When Cameron first met Adele, the beautiful young woman was taking a stroll around, she had headphones over her ears. So of course she didn't hear a word they said.

They threw a small pebble they picked up from behind the trees and threw it at her shoes, luckily it softly tapped her and she pulled the headphones down from her ears.

“ What?”.

Cameron couldn't seem to take their eyes off her, she was extraordinary and beautiful.

“ You didn't fancy taking a walk with the others?” they asked, biting their lips.

Adele chuckled and it made their heart clenched, they even had soft butterflies in their stomach.

“ No,” Adele answered.

Cameron smiled, they didn't blame her at all. The walk wasn't something they did with the groups either, but there were days when they did.

They got down from the tree and walked closer to the dark-haired female, she was at least no… she was five foot and one inches.

Small for her size.

But Cameron didn't mind, they looked at her as she looked at him.

She fluttered her eyelashes for a split second.

Flirting?.

“ Come on, let's go inside”.

Adele smiled, making their heart flutter once more.

Oh, these feelings.

Over the past month Adele and Cameron's relationship has bloomed for the best, they joked and laughed with others.

Others were envious of their relationship, but neither didn't care.

Cameron sure didn't.

But things slowly went downhill, Adele talked about night terrors and astral Projection.

What the heck was Astral Projection?.

So they asked her for more details, and slowly and carefully Adele went into details.

Cameron was shocked when they learned about it. Because they didn't have night terrors and they voiced it.

“ But you can try, I believe you don't have to have night terrors to Astral Project” Adele had said.

Cameron shook their head and just smiled, but later that evening they did research and did what she asked.

For the first few tries,nothing happened. But why did you expect? They wasn't having night terrors.

But on their fifth try they managed to get their soul to leave their body, it shocked them to their core.

And those Lucid dreams? Wow! Outstanding.

They told Adele about it, and the young woman was happy for her friend.

It was until one late night when the two were engaged in a talk when Adele had the idea to Astral project to the forest and take a sight at the wail.

Cameron happily did what she asked, they would do anything for her.

So that night they laid on the bed and held each other's hands, they were nervous and so was Adele.

They smiled at her and let each other hand go, they both then counted their fingers and slowly their souls left their bodies as they flew out of the bed, room and outside.

Where they would travel through the forest and finally reach the Wail, the souls then turned around and went back to their original owners.

When the souls reconnected, both sat up with a gasp.

Cameron's heart was racing rapidly, they rubbed their chest and took deep breaths.

Adele happily jumped out of bed and hugged her friend.

They Happily hugged her back, the hug lasted for a few seconds until both pulled away.

They stared at each other and slowly leaned closely and their lips touched gently.

Camerone grabbed her waist and pulled her close, Adele happily signed into the kiss and closed her eyes as she felt bliss and desire.

The kiss was passionate, gentle and full of love.

Slowly they pulled apart and looked at each other. They never felt that they would have feelings for each other or even catch them.

Cameron laughed as they grabbed her hand and softly caressed it.

Adele chuckled and leaned her head on her now lover's chest.

She mumbled something slowly that they couldn't hear.

Cameron looked confused but opened their mouth to reply. “ What did you say? I didn't hear you?”.

Adele nuzzled and closed her eyes before she went to sleep.

“ I love you ”.

They kissed the top of Adele's head and sighed.

She was tired, so of course she didn't mean that.

They would love to see her face when she awakens and realizes what she said.

They slowly rose to their feet and picked up Adele, her body was light so they could easily carry her to her room.

They tucked her in and kissed the top of her forehead, but not before saying three words that would have made her heart melt.

“ I love you”.

And slowly they closed the door and walked back down the hall to their room.

They then got in bed and went to sleep after a few minutes.

“ Do you have to go?” Adele whimpered one day as her lover was leaving the place.

Camerone cooed softly and leaned down to kiss her lips softly but pulled back to answer. “ Yes, I did my time already. I'll be back before you know… well I never be back, but I'll come visit you. You… I tell you want, I call you everyday, sounds good?”.

Adele nodded and ran her hand through Cameron Auburn brown hair and stood on her tiptoes to kiss their cheek.

“ Yes, that sounds good. And you better, or else I miss you terribly”.

Cameron chuckled and kissed her once more, Adele melted into the kiss.

Neither pulled away for a long period of time.

But they knew the longer they stay together, the more pain they'll be in.

A little while later Cameron's phone rang and they pulled it to their ear and answered.

“ Hello little doll, how are you?” they answered.

They heard their girlfriend's voice and leaned on the wall for support, if they hadn't they would have collapsed.

It felt like their knees were going out.

“ Hey..” Adele breathed into the voice. “ I miss you love. How are you?”.

Cameron bit their lip and sighed softly. “ Fine, but lonely without you. ”

“ So how is it there? Do you have any new friends?” they asked after a few minutes.

There was a pause for a while but Their girlfriend spoke up.

“ Yes, I made a friend… he's very funny. I think we help each other” was Adele's reply.

Cameron clenched their hand but shook it off.

They felt anger but they weren't mad at her, she was allowed to make friends but why was they so angry?.

“ should I be worried?”.

Adele and someone else laughed on the other end and they felt stupid for asking, it seemed they were making a big deal out of nothing.

“ No” was Adele's response.

They talked for a little while before Cameron hung up and rubbed their forehead.

They could feel something was about to happen.

Every nerve in their body was going off, something was wrong.

They could feel it.

They needed Adele here and now.

Before it was too late.

I was supposed to have Oc, Adele and Rob all in the asylum at the same time, but I decided against it.

Grassroot Soccer 2023 World AIDS Day Gala

On November 30, 2023, the Ninth Annual Grassroot Soccer (GRS) World AIDS Day Gala at Lindley Hall in London raised almost $2 million for GRS, which uses the power of soccer to equip young people with the life-saving information, services, and mentorship they need to live healthier lives.

Featuring celebrities and high-profile individuals from the worlds of sport, entertainment, and global health, the evening focused on the theme of mental health - the most critical health issue facing young people globally, and one that affects other urgent health challenges, including HIV/AIDS. During the evening, GRS honored the television series Ted Lasso and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) for their respective impact on mental health with the Game-Changer Award.

Your Twin Peaks fun fact of the day

Day #5

Many of the characters names in Twin Peaks weren't chosen just because.

Several characters are named after film noir figures, here are some examples:

Madeleine Ferguson, Laura's cousin, shares her first name with Kim Novak's character in Vertigo and her surname with James Stewart character in that same movie. Curiously enough, the movie surrounds a dead blonde and her brunette doppelgänger.

There's an insurance agent on Twin Peaks named Walter Neff, which plays homage to Fred MacMurray's character in Double Indemnity.

Also, the vet Dr. Lydecker and Waldo the bird both pay tribute to Clifton Webb's character in Laura.

And Gordon Cole, whose name is a reference to Bert Moorhouse character in Sunset Boulevard, one of David Lynch's favorite movie and biggest inspiration.

But it's not just film noir references. For instance, Dale Cooper's, whose middle name is Bartholomew, initials are the same ones as D. B. Cooper the famous hijacker who parachuted from a plane in Washington with stolen cashed and disappeared out of the blue.

And last but not least, Harry Truman's name is a reference to the Harry Truman who refused to leave his lodge during the eruption of Mount St. Helens.

Mary Patterson

Plied with gin, stupefied, Burke's knee on my breast, till the life is pressed out of me, then I'm delivered to your door

and it was one thing Dr Knox, who buys the beef, to take my body, for professional scientific purposes, for the greater good, so to speak,

and for certain my body  was worth more as dead meat - I'd hitch up my skirts for just a few coins in the shadows of Canongate, Whereas you paid seven pounds and ten shillings -

but to lay me out like that, naked on the couch, sensuously arranged under the flickering candlelight, my dead face seductively turned to the audience, and a white sheet draped teasingly over my calves,

and then have me sketched before my dissection -

now that's a disgrace. What were you thinking?

And you, Mr Ferguson, surgeon in training, looking at me, in your professional capacity

as I looked at you in mine just two nights previous. You still want to use me?

Note: The most notorious victim of the Edinburgh murderers William Burke and William Hare was Mary Paterson, a prostitute about eighteen years old, “well known” to Burke, who was “cut short in her sinful career” on 9 April 1828. Her body was purchased for the distinguished anatomist Dr Robert Knox, whose doorkeeper David Paterson (no relation) admired the “beautiful symmetry and freshness of the body”. Knox's students were similarly struck by her “handsome” corpse, some even making sketches of it. David Paterson claimed he had asked Burke how he obtained the body, and was told that Mary had died of drink.   Knox's rival Robert Liston was said to have remonstrated with Knox about Mary Paterson in front of his class before knocking him down and removing the body for burial, but this chivalrous incident probably never happened: Burke claimed in his confession that Mary’s body was dissected and Dr Lonsdale confirmed this.   More recently, Knox has been accused of preserving Mary’s body in alcohol for his lectures on muscles, a course he would hardly have taken had he suspected the true cause of her death. Still less would he have permitted artist John Oliphant to make this post-mortem drawing of Mary as Venus, as part of a study of the anatomical basis of beauty. On February 22nd 1816, Dr. Adam Ferguson, the Scottish historian and philosopher died.

Ferguson has been called “the father of modern sociology” for his contributions to the early development of the discipline and was one of the leading “lights” in the Scottish Enlightenment.

As a moralist, historian and philosopher, Adam Ferguson is often regarded as one of the earliest voices of Scottish sociological study. Born in Logierait, Perthshire, Ferguson was accepted into a divinity course at the University of St Andrews, but later abandoned the ministry after a stint as chaplain of the Black Watch Regiment.

During the late 1750s, Ferguson succeeded David Hume as the librarian at Edinburgh’s Advocates Library before becoming the chair of mental and moral philosophy at the institution. His teachings revolved around the idea that man is a social animal, conditioned by habit, culture and language to learn from past actions.

Ferguson also believed that civilised society bred the conditions necessary for war, such as a stratified social system and the professionalisation of the military. He was one of few philosophers to emphasise the ‘good’ that conflict could bring, such as advancements in science and better understanding of the human body.

Page 9. --- This is Verdict of Coroner's Jury Regarding Killing of Galician Child --Woman Wounded by Shot-gun ---- Dauphin, Jan. 29. The practical responsibility for the death of Baby Ваran, shot and killed in the attack Monday, on the home of John Baran, Galician outlaw, was tonight placed by a coroner's jury upon the posse, but the ethical responsibility remains with the defenders of the house who opened the gun battle without any warning. The jury's verdict was to the effect that Baby Baran, killed Jan. 27, came to his death from a rifle shot in the hands of one of the posse under charge of Chief Bridle, organized for purpose of effecting the arrest of John Baran, regarded as a dangerous character and suspected of shooting Constable Rooke on Jan. 26, and while the death of the baby was regretable, it was purely accidental under the circumstances and the jury attached no blame to any member of the party. The jury head ed by George King, included many well known men, and included Thomas Shaw, David Sutherland, Mayor Coldwell, Ed Batty, F. Nealey, T. R. Copeland, H. Morrison, Nelson Taylor, F. R. McDonald, R. S. Ferguson and Thomas Jordan.

The child's real name cannot be ascertained. The mother refuses to give her own name. She declares the baby was only about 14 months old but neighbors declare she brought the baby with her, when she came to live with Baran over two years ago, while the coroner, Dr. W. J. Harrington, affirms it to be over two years old. A peculiar feature about the woman's wounds is the beliei privately expressed by Dr. Harrington, that her hurts are gunshot wounds and not rifle wounds. There was no shotgun in the attacking party's arms. While the shotgun found in the house had one empty barrel.

The attackers further declare that the shots fired from the house had the sharp staccato crack of the revolver, a declaration which is borne out by the appearance of the old cylinder-loading revolver found near the woman, which had two chambers empty. The woman is now believed to be more seriously hurt than at first thought. One shot went sideways through her breast and lodged in her arm while another is embedded in her wrist. Septic poisoning is feared, and Dr. Harrington is to make an X-ray examination as soon as possible.
