the very moment he found out about your shyness around the subject he came to realise that he loves nothing more than to tease you and watch you squirm

all he has to do is say one dirty thing or even just mention the word 'sex' and you practically recoil, looking away from him as you stumble on your words with your cheeks flushing a deep shade of red

oh how he adores it

innocent kisses are about as much as he can get off you before you’re coming up with some excuse and running away before things can advance further

although it is reassuring to him to know that sex is not the only thing you want from him, as has been with many of his... tumbles in the past

he was sure you did want him though, even if you were too shy to admit it. how could any man resist him, after all?

you just weren’t ready, still far too shy to the thought, and he was okay with that

he would wait for as long as you needed and he’d certainly be there whenever you were ready to go just a little further

it seemed that baby steps were required with you but he could be patient

the teasing would not stop though, it was far too fun for him to forgo it

and when the time finally came when he was able to work you up to it, he adored you all the more for how you twisted and turned underneath him, trying to hide your flushed and embarrassed face under your arm or by pushing it down into your pillow

"i want to see you, amatus," he'd say as he turned your face towards him with a gentle hand, kissing you softly as if to remind you that you were safe with him and that there was nothing to be embarrassed about

he’d bring something dirty up in almost every conversation with you just to watch you squirm

he had never seen anyone so shy about sex before

he certainly wasn’t and usually he’d have given up and moved on to someone else by now

but he wanted you

more than just teasing, he’d love to describe all the things he wanted to do to you in great detail

the rest of the party had scolded him time and time again after seeing how uncomfortable it made you

still, he wouldn’t stop

not until he had at least had a taste of you

the camp would be celebrating with a party by the time you would finally begin to buckle under his advances

a little too drunk for your own good

he’d sit beside you, handing you another pitcher of wine, your shoulders bumping together

whispers of sinful things would find their way into your ears as he trailed his fingers up and down your arm

if shadowheart hadn’t been watching with a close eye you were almost sure he would have had his way with you right then and there

instead, he settled for watching you fumble more than usual, face burning red at every foul description that fell from his lips until you finally passed out from the exhaustion of it all, head slumping against his shoulder as he smiled almost too fondly and carefully removed the pitcher from your hand before what was left of the wine could spill over you both

he would never give up though and the next morning when you woke up in his bed he was quick to tease and threaten you with how great of a time the two of you had had the night before

you only blushed and pulled the blankets up to hide your face in panic

oh how he loved this game

“don't worry your pretty little head. nothing happened between us last night, as much as i wish it had.”

your first time together would be a long time coming and he would savour every moment of it, drawing it out for hours until you could do nothing but cry out his name

Noticing a letter that had King Alistair’s insignia on it, you felt your heart sink as you realized you were late for a meeting with him too.

Andraste preserve me, you thought as you snatched it and started to run for the door.

In your haste, you threw the door open and came to face the surprised face of Commander Cullen Rutherford. He seemed more nervous than usual? The slightest tinge of pink to his cheeks and under his eyes

“Inquisitor, you’re up early! Uhm, I—needed to speak with you—erm, about—.”

“Make it quick, Commander. I’m late for a meeting and who knows what else on this forsaken day!”

You hastily walked past him through the hall with the curly-haired man trailing behind you.

“Right, yes, as I was saying, I mean—-you and I, or rather I have started to—.”

There was a small sigh of frustration and the slightest eyeroll from you as he stumbled over his words.

Cullen could see the determined look on your face, no sign of listening on your part.

There was a deep sigh on Cullen’s end before he spoke.

“You are so difficult, I’m trying to tell you something.”

Throwing your hands up in exasperation, your voice was raised a few octaves.

“Tell me what, Cullen? What could you possibly tell me that would change this?”

You immediately regretted the biting tone in your voice as he flinched just the tiniest at your words.

“…I love you.”

It became so quiet in the hallways you swore a needle could drop.

Oh. Oh.

“Cullen, I—.”

“You don’t have to…say anything right now, but I had to tell you.”

There was no possible way you could leave him like this. Yes, the guilt was starting to eat at you but it was more than that.

Being thrown to each other’s side to work against Corypheus brought about more than just a professional dynamic. Late nights, travels, countless pouring over documents and physical training, you and the Commander were past being platonic.

Seeing a human side to Cullen was endearing to you, and there was a soft element that started to cultivate over all this time.

You grabbed the inside of his wrist, much to Cullen’s surprise, and pulled him close to hear your whisper.

“No, I mean it. I do apologize for my outburst.”

There was a glimmer of hope in his warm eyes as you tried to reassure him.

“We’ll talk later. I swear it, Cullen.”

Sorry to be making another post again, I know I probably sound like a broken record at this point but my family and I are again in another desperate situation, this time worst than the last few. Some context, my name is Link, I'm a 22-year old artist and since November 2021 my family and I (father and younger sibling) have been homeless and living in a motel. Our only source of income is through my commissions + the occasional donations.

Recently, things have gotten worse. We've been having trouble paying for the room recently, let alone food. Most of the week we either didn't have food or barely had anything to eat. On top of that, we haven't been able to pay the past couple days and now we owe 200$. Thankfully the staff here are nice with extensions but we don't have much time. If we don't pay everything by tomorrow, we will be forced to leave. And we don't have anywhere to go if that happens.

Work has been very slow and despite me advertising my work on various platforms, we haven't had help for the past couple days. I'm hoping we could get some help through here if possible. I love and hate Dragon Age, the thing about it is it would be so good if it was good. I'll never stop complaining about it and I'll never stop playing it.
