Post season 8 Castle Headcanons
Castle picking up the kids from school bringing them to the precinct to visit mommy, Captain Kate Beckett-Castle. Sometimes they get to hang out with Aunt Lanie, & Uncles Ryan and Esposito too. Castle often brings dinner for his wife. She sometimes forgets to eat, seeing as she’s not on the streets nearly as much. Not as many opportunities to go out and pick up some food on the case. Though, the boys do offer sometimes.
Castle buys Lanie very nice Spa certificates, jewelry, etc and new equipment for the morgue. And a cappuccino machine.
Kate always bringing Lanie coffee, treats, etc. when she’s called to a crime scene.
Castle surprising Kate with a puppy for their 5th anniversary. At first, she’s convinced it was to entertain their kids but he reminds her of their time taking care of Royal, the dog show judge’s own golden retriever companion. Kate had mentioned that she’d been wanting to get a dog then. In fact, they both did. Now was the perfect time. (s4, e13)
Big “Sissy” Alexis and Gram babysitting/ absolutely spoiling the kiddos during “Caskett” date nights or late nights at the office/precinct.
Kate meets up with victims’ relatives on occasion to comfort them when they need it. Usually from Joanne Delgado, whose mother was stuffed in her safe during a home invasion/robbery. (s1, e7)
Detective Karpowski coming back to the 12th on a case of her own to get a consult. When her case is solved they all take her out for a celebratory beer. They reminisce about her time at the 12th, and of course, the Bet ™. (s2, e2)
Jeremy preswick and Emma Carnes run into castle and Beckett one day at the park while walking their dog, Lucy. They chat for a bit. Both Emma and Jeremy are excited because it seems that Jeremy was starting to gain some of his memories back from before the shooting at the art gallery. They’re still living together. Rebuilding what they once had as much as possible with Jeremy’s memory lapse. But that’s ok with Emma. They both seem very happy to have each other. (s2, e11)
Castle decides to do his PI work from home. Alexis helps man the office with Hayley. Rick plays more of a consultant role at this point, seeing as he has three youngsters to watch. The cases he helps with are rather sparse and small but it keeps him occupied and happy. He never fails to get super excited/giddy when he gets a case that somehow intercepts with an investigation from the 12th. Of course, the Castles now have a deadbolt on the apartment door. Given the wild shit they’ve dealt with before, both of them being in the same dangerous line of work, their children’s safety was a bit more of a concern.
Jenny, Kate, Hayley, Lanie, Alexis, and Martha having a girls’ day every so often. Brunch and spa days, mani/pedis, etc. Kate even convinces the hubby to let them use the vacation house in the Hamptons sometimes for a weekend.
The poker games continue! Both the bestsellers crew, and Rick’s “Gotham City” crew, plus Kate. The Castles’ are no longer shy about kicking each other’s asses. Kate wins a good 55% of the time. Out of all of them. Montgomery’s chair is honored with the same rule as with the best sellers crew. Nobody sits there. Sometimes, former captain Gates joins them. She enjoys watching Kate whooping Castle’s ass. Very much.
Annual New Year’s party at the Castles’ place. Jenny & Ryan, little Sarah Grace and Nicholas Javier, Lanie, Esposito, Hayley, Vicram, Alexis, Martha, Jim (Beckett) and of course the Castles’; Rick, Kate and little Lily, Jake and Reece. Sometimes Gates makes a special appearance. The grownups play some of poker once the kids are asleep.
The boys going to games together. Sometimes clubs. Castle lists Javi on his insurance for the Ferrari. Javi likes to try to pick up chicks if he can with the fancy car.
Castle finding out Kate and Jim’s favorite baseball team(s) and getting them all the tickets he can get his hands on. The best seats. Close enough for a chance to catch a flyaway ball… just for Kate. They usually bring the kids. And sometimes Castle.
The whole 12th gang getting tickets/invites to the next broadway play featuring The Martha Rodgers.
Mia “The Nose” Lazlo (s8, e5) sends Kate special order perfumes that she’s helped test. Mia and Castle exchange emails every now and then. Castle always makes sure to send her tickets to his mother’s shows.
Kate and Jim have a tradition to visit the late Johanna Beckett’s grave on her birthday. Sometimes Castle comes along. Sometimes they bring the kids, if they’re up for it. They always bring flowers. Kate, Jim, and the kids like to give her little updates on the things happening in their lives.
The 12th detectives , Lanie and Castle visit Captain Montgomery’s grave, when they can. They keep in touch with his family. Make sure they’re doing ok.
The team going to each other’s kids dance recitals, science fairs, etc. They have play dates with each other.
Summer cook outs/ memorial weekend/ July 4th at the Hamptons with he whole crew! (Or whoever’s available.)
On particularly difficult cases, castle hosts Blue Nights at The Haunt. Cops get drinks free. Though, the 12th crew always get some sort of friends & family discount. There is also a small shrine to Roy behind the bar. Every time any of them visit, they have a drink in his honor.
Dinner dates at Q3. Being good friends with the owner and the new chef really makes the whole experience that much better. Beckett and Madison get to catch up every now and then. And castle gets to try Chef Wong’s oven roasted pork belly glaze that she’d made on Kitchen Wars. (e2, e22)

You Scare Me, Professor: Chapter 41
Tumblr media
Summary: The reader is taking graduate classes at a local university in the wooded upstate New York. She is drawn to her professor, Dr. Joel Miller, though she is also inherently aware that he has something dark about him that she can't quite put her finger on. As the reader's attraction grows deeper, she has to decide whether to endure the danger or run away as fast as possible.
Pairing: Professor Joel Miller x f!reader
James parked his car right at the spot where he’d last been able to see the figure walking on the security footage from the night of the last murder. He'd sat there for a moment trying to put himself into the person’s shoes.
Would he have parked his car close? Was his residence within walking distance? Did he go out for a late night pizza at the lone store that stayed open after hours for the drunken, munchie-driven calls from college kids? Maybe a drink at the bar?
A drink. Someone would certainly need a drink to calm their nerves after murdering someone. Wouldn't they?
James got out of his vehicle and began to walk the sidewalk. He put his hands into the pockets of his jacket and mirrored the posture of the stranger.
O’Malley’s was first. It would make sense. And so James entered the establishment, starting there.
A short, aging man with alcohol miles plaguing the saggy skin under his bright blue eyes turned and ran a hand over his stark-white beard. He noted James’s attire and made a face, asking blandly. “What can I do for ya officer?”
“Good afternoon,” James started with a nod. He glanced over at the row of regulars, all carbon copies of the bartender, who were staring at him as if to say, ‘what the hell do you want’?
“Do you have security cameras that view the street?” He asked after a brief pause.
The row of old men turned to the bartender in unison, awaiting his answer. He huffed a little laugh and began wiping down the top of the bar.
“That all depends on what you're lookin’ for.”
“Looking to catch the Lady Killer,” James said honesty, prompting everyone to stop and look back in his direction.
“That bastard killing all them college girls?” The frailest of the men asked, extending a wrinkled finger.
James nodded. “That's right. On the night of the last murder I have reason to believe he left campus and rounded onto Bank Street. Lost sight of him on our cameras after that.”
The bartender put his hands flat on the bar and stared at him directly. “Well if ya already got him on camera, what do you need ours for?”
The heads all turned again, a willing audience to the conversation at hand.
“I couldn't make out who he was,” James explained. “Just a dark silhouette.” He whipped out his phone and extended his arm across the way to show the man the picture he'd taken of the figure beneath the light. “That's all I got. I figured if he rounded that corner,” James motioned to the small screen, “That O’Malley’s is next. Maybe he even stopped in for a drink.”
The bartender looked back up with more interest.
“You remember anyone in here the night of February 18th that doesn't normally come here? Some time late into the night, probably near closing time.” James glanced around at everyone present. He assumed they were probably there most nights.
“Always some odds and ends,” the bartender explained. “Lots of regulars, lots of college kids, lots of in betweeners.”
James nodded. “If anyone comes to mind,” he slid a card across the table with his name and number on it, “Let me know.”
“You know,” the same frail old man spoke, “There was a fella who dropped in that night. Sat alone. Shaky hands.” He gently hit the man next to him, “Wilbur you remember? We thought he was balancing out some caffeine kick with a little bit of grandpa’s cough medicine.”
“What did he look like?” James asked.
“Had a ball cap on,” Wilbur explained.
“Yankees,” the first man added. “And a hood. It zipped up. Had some words across the front.”
“What did the words say?”
“I can't even remember what I had for lunch,” he gave a laugh.
“Old? Young?”
“Younger than us but older than you.”
“What did he order?”
“Damned if I know,” he said raising his arms, “I said I noticed him, I wasn't trying to take him home.”
The row of men laughed in unison.
“Thanks.” James nodded again and then looked back across the bar. “So.. about those security tapes..”
I walked back down the hallway after the incredible spa day. There were only a few hours until the rehearsal dinner and I felt perfectly content. My body was relaxed, my toes were freshly painted and laughing with a bunch of women all day was like chicken soup for the soul.
When I entered the hotel room, finding it vacant, I took a few moments to myself. I wandered onto the balcony and glanced out at the slopes. Being on a ski resort, in what typically felt like the gloom and doom of winter, made the month of February feel all the more brighter. The dead, cold world felt alive here.
I huffed a smokey breath and went back inside and turned on the water to the shower. Almost immediately u got lost in the steam and my thoughts. Like the weekend before, I didn't want to return home. I wanted to stay in that lively place until spring thawed everything out.
It's not so bad back at the castle, I reminded myself. Being with Dr. Miller was such a treat in itself. That made me smile to myself.
Joel Miller. My professor. The man I fell for without even realizing it until the feeling swallowed me whole. I couldn't imagine my life without him now that he was the focal point of it. It felt like it had been years since I had been in my old bedroom in the little house with Tori - but in reality it hadn't been that long.
I closed my eyes and pictured him. His smile. His voice. The feel of his lips against mine. The warmth of his body. The squeeze of his fingers when our hands were entwined.
Right when I really started wishing him back to our room, I heard the bathroom door creak and then the shower door opened. I jumped only for a second before I recognized it was Dr. Miller. My wish had come true. It was my only wish, really. To be with him.
He pulled me by the hand to him and our lips locked without saying a word as the shower door closed. With my eyes closed I could hear Dr. Miller breathing steadily through his nose above the sound of the water.
“I missed you all day,” he whispered before diving in to kiss me again.
My arms wrapped around his broad shoulders. “I missed you too.” I had. I knew the early phase of a relationship had the ability to feel intense and clingy, but it was magnified for us. And I could use the phrase us with confidence. Dr. Miller was as possessive as I was.
Dr. Miller’s lips parted from mine and then he pecked them again as he reached for the soap. “Turn around,” he said quietly.
I swallowed hard and did as he asked, closing my eyes as he began to draw sudsy circles across my shoulder blades. I let out a deep exhale.
Dr. Miller snaked the bar of soap around, penetrating my breasts before trailing down my midsection. I reached a hand up behind me, gently pulling at the back of his head as he dipped his lips down to neck.
I allowed him to lather up my entire body and watch the soap stream off me into white, bubbly pools by the drain. And then I held a hand out, prompting Dr. Miller to hand over the bar of soap. He gave a barely-there smirk before I eagerly began to return the favor, gently soaping up the top of his chest.
I could tell when he didn't have it in him to hold back anymore after touching him for so long. Dr. Miller topped my hand with his and removed the soap, placing it back on one of the ledges and then pulled me back into a smoldering kiss.
I took the lead and reached a hand down to touch him. Dr. Miller moaned into my mouth and kissed me harder.
He let his hand drop to my hip and pulled up at the back of my thigh. I instinctively let me knee raise high up toward his hip as he lined up at my entrance.
“Mmm..” Dr. Miller still held the back of my leg up and kneaded my breast with the other hand as we continued to kiss. I felt my back hit the cool tiles and I let out a gasping breath.
“I love you,” I said quietly against his lips. Part of me kind of hated saying it at such a cliche time but I couldn't help myself.
Dr. Miller ran his hand up my chest, past my neck to the side of my face. “I love you, too,” he let out a deep breath, “And for the rest of this weekend you're all mine.”

Tell Him (George O'Malley x Reader)
Summary: You’re dating George O’Malley. You tell him about a certain liking of yours, and although he’s initially confused, he tries to understand. (This is incredibly self-indulgent and the reader is essentially just me. If anyone actually reads this, it’ll be a miracle, lmfao. Mentions of sex and tickling as a kink, but overall this fic is more fluff than smut.)
“I can’t.”
George sighed, but he had an amused expression on his face. “Whatever you’re gonna tell me, I won’t freak out. You know that, right?”
You blushed, avoiding his eyes. “It’s embarrassing. It’s not bad, but it's embarrassing.”
He took your chin, making you meet his eye. “Well, I’m not gonna pressure you. Whenever you’re ready to tell me, I’ll listen.”
You couldn’t help but smile. “Alright. Go save some lives, Dr. O’Malley.”
He kissed you quickly before heading out, and you sighed, resting your head in your hands. It was silly, really, and you were getting him worked up over nothing. If only your embarrassment, your shame didn’t run so deep, if only you had the guts to spit out a simple confession.
And it was over something so stupid.
Cuddling in bed with George last night had been nice. He was warm, and groggy after a day of interning at the hospital, but present enough to rub your back sweetly, muttering sweet words. And then his fingers had strayed near your side, soft and it had startled you and made you twitch.
“You alright?” he asked.
You had nodded. “All good.”
And then, he’d done it again. By accident, still. And you had twitched again, a puff of air resembling a soft laugh leaving your nose.
“Oh, I’m sorry, am I tickling you?” he’d asked.
You chuckled nervously. “A little.”
“Sorry,” he said again.
“It’s fine.”
And that had been it. What you hadn’t said was that it was completely fine if he tickled you, and that it would be fine to continue, because you enjoyed it.
You just couldn’t spit that out. And George deserved to know, because he would clearly do anything in his power to make you happy, and yet, you were afraid that something as simple as a little tickling would be the thing to scare him off.
His shift was long. Long enough for you to think it over. To plan out everything you would want to say, to prepare for a worst-case scenario. It wouldn’t be so bad. George was sweet. He was an angel, honestly, and the chances of him reacting poorly were slim to none. But that fear still lingered. The fear of rejection, ridicule, or just plain old misunderstanding.
But George would understand. He had to.
So after a long, long shift, George was back in your bed. Warm, sleepy, and hopefully ready to listen to your words.
“You ready to tell me what you wanted to say this morning?” he asked.
“Yes. No. Maybe?” you replied. “It’s…I really need to stress to you that it’s not a big deal. It really isn’t, but I’m embarrassed and this is really hard for me to talk about.”
He pulled you close. “I’m here to listen. What’s going on?”
“So, last night…You were rubbing my back, and you…Well, you…”
“Is this about me tickling you?” he interrupted. “Because it was an accident, and I won’t do it—”
“No, no, that’s…I wanna tell you that it’s okay. That I…I liked it. I mean, I would like it if you did it…Intentionally, next time.”
George blinked at you, mouth opening and closing. “I’m sorry…You liked it?”
There it was. The twinge of judgement in his voice. It made you deflate, cheeks turning red.
He sensed the shift in your attitude and immediately shook his head. “No, no, it’s not a bad thing. I’m just…Surprised, that’s all! Because, well, my brothers used to tickle me all the time and I always hated it. I mean, they were rough, and it hurt, and they used to make me cry…So, I mean, the idea of someone liking it is just sort of weird to me. Not weird in a bad way, God, that came out wrong…Weird as in uncommon—”
“No, it’s okay, I get it,” you said. “I’m sorry your brothers did that to you. But, it’s just…I’ve always liked it, and I can’t help it, it’s just wired into my brain for some reason, and it’s embarrassing and I’ve had partners react badly to it in the past, so if you’re weirded out, it’s fine, I just…I wanted to tell you because it makes me happy, and you make me happy.”
George smiled. “Okay. If you like it, that’s fine. I can…I can do it, more, if that makes you happy. Is it…Is it like, a sex thing or a cuddly thing?”
You gave another nervous laugh. “Both? It’s not inherently sexual, but it can be hot. We can talk about the sex part later, though. This is all too embarrassing for me.”
George laughed, too. “Don’t be embarrassed, it’s fine,” he said, kissing your temple. “We can talk about it another time.”
You assumed that was the end of the conversation, but his hands found your sides and squeezed, making you squeal.
“So, you like this?” he asked. “Or do you like it better…here?” His hands moved upwards towards your ribs, his fingers prodding into the spaces between your bones with his surgical precision. It only made you giggle harder, feet kicking.
“You’re giggling too hard to answer me, baby,” he cooed.
“Shut up,” you whined. “You’re being mean!”
“How am I being mean? I’m doing what you asked! I think that’s pretty nice of me, actually.”
You had nothing to say in response, just laughing. You were so happy. So loved.
That night, you fell asleep wrapped in George’s arms, the phantom sensation of his tickly fingers still on your abdomen.
***
“Tickling you is really fun,” George said. “I mean, it’s cute. You smile and you laugh and it’s adorable, and I know it makes you happy.”
You flushed, biting your lip. “But…?”
“No, no but. Well, maybe? I think…If you did it to me, I don’t know if I would hate it or not, but…I know you’ve mentioned that you like it either way…If you wanted to try, I mean, I’d be open to it.”
He was blushing, too. How fucking cute could he be?
“Really?” you asked. “I mean, if you’re open to it, I would love to try. Only if you’re sure, though. I know your brothers were pretty harsh, so I don’t wanna push.”
“No, I’m…I want you to try it. You always look like you’re having so much fun. And, it might take my mind off of the three surgeries I scrubbed in on today.”
You grinned. “It is a pretty good distraction.”
He laid back against the mattress, looking up at you with those doe eyes. You grinned, sitting up beside his body and using one hand to stroke his hair. “Where should I start, hm?”
George squirmed. “Well, when I was younger, my stomach was really bad. And, and my sides. But I’m pretty much ticklish everywhere, as you’ve discovered during other activities, which, if I had known you liked it, I wouldn’t have apologized so many times when I laughed—”
You interrupted his rambling by using one hand to lightly tickle his stomach, feeling his muscles jump beneath your fingertips, listening to the loud, squeaky laugh that burst from his lips.
“Still bad?” you asked.
“Still ticklish, but it doesn’t suck,” he giggled in response. He was clearly fighting to keep still, his hands balled into fists at his sides.
You grinned. “You’re so cute.”
“I’m not cute,” he cried. “I’m a strong, masculine—Ah!”
His laughter took on a new octave as you introduced your other hand to his belly.
“Too much?”
He shook his head. Then, after another minute, he shook it again. “Wait, no, actually, too much!”
You stopped immediately. “Are you okay?”
George wrapped his arms around his middle, protecting his middle although your onslaught had already stopped. “I’m fine, I’m fine, it’s just…still a lot.”
“No worries. I know, it can be really overwhelming sometimes.”
He smiled. “A little. But I didn’t hate it,” he said. “We can try it again, another time.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah, of course. For now, cuddle me.”
And, well, how could you say no to that?

PROPAGANDA
AGENT TEXAS (RED VS BLUE)
1.) okay so tex is an ai based on the memories this one dickhead dude has of his dead wife, allison. there's also an ai based on the dickhead dude himself, his name's church. all the stuff with the ai's and the different versions of her is kind of confusing to explain but she sort of dies twice- first sacrificing herself for something that has very little narrative weight, and being absorbed into a kind of . monstrous mesh of other ai's (including the original church ai) that then is erased, with basically no mention of tex, it's all about church's death.
then, there's another version of both church and tex born from the original church ai's memories (epsilon-tex and epsilon-church). epsilon-church's arc is basically about learning to move on from his past and let go of tex, because he's kind of obsessed with her and it's preventing him from progressing. so, epsilon-church 'forgets' tex, deleting her for good. tl;dr she dies, again, basically entirely for church's development.
when i was a kid super into rvb i was always really disinterested in tex and looking back it's because er story just.. isn't resolved satisfyingly at all. basically all of her story is hitched so tightly to church's story and development that tex barely gets room to be more than a memory of the director's dead wife- she never gets to move past the circumstances that created her and become her own person entirely divorced from the director or from church- allison died and we never knew anything about her besides that the director god sad about it. beta-tex died unceremoniously and without mention. epsilon-tex died for church's character growth.
quoting church's own words from the show: ""She died in her real life, and that's all the Director ever remembered of her. So now, no matter how tough she is, no matter how hard she fights, she's always going to fail, because that's what she's based on. No matter what she's doing, or what she's trying to accomplish, just when her goal is within her reach, it gets yanked away. Every. Single. Time." and she just never… actually overcomes this. she just dies.
and quoting now-inactive tumblr user epsilontucker from 2015 who put it better than i could: "Tex’s whole life was spent fighting for agency. Freedom from what Omega wanted her to be (O’Malley), what the Director wanted her to be (Allison), what Church wanted her to be (his). Epsilon-Tex wanted to know who she was and why she was and she wanted to dismantle everything Church ever built. Especially because he built it for her.
And this character arc about freedom and agency, about a chance to define herself on her own terms, is resolved by… Church deciding to delete her.
Because everybody always seems to know what’s best for Tex."
this is also to say nothing of the treatment of her character on just, like, an episode-to-episode basis. rvb has a big problem with basically treating "bitch" as a personality trait for female characters, and tex gets some of the worst of it. if you made a drinking game of how often tex gets called a bitch, or a huge bitch, you'd die of alcohol poisoning. also at one point andy the bomb makes a bunch of transmisogynistic jokes at her because she's suppsoedly mannish (she's not masculine or feminine really everybody in this show is a multicolor master chief. she's just good at fighting) and then calls her a dyke. the end
2.) Some background (spoilers): Tex is introduced as a badass mercenary from Project Freelancer, and the ex girlfriend of Church, the main character of the show. It is eventually revealed she and Church are both Aritifical Intelligence programs; Church is an AI copy of the Director of Project Freelancer, and Tex is a copy of the Director's late wife.
Firstly she is straightforwardly the victim of misogynistic "jokes" for the first several seasons. She is called misogynistic slurs, shamed for sleeping with other men besides Church, she cannot work the entertainment stand at the base bc she's female, called lesbophobic and transmysogonistic slurs bc she is a competent soldier, and blackmails another female character out of jealousy bc she is the only other girl in the group.
Even when these jokes go away, and the show transitions from comedy to drama, her writing revolves around the male characters around her. Because she is the personification of the memory of the Director's dead wife, and his perceieved failure to save her, she explicitly, in the text, will always fail at what she sets out to accomplish no matter how strong she is. She wishes to be free of the cycle of being resurrected bc Church can't live without her only to fail and die again, but lacks the agency to end it without Church. Church's arc about learning to let her go ends not with her being free to exist as her own person without him, but with him forgetting her. Since she IS his memory, this ERASES HER FROM EXISTENCE. She literally cannot exist without this guy.
This would all be easier to swallow if she wasn't the ONLY prominent female main character for 8 whole seasons. It's a beautiful story about how grief can fester into anger and a need for control, and how that pushes away the people you love, but it's a story entirely centered around Church's development, in which she is a prop that stops existing when the story is over. I love her but she deserved so much better than she got.
3.) girlboss
KAMALA KHAN (MARVEL COMICS) (CW: Racism)
1.) One of the most prominent brown women in all of comics, beloved by the fan base. Recently killed in a PETER PARKER SPIDERMAN COMIC (despite being much closer with Miles Morales and having basically no relationship with Peter) in what's probably the name of MCU synergy, which nobody wanted (she'll probably be resurrected as a mutant, erasing her unique and interesting history as an Inhuman). She was using her shapeshifting powers again despite having stopped in her solo as she got more confident in her own skin and identity as a Pakistani American girl, died disguised as the very white Mary Jane as a fake out/last minute replacement for killing off MJ. I fucking hate it here. A cheap trick to drive sales. L + Misogyny + racism + are you fucking kidding me

In like that one scene Where like tucker, sarge (I think, it might’ve been simmons), and Dr Gray rediscover Doc who they all have completely forgotten about I like to believe O’Malley wasn’t like fully in charge of Doc absolutely fucking LUNGING for Tucker. Like imagine you were a pacifist with extremely good morals, but the people who you’ve tried to help in every way you can, the people who have forgotten you several times before but you still try to continue helping, and when you board a ship without ANY questions or payment to go to them, they completely forget you in some dark cave for what I’d assume is a Very fucking long time, I would Be throwing hands like the Hipocratic oath or whatever made me promise upon violence not peace

The Affordable Care Act covers sterilization at no-cost if you're in the US.
Article text under cut.
Sitting in the living room of her Cleveland home, 30-year-old Grace O’Malley reflects on when she ruled out having kids of her own.
O’Malley has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a genetic condition that weakens the body’s connective tissue, and can get much worse postpartum. About three years earlier, when she was in her mid-twenties, her condition worsened. O’Malley’s doctors told her that if she did get pregnant, her uterus could rupture and her child would be more likely to be born prematurely.
O’Malley was on hormonal birth control up until last May. But after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, she knew an abortion ban was likely coming in Ohio and she might not be able to end a pregnancy if her birth control failed. She booked an appointment with her gynecologist.
“I went in that day and I knew right away I wanted a more permanent solution,” said O’Malley. “I was like, ‘I actually want to talk about getting surgery.’ And the nurse was surprised, and she was like, ‘Oh, okay.’”
Dr. Clodagh Mullen, an obstetrician-gynecologist at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, said since the Dobbs v. Jackson decision — which took away the constitutional right to abortion and returned the issue to state governments — many of her patients have been increasingly worried about access to reproductive healthcare and seeking more permanent solutions.
“Some patients will say, ‘Oh, could you stash some IUDs for me?’” Mullen said. “They get very nervous that [birth control] is just going to go away overall. Nobody can re-implant your tube once it's been taken out, so I think that they have that comfort of there's no way anybody can take this part away from me.”
Legislators in some Midwest states have floated bans on birth control, which, so far, haven’t gone anywhere. Mullen doesn’t anticipate that access to contraception will disappear.
“But I get why people have that fear, as I also probably didn't really think that Roe was going to get overturned, if you had asked me this four or five years ago,” she said.
What Mullen is seeing in Cleveland is mirrored across the country. The Kaiser Family Foundation surveyed more than 500 gynecologists across the U.S. in the spring and about half of doctors in states with abortion restrictions reported the number of patients seeking sterilization has increased since Dobbs.
That includes states like Indiana and Missouri - where abortion is banned with very limited exceptions, and states like Ohio, Iowa and Wisconsin where bans are currently being disputed, or where residents feel they may lose the right to an abortion. Ohio voters just approved an amendment to the state constitution, which guarantees access to abortion.
Three Ohio health systems that track contraception — MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, University Hospitals in Cleveland, and Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus — reported a sharp rise in the number of patients seeking tubal sterilization.
Contraception decisions
There aren’t many big health risks to the type of sterilization procedure Mullen performs. Doctors mostly worry about regret. Most studies found that when doctors followed up, a small percentage of women wished they hadn’t gone through with the procedure.
The majority are like O’Malley, who had some complications post surgery, but said she never second guessed her decision.
“I've never really thought about it, honestly,” said O’Malley. “It’s become kind of a fact of my daily life. It’s like, ‘Hi, I'm Grace. I have red hair and I can't have kids.’”
O’Malley is happy her doctor respected her choice. She believes the political climate helped.
She shared the story of her best friend who sought sterilization in her late 20s, about five years ago. She said her friend had to meet with several doctors before one agreed to do the procedure, and even then, made her wait another year in case she changed her mind.
“My friend did not have that kind of grace,” O’Malley said. “Her doctor probably thought, ‘You would have other options. If you got pregnant and decided that it's really not what [you] wanted, then you could get an abortion.’ Whereas for me, that might not be the option.”
Men decide, too
Men’s contraception patterns are also changing, according to physician reports.
Dr. Sarah Sweigert, a urologist at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, said doctors at her office performed double the number vasectomy consults and procedures as they had before the ruling.
She points to a Cleveland Clinic study, which showed that, in the summer following the court decision, the average age of men getting the procedure has dropped from late 30s to mid-30s compared to the same period the year before. The study also showed there was a significant increase in the number of men under 30 and men without children seeking vasectomy consultations post Dobbs. Sweigert has seen that trend first-hand in her practice.
“I think as more women speak out about perhaps not wanting to be on various forms of birth control for decades, I think that men are more aware of vasectomies and perhaps are doing their part,” she said.
Vasectomies are generally safer than female sterilization and have a much quicker recovery.
But Mullen isn’t surprised that so many women want the procedure themselves – they are the ones who would have to carry the pregnancy and handle the ensuing health impacts.
O’Malley feels that acutely. She had been in vulnerable situations in the past. She was sexually assaulted in college and went through a period where she was homeless. O’Malley said her choice was an act of self-protection.
“It’s not like I sit around thinking that the worst case scenario is going to happen,” she said. “But I would want to know that I was going to be safe and I wasn't going to end up in a situation where I was pregnant and I would have no path to go.”

On the up
A study of young people who on average spent almost five years identifying as transgender has found they experienced better wellbeing and less gender dysphoria after they detransitioned from medical treatment or desisted in their opposite-sex identity.
“Detransition and desistance [giving up a trans identity before any medical treatment] were associated with marked improvements in psychological functioning,” says a new article published by the journal Archives of Sexual Behavior and authored by public health researcher Dr Lisa Littman, psychotherapist Stella O’Malley, detransitioner Helena Kerschner and sexologist Professor J Michael Bailey.
“On several relevant measures—gender dysphoria, flourishing, and self-harm—participants indicated great improvement after they stopped identifying as transgender,” the paper says.
Tumblr media
[ Chart: Flourishing, or general wellbeing, rated by detransitioners, with the vertical access showing the number of participants for a given flourishing score, 10 being the highest wellbeing ]
Settling back into birth sex
Among the study group of 71 American females and seven males, aged 18-33, the overwhelming majority said they felt most “authentic” after they detransitioned or desisted.
External pressures—such as anti-trans discrimination, family resistance or religion—were rated as the least important drivers of detransition and desistance.
“The factors most important to relinquishing a transgender identification were internal factors, such as participants’ own thought processes, changes in participants’ personal definitions of male and female, and becoming more comfortable identifying as their natal sex,” the paper says.
Another reported impetus was the feeling that the causes of their gender dysphoria were more complex than they had believed. Looking back, the young people said a key influence in becoming trans was mistaking mental health problems or trauma as gender dysphoria.
“Against official advice I met [in 2021] a young lady called Keira Bell. She was a lesbian who told me the horrific experience that she had at the Tavistock [gender] clinic. It was an eye-opening experience [for me]. I know that [another MP] talked about ‘transing away the gay’ in his speech… We are seeing, I would say, almost an epidemic of young gay children being told that they are trans and being put on the medical pathway for irreversible decisions and they are regretting it… I am making sure that [in future] young people do not find themselves sterilised because they are being exploited by people who do not understand what these issues are…”—speech in the UK parliament, Equalities Minister Kemi Badenoch, 7 December 2023
Suddenly syndrome
Analysis of survey responses suggested that at most, 17 per cent of the group would have met the diagnostic requirements for the classic form of gender dysphoria with onset in early childhood.
Just over half the group (41/78) said they recognised themselves in the new, much more common form known as rapid-onset gender dysphoria (ROGD) with its onset during or after puberty.
Although a hypothesis rather than a formal diagnosis, ROGD seems to describe the post-2010 international explosion in socially influenced clusters of teenagers, chiefly girls, suddenly embracing trans or non-binary identities.
The study by Littman et al found that young people in the group who reported less gender dysphoria in childhood were more likely to say that the term ROGD did apply to their experience.
“The purpose of this research is to learn about the experiences of desisters and detransitioners—specifically, to explore: 1) factors that may or may not be related to the development of and desistance from transgender identification; 2) whether or not individuals experienced changes in their sexual orientation during and after transgender identification; and 3) what kinds of counseling and informed consent were received by those who sought medical care to transition.”—flyer used to recruit participants for the Littman et al study
Inconvenient for gender experts
The authors say their findings are “necessarily tentative” and acknowledge several limitations in the research, which involved a convenience sample of young people being asked to recall their experience before, during and after gender transition.
The study cannot show how common detransition is, nor establish whether these particular young people happened to be bad risks for transition, nor elucidate whether better psychological health is a cause or an outcome of detransition.
Detransition and desistance are understudied and contentious topics. ROGD has awkward implications for the “gender-affirming” treatment approach with its dogma of young people as “experts in their gender identity”.
Activists highlight the paucity of research on ROGD—first described in 2018 by Dr Littman—while seeking to sabotage any more studies and pressuring journals to retract papers exploring this phenomenon.
The Littman et al study just published had to adopt videoconference screening to check that would-be participants were genuine; activists had boasted on social media about taking the online survey and giving fake responses.
“When little is known [about detransition and desistance], imperfect research is often better than no research,” Dr Littman and her colleagues say in their paper. “It can provide provisional answers, better-informed hypotheses, and ideas for future research.”
“Despite the absence of any questions about this topic in the survey, nearly a quarter (23 per cent) of the participants expressed the ‘internalized homophobia and difficulty accepting oneself as lesbian, gay, or bisexual’ narrative by spontaneously describing that these experiences were instrumental to their gender dysphoria, their desire to transition, and their detransition.”—A survey of 100 detransitioners, Dr Lisa Littman, September 2021. (Dr Littman believes there would be little if any overlap in participants between this 2021 group and those surveyed in the current 2023 study.)
youtube
[ Video: Corinna Cohn, who transitioned three decades ago when safeguards were stronger, testifies in support of a bill restricting paediatric transition in the American state of Ohio ]
Yes, they were trans
In the 2023 Littman et al study, all the males and most of the females had taken cross-sex hormones, almost a third of the females had undergone mastectomy and a small number had their uterus or ovaries removed. (Only two participants had taken puberty blockers, which Dr Littman attributes to the average age of trans identification being too old at 17 years.)
“Our participants invested a great deal of their lives in their gender transitions—in terms of time, disruption, and serious social and medical steps. Thus, we do not believe that a principled case can be made that participants detransitioned because they were never gender dysphoric,” the Littman et al paper says.
The researchers say that follow-up studies of gender dysphoric youth are “urgently needed”, and that gender clinics have “a particular obligation” to keep track of past patients—“Unfortunately, in North America at least, we see little evidence that this presently occurs.”
“Detransition has become much more visible in recent years. However, it was only recently that the rates of detransition began to be quantified. According to recent UK and US data, 10–30 per cent of recently transitioned individuals detransition a few years after they initiated transition.”—Current concerns about gender-affirming therapy in adolescents, Professor Stephen B Levine and E Abbruzzese, April 2023
Some other key points of the 2023 Littman et al paper—
Only 27 per cent of the young people had told their former gender clinicians they had detransitioned. Most of those who took cross-sex hormones obtained them through the fast-track “informed consent” model. Two-thirds of the group felt they had not been adequately informed about the risks of medical transition. Fewer than one in ten had been told about the lack of long-term outcome studies for females with adolescent-onset dysphoria. Important influences for females becoming trans men included wanting to avoid mistreatment and sexualisation as women. Almost half the females indicated they were exclusively attracted to women. ROGD may be chiefly a female condition, with the possibility that some males taken to be ROGD may actually be manifesting hitherto-suppressed autogynephilia (sexual arousal among males who cross-dress and/or imagine themselves as women). More than a third of the group said most of their offline and online friends became trans-identified and it was common to mock people who were not trans. Among counter-intuitive results, acknowledgment of the ROGD label by participants was not significantly related to the age at which they took on a trans identity. Psychiatric diagnoses before transition were common, including depression (63 per cent); anxiety (60 per cent); attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (24 per cent); eating disorder (23 per cent); obsessive compulsive disorder (18 per cent) post-traumatic stress disorder (15 per cent); bipolar disorder (12 per cent); hair pulling (10 per cent); and autism spectrum disorder (9 per cent). Young people in the study showed relatively high scores on a trauma measure of “adverse childhood experiences” such as abuse inflicted within the family. The participants had generally liberal politics and a clear majority supported gay marriage (67/78) and trans rights 71/78).

Coming to terms with the nature of your body, rather than chasing a fantasy and delusion, leads to better mental health. Imagine that.

carry your world, i’ll carry your world
for @krikeymate
—————————————————————————-
“Hey, Helena? Another round,” Sam called, tapping on her glass.
Her favorite bartender put down the glass she was drying and rolled her eyes. “Already, Sam? I just refilled you five minutes ago. I’m starting to think you have a problem,” she teased, pouring another glass.
Sam shrugged. “You know me. The addict with a problem. That’s a groundbreaking theory, Dr. H,” she teased, her eyes sparkling with mirth.
Helena rolled her eyes. “I’ll be a doctor one day, jackass.”
Before Sam could retort, she stopped, puzzled at the person carrying a massive case of beer. This new girl clearly wasn’t strong enough, tottering on her feet, switching her grip on the box every few seconds.
Taking a sip of her tequila, Sam tosses a napkin at Helena. The girl turns around, chucking the paper back at Sam.
Giggling, Sam holds her hands up, surrendering. “Sorry. Anyways, who’s that?”
Helena follows Sam’s (rudely) pointed finger, smiling at the girl struggling to put down the case of beer. Ah. Newbies.
The girl reaches over and pulls the newbie in, ignoring how the case of beer rattled as she knocked into it. “Oh, who’s this? Sam, this is the kid. This kid’s new. Say hi, Shelby,” she crows, squeezing the kid’s cheeks.
Sam smiled wide. It’s been a while since someone’s moved to this town. Ever since all the massacres, Woodsboro has seen a slow wave of tourists. It’s good to know that someone stayed.
She held out her hand, grinning. “Hey, I’m Sam, local guide and historian.”
Shelby sheepishly waved, her cheeks turning red at all the attention. “Hi, Sam.”
Grinning at Shelby’s awkwardness, Helena leaned on the bar, her chin resting in her palms. She looked over at the talkative Carpenter sister and sighed. Sam hadn’t been sleeping well since Tara left. It was evident due to how chatty she was. But it was good to know the girl was still alive.
“What’s the story tonight, Sam?” Helena interrupted, trying to get the older girl's attention.
Without skipping a beat, Sam answered. “Tara loves trivia. Trivia nights, especially. I’m thinking of bringing her to one once she returns from school. Spring Break is soon, anyways,” she mused, closing her eyes.
She allowed herself to sink into the memory, grinning as she saw Tara’s smile again.
——-
“Guatemala!”
Sam threw her head back, laughing. Tara was on a hot streak, firing off answers left and right. The craziest part? She was right about every single one. Her seven-year-old sister was such a genius. Such a good reader.
It was kids trivia night at O’Malley’s bar and grill, and though Sam was freshly thirteen years old, they still let the Carpenter sisters have a table of their own. The townspeople all knew about the neglected girls. It was tough to help in such a delicate situation, so they helped by making the girl’s lives easier. Complimentary tables and turning a blind eye to the food they stole were the people’s way of helping.
Sam knew they were looking the other way, but for Tara, it was magical that they could do these things. They were the royalty of Woodsboro. And Sam was okay with letting her believe that.
Trivia night, for one. Tara was an avid reader, always with a nose in a book. Lately, it’s been all the encyclopedias, all the knowledge in books with millions of pages. Sam had no idea how quickly she got through them and remembered everything well. Part of her thinks she should call the Guinness World Record people. Perhaps they could make money off of her brain.
Tara elbowed Sam. “Sam, how do you spell photosynthesis?” she whispered, her words whistling through missing teeth.
Sam took the dry-erase marker from her sister and wrote the word on the board. The minute she finished, Tara gleefully snatched the board and held it up.
“Photosynthesis!” she shouted
Another point for the sisters. Sam was just the glorified scribe, only answering questions on movies and television. She was never the avid reader Tara was, but she watched plenty of novellas and movies to keep them in first place.
As the host asked another question, Sam turned and watched Tara lean in, smiling as her little sister’s brow furrowed in concentration. She loved that face. She loved her little sister. She was all Sam ever needed.
She eventually had to watch the host after Tara caught her big sister staring at her again.
“Focus, Sammy. We can’t lose to the Meeks-Martins,” she hissed, pointing to the table of twins, who were grinning devilishly at the sisters.
Tara was right. She needed to focus. That chocolate basket could not go to Chad- he was dairy intolerant.
And Sam got to rub it in his face, smiling smugly as she and Tara tore into the Hershey kisses.
——
Helena watches Sam leave through the door, her previously happy resolve breaking. Fuck. It was getting worse.
There wasn’t much she could do, so she returned to cleaning the bar, wiping down the sticky countertops. Shelby was collecting glasses on a tray, a frown on her face.
God. Helena just wanted to go home. It was 3 a.m., and they weren’t done yet. But to get going faster, she had to ask the question to everyone who wondered about Sam Carpenter.
She collected her thoughts, breathing out. “What’s up, kid?”
Shelby looked at her, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “I recognized her. Isn't she the one involved in the massacre?”
Sighing, Helena sat down her damp rag. Here she goes. “Yeah, that’s her.”
Puzzled, the girl tilted her head. “But isn’t the sister dead? She died in that second attack in Stu Macher’s house, right?” she asked, her voice trailing off.
Helena shook her head. Jesus. Shelby still wasn’t getting it. She smacked her hand on the table, ignoring how the girl flinched at the noise. She had to get this kid to understand so she didn’t ruin it. It was crucial to all the townspeople not to destroy this.
“Look, kid. You’re right. But Sam’s really messed up over it still. She still believes that Tara is alive and that she’s just away at college,” she said, her voice strangled. God. She hasn’t had this conversation in a while.
She ran a hand through her hair. “But Tara isn’t; she’s been dead for two years. So Sam comes at night and retells stories about her sister because she thinks Tara will be home soon one day,” she pauses, collecting her words. “Sam just couldn’t handle the fact that she lost Tara again.”
The girl sniffled, tears running down her face. “Again?” she says incredulously, wiping her eyes.
Helena chuckled sadly. “Before alcoholism, Sam was an addict. But that's another story for another day. Go wipe down the back bar,” she ordered, turning away from the sad-eyed girl.
Shelby scampered away, sniffling loudly. Once Helena could no longer hear her footsteps, she turned around and continued to wipe down the stools. Though she didn’t know Sam very well, it was still a brutal story to tell.
Especially since the Carpenter’s mother sat in the same seat Sam did, but in the morning. It was easier for the seasoned alcoholic to drink at ten a.m., while Sam chose the evening shift.
It was excruciating watching history repeat itself. But there wasn’t much Helena could do about it. Her job was to serve her patrons.
And that’s what she did.

You Scare Me, Professor: Chapter 44
Tumblr media
Summary: The reader is taking graduate classes at a local university in the wooded upstate New York. She is drawn to her professor, Dr. Joel Miller, though she is also inherently aware that he has something dark about him that she can't quite put her finger on. As the reader's attraction grows deeper, she has to decide whether to endure the danger or run away as fast as possible.
Pairing: Professor Joel Miller x f!reader
James had decided to keep his efforts quiet as he continued his parade around the Bank Street businesses in search of video footage from the night of the most recent murder. He didn't want some more experienced or egotistical officer to write off the lead he was on, and so he took it upon himself to privately go through the potential evidence collected.
The sneaker shop had been the first to hand over their footage, and while there was no clear shot of the corner the stranger from campus had rounded onto, there was still one helpful tip. The absence of the man or woman, in general, meant that they didn't get that far down the sidewalk.
O’Malley’s, after some grumbling from the co-owner, handed over their footage from that evening.
“Not trying to catch these regulars walking out of here drunk off their asses, are you?” Buck, the co-owner that James hadn't initially spoken with, asked with skepticism. “I ain't getting called out for being no rat. None of ‘em are disorderly here. They're good, paying customers.”
After some convincing, James managed to get his hands on the security tapes without much of a hassle, even being supported by a few of the same men who he’d spoken with initially.
Breaking down the tapes and landing on the exact minutes and seconds necessary to nail down some evidence proved to be a tedious job. And matching that up with the movement of the person in the shadows of Woodbridge was just as tricky.
He didn't make it as far as the sneaker shop. James let his first two fingers dance along the mouse in rapid clicks as he searched for the best angle of the sidewalks outside of O’Malley’s.
Nothing. No one. Nothing.
He knew the person had to be on the footage, unless they turned around and walked back but that would've been on the last Woodbridge tape. It wouldn't make sense for someone to do that, anyway, James knew.
His eyes were starting to sting from the constant staring at the screen. He was squinting, hoping to get a clear view. It had been two nights of sifting through information and videos; and James knew there was potential for several more evenings just like this one.
It's worth it. James didn't have to convince himself of that. It was worth it. The Lady Killer needed to have his ending.
The clock ticked past eleven o'clock, sending him deeper into the night. The school was quiet; still. James wondered if the Lady Killer could be out there right now, on the prowl just beyond his sight.
Was he lurking in the bushes? Stalking on foot? In a car? Did he wear a mask? Was he weilding a weapon?
The thought made him shudder and James refocused on the task at hand. Click. Click. Click.
And then, a shadow entered the frame. It was just that at first - a shadow. The shadow of a human being. It stretched out in almost dreamlike fashion, long and lanky in the odd street lighting.
A man, clad in all black, entered the frame next with a confident stride. His hood was pulled up over his head and James knew this was the same man he had seen in the Woodbridge tapes.
He opened a Manila folder, removing a printed out version of the figure’s still frame from the video on campus. The person was directly under a street light as he rounded off campus and onto Bank Street.
Black clothing. Hood up. Same build. Same time. That was the most important part. The time of the two shots was separated by less than a minute.
James zoomed in on the O’Malley’s footage, attempting to see the person’s face.
“Take your hood off, you bastard,” he said to himself. It was impossible to tell the identity of the person with the hood pulled up in the darkness.
James remained patient. He let the video tick down, frame by frame, and just before leaving the shot, he got his wish.
With two hands, a man pulled the hood down and let it fall against the top of his back. James felt his stomach do a somersault. He paused the video and zoomed in, selecting a setting to depixelate the image as much as possible.
James's eyes squinted for a second as he searched his brain. Something was familiar, but he couldn't immediately put his finger on it. This man was someone he recognized. But where had he seen him?
The lightbulb went on and the elation he had felt from this giant revelation was replaced with dread. He thought of (Y/N) immediately. She was a link in all of this, unbeknownst to her.
Oh fuck. James stared back at the image of the man and hit the button to print out the image for his folder - and, finally, for other law enforcement to view. He had his man. James was certain about that; but first, he began to dial (Y/N’s) phone number.
“Please pick up,” James begged. “Fucking pick up.”
Sweet room service. I still laid naked beneath the sheets when Dr. Miller answered a knock on the door donning just a white bathrobe. He returned a moment later barely able to carry the food delivery.
Chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne would've sounded cliche to me just a few months ago; but now that my lover was setting them down on the nightstand beside the bed I could wholeheartedly see why they were sort of the go-to in romantic settings and stories.
Dr. Miller sat on the edge of the bed and reached for a strawberry. He then leaned over to where I sat up partially against the headboard and placed the tip of it into my mouth.
I smiled as I took a bite and began to chew as he pecked my lips.
“You want a little champagne?” He asked, still hovering close to me.
I plucked the remainder of the strawberry from between his fingers. “I'd love some.” Finishing the bite, I popped the remaining strawberry into my mouth before biting off at the stem.
“Mmm..” Dr. Miller kissed me once more. He rose back up to his feet and reached for the bottle, unraveling the paper around the cork. As he began to carefully work at the cork I chuckled.
“Don't shoot your eye out,” I teased.
A loud pop echoed off the bottle’s interior and the foam only erupted slightly over the top. Dr. Miller looked directly at me, licking his fingers and then proceeded to pour us both a glass.
He handed one over to me and took his own glass as he slid back down beside me, resting a hand on my thigh beneath the sheet.
Dr. Miller’s gaze never left mine. We tapped our glasses together sending a gentle clink into the air. “To us?”
“To a long, happy life,” I began, wondering if I was getting ahead of myself.
“Together,” he finished my sentence and I smiled.
“Together,” I confirmed with a nod.
We lifted our glasses and took a sip. I drew my finger across my lips and then reached for another chocolate covered strawberry, this time reaching over to place it in Dr. Miller’s mouth.
His hand covered mine and he allowed me to place it halfway in his mouth.
“Why are these strawberries so damn sexy?” I asked with a laugh. Dr. Miller chuckled with me and finished the bite before removing another from the rectangular dish, only dunking it in some leftover chocolate drizzle on the plate.
Without warning, he let the chocolate drip down the center of my breasts, making me giggle and lay down flat. Dr. Miller lifted the sheet and a chill left goosebumps all along my body. I swallowed hard and closed my eyes as he let the chocolate trailed all the way down to the lowest part of my stomach.
I bit down on my bottom lip when he positioned his body above mine, kissing along the drizzle and lapping it up as he traveled lower and lower down my abdomen.
My hand tangled in his wavy hair. Fuck, I loved his hair. When he moved down below my waist my legs parted even more.
“Fuck Joel,” I whined, “Dr. Miller.”
Dr. Miller let out an amused chuckle and looked up at me. “You don't know what to call me,” he teased. “And it turns me on a little bit.”
A knock at the door made my body tense up and Dr. Miller glanced over his shoulder as he made his way back to his feet. He tossed the covers over me again.
“Should I get dressed?” I whispered, thinking it must've been one of his family members.
“Stay here for a sec.” Dr. Miller leaned his hands down onto the bed and left a smoldering kiss on my lips as his fingers made home between my legs. The act made me sigh into his mouth. “I'll be right back.”

Rvb skating hcs, bc I miss skating but I can’t figure out how to put the brake back on my blades, and where I live is rlly hilly so I need it or else I'm trapped in the cul-de-sac.
Putting a break cause its a real long list lol
Skateboards:
Alpha Church (Can’t actually skateboard, swears he can but he's sooo wobbly) Tex (Can actually skateboard, makes fun of church) Tucker (Between Church and Tex’s levels, hes decent at it) Wash (Don’t think I need to explain this one) Niner (I’ve seen a lot of wheelchair niner hcs, shed totally do wheelchair skateboarding) Palomo (Falls over a lot, but hey he just keeps on going.) Bitters (Absolutely holds it over Palomos head that he’s better at skateboarding) Theta (canon)
Rollerskates:
Kai (Dunno if this one needs an explanation, she might like derby ngl) Donut (He seems like he’d use them as transportation, just skatin around) South (She’d do roller derby and get so competitive about it) CT (Seen some videos of people doing sweet flips and tricks w skates) Ohio (She gives me the vibe of someone who’s got cool iridescent pink roller skates) Andersmith (Picked up skating cause the younger lieutenants were into it) Matthews (He’s a bit unbalanced, but he’s determined)
Rollerblades:
Carolina (Speed, blades are faster than skates) Simmons (He is shaky as hell, but he is trying. Won’t skate anywhere that’s not flat.) Kimball (Lina taught her, they race) Dr Grey (Dunno, just vibes) Jensen (Much like Simmons but with more uneven terrain) Epsilon Church (Picked blades so he could skate w Lina, and to be different from Wash n Alpha) Omega/O’malley (I'm just picturing him chasing people around at high speeds, cackling) Eta (Wanted to try something new, and to spend time w Theta)
Iceskates:
Florida (Specifically figure skating) Felix (Honestly idk, he’s cold and sharp like an ice skate) Delta (He’d ramble about why it’s an intellectual sport, but actually just thinks its fun) Sigma (He’d be rlly pretentious about it)
Scooter:
York (Guy has no balance but still wants to be included) Iota (Cheers on Eta and Theta, does sick scooter tricks)
Other:
Grif (I think he’d have a longboard that he rides around) Sarge (Quad bike) Doc (Also a longboarder) Idaho (I think he’d prefer dirt bike racing) Iowa (Quad bike, it’s like a mongoose) Caboose (Mountain bike, no real explanation, just vibes)
Doesn’t skate (or bike or anything):
Lopez (He prefers cars, might've made an electric skateboard at some point but doesn't rlly use it) Wyoming (Can’t see him skating at all ngl) North (Cheers everyone else on and records videos) Maine (First aid) Locus (Tried to skate once and fell over. Now he just broods from the benches.) Doyle (Too nervous, prefers to just watch) Gamma (I don’t think he’d go outside much ngl)

Pick a movie, keep an actor from said movie, the rest are played by Muppets. What's the movie and who do you keep from it? Bonus points for details.
