atleast come up with something a little less lame than 'I don't know how you got here.'"
Was passing off your captor a good idea? Definitely not. But you did it anyways.
"Hey now," He complained, "you didn't even give me a chance to explain what happened! This is breaking and entering.
"Besides, if I was gonna kidnap you, I would've tied you up or something so you can't escape."
He tapped the side of his head as though forcefully visualizing the thought of 'logic' in your mind. Well fuck. He had a point, but that didn't make you trust him.
"I can guess by your reaction you're just as confused as I am. Or, was. You've been out for a couple of hours, and I had time to discuss with a friend possibilities of what could've happened.
"Allow me to introduce myself- I'm Ike Eveland. A novelist - you just so happened to be thrown into my house."
Ike, his name was. He stared at you expectantly, and you realized he wanted you to introduce yourself as well. Understandable.
"(Name.) (Full name.) ...nice to.. meet you? My memory feels fuzzy. ...so you're.. not a kidnapper?"
This time Ike let out a soft chuckle, shaking his head. "No. I just happen to be who you stumbled across. Say, where are you from?"
It was concerning how comfortable Ike looked about this whole situation. Your mind felt fuzzy and you could barely even remember the answer the question he asked. Why was he so okay with this? What did he know that you didn't? More importantly, why didn't he call the cops on you?
"...From (location). Are we anywhere near there?"
"...huh? Where's that?"
"In (district/state) , (country). Why?"
Ike suddenly looked confused. You didn't understand why, so you threw out, "on (continent)." That made him even more confused, and he motioned down the hall. "...follow me."
As the he led the way, you realized what a long hallway this was. Dark, lit by candles, with doors that branched off into more halls, and the open rooms leading to boxes of many different themes. Your curiosity was gradually getting the better of you, and it took all of your self control not to ask a torrent of questions.
Ike walked in silence, deep in thought. The only sounds from him were the slight tap, tap, taps of his heels.
Soon enough he approached what you assumed to be an office: a rustic looking desk stacked with books, quills, and ink. He rummaged through papers before pulling out a map, spreading it out, and,
"Point to me where it is you come from."
"Well I come from-"
Slowly, you trailed off. Looking at the map, you realized something: the shape of their continents. They didn't look anything remotely similar to what you know! And.. Kingdoms. Kingdoms and Queendoms and lone territories covered the map instead of states or districts or sectors.
"...where AM i?"
You finally asked. Slowly but surely, fear settled in your gut.
Ike released a soft sigh, shaking his head. "That confirms Shu's suspicions. You're not even from here. I can tell from the look on your face," He was staring at you in total disbelief.
Whilst you were staring at him in absolute terror, too shocked - too scared to speak.
This had to be a dream.
"You're here, in Tamron Queendom. More specifically, Zhilford. Close to the palace, actually, less than two days travel." Ike explained, pointing at the map and where it was labeled Zhilford.
"...this is a dream. This is.. Ike, pinch me."
You were staring to shake. Ike mightve laughed at the request had he not seen the look of fear on your face. He reached over and gently pinched your arm, and watched your face fall completely.
"Hey. Listen, I'm not the one who should explain things. I only know Shu's suspicions, and he'll be back with the others in a bit. ..why don't I get you some water? We can ask each other questions, or you can have a look around."
Ike said kindly. Something in his eyes felt so reassuring. The former distrust you felt from him was evaporating, but you latched onto just a bit of that feeling. You couldn't relax. Not just yet.
"Sure, sounds good.. ...thanks."
Your voice was quiet. Ike could only imagine just how vulnerable you felt. You couldn't even process how he might feel.
Both of you went to the kitchen in an awkward silence. He got you a glass of water, and you sat by the island before finally, you had to ask.
"How are you.. so comfortable? You don't seem that shocked about this.. I mean. I get you're still in your world, but you must be confused. ..right?"
Ike hummed, as if in thought.
"Well.. I am confused. In many ways. Confused about how our lands don't seem to match up- curious how you got here. But magic does many unexplainable things."
"Magic?"
"Well, indeed. The world practically runs from the power of magic. Sorcery, witchcraft, or even the simple belief." Ike replied, taking a dip of his water.
"..but magic isn't real. It's just something made up to make kids have more imsgination."
"...huh?"
Ike looked absolutely dumbfounded by your comment, almost as if you'd slapped him.
"...magic is very much real! What world could you possibly come from where magic isn't real?" He asked, and you felt.. oddly defensive.
"I come from a world where one could say technology is our magic. We don't make portals or potions or fight with magical fire."
You explained sheepishly. Ike simply stared before adjusting his glasses.
"....magic is real. My friend, the one I said could explain better, is a sorcerer. Ones a former demon king, as well."
Had someone said this to you where you were from, you'd have laughed it off as some cringe kid. But now, you were almost finding it believable.
"Sorcerer? I hardly even know 'er!"
"I see our sleeping beauty is awake. You gave us quite a fright."
"Ohoo, you're awake? Nicee, man!"
"Pog!"
Four voices startled you out of your staring at Ike, and your head snapped around. Four unfamiliar faces peered back at you. Once again, that feeling of pure fear was rising in your stomach, and you slid off the island chair and slinked a bit closer to Ike.
The red-headed one in- what looked to be a cloak picked up on your unease quickly. You could tell from his step back. The other three, not so much.
"Names Shu Yamino! I'm the sorcerer, anddd.. you were indeed thrown by a portal here!"
"Mysta Rias, at your service!"
"I'm Luca! It's so pog to meet you!"
One was about ikes height, with- an odd bit of hair that you personally thought looked like a banana. The other wore what looked to be a fox hat and a big grin, and the third a very large man with tattoos, a fluffy cloak, and an even bigger grin than the lasts.
"I'm Vox Akuma. It's a pleasure to meet you."
The final voice- it was a dangerous voice. If this is a world where we consider fiction real, you thought, then he must be a siren. His voice, so deep and smooth, threatened to pull you into a state of calm so smooth you thought you'd die.
"Stop crowding them! In case you'd forgotten, they're still very overwhelmed." Ike finally spoke up, ushering them back a few paces. "Shu, your suspicions were right. I've never even heard of where they're from, and (name) doesn't even recognize our map. They've never heard of Tamron Queendom, let alone Zhilford."
Shu nodded, turning his attention to you. "The night you came crashing in here, I could feel an odd shift in energy. A bit of research led me to what happened - a shift in space, if you would. Alternate Worlds have always been a possibility. I'll give a bet that even your time had ideas and theories."
When you nodded, Shu continued on. The others were paying close attention as well.
"What could've happened, though I'm not really sure- was a spell gone horribly wrong, or a large gathering of magic in one space until bam!- space gets split open, and whatever is in that space gets dropped to the nearest world.
"In many worlds, but for this scenario I'll use ours, and even in this Queendom, we've gotten odd technology. We've never seen it before, though some we've been able to recreate. So advanced and confused. It's strongly believed they were due to openings in space.
"You, in any case, are a living example of it. Portals themselves are even harder to create. If you truly don't recognize the map, then it confirms the theory."
Shu inhaled, "so long story short, space go "weee" and snatch you. Make sense?"
Your head was absolutely spinning. It made sense but Jesus, he was so confident in his explanation! So many questions, but,
"...will I be able to go back home?"
The question all five of them had truly be dreading. The all looked downcast, and you understood. But then Shu perked back up and said,
"I'll do my best! I have connections and it'll be.. good for me to learn."
"Don't you worry bout a thing! You've got us now!" The large one, Luca, threw an arm around your shoulders and stared at you with the largest of grins. Mysta jumped in, "yeah bro! We can learn all about eachother."
"You aren't alone. We made the decision to help you assuming you weren't a crazy person. Which, you clearly aren't." Vox reassured. You noticed, and were thankful for, his respectful distance. It was all so, so overwhelming.
"..thank you."
The smallest of smiles finally found its way onto your face. Ike smiled as well, "who wants to show them around? I've got some errands to run."
"If it's all the same, Ike, I wanna tag along with you. Missed some shopping on my way here."
Which left you with the three jokingly crazies. Mysta, Shu, and Luca.
Luca was the first to perk up, "I'll do it! I claim this!" "Awh cmon man, no fair! Rock paper scissors me. Right now."
Mysta demanded. You couldn't help but snicker a bit- they treated this like some sort of honor to do. You met eyes with Shu and he grinned, waving a farewell as he whisked down the halls with a quick farewell.
"Rock, paper.. scissors!" Mysta threw rock, Luca threw rock. "Again! Rock, paper, scissors!" Luca threw scissors, Mysta threw paper. "Ohh damn it!" "Yes! Pog!" Luca and Mysta both said in unison.
You chuckled softly and Ike quickly spoke up to prevent a sulking Mysta, "you can show them around Zhilford later. Sound fair?"
"Oh finee. Ike said your name was (Name), right? Catch ya later!"
As the others made their exit, you felt that same sense of unease. Completely alone with another stranger.
Luca was still smiling at you, not the least bit bothered by your unease.
"Let's go! This place is huge! We actually only recently moved in," Luca explained to you, glancing around. "This be the kitchen! And over there," Luca pointed to a rather large room, "is the dining room." Three exits through the kitchen: one from the hallway, one large opening to the living room, and then a separate dining hall. Got it.
"Alright. Got it."
"Living room.." Luca carried on explaining rooms as they went. Bathrooms, pantry, storage rooms, apparently this place was an old abandoned castle the five had bought recently.
"And coming up, we have the library."
As the blonde man opened the door for you, you felt your jaw hit the floor. It was huge! Books of all different sizes and shapes and series with shelves that went to the roof and so many books.
You were in heaven.
Luca laughed, "you look even more awestruck than Ike did! Most of the books came with the place- but there's multiple empty shelves in the back Ike wants to fill up."
You glanced back at him with a childish smile, "I remember the first time I went to a Barnes and noble-" at the look of confusion on his face you added, "-big book store. It was heaven."
This was even more so heaven because one of these books may contain anything- even a hint- on how to get back. Luca must've thought the same.
"Say, (Name), what do you do where you're from?"
"I worked as a baker. What do you do?"
"Ohh, a baker? That's cool! Vox is the best cook, but I'm not so sure he can bake. I'm a mafia boss!"
He crossed his arms with pride, but that sent a shiver down your spine. "Mafia.. boss.. right.." You muttered, and Luca smiled in response. "Ya don't gotta be scared. I know I'm big n scary," he puffed out his chest a bit, which he had a rather- large chest- "-but as long as ya don't give me reason to think otherwise, you're under my protection!"
He reassured you, holding a hand out. Unsure what he wanted, you gave him an awkward- low high five? Which caused Luca to break into a fit of laughter as he grabbed your hand and shook it.
Of course that's what he wanted-
"I think you'll fit right in."
