My OC Eastan!
His story isn't very happy, so I decided to draw him back when he was 17-ish and sort of okay. (He misses his brother tho)

OKAY we got a lot of doodles here.
First dump consists of a Grian and NPG doodle, some Rift Scarring ideas that me and @crafted-jelly made one day in DMs when discussing an AU, some miscellaneous doodles of Hermit shenanigans, references for my Keralis design and his lore, a little Watcher Grian, a multitude of Zedaphs, and concepts for Scar’s mayoral outfit without the purple coat and blue sash
Second doodle dump has my S9 Tango design before he got his actual skin, some baby Zed, some old Bdubs Angst, a few misc doodles for Overgrown (my Mycelium Takeover AU), some JumboTimes, then some Watcher Zed and Watcher Grian concepts (that are a tad outdated), and then some Tango backstory in the bottom corner
Third is a doodle dump for an AU that me and @aestheticallynotdeerlightful made, which is basically just a Hermitcraft x Pibby AU, mostly based on the /Pibby FNF mod more than the series itself, we just wanted to draw some messed up Hermits.
Fourth are designs for some kiddos! Hermes from Empires SMP, Willy Jr from Zed’s lore, Ranchers’ Revenge from Double Life, and Tiny Tom from the Hermempires crossover (even if it’s just Jimmy n Joel’s kid, he was given to Jevin).
Next thing is some Hermempires doodles. Top left is Jimmy finding Tango’s empire in an AU where Tango ended up in Empires rather than S9, some Villain Jimmy doodles for a hero AU i didn’t do anything with, a Ranchers Tangled AU because of course, Grian’s Hermempires fir, Doc n Lizzie interacting, and Villain Joel from earlier episodes of Empires S2
Next are some Gem doodles I did, trying to figure out some different designs.
Another Hermitcraft dump, this one uh....okay so the top left doodle is uh...it is a human. version of. Jeff the Minion. I was on a call with @micer2012, @shadesofvermillionvoid, and @psihawaii. And we were watching Starkid’s Black Friday, and at one point we all saw Uncle Wiley, heard his song, and agreed “yea that’s Jeff. So I was tasked with drawing him, but Della also drew him. Maybe this will convince her to post him. Other doodles here include the scrapped S9 Bdubs design, some Hermits of the Dark Void Impulse + employee costume design, a design for Phantom Pearl during Moon Big, and an Evil X floating in space.
Finally we got a bunch of Bdubs + a Celestial Big Eyes AU I made with Ros.
That got Long and I am sorry
(reblogs with tags/comments are appreciated. Thankyu)

State of the, well, creativity LOL
So, been a hot minute, hasn't it? How is everyone?
I've managed to get far since November and the double surgery to my right hand - which, yeah, you guessed it, has put quite a brake on writing and most other hobbies of mine.
Couldn't game much, couldn't doodle, and couldn't write. I'd say the writing is still a bit of an issue, as apparently typing is really hard on the fingers.
This doesn't mean my brain hasn't been cooking as it usually does. Even more so, it seems, because I couldn't do bugger all about it.
I've still got a Legend of Zelda fic (Link/Sidon) that sits in editing purgatory right now. All 67K of it. *laughs*
I have another LoZ fic, Link/Sidon again, AU, modern setting (not turning anyone human here, all races and characters are kept what they are, how they are. Law enforcement AU
And then there is the absolute brainrot that got to me because I couldn't do anything over Christmas, apart from reading and making a dent in my Netflix queue.
Netflix: Look at this! Me: No
Netflix: But you like anime! Me: I said no. It's (super)heroes, commercialised, I don't wanna.
Netflix: But look. AT. THIS. Me: Fine, I'm bored, I'll watch it.
Took me about 3 days to get through 2 season and a movie, and the damned plot bunnies will not quit! So thanks to two absolute idiots, I now have no less then five (5!) fics planned for the Tiger and Bunny fandom.
I hate my brain. But I do adore Tiger, especially, because he's a dork, a klutz, a meddler, adorable, tenacious and a man with his heart in the right place. And he's a hero in his late thirties, a widower, a single father and he still has a heart big enough for everyone else.
Which is definitely Bunny's luck, whether he wants it to be or not. Tough shit, kiddo, Kotetsu cares about you and there's bugger all you can do about it.

Next gen x boxlietner's return
Hey fell asleep so haven't really doodles much. But imma explain A bot of how the boxliener's return au would work in my next gen verse. First off somethings would be different. Not the main plot very much. E.i. alien invasion, evil amazo guy, villains banning together to save fair city, wordgirl being poisoned with lexiconite. Since I'm adopting this au into mines (aka au within an au) I figured amazo guy would return sometime after Steven gets infused from squeaky and the next gen kiddos are born.
So all of them are there watching fair city turn into havoc. They manage to Evade being captured and hide out at word girl's secret hideout. Upset and scared they decide to find any more refugees and possibly their parents. Liam, rhea, (not counting wordgirl right now bc she's currently affected by the lexiconite) amazo lad has a better chance at Standing up to amazo guy. but at the end of the day they are still kids just trying to figure what they haystack is going on, where their parents are and  why the town's former hero is evil. So yea alot of responsibility on their shoulders now.
Chase has the worst of it though. All this time he looked up to his fathrr, stroved to be as heroic as him and then years later hey he's back! But oh no he's evil. Makes the boy question alot. Has his father always been this way all along? What did that mean for chase??? He has NO clue where his dad is. Nor his mom, or his sister becky. He managed to find Blu only because Carrie hid her when the invasion started. Where she's at now well  -shrugs-
I recall @ninjastormhawkkat saying that amazo would try to turn chase on his side. Seeing how both of them were seemingly 'replaced' geez that is angsty...  Reasons why you guys should talk things out instead of assuming. Truth of it all (not surprisingly), Steven never intended to replace amazo. (Nor teressa, or chase)  he still very Much loved him when he disappeared. He never forgot him. every day he in hopes of amazo showing up alive and well. However since he harmed one of his kids....well  that just complicate things :,)
and then there is @liloskull343 's idea about amazo being brainwashed so also another plot point to be explored

Can I have some facts on Hoshi’s little sister?? I love these little block kiddos
Sure you can!! I've picked out a name for her which I wanna reveal in like a mini comic/doodle dump of her but here are some small facts with her
-I mentioned this on her ref but she doesn't talk a lot, pretty quite kid. She's rarely shy but she just doesn't really feel the need to talk to people. If it wasn't for the fact she made noise while crying as a baby Chikara and Cementoss probably would have thought she was mute. The two where a little concerned in the beginning since they where concerned she'd have issues fitting in at school, she's sometimes called names in class which also makes her hesitant about school. She can be pretty feisty and has shoved other kids when they've called her names, Cementoss and Chikara are aware of the situation at school so they keep in contact with her teachers a lot to make sure she's doing okay
-Her favourite Auntie is Midnight, kind of looks up to her. She thinks Midnight is really pretty and is one of the few people she'll actually talk with outside her parents and brother. Since she's sort of block shaped like Cementoss she sometimes doesn't feel as pretty as other girls so she likes it when Midnight babysits her and they get to do fun girly things. Midnight in turn is quite dotting on Cementoss and Chikara's daughter...she's less fond when she comes inside the house to excitedly show her the slugs she found in the garden (Hoshi and his sister are both bug fans)
-She's a pretty good eater and eats a lot of foods, rarely fussy, but she'll refuse any kind of biscuit unless it's chocolate or chocolate chip. Hoshi gave her half of his raisin biscuit once when she was younger and she promptly chucked it on the floor in a teenie toddler rage when it didn't taste like chocolate
-She has a Pro Hero Deku toy. I think it'd be cute that Hoshi and his sister grew up being really big Deku fans, like how Cementoss was a fan of All Might since he was a kid. The toy used to be Hoshi's when he was a kid and then when he got a bit older it was given to his sister - though Hoshi is still a big Deku fan. Hoshi's sis is VERY attached to that toy and has thrown a fit more then once when her parents had to pry it away from her to wash it
-She gets along well with Higari and Ectoplasm but didn't like Riley or Haiya at first. Ectoplasm and Higari, being teachers and - in Higari's case - growing up with younger siblings himself, are very chill and patient with her, they don't force her to have conversations if she just doesn't feel like talking and Uncle Higari especially spoils her a lot, cuz that's what Uncles are supposed to do to their nieces. I've had a scenario in my head where one day Higari gives her an entire bag of chocolate chips cuz they didn't have any chocolate chip biscuits and she later went on to have a mad sugar rush and stay up super late, que an unimpressed phone call from Chikara and Cementoss. Haiya and Riley however are loud kids, louder then Hoshi, it took a while for her to warm up to them
-She's the type of kid to sleep in her own bed, then crawl into her parents bed in the middle of the night. If you want an example scenario of this just look up the Bluey episode Sleepytime on Youtube and that first interaction between Bluey and Chilli in the beginning is something she'd do

More of the Dawklings! In my au/storyline/whatever it is at this point, Tommy and Merton end up with a werewolf family of their own many years after the show leaves off, due to a summoning spell Merton tries to aid the ( now fully reformed ) Syndicate with going awry- they end up summoning two werewolf pups out of the combined energy of Merton and Tommy, instead of the ancient Blood Moon hero of prophecy that was meant to appear.
Assumed to be a magical mishap, it starts to seem after a while that this was precisely what the ritual was intended to do, and that perhaps the kids are, in fact, the heroes meant to unite human and werewolf kind against a far greater foe. Born from the hearts of incorruptible alpha and a powerful sorcerer, and their unbreakable bond, there is definitely more to them than meets the eye!
Anyway, I just wanted to draw a bunch of werewolf puppies, tbh, so here are some doodles of the kiddos!
Ash can be somewhat of a wild child, inquisitive and energetic, with a passion for art, music and the supernatural. She is obsessed with conspiracy theories and loves nothing more than grilling her parents about every single weird thing that’s ever happened in Pleasantville, while trying to take newly-occurring ones on by herself or roping her brother in.
Cosmo is on the quieter side, also a creative soul, finding his true outlet in martial arts with the tutelage of his auntie Lori. He loves drawing, reading and is incredibly driven and studious. He prefers a more peaceful day-to-day life and finds more annoyance than anything in the constant weirdness that is life in Pleasantville.
I have a couple of drawings in my head of Tommy playing ball with the kids and Lori helping raise them, too, so I’ll try to finish more one at a point! Life ended up getting really busy and this is all I have for the moment.
( Merton is absolutely playing City Drive songs for the kids in their jam session! )

I have some Kaito childhood headcanons:
- Kaito had always loved space, even as a child, and he has a lot of space themed toys and plushes. (He still goes back and plays with them every now and then, even when he’s older.) He even has a bunch of models of rockets and planets and other space themed gifts from his grandparents and some of his friends.
- Kaito was always the hero in any story he came up with or in any game he played with his friends.
- He made his own space themed cape to go with his hero persona thing. However, he wasn’t skilled at crafting things at that time, so it ended up being a little bit lopsided and more oriented toward his right shoulder (similar to how his jacket looks in-game, minus the sleeves)
- He would always stick up for his friends, no matter what. Even if it meant getting involved in fights, he’d do his best to stop his friends’ bullies.
- If any of his friends were feeling down, he’d definitely try to cheer them up. He’d do anything to see his friend(s) smile.
- Kaito always got high grades, despite most of his peers thinking that he couldn’t achieve them. To which he’d reply: “Hey! The impossible is possible! All you gotta do is make it so!”
- He doodled quick drawings of the galaxy and stuff in his notes, but if he had enough time, he could draw out a really detailed solar system.
- Well wouldn’t you know, his favorite subject was science, and his favorite science topic was space. He’d always get extremely excited during those lessons, and he’d blurt out random facts about space (which would sometimes lead him to trouble for interrupting the teacher too much). “Bouncing off the walls” almost wasn’t an expression during those lessons.
- Space themed stickers. He loved space stickers. Actually, he still loves space stickers.
- Kaito convinced his grandparents to get a telescope so they could look at the night sky together, and he would show them how he could name every constellation, alphabetically. He might have even thrown in the constellations’ backstories if he knew them (which he almost always knew all of them by heart).
- Of course his room was space themed (it still is). He had a rocket ship bed. His walls looked like a galaxy. Saturn rug. (Saturn looks the coolest.) Planet themed bean bag in the corner. Search up “space themed bedroom”, and you’ll find some good ideas for what it could look like. Also, feel free to add on.
- Space themed clothes and pajamas. (Shirts, pants, jackets, hoodies- you name it, he has it.)
Bonus headcanon (unrelated to the childhood headcanons):
Kaito has some kind of (space themed) pajama robe and when he wears it, he wears it exactly the same way he does with his jacket. Space pajamas underneath his open pajama robe, with only one of the robe’s sleeves on. (I also thought it would be kind of funny if he wore tennis shoes or sandals around his house when it’s night/bedtime to parallel the fact that he wears slippers, even during the day. But let’s be honest, he’d never abandon his space slippers, day or night.)
I feel like some of these headcanons can be expanded past his childhood though (space room, doodles, stickers, etc.). Oh well. This post could have been a bit longer, but I’ll save some of those headcanons for another day.
*slaps table aggresively* THESE ARE THE ABSOLUTE CUTEST AND I LOVE THEM ALL 🥺😭💜💜💜
I loveeee the cape one, cause I hc that he wears his jacket the way he does to imitate a cape due to him wearing capes as a kid too and the habit never went away 😭💞 And yesss I agree so hard on the grades thing, Kaito was a smart kiddo in my book and he a smart af teenager too, we don't believe in the "kaito is dumb" idea in this house 🤚🏽 And yesss he would so defend his friends as much as he could, he'd do anything to keep them safe and he'd also always be the hero in any story/games for sure 🥺 The stickers one 😭 I just imagine him putting stickers on every surface he can including in his room, like on his dresser and stuff (like i did when i was a kid lmao projection much) bUT PLEASE THESE ARE ALL SO ADORABLE, THE ONE WITH HIM CONVINCING HIS GRANDPARENTS TO BUY A TELESCOPE AND THEM STARGAZING TOGETHER IS SO WHOLESOME 🥺
But omg okay about the space themed room, i have so many hcs for that due to me being an uncreative fuck with the setting when i write oumota/saimota fic, all of them are obvi for teen Kaito but just to mention a few for kiddo Kaito's room: glow in the dark stars everywhere, an absolute must! He'd also have a space mobile with different planets that he made himself in class hung up somewhere, on the walls there would be a bunch of space doodles and drawings he's made, he'd totally have a rocket shaped bookshelf for his books 🥺🤚🏽 And not to mention the endless space trinkets, like a star shaped nightlight, a spaceman figure, a moon lamp, a star projector- *continues rambling about my kaito hcs into the void*
But ahhhh the unrelated hcs, I love the robe one sm and i think thats how he would fr wear it too 😂 BUT OMG AJAJAJAJAJAJA I FIND THE IDEA OF HIM WEARING SNEAKERS OR CLOSED SHOES AT NIGHT SO FUNNY, I LOVE IT 😭😭😂🤚🏽 But absolutely, i think a lot of these stuck with him and never left, like drawing space doodles, the space themed room, the stickers, science being his fave class (and math), the cape, always being the hero, so on so on 🥺💞💞💞 Thank you for sharing these hcs, I love them all so much!! 😭🌠💜 And sorry for writing so much asdfghjlk like always i went overboard 💀

A story by heroes and villains
Book 2: secrets revealed Virgil Anker: trust and caution
Tumblr media
Masterlist book 1
It's not easy to know who to trust and who to be wary off. But Virgil better learn soon.
When Virgil got back to the new house, he took a shower and sat himself on the couch in his pj’s. He was listening to his ‘winding down’ playlist. He was grinning to himself. Someone else was wearing his design. Sure he’d made Janus a shirt way back in freshmen year, but he barely wore it outside the house. This would be seen by tons of people. And it looked so good! He couldn’t wait till Monday. He could imagine Roman’s reaction. Would there be pictures in the papers? On the news? He just might buy a paper so he could keep a clipping to look back on later. Thinking about gushing over the costume with Roman at school made him think about seeing Janus again. J had skipped school after what happened in the hallway, leading to him having detention all of last week. He hadn’t even so much as looked at Virgil since. Not in a, “I am mad and ignoring you way,”. He looked ashamed. Scared. That was what made it so hard for Virgil to stick to his plan. Janus looked so hurt and lost and ashamed. And during lunch, he was nowhere to be found. Virgil needed to talk to Picani about this tomorrow. It would be a busy session. He contemplated where things had gone wrong for the millionth time for a while until he heard the door and looked up to see his fathers enter the room. “You’re back!” he greeted as he sat up. “So I gotta know, who’s your fourth guy?” he wondered casually. His dad just looked at him confused. “What do you mean?” “For your poker nights,” he clarified with a chuckle. Imagining Patton or uncle Thomas playing poker was kind of funny. It seemed so out of character for them. Still he couldn’t imagine what else would take all three of them getting together like this. Thomas had taught musical theatre classes, back when he was still a professor, and now he was the dean. Then again, Virgil wasn’t certain his uncle was always present. Tonight might just have been one time he happened to be there. But Patton definitely had been part of this project as much as Logan was. The past six months at the very least, but most likely from the start. “No cardgames I’m afraid kiddo. We’ll tell you about the project once it’s finished. It’s all confidential for now I’m afraid,” Patton told him gently. Virgil looked long and hard at Patton. He wasn’t lying. And confidential stuff made a lot of sense. He shrugged, letting it go. Even if his first guess was right after all and his dad was doing some kind of superhero stuff as BrainStorm, if Patton was there to help him Virgil felt assured that they’d be safe. Though he wouldn’t know how Patton, or Thomas, got wrapped up with anything involving a former super villain. “Okay, keep your secrets,” he sighed as he stretched. “Night Pat, night Lo,” he bid before heading upstairs. “Goodnight Virgil, I love you.” Virgil looked back at his dad when he heard that. “Love you to dad,” he replied with a smile. “Love you three kiddo!” Patton added, making Virgil laugh. “Love ya Pat.” And with that he went upstairs to his room. His new room was bigger than the one in his old house. But he didn’t care much about that. His old room had memories. He missed it honestly. He started to worry that he’d been too quick to say that he wanted to move out. No matter how nice the new house was, and how conveniently it was positioned, it would never quite be like the one he’d known most of his life. He let himself drop on his bed. It was pointless to think about that now. At this point, another family had probably moved into their old home. They’d brought their own furniture. Probably painted over the walls. Erasing the little doodles he’d made when he was little and bored. Before his mind could go any farther down that path, he heard a buzzing. Roman sent him a text. “Greetings! I just got back. Sorry for not checking in earlier. Could not be helped. Did you get home alright?” Virgil chuckled and texted back. “LOL. You worry too much. Hope you had a fun night.” Virgil certainly did. Just thinking about it made him impatient. Oh why not? Before he could second guess himself, he pressed call. “Virgil?” Roman sounded surprised, but Virgil was already way to giddy about his news. “I had to tell you now. I saw him!” he whispered. “Who? And why are we whispering?” Roman asked, mimicking his volume. “I’m supposed to be asleep,” he admitted, earning himself a chuckle. “Ok… Who did you see?” Roman asked. “Dream Prince!” expecting the logical next question he edited his story a little. “I went for a walk and I guess he was doing patrol in my neighborhood, I caught a glimpse of him,” well, that was an understatement. But he couldn’t tell Roman everything. Not yet. He’d lectured Prince about being cautious just today. He trusted Roman. But anyone could overhear them at any time. “He was wearing my costume! You were right! I can’t wait to get a good look at it in action!” Again. “You think someone got a picture? I didn’t have a chance. God I should’ve taken a picture so I could show you!” Though he wasn’t sure if he could’ve managed to get a believable citizens picture of him. He doubted Prince could be photographed if he didn’t want to be. “I’m sure I’ll see your work plastered around the front pages Monday. Pretty sure you missed out on the Saturday edition. But the news stations might talk about it.” Virgil’s cheeks hurt from smiling. “You sure you don’t want your name attached to it?” Virgil considered that for a moment. It would be kind of cool, he supposed. But he was trying not to draw any attention to his civilian self so long as he did the vigilante gig. Asides from that, he didn’t want anyone to be able to claim any of his future successes were due to his connection to a superhero, or have expectations based on this one work. “Yeah… I just… I know I should want the credit. But, just in case he becomes like this big time hero,” which seemed very likely to Virgil. His powers were pretty amazing and he had the personality to make it big. “I don’t want my possible career to be defined before it starts, you know what I mean?” He hoped he did, because he was starting to get confused by his own phrasing. “Maybe I’ll come forth with the original sketch when I’m like, 30, to prove it was me if it still matters by then,” he concluded. “Sounds like a smart plan. I’m going to let you go. I do need my beauty sleep after all.” Oh, he made it too easy. “You said it, not me,” he chuckled. “Night Princey.” “Buenas noches. Mi querido amigo,” Roman replied dramatically. Virgil rolled his eyes. Though he smiled as he realized Roman just called him ‘dear friend’. Trying to hide the way that warmed his chest he let out a groan. “Bon nuit,” he huffed in retaliation before hanging up. Janus had taught him a bit of French over the years. And just like that his thoughts returned to his old friend. Janus had been well behaved the past week. He hadn’t gotten in a single fight. Maybe he should try and show that he noticed. Just saying ‘hi’ wouldn’t be that bad right? Show that he meant it when he said he wanted to get back to being friends, real friends, at some point. With thoughts of a happy ending for everyone, Virgil fell asleep. The next morning he woke up early. He made sure to be quiet as he got ready for the day. Once downstairs he turned on the tv. And sure enough, the local station was talking about Dream Prince. A professional picture of him leaping across the street from one rooftop to another serving as background. The anchors were talking about his heroic deeds of last night, ranging from walking a girl home to taking down those criminals ‘single handedly’. “No one can deny it. This young hero finds no feat too great or too small, and he does it with style. Looks like he’s settled on a look.” They thought his costume had style! Virgil was vibrating with excitement. He couldn’t sit still. He had to do something with all this energy. He started on breakfast. Bacon, eggs… It had been a while since he’d felt up to making a big breakfast and been the first to wake up. Patton was as much of an early riser as he and Logan. Which meant he hadn’t had Virgil’s secret omelet recipe yet. He was bouncing on his feet as the two anchors were analyzing the costume in as much detail as they could. They found the heels a bold choice and the mask an elegant way to incorporate a crown. When Virgil heard his dads move about upstairs he turned the news off and set the table. Patton really liked the eggs. That or he really wanted Virgil to think so. Three servings made him think that it wasn’t pretend though. After breakfast, uncle Thomas picked him up for their trip to the zoo. Virgil had been looking forward to it. It felt forever ago since he last spent some one on one time with his honorary uncle. “That’s a nice one. You really got the eyes down well,” he complemented as Virgil finished a sketch of a koala. “Thanks,” Virgil said, pretty happy with the result as well. “You are really talented. Guess it runs in the family. I remember your dad scribbling away in his poetry notebook all the time.” Virgil looked at his uncle with wide eyes. “You knew my father?” he asked perplexed. Thomas frowned down at him for a moment before his eyes widened in understanding. “Oh, no. I never personally met your birthfather. I meant Logan,” he clarified. Virgil was a little disappointed. For a second he’d hoped to learn a little more about his birthparents. But if Thomas had been talking about Logan… “My dad wrote poetry?” Thomas chuckled. “Yeah. He was pretty good. Though he’d disagree. He felt more comfortable using his sharp tongue on the debate team. He won us some prizes,” he recalled. Virgil took this in. He had wondered what his dad was like at his age before. Now was a good time to ask more. “So poetry and debate team… Guess that is why you two became friends, huh?” he asked. Thomas shook his head a little awkwardly. “Not exactly. With my social anxiety I probably wouldn’t have approached him if my mom hadn’t told me about his mom losing custody…” “What!?” Virgil gasped. He never knew that. Thomas cringed realizing he had maybe said to much. He looked down at Virgil. “Your grandparents weren’t parents of the year. Not abusive, but… neglectful I suppose. Logan never talked about it, so I don’t know the details. Just what little ” “He was in the system?” Virgil asked with a shiver. He’d heard about the system. He was glad he never had to experience it. “No, like for you there was someone ready to take him in right away,” Thomas told him. Virgil wanted to ask who had adopted his dad. But he had an idea… And he kind of didn’t want to hear he was wrong. He wanted it to be his parents. It would explain why Logan had such a hard time talking about them, but had so much love and respect for them when he did. “What was it like rooming with him? Was he secretly a slob in college?” he asked hopefully. Thomas relaxed and started talking about a few college stories, though he quickly veered into high school and early parenthood stories. At the end of the day Virgil had a good handful of animal sketches, an idea for his art project for the semester and Thomas dropped him off at Picani’s office. “Hello Virgil. How are you today? I heard you had a good scare earlier this week.” Virgil let out a deep sigh, sat down and started his story. Leaving Picani’s office a little bit later than planned, he felt a lot better. Or, well ‘better’ never had been the right word. He’d realized that sometime during the camp. After talking about Picani about what bothered him, he was still bothered by it. But he understood things more clearly. He felt less confused and had an idea of what to do about it. Picani never told him everything would be okay. He helped him understand what was wrong and how to either steer it in a better direction, or learn to live with it. He now felt less uncertain about wanting to give Janus a sign that there was still hope for them, even after what happened last week. He felt less guilty over indulging the people asking him out even though Roman was still very much on his mind. He even felt better about getting more information than he should’ve from uncle Thomas. It had been a relief talking about his theory that his dad had been in his parent’s custody for at least four years and that that was, maybe, the reason why he took him in when they passed. And the fact that he had at least one set of grandparents that might be still alive. He wasn’t going to ask about them though. If they held bad memories for his dad, he didn’t think he wanted to know them. It was very low on his list of priorities. The fact that his dad never mentioned them told him enough. The whole scare with the ceiling lamp was discussed and Picani left it alone when Virgil said that he didn’t want to waste too much time on it. “I’m home!” he announced as he came through the door. He heard Patton call a greeting from the kitchen and saw his dad come from the living room to meet him in the doorway. “Dad!” he called out eagerly as he gave his father a hug. “Virgil? Not that I do not appreciate you seem excited to see me. But is there a particular reason?” There were a few honestly. Knowing a bit more about how he ended up being raised by the smartest, most patient man he’d ever met had him excited. On top of that knowing what his dad was like at his age made him feel closer to him. He decided to focus on the latter. He’d turn sixteen soon. If Logan hadn’t initiated the conversation by then, he would. He could be patient for another month. “Uncle Thomas told me about your teen years. I didn’t know you were on the debate team!” he told him. He could imagine his dad thriving in that environment though. Maybe they should check out the debate team this year in between Roman’s play and Virgil’s art exhibit. Logan gave Virgil a small smile, a bit of pride in his eyes. It was rare for Virgil to see his dad proud of himself. He liked it. “Well, yes. It was a bit of a hobby of mine, as well as an attempt to get better at socializing,” Logan said modestly. Virgil picked up on the operative word in that sentence. ‘Attempt’. “You were a socially awkward nerd,” he concluded with a chuckle. He was so used to being nothing like his dad. Finding flaws and similarities to himself in the man he’d idolized as long as he could remember, it was strangely exhilarating. Logan, however seemed to misunderstand what had Virgil so thrilled. “Hey, that’s a complement! I’m a socially awkward artsy kid. Sounds like I’m your son after all!” he clarified. That reminded him though. “Speaking off. Uncle Thomas told me you wrote poetry back in the day.” “Really!?” Patton exclaimed from the kitchen. Logan was blushing. Scrambling for a way out of the conversation it seemed. “I… Experimenting with different forms of self-expression is a natural part of discovering one’s identity as a teenager. It was a phase. I would like to forget about it.” Virgil was about to argue against it, but Patton beat him to it. “Aw, but poetry is so romantic,” he pouted. And Virgil could see the way that affected his dad. Well, their date nights were about to get ten times more sappy. Hopefully going for the heart, and his ego, would work out just as well for Virgil. “That’s too bad. I thought I could make a project around your old work for art class,” he sighed disappointedly. And just like that his dad’s firm posture melted away. “I’ll see if I can find some of my old notebooks. Just ask my consent before you pick one.” Virgil couldn’t resist hugging him again. “Thanks dad. You won’t regret it. I promise.” He felt his father put his arms around him gently. A wordless “you’re welcome”. Virgil was feeling very chatty during dinner and so told his parents all about his day. They had to go to the university again tonight. Since Virgil was planning on meeting up with Prince and not sure if he’d be out all night or just long enough to talk to the guy, he bid them both a good night now. Just in case he’d be too tired to wait for them to get home once he got back. As soon as they were out the door Virgil dug in his closet for his face mask, something he wore when he was feeling sick and didn’t want to infect others. And his shades. He was going to take a chance on Prince today. He made sure he had his evidence at the ready. He’d updated it earlier that week and last night he hadn’t learned anything new. He decided to go with the same look as yesterday so Prince would recognize him more easily. He made his way to the street and vanished in the alleys. After a few minutes he found the rooftop they’d used as their rendezvous point last night. Hopefully Prince wouldn’t make him wait too long. He lowered the intensity of his cloak to be more easily spotted should someone be looking for him. Suddenly he heard a sound behind him. “Good evening my shadowy friend,” the grand voice of Dream Prince drifted through the air. Virgil turned around, his coat flaring out with the movement. “Hey there highness,” he greeted as he tossed him the evidence bag. Clear of any fingerprints or DNA as far as he could manage it, as usual. Prince studied it for a moment. “Is this…?” he sounded surprised. “A show of good will. I thought about it…” not enough. Maybe he was biased because he reminded him of Roman. Or because he’d seen him during his training wheel days. Maybe he didn’t want to be alone anymore. “You seem alright. I’ll… I’ll have your back. If you have mine.” They could help each other. Grow stronger together. Weren’t heroes always at their strongest once they learned to work together? “You do know that if I hand this in, they’ll know I made contact?” This guy. Virgil chuckled, finding this strangely endearing. “You mean you haven’t told them yet?” Prince’s posture straightened almost defiantly. “You didn’t say you were alright with that!” Was he actually insulted by the idea of reporting back to his people without Virgil’s permission? Guess he’d read him right. Good to know. “Okay. Well, consider this my permission. If I don’t want to be found, I’ll disappear Prince.” He’d find a way to avoid Prince if it was necessary. “Tell the chief all communication with me goes through you. If you don’t mind.” Because Virgil didn’t trust the chief enough to go anywhere near her. Prince nodded as he reached for his ear. “I am currently debriefing Phantom. I’ll let you know when I’m done here. Tell chief I’ll stop by with a package. Radio silence until further notice.” Virgil couldn’t stop himself from letting out a chuckle. This guy. He really needed to be more careful. “You ever thought I might be a bad guy? You shouldn’t cut off your back up like that in front of me.” Had they taught him nothing at the GTH? “You’ve had plenty chances to take me out,” Prince pointed out, much to Virgil’s surprise. “You could have let those goons get me the first time you saw me. You could have attacked me while I was busy with those guys yesterday. And who knows how many times over the summer. And on top of that. Who says my communicator is my only way of contacting back up?” Okay, so maybe Prince knew what he was doing after all. “Fair enough. So what now?” He had no idea what would come after this. He just knew that Prince reached out, and he’d accepted. The ball was back in Prince’s court. “Now… I warn you about the collector.” That sounded very serious. He almost wanted to get out before he could get involved, but a gut feeling told him that this was important. He eyed the edge of the roof. Well might as well get comfortable. “I feel like this is a sitting down kind of conversation.” Once they both sat down, Virgil put on his sunglasses and dropped his cloak completely. It was symbolic or whatever. Letting his guard down in a visible way. He turned to the prince expectantly, a little annoyed at how the dark glasses limited his vision. Prince took in a deep breath and started his story. “The collector is an old enemy of Manifestor. He recruits Gifted, and those he thinks deserve to be gifted for some kind of revolution. You and I are probably his kind of people. Young, full of potential. All that stuff creeps like that love to go on about.” Virgil’s eyes widened. That did sound bad. He was suddenly very glad he had not confided in anyone about his powers so far. Who knew if the Chief was on the Collector’s payroll? Or maybe Picani was being spied on. “So we should be careful, you and I. I want to help you out,” Prince told him as he offered him two small objects. A stone and lip balm? “These can help you hide your identity without having to use your… Do you have a name for it?” Prince wondered. Virgil wasn’t sure if he could disguise his voice. But if he did, he was not going to risk Prince being someone from school who might recognize his voice. “Cloak,” he replied before dropping his guard again. “Cloak… Cool,” Prince nodded as he showed the black stone. “So this, is a voice modulator. I adjusted it to fit your tempest voice as best as I could.” Virgil couldn’t help laughing. Tempest voice? That sounded so cool honestly. But man was it dramatic. “You clearly have not heard it,” Prince pointed out and he had a point. He sounded normal to himself. “What’s with the lipstick?” he asked. “This will paint your hair black faster than any hair dye. It’s also a very good hair gel and it washes out right away,” Virgil bit his lip as Prince offered him the items. He was not used to being helped. Not as ‘Phantom’ at least. He still struggled with it as Virgil. Letting Roman help him with his English assignment yesterday had been hard. But he had to let people help him. He had to take a leap of faith here. So he took the items and got up to try them out. “No peeking!” he warned, though he would keep his cloak up. It was more to test if Prince would be tempted to go against his wishes. He didn’t. Virgil placed the modulator on his throat where Prince had his red stone and applied the balm to his hair. He spread it out and took a moment to decide on the style he wanted to go with. He tried for windblown, though he wasn’t sure if he did it right without a mirror. “Okay, let’s try this,” he said testing out his new voice. Wow, if that was what he really sounded like then Tempest voice might just have been the most accurate description. He looked back at Prince who was getting up and waling over to him. “Okay. So… what’s the plan?” he asked, curious what Prince was expecting out of this collaboration. “Well… We could try and meet up here regularly. We might not always patrol at the same time, and you might be busy. But I could… If you are okay with it… I could help you coordinate with the cops. Like you kinda suggested earlier. Or we could like, do some patrolling together? Keep each other company…” Oh, that was cute. Prince could be insecure. Virgil was starting to think he was unshakable. “It might be nice talking someone who gets it you know? You’re my age right?” he wondered. Nice try. Very subtle. “I mean… I guess, but I’m not sure how old you are exactly,” he shrugged casually. He wasn’t going to give anything away that easily. “Fair point.” Or maybe there hadn’t been an ulterior motive. He was getting paranoid. “Anyway… What do you want?” Virgil thought about that for a moment. He hadn’t expected to be asked for his opinion. “I mean… Debriefings sound cool,” he said casually. “I’d like to patrol with you, but my parkour is no match to that walking on air trick you got…” He was kind of jealous of that one if he was honest. “I was thinking of hanging around the clubbing district at the end of the night and making sure some party goers get home safe. I’ll see you around there when you’re done?” This talk was fun and all, but Prince should probably check in with his team soon. And Virgil needed to think about things for a minute. “That sounds like a good idea,” Prince agreed as he gave him a bow. “Until then. Know that the GTA’s resources are now at your disposal through me. So if you want to get a proper suit or other fun toys, you need only ask.” And with that Virgil’s new ally sprinted of into the night. A real suit huh? Virgil shook his head. He’d have to think on that some more. For now, he had work to do.

Being a pro-hero comes with a lot of pros and cons. For some, the pros may outweigh the cons and vice versa. Some even has a healthy balance of both. While you, you were one of the people who have pros outweigh the cons.
You weren't really the pro-hero to compete for the spotlight but you still had a good number of people who knows of you and what you could do. Though, you aren't as flashy as the others, you had a unique charm to you that draws people's attention towards you.
It was that charm that drew the infamous hobo man of U.A. to you, all in his yellow, shining (not really) sleeping bag glory. Though at first, he was irritated at the fact that you were just a natural at everything and everybody just seemed to love you. But as time went by, he realized that this charm of yours has truly captivated him. You weren't like the other pro-heroes he had met. No. You were unique. One of a kind. Genuinely different from the others.
After months of (silent) pining, he decided to just fuck it and ask you out on a date, in which surprisingly you happily agreed to. As time progressed, and two dates became 3, 4, 5, and counting, he got to know more sides of you. More characteristics to add to your charm. And by the time you reached your 2nd year anniversary, you guys decided to move in together—which was by far the greateat decision you and Aizawa has ever made.
Your charms are a part of your pros. It's what makes you, you. But unfortunately, you had yet to learn that it was one of your cons too.
It was the usual night patrol. Check any suspicious activity, check if anyone's doing crimes, check up on the stray cat on the alley, repeat. Honestly, some times patrols can be quite a bore. But you didn't mind. It was part of the job after all.
Cautiously walking down the street, you suddenly heard a scream from one of the alleys nearby. You quickly sprinted into action, not sparing another second as you rushed into the scene of the crime.
"Please! Don't hurt my child!" The woman screamed as the villain inched closer to them. Silently creeping up on the thug, you noticed that the villain had a weapon—a gun to be exact which was gonna be a pain if they ever shot the woman and/or his child. "Please! It's all I have! I promise!" A robbery? In the night? Typical villain move.
"Step away from them." You commanded the villain as you activated your quirk. A force field acting as a shield appeared out of nowhere, protecting the woman and her child from harm. You could tell that the woman was relieved, however, the child was still crying.
The villain chuckled as he turned around to face you, your hero name rolling off his tongue in a sinister way. "Well, well, well. If it isn't the saviors of society! The heroes! Protecting the world from evil doers such as myself." You could feel a speech coming. You honestly could feel it. "At least that's what you think. You heroes think you're good shit after taking down some bad guys but do you ever wonder about those who also suffer because of you?" He pointed the gun towards you making you squint at him. "I lost my family! Because of you guys! Because of that stupid Endeavor! You don't really care about the people! You just care about the fame! The money! The recognition you'll get after locking us all up in jail!"
"I assure you, heroes are not like that. Sure we have our own ambitions, but we all protect the people. That's our number one priority." Your response made him snarl. "And as much as I would love to stay and chat..." You activates your quirk once again, this time making whips out of light. "...It's time to pay for your crimes." You attacked him with the whip to which he skillfully dodged. He appeared from place to place with a blink of an eye, making it hard for you to apprehend him.
'Shit. A teleportation quirk? That's gonna be a pain in the ass.'
Dodging his punches that came out of nowhere, you kicked him in the gut. After reading watching his moves while dodging, you figured out that he has this pattern. He would first attack you in the back—which caught you by surprise the first time—then he would go for your front then your sides. It was the repeating pattern he used on you, so after getting used to it, you finally had the upper hand.
He was thrown a bit from the force of your kick but quickly recovered from it. He attacked you with another punch on your left which you countered by grabbing on his arm and twisting it until you heard a crack.
'Well now he certainly can't punch with that one.'
"You bitch!" He pulled out his gun and repeatedly fired shots at you. Every shot was a miss and then finally you encaged him in a box of light.
"Sweet dreams." And with that, you knocked him out with your quirk.
After putting on quirk nullyfing cuffs and a rope made out of light around his body, you checked up on the victims. The woman was repeatedly thanking you while the child was still shaken up.
"Hey now kiddo. It's alright. You're safe now." You approached him with a gentle smile on your face. You were about to place comforting hand on his shoulder when he suddenly shot up.
"No! Get away from me and my mom!" A sudden force emitted from his body as he pushed you to the ground.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry about that!" You stood up and brushed yourself off as the woman repeatedly apologized for her son's behavior.
"No ma'am. It's alright. I'm fine, no harm done. See?" You flashed her a smile. "Kiddo, it's alright now. I'm a pro-hero. Police are on the way. Can you stay for a bit and tell them what happened?" The boy reluctantly nodded which made you smile even wider. "That's great then! You were brave out there kiddo."
"I'm sorry for using my quirk on you..." The boy muttered. You ruffled his hair and told him that it was alright. Though, you would surely see a paramedic later.
After the police arrived and collected your statements, you headed home with a headache. Apparently, the woman and her child doesn't know what his quirk actually is. The robbery might have triggered his quirk and you were the first one to be hit with it.
Great.
Just great.
You just hoped Aizawa was home too. You clearly need some of his A+ cuddles to ease the pain.
You arrived at your shared apartment shortly, but before you could even reach your shared bedroom, you blacked out.
...
Aizawa Shouta wasn't having the greatest day of his life. An eventful and rowdy day at U.A, then an eventful and extra rowdy patrol at night all while running with 3 hours of sleep? Yep. Not the greatest day of his life.
The grumpy man groaned as he remembered the stack of papers waiting for him back home. He could already feel the pain he was about to endure for the greater good of the future heroes he was teaching. He frowned as he imagined Kaminari's sloppy handwriting—and a possible doodle of him—in his homework, he could also imagine the cluster of words that didn't make sense brought to him by Mina Ashido.
But he could also imagine you greeting him with a kiss as usual. He could imagine your arms wrapped around him in a loving embrace, washing out the stress he previously had. He could imagine you rolling your eyes at him as he complained about you not getting enough sleep. He could imagine you helping him grade those forsaken essays he made his students do.
Well, maybe this day wasn't so bad for him. After all, he had you to go home to.
After opening the door, he expected you to greet him with open arms and ask him how his day went. He expected you to make fun of his struggles as a teacher and remind him that it was his choice to teach to begin with. But instead he was met with silence and no you.
To: Y/n
From: Shouta
Are you patrolling late tonight?
He waited for a few minutes but he didn't recieve a reply. He sent another message, and another, and another, until he finally decided to wash up and wait up for you just incase anything happens.
Just as he was about to enter your shared bedroom, he noticed your hero costume on the floor, a lump of something breathing underneath it. He lifted your hero costume, revealing a (h/c) cat—who stirred at his actions—sleeping peacefully. His hand instinctively reached down to pet it, feeling the smooth fur on his fingertips. The petting caused the animal to wake up, it's tired eyes looking at him with such warmness it was almost so familiar yet he couldn't remember where it's from.
"Shouta?" Aizawa froze on the spot as he heard your voice leaving the cat's mouth. He blinked owlishly, trying to process what the hell happened. Did the cat just speak? And did the cat sounded just like you?
"Why the hell are you so big? Did something happen?" You—the cute cat infront of him—asked as you unconsciously started to rub your cat chin into his shoulder.
"Y/n, I should be the one asking you that." You perked up at his response, head tilting as you waited for an answer.
"What do you mean?" Oh god you were giving him the cute eyes.
"Y/n, you're a cat."
"I'm a cat." You repeated. "Wait—what?" You blinked as you realized what had happened. Oh. So this was that child's quirk. "Shit."
"Shit indeed." Aizawa picked you up gently and placed you on the bed. "Mind telling me what happened?"
"Ok so..."
...
Aizawa secretly carried a laser on him the next day. You were dismissed of your hero duties for a week (because that's how long the quirk's gonna last) and was stuck in the apartment all day so he figured you could use a little fun right?
Right...
You greeted him as usual, but instead of human you, cat you is rubbing your body around his ankles and making a '8' shape as you circled his feet. It was quite cute to be honest. He had a soft spot for cats and you after all. He tried his best not to melt then and there.
"I've got something for you." Your ears went forward and your tail erected with it's fur flat at the statement. Clearly, you were happy. Aizawa brought out the laser thingy he had and started pointing it towards the wall, to which you suddenly leaped for. You followed the dot everywhere it landed and Aizawa couldn't help but smile at the sight infront of him.
...
"Shouta." You poked his cheek. "Shouta." You poked it once again. Why were you poking him exactly? Well, you were hungry and it was in the middle of the night. You couldn't reach the pantry nor the fridge handle so you reluctantly asked Aizawa for help. Somehow, he wouldn't budge. After poking him a couple more times, he opened an eye that showed that he was clearly annoyed by your behavior.
"What?" Came his gruff reply.
"I'm hungry." Aizawa sighed as he stood up and blinked the sleep out of his eyes.
"Fine." Sluggishly walking towards the kitchen, he looked at you silently trailing behind him. "You want tuna?"
"Haha, very funny Shou."
"Is that a yes or a no?"
"Yes please."
...
You purred as Aizawa rubbed the spot behind your ears. It was becoming a habit for Aizawa to pet and rub you like this and honestly, he was enjoying it—not that he'd ever tell anyone about it.
You insisted to not cancel your annual dinner date at your shared apartment which consisted of eating takeouts and watching whatever was on Netflix. You and Aizawa happily ate your food—you ate tuna... again—and now, the both of you were watching some Studio Ghibli film, well atleast you were supposed to.
You quickly got distracted once Aizawa started petting you, leading to you not focusing on the film at all. Aizawa's eyes was still on the film playing but you were sure he was also distracted. You found it a bit weird that the both of you quickly adjusted to this cat life and that neither of you freaked out at all. Maybe it was the pro-hero sides of you, who knows. But it was nice to see Aizawa helping you in any way that he can.
His petting abruptly stopped as he stiffled out a yawn. You looked at him and saw that he looked completely exhausted. More so than usual.
So, you hopped out of his lap and switched off the TV as you nudged Aizawa's leg with your paws.
"Come on Shou. Let's go to sleep."
Aizawa did not decline your offer and gladly followed you out of the room.
...
By the end of the week while having breakfast a loud 'poof' and smoke suddenly covered the whole room. After the smoke cleared, it revealed you in all of your naked human body glory.
"Welcome back, Y/n."
"Oh shut up, Shou."

Avengers Birthday Party
@struggling-bee I know it’s not a grand birthday present but I love you a lot and I hope today is a neat day because youre my darling :)
“Stark, I’m not an idiot. Get our asses back to the tower. It’s cute that you’re sacrificing yourself but I’d rather not be stuck with you on my birthday,” You grumbled, picking at your hoodie strings. You hadn’t hardly slept a wink the night before and you were too tired for a surprise party. You got snarky when you got sleepy, so sue you.
“Gee, thanks for that kid,” Tony scoffed, rolling his eyes. He was....a friend? Maybe an annoying acquaintance. You were fond of him. Sort of. As much as someone could be fond of Tony Stark you supposed. Even Pepper wanted to gut him most days and she loved him.
You shoved his arm playfully and he winced. Fine, you got punchy when you were sleepy too. Tony took the brunt of it. “Did they tell you to distract me so that I could use you as my punching bag instead of the first person to scream ‘surprise’ at me when we walk through the door?”
“I’m not distracting you from any party,” Tony insisted but you didn’t believe it for a second. Every damn hero in that tower was a sap and you knew without a doubt you’d return to balloons and cake and singing. You weren’t sure you could handle it.
“Fine. Youre not distracting me from anything so you can take us home now.”
“No chance kiddo-” You punched him again and gave him a warning look. You were not a kid.
“Jeez, fine,” Tony finally relented on the nickname. “But you’re stuck in this car with me for at least another half an hour. Traffic.”
You groaned at the cars flanking Tony’s ridiculously expensive foreign car. German- or something. You didn’t know and you didn’t care. The seats were comfortable though... Pulling your hoodie up over your head you snuggled into the leather.
“Fine. We’re stuck. Just don’t play that shitty music you like,” You demanded, sneaking him one more glance before closing your eyes.
“Alright kiddo, promise,” Tony promised, turning on your favorite music instead. This one time, you’d let the nickname slide.
Thirty-three minutes later Tony was shaking your shoulder after calling out your name a ridiculous amount. Your special talent was ignoring him.
As you walked to the elevator Tony tossed an arm over your shoulder and you tensed up for a moment but he was a friend, despite the shit you gave him and you didn’t mind his rare half-hugs. He pressed a kiss to your temple and stepped away, pulling out a neat little wrapped present.
“Pep did the wrapping, Morgan wrote the card. Happy birthday,” He said simply, eyes downcast. You nodded and carefully unwrapped to find a phone you hadn’t even ever seen on the market.
“Pep wrapped, the kid doodled, and you what? Made the phone?” You asked, eyes widening slightly as the tech genius nodded. “Stark this is too much-”
“You’re really saying that to me?” He laughed, gesturing at your surroundings as you ascended- the whole city laid out in front of you. “Besides you busted yours while- what did Cap say- screaming over a television show and tossing your phone?”
“Hey! Victor Zsaz could-”
“Don’t you dare continue that sentence,” Tony groaned but you let out an amused snort, tucking the phone in your pocket and bumping your shoulder against Tony’s in a sign of appreciation.
“Happy Birthday,” Came the melodic voice in the walls that had always set you on edge. Friday knew everything and you still hadn’t come to terms with it but the sentiment was nice.
The elevator dinged open and even though you were prepared to see the party laid out before you couldn’t help but freeze at the sight of your friends all standing together, arms around each other as Tony pushed at your back to get you out of the elevator. The balloons around you were orange, black and yellow. A cake too big for all of you to eat- even with super soldiers and gods in the building- was decorated as a bee. A small table had gifts- some wrapped and some kept in the bags they’d been purchased in.
“You guys-” You started but you were cut off by the whole lot of them declaring “Happy Birthday!”
Your lips stayed in a thin line but the eagerness from those around you and the thoughtfulness of the party put together caused the right corner of your mouth to twitch up and your eyes had gone glossy with unshed tears.
“Fuck you Stark you lied,” You laughed, shaking your head. Despite knowing it was coming you still didn’t know what to say and instead took it out on the avenger that would dish it back.
“Enjoy yourself,” Sam commanded, putting a party hat on your head for you as you scowled at the elastic band underneath your chin.
“You enjoy yourself,” You pouted, mimicking back childishly but it just caused the man to laugh loudly and without reservation.
Wanda and Bucky had you trapped in a hug and Natasha messed up your hair after taking off your party hat with a wink. She hated them too. Pepper had to keep Morgan from climbing you but you pat the child’s head and gave pepper a grimace smile. “I know this isn’t really your thing but we all love you. Tony couldn’t stop planning everything last night. You’ve become a part of this family and we want to show it,” Pep explained in the perfect way.
You tried giving her a half-hug and it seemed to work just fine as the woman smiled at you with ease. Living with the Avengers was messy, tiring, amazing, loving, and perfect. You wouldn’t change it for the world even as Thor and Loki got into a drinking match while Bucky and Sam loaded their forks with frosting to throw at Peter.
“Happy birthday to me,” You let out a deep sigh, contentment filling your chest.
Happy indeed.

Fic Prompts: Free Day Thursday
The phone rang at a quarter to midnight. Nana rolled over with a groan and squinted at the caller i.d. Beside her, her husband groaned and pulled the blankets up over his head.
"I thought we had it set for silent?" he croaked.
Nana's blurry vision finally cleared up and she frowned. "It's Sorahiko. Must be an emergency. Go back to sleep, babe. I'll take care of it."
She shuffled into the kitchen to answer the phone. "Hey," she yawned, "What's going on?"
Sorahiko didn't sound like he was in the middle of a fight, but he did sound a little flustered.
"Nan! Sorry about waking you, but I need somebody who can translate kindergartner talk."
Nana blinked slowly and ran the words through her mind again. This seemed remarkably like some kind of vivid dream she was having.
"Translate...wait, what?"
"Uh...it'll be easier to explain in person. Mission took an unexpected turn."
Mission? Nana raised her eyebrows. "Since when do you take midnight missions?"
Sorahiko Torino grumbled under his breath for a few seconds before admitting, "There's...only four licensed heroes in this district. I gave the police my number for emergencies."
Before Nana could comment on this unexpected show of initiative, Sorahiko kept talking.
"They tracked down a blackmail operation, looks like that Blue Moon gang, asked me to be backup on the arrest. All well and good, right? Except there's also a couple kids here, and they can only figure out where two of 'em came from."
Nana threw on her costume hastily. If there were kids involved, they'd need reassurance. Sora wasn't exactly the best at reassuring kids. Babies and toddlers he got along just fine with. But once they started talking, he was completely out of his depth.
When she arrived on the scene, she found Gran Torino and a police officer trying to talk to five children between the ages of ten and four. "Trying" was the operative word, as half of them were crying too loudly to hear a word.
"Hey, guys!" Nana called, flashing a bright smile, "What's all the fuss about?"
Gran Torino massaged the bridge of his nose wearily. "Okay," he sighed, "So: Blue-hair and Beanie-cap are actually the criminals' biological children. They don't know what's going on. Suction-cup-fingers is their boss's kid, she does know what's going on and she's mad they got caught. We can't understand a word Pinky and the Dandelion are saying."
Nana crouched in front of the five children. The boss's kid narrowed her eyes at her and made a rude gesture. The two who were the son and daughter of the blackmailers who owned the house clung to each other, wailing loudly. That just left the ones Sorahiko had nicknamed "Pinky" and "Dandelion".
The little boy covered in downy pink fur stared up at her with four red eyes. He fidgeted nervously and clung to a worn-out yellow blanket.
"What's your name?" Nana asked kindly.
"Don't talk t' strangers," the child replied.
The police officer sighed. "Unfortunately, that's all we can get out of him. One of the adults said these two were taken in off the street, but wouldn't say where or when. We'll go through missing persons reports at the station."
Thankfully, the other kindergartner had no such qualms about talking to strangers. It was just that he talked so fast that Sorahiko could only understand every third word or so.
"You FLY?" The tiny boy tiptoed to pull at Nana's cape. "Wow! I saw a lot of lot of heroes on, on tv, even though Mrs. Auntie says, she says heroes are a news ants but I don't know what that means because you're not ants and I never saw a hero that FLIES! I had a book with a hero that flies, and he's called Superman, but I lost that book 'cause the house got all on fire and-"
"Whoa whoa," Nana laughed and tousled the boy's wild yellow hair. "Slow down, kiddo. Take a breath before you tip over!"
The kindergartner took a comically deep breath, puffing out his cheeks. He held it until his face started to turn red, then let it out with a gasp. Still clinging to Nana's cape, the little boy pointed to Gran Torino.
"Do you know that guy can fly too?!" he asked. "I saw it! He jumped! An' he went SMASH! An' then he kicked Mr. Uncle right in his teeth! Kicking teeth is bad, I think. Except Mr. Uncle is mean and he plays with guns and that's bad. So he has to go to jail."
Between a garbled, high-speed retelling of the arrest and incessant questions about her quirk, Nana managed to get a name out of the hyper boy. The fuzzy boy filled in some of the other information, though it was like pulling teeth to get him to talk at all. Evidently their names were Toshinori Yagi and Haru Watanabe. Haru had evidently been taken in because of an impressive monster-type quirk, but he thought his parents might still be out there. Toshinori, on the other hand, didn't seem to have any family at all. Nor did he have a quirk -- something that had irritated "Auntie" and "Uncle" once they'd found out.
"Geez," Sorahiko muttered to Nana, "Poor kid. Hope they find somebody to take him in."
And they did, but it wasn't what either hero had been expecting.
Little Toshinori, as it turned out, was a very observant child. Not only did he remember where all the Blue Moon gang's weapons were kept in the house, he remembered the names of every member of the fledgling villain group. There were some concerns that the remaining members of the group might want to silence the kid -- especially since one of them had the same name as a local politician -- and when no living family members were located, it was decided that Toshinori would need a temporary guardian who could protect him while the trial was ongoing.
For decades afterward, Sorahiko Torino could never quite understand why the police had asked him to look after the kid. Well, in all fairness, they'd asked him and Nana. But he'd been the first hero through the door that night, and apparently the kid had imprinted on him like some kind of baby bird. Sure, he slept at the Shimura house, and went to kindergarten with Kotarou, but if he even caught a glimpse of Sorahiko he was off to follow at his heels.
Nana thought it was hilarious. Sorahiko was less amused and more completely bewildered.
At least, he often told himself at first, when the trial was over, the Yagi kid wouldn't need heroes to look after him anymore.
This turned out to be a false assumption on his part.

7 8 or 10 for the pmd asks?
7. how do you interpret the future trios relationships to each other?
oooo okay this is an interesting one. my own personal hc is that they (along w/ hero) used to work together/travel together as a little ragtag group, very found family like. dusknoir was with them up until they started really investigating the planet’s paralysis and they found that in order to change the future, they’d all have to disappear in the process — and that scared him! so that’s when the group split, and dusknoir ended up working with primal dialga to keep the world the way it was.
so in that regard, i feel like there’s still some resentment between grovyle/celebi and dusknoir. yeah, the world’s fine and they’re all together again like they used to be, but...it’s just not the same. and even if they try to move past everything that happened, that won’t fix the hurt that dusknoir inflicted on them. i think grovyle and celebi would understand being afraid, but they would have a little bit of a harder time with why dusknoir went to the lengths that he did. like he could’ve just left the group and not worked with primal dialga. but no he did. a lot. so yeah there’s some stuff bubbling under the surface for sure.
on the topic of grovyle and celebi specifically, i think they’re friends who get along just fine. i don’t ship them (i don’t necessarily ship grovyle and dusknoir either), but i do think it’s cute that celebi calls him “my dear.” i wish their relationship had been expanded on more instead of just “oh she’s got a crush on him.” like come on you gotta give me more substance!! you gotta give me more to work with!!
8. if you’re an artist, how do you draw grovyle + dusknoir, and why?
would you believe me if i told you i have zero (0) drawings of either of them?i spend most of my time making gates gijinkas...perhaps i should do something about that
anyway here’s a little doodle of grovyle i did in like. 10 minutes. this obviously isn’t his actual design, but it’s kinda how i want it to be. i think his hair is pretty similar to a lot of other designs that people have — everyone seems to go with the high ponytail, which fits him well imo. my grovyle specifically is going to have a longer jacket bc im a sucker for a good capey coat, and im not sure about the rest of his outfit, but it’ll probably involve shorts and leggings. u know. the good stuff.
Tumblr media
“why so desaturated” he’s a future kiddo!! there’s obviously no sun in the future, so i want their designs to reflect that, so the future trio (and perhaps my hero) will be a little less saturated in terms of color. their clothes are going to be a little brighter, but things like hair and skin will definitely be noticably greyish.
as for dusknoir, i really just. i don’t know. i do want him to have an eyepatch hiding like a spooky eye or something bc that would be neat but other than that, i’m not sure. i think he’ll have a different design based on if he’s in the past or future. as for those designs?? no clue. like i said, i spend a lot of my time on gates characters ^^;;
10. opinions on nuzleaf’s character? and were you surprised by the twist?
he’s a very charming character, and i love how he was just like “oh okay i’ll take this kid home with me,” and of course that makes sense considering what he’s up to but i just. i love him. he’s so stupid (i say that affectionately). yee yee. country man i love you.
the betrayal didn’t surprise me a ton, bc it’s pmd, but at the same time, i think they did a good job making it seem like it could be anyone. while i’d like to say i suspected nuzleaf from the start, i really didn’t. and yeah looking back on it it’s pretty obvious. the krookodile red herring was pretty good too, and the dramatic reveal on the mountain?? excellent. i live for the drama.
that being said, i wish they hadn’t chickened out with him!! possession excuses are weak. let him own it nintendo. let this man be an irredeemable manipulator. granted it’s a kid’s game but like come on...can he at least face the consequences of his actions a little bit??

Fighting and Home
First, Previous, Ao3
Word count: 1902
Warnings: Horrible parenting, smoking mention, fighting, yelling
Roman pressed his pillow over his ears. It muffled the screams but they were still too loud.
Dad yelled something, Remus yelled back, Ma cut in with her voice shrill.
"Give up," Roman whispered, holding back tears. "Stop arguing with them."
Remus couldn't hear him. Nobody could hear him. They wouldn't have listened anyway.
Roman's breath hitched.
How pathetic of him.
He should be used to this by now. He had even expected it the moment Remus had bought the stupid cigarettes.
How could he hope to be a hero one day when he couldn't even handle his own parents and brother fighting?
Part of him wanted to go over to Patton's house. Ma and Dad wouldn't care if either of them were at dinner after a fight this bad, so it would probably go unnoticed and Patton had told them that they could always come to him if they wanted to.
But for that, he'd have to get past Dad and Ma.
He'd have to get himself moving at all and get out of the false safety of his blanket cocoon.
He couldn't do it.
But maybe he could text him?
Roman peaked out from under his blanket. His phone was just a few inches away from him.
He removed his hand from the pillow over his ear and the yelling downstairs got louder.
Roman winced and opened his phone to find Patton's contact.
Their last text conversation had been about body armour because Patton had agreed to let them go out by his side soon, as long as they retreated as soon as he told them to.
 Roman: Hi
A loud scream made him jump and he almost dropped his phone. Footsteps stomped up the stairs loudly and Remus' door slammed shut.
 Patton: Hi, kiddo
 How are you?
Roman nervously licked his lips. Downstairs Ma was still yelling at Dad. He had probably tried to blame her for Remus smoking.
 Roman: Not really
 Patton: What's wrong?
 Roman: Another fight
 Wasn't involved but it's loud
 Patton: What happened?
He hesitated for a moment before replying.
 Roman: Remus started smoking
For a few moments he didn't get a response, the 'typing' symbol appearing and disappearing a few times before remaining gone for a few minutes.
Patton: Sorry, Remus just texted me
Do you two want to come over and have tea?
Roman most definitely wanted that.
The question was if he could.
He listened for sounds downstairs. Ma was still yelling. A door, probably the front door, slammed shut and she screeched in frustrating before stomping up the stairs and slamming the door of her bedroom behind herself.
 Roman: Ok
Slowly he managed to stand up, terrified of every small creak of the floorboards under his feet.
He snuck over to Remus' room and knocked with his palm to make it quieter.
Remus opened a moment later. He had cried.
Roman nodded his head towards the stairs and in the vague direction of the front door.
Remus hesitated then nodded.
They snuck downstairs and Roman kept glancing over his shoulder. It didn't help with the persistent feeling that Ma would appear behind them at any moment, grab them and drag them back to their rooms.
They took their shoes and jackets and slipped outside, hiding in an alleyway to put them on. They had no idea where Dad had gone so they couldn't risk him seeing them.
"Let's go over the rooftops," Remus suggested and rubbed his sleeve over his face. " 's safer."
They climbed up the facade of the nearest building, making sure that no one saw them.
The familiar exertion helped Roman's anxiety ease up and the slight breeze felt good in contrast to the suffocating air back in the house.
They jumped from rooftop to rooftop, so far away from the casual nightlife down below. Roman wondered what the people walking down there might think if they looked up and saw them.
Once they reached the train station they climbed down a ladder and took the next train to downtown. There were a few people going home from work, none even noticing the teenagers.
Remus pulled out a sharpie and doodled on a wall. Roman didn't look but it was probably either a dick or an octopus. Or both. Probably both.
Roman pulled out his phone and opened a game he didn't care about just to have something to do with his hands.
He wasn't even sure what it was about but it was easy and had bright colours.
They got out at the downtown station and walked past the small park where Roman was pretty sure drugs were sold like candy and reached the flower shop.
The door to the back alley was surrounded by cats who greeted them loudly.
Roman pet a few of them in passing and Remus knocked at the door a few times.
Patton opened the door and ushered them inside to make sure that the cats didn't come in.
"Are you two alright? I made Lavender tea," Patton rambled and hugged both of them tightly. "Are you hungry? I could make something for you if you want to. I think I have some ice cream too."
Roman melted into the embrace.
"Can we eat dinner here?" Remus asked after a moment.
"Of course, do you want noodles or something else?" Patton pulled back and lead them up to his apartment and into the cosy living room.
"Noodles sound good," Roman said and followed Patton to the kitchen. The smell of lavender hung in the air and soft steam rose from the kettle.
Roman got out a cup and poured himself some.
"Careful, it's still hot," Patton warned.
Roman hummed in acknowledgement and smelt the tea, feeling it's warmth on his face, and closed his eyes.
Simply being here in Patton's tiny apartment made him feel safer.
"Move, I want some tea too," Remus pushed against his arm and Roman moved out of the way.
"Do you boys like pesto or tomato sauce better?" Patton asked and set a pot of water onto the stove. "I have both."
"Both mixed," Remus blurted out.
"Pesto," Roman said. Dad had dragged them to an Italian restaurant yesterday because one of his colleagues had celebrated his birthday and for some reason, they had to be there. Roman had had enough of tomato sauce for at least a month.
"I'm not sure they go well together, Remus," Patton chuckled. "Let's go with pesto for now."
"Fine," Remus grumbled and took a sip of his tea.
Roman carefully took one too. It wasn't too hot anymore and the soft taste made him smile.
"Is it good?" Patton asked. "With lavender, I'm always worried that I used too hot water. It ruins the tea."
"It's fucking great," Remus grinned.
"Language!" Patton scolded and blew into his tea to cool it down faster.
The water in the pot started to bubble and Patton moved the lid slightly to avoid it boiling over, as he explained to them. He had taken to teaching them household chores since both were determined to leave their parents' house as soon as possible and Sera was usually too busy to show them how to get shit done.
Once the food was done they sat in the living room and Patton filled the silence by telling them about his day and details of his confrontation with Sleep the night before that the press hadn't gotten.
Roman was pretty sure that this was what family dinners in other families were like.
Weird, that the guy they had only gotten to know because they had pressured him into becoming their mentor was now more of a Dad than their biological dad had ever been.
Back at home Remus would've already been yelled at for slurping his noodles, while Patton only asked him to do it a bit more quietly. Roman would have gotten a glare and exasperated sigh for bouncing his leg, but Patton didn't react to it in any way.
He'd make a great Dad, Roman thought and felt tinges of jealousy towards any future kids Patton might have.
"So, kiddos," Patton said as he put the dishes into the dishwasher and smiled at them, "who wants some ice cream?"
"What kind do you have?" Roman asked, while Remus already went to grab some bowls.
"Just the classics, Vanilla and Chocolate. You can mix them if you want to," Patton closed the dishwasher and gestured towards the freezer. "Should either be in the first or the second drawer."
Roman checked and pulled the cartons out.
The chocolate had been opened already but only a small scoop was gone while the vanilla was even newer.
"Tomorrow your boyfriend comes to the shop again, right?" Remus  asked looking through the mismatched spoon collection for the ones he wanted to pick.
"He's not my boyfriend!" Patton said, turning bright red. "Not that I wouldn't like him to be," he added quietly.
"Then why don't you just ask?" Roman asked. "Take him on a beautiful date, have fun and then when he brings you home you give him a small kiss before you go inside, leaving him standing there for a few minutes, unable to process what just happened because he loves you so much and you just kissed him! And then when he comes again you confess your undying love to each other, make out and have a spring wedding!"
"Bit mushy but yeah!" Remus agreed.
Patton had turned an even darker shade of red.
"I can't just ask him," he said and got a scoop out of one of the many drawers.
"Why not?" Remus asked.
Patton sighed.
"Neither of you have been in love before, have you?"
The twins both shook their heads.
"Well, it makes things... complicated," Patton began filling the bowls with ice cream. "The thing is, I don't know if he likes me back. And if he doesn't and I ask him for a date he might feel uncomfortable, because I'm just a friend to him. Nothing more. And that might ruin our friendship, which would be... I couldn't stand to lose him like that. I'm happy just being around him, so I don't want to take any risks that might destroy what we have."
"But you could be even closer and together more often!" Remus argued.
"That would be very nice," Patton agreed and put the ice cartons away again. "But he also has a son. About your age, I think. So, what if his son doesn't want another parent or doesn't like me? I wouldn't want Logan to have to choose between his son and me. His son would definitely win but still."
Roman stared at him in bewilderment.
"How could anyone not want you to be their dad?" he blurted out, his mind only catching up with his mouth a moment later.
He pressed his hand against his mouth as if it would somehow take back the words.
"You-," Patton hesitated. "Would you want me to be your dad?"
"I uhm... Yes," Roman admitted.
"Duh," Remus shrugged. "Who wouldn't?"
For a moment it was silent then Patton began to smile.
"I'd love to be your dad, kiddos. Now let's eat the ice before it melts."
They sat on the couch this time.
Suddenly Remus shot up.
"Wait a minute! Why do you not know if Logan likes you? You're a fucking empath!"

Chiktoss + Stain kiddo maybe?
Sooo my brain has been cluttered about with a tone of ideas I wanna draw, and two of those top ideas being a Chikara x Cemenetoss kiddo and a Stain x Lady Nagant kiddo
Everytime I think of Chikara and Cementoss being wholesome theres a tiny voice in the back of my head that whispers ‘Make them a child-’ and I am so SOOO tempted to doodle out a design. I picture them having a lil shy boy who hides behind mama’s and papa’s legs, his quirk is undecided but I was thinking of giving him a quirk more like his dad’s. Chikara in the future probably moves down into the city with Ken while Suru takes over the family business and then they eventually settle down to have a kid
Also the idea of Higari being the over-protective big brother, especially with his sisters, is hilarious to me XD He of course trusts Cemetnoss cuz he’s a responsible guy that’ll keep Chikara out of trouble - but Chi IS still his baby sister
As for Stain x Lady Nagnat idk if this ship has been talked about but I think it has potential. Stain hates the hero systme, and I’m going to take a guess that Lady Nagant left the hero lifestyle to become a villain/hitman for hire because she too saw the flaws in the system. I mean Hawks said she was his sensei so she obvs knows about the Public Safety Commission and all - I honestly think the two would make an interesting duo - and the idea of Stain trying to do all his murder doings while also trying to take care/mentor his child at the same time amuses me @/thotsforvillainrights did some headcannons on parent Stain and I like their headcannon that Stain is sorta like Peter Parker from Spiderverse with Miles when it comes to parenting

I doodle too much, a saga
Going through the camera roll on my tablet has yielded just... so many random fanarts I never posted. I don’t want to post everything separately so have one long list of things! Enjoy:
Tumblr media
A baby Todoroki, happy as heck, imitating All Might
Tumblr media
The quality is sub-par, but I gave it a solid effort. It’s cheesy because they’re in each other’s shadows
Tumblr media
I realized I’d never drawn Tenko in a school uniform, but it was also 3am, and I’m lazy, so this was all that happened. Will we see him in the regular school uniform too? Probably. I draw him too often
Tumblr media
Eri-chan! As a teenager! In a hero costume! I vote her hero name would be Reversi. Yes her costume is heavily inspired by Mirio’s
Tumblr media
Oh look, baby Shigaraki. This is why I wrote a fic where All Might adopts him, and he’s actually happy, because canon Tomura is not a very happy kiddo
Tumblr media
I’m just gonna... leave this here... This is technically for the fic I’ll probably never write where Endeavor gets charged for child and spousal abuse and Touya/Dabi is Shouto’s strong male role model, but it’s also just cute. They’re smiling, neither of these kids smile enough
Tumblr media
Ah look there it is, another Tenko. Also, Izuku! I drew this an eternity ago and it’s going to be another eternity before we actually see AFO Izuku in the fic so I’ll just toss this out there now
Wow, that was a lot! The art style is really inconsistent because some of these are almost a year old and the effort I put into each differed wildly, but there you go.
