Abilities: can breathe underwater for as long as he wants, can talk to the native fish and underwater creatures, and can see perfectly fine under even the dirtiest waters.

Likes: swimming, baths, chatting with friends, fish, axolotls, and just drifting on the ocean surface either sleeping or star gazing.

Dislikes: Dry places (because he needs to stay wet or he'll dry out), sharks, and mean people

Story: Axle was raised by himself and knows everything there is to know about the ocean. He grew up hiding in the reefs because he was scared of everything. He never met any other dragons, and when he was 3, group of Sharkands (Some random new species I made, I guess) moved in and he didn't know how to talk to him. They felt bad for him, being all alone, and took him in. They taught him how to speak dragon and English. He started wandering off more and more, farther and farther. Then one day, he got caught in a strong current that took him miles away from them, to a small island. He was scared, in an unknown place. He started wandering around, figuring out where the best spots were. He started to live there, and made friends with some of the creatures living there. But he still has never stopped looking for his family.

Rook receives a letter from his childhood friend, Erica, who's currently back home on break. The letter contains an invitation to a tea party, with parts of it resembling something a child would make. Inviting some of his classmates to join him (and cryptically telling them to "bring a friend"), they arrive at Acre Valley, a small town know for it's gardens.

While looking at the farmer's market, they run into Erica's father, Alexander Berger, at his flower stand. (Please note: Erica is adopted, and her father is human) He's happy to see Rook again, greeting everyone and making small talk. After seeing the sights and doing some shopping, Rook directs everyone to head into the woods, leading them to a small cottage.

Turns out Erica didn't live in Acre Valley, but the woods surrounding it, known as Milne Woods. They find her there, along with the other guests attending the tea party. Except... they're stuffed animals!? But they're moving and speaking (non-verbally)... What's going on!?

Erica is a 18 year old sheep beastman, attending an all girl's school in the Queendom of Roses. She is shy, and usually keeps to herself.

Her unique magic allows her to make inanimate objects sentient, but for a few hours at a time. Her magic only works if the owner has an emotional connection with said object, and "believes they're real". She primarily uses her magic on stuffed animals, and considers them "asleep" when her magic wears off.

Out of all of her stuffed friends, her best friend is Tigger, taking him wherever she goes.

Erica and Rook are childhood friends, with his family coming to Milne Woods every summer for vacation. Their relationship is purely platonic, and they write letters to each other to keep in touch.

Rook has a bloodhound stuffed animal named Cooper that Erica was watching for him, who he would take "hunting" with him as a kid.

Now that they're third years, Erica worries about the future of their friendship, each of them busy and unable to spend time together like they used to. While visiting home, she invites Rook to stop by for a tea party, wishing to experience old times again.

Rook, knowing that she was lonely (even if she doesn't say it), decides to bring along some of his classmates (in the hopes that she can meet new people, and make new friends ♡)

Since this is meant to replicate an in game event, Yuu and Erica become friends during the tea party, with Erica giving Yuu a drawing the stuffed animals did of them and Grim before they leave.

The stuffed animals believe that Grim is a stuffed animal too, and treat him like one of their own (much to his displeasure).

Yuu also introduces Malleus by nickname to Erica, causing her to believe that was actually his name and addressing him as such (he never corrects her either)

in the book, i think paul’s death , the frenieres and their connection via slavery are more important mortals to book louis than his sister or mother. they both remain unnamed figures, tertiary symbols for how immortality and time strip u away from the mortal sphere. we have kalyne’s acting and the show to thank for making her a complex character.

the show elevates the entire du lac family dynamic imo, paul’s one-dimensional fanaticism becomes a compelling sort of religious psychosis - a mad black man clinging to faith in a world that gave him very few other options. the ‘asylum in jackson’ at their time was a segregated facility that made their patients build the infrastructure themselves. the last sunrise book louis saw of his sleeping sister becomes the last sunrise show louis saw - his younger brother killing himself the morning after his sister’s wedding.

paul is also an introduction for the ‘roles louis (and paul, who is unable to) has to play’. unable to mask, paul propositions a lady of the night with the word of god. louis, who ‘did not want to draw a knife on [his] brother, but couldnt afford to look weak on liberty’, threatens paul. lestat is seduced not by the act alone, but the tempest in louis’s mind as he commits it. it is paul’s suicide that is the last time louis sees the sunrise, and grace + florence’s subsequent responses to it that drive louis in the drunken haze he was in before/while being turned. with the loss of paul, louis is the sole ‘aberration’ of their family while grace is the ‘good sister’ as kalyne coleman worded it.

grace’s arc in the show is rendered a fascinating parallel to louis’s. as pointed out in many gifsets + the like, grace is married proper while louis has a bloody vow of immortality in st. augustine’s. also grace, whos able to be properly married with children of her own, her expected role as a (cis) woman of her age, v. louis, whos rendered an immortal placee, who nearly eats his own nephew and weeps bc he cannot have ‘children of his own’ (unlike grace, is whats unsaid).

he desires to have a family to complete his companionship, and also to be in an ‘aberrant’ role for a man of his age. louis, in his adoption of claudia in the next episode, then brings her to the first time to his mother’s funeral, with a ‘family of his own’ to protect him from his mortal family’s dispute.

grace is also rendered a sort of babette here, as a mortal observer to louis’s immortality, who watches him be gradually removed from their day, and ends up parting with louis on vaguely similar notes - fear of the devil in louis.

but where babette was terrified of book louis (& lestat, though she gave no indication of knowing they were both there) bc of his oppressive hunting of the people in his capture, bc louis+ lestat were threatening her for a way to escape to new orleans; grace in the show was burying the memory of the brother she once had, lost to the abstract devil that is immortality. its a coda, a sequel of sorts to the confrontation at the du lac mansion in episode 3, where florence calls louis the devil. grace buries louis with him standing there. the makeup is dubious, but grace is meant to be older as indicated by her attire + dialogue (“prayed myself old thinkin bout u”). babette’s departure from the narrative segways claudia’s entry, but in the show, grace’s departure from the narrative marks a turning point for claudia and louis. claudia watching louis weep over his own grave makes her believe she was ‘made to be louis’s sister’, and louis losing his last mortal connection marks a turning point that opens him for further abuse that very episode ends on.

all of this is to say this is an extremely compelling depiction of siblinghood, and how love can be lost and/or estranged between family.

Finally, after all this time, 1920’s AU Link’s Main outfit concepts are all done!!! It’s been a challenge traveling for work and having time to work on art, but I am slowly getting better at it! (Sorry this took so long ;;)

AU Main Summary:

Since travel has been restored between the light realm and the twilight realm, a newfound unity flourished between the two societies. New friends, new towns/cities to explore, never-before-seen technologies and fashions at their disposal- all seemed well...until nefarious rumors of a returning great threat started to spread... Brief Lore of Link’s Role In The AU: With the new alluring land of Twilight open for entry and for any and all visitors, Link jumps at the chance to visit the amber-hued and shadow-filled world as Zelda’s accompanying guard for the latest council meeting. What and who lies in wait for Link to meet in this parallel reality? A world far more alien and advanced than his own? Rumors of an ethereal beauty shrouded in shadow? ___________________________________________________________ Link, a kindhearted, brave and daring country boy, is ready to make a name for himself as Hyrule’s greatest explorer! He’s known across the land as the “one-man army” for being extremely adaptable and prepared for any situation at any time with his wide arsenal of tools at his disposal. Some may also call him the “evergreen mountaineer” being as there is no mountain or peak he cannot scale- and by the fact he is always seen donning his famous dark green field coat, cap and his pickax of legend. He always greets friends and acquaintances alike with a warm smile and a firm handshake with a hearty hello (or ‘howdy’) with a slight southern draw. Because of this, he’s occasionally seen as a young, irresponsible and reckless lad, especially due to the extreme nature of most of his exploration missions and his tendency to throw safety to the wind. He may seem like a “lone wolf” most of the time, but he always manages to bring along his dear friend Princess Zelda (and sometimes Midna) for any excursion he may be heading on…but in secret, of course. If the King of Hyrule were to ever find out about the “dangerous” adventures he’s been dragging Zelda onto, surely it would not go well…. Besides adventuring, Link spends his time helping his adoptive family back in Ordon with their expansive pumpkin farm and raising goats that are for producing the finest of goat cheese known region-wide. Any other spare time he has is at the right-hand side of Zelda, helping her with daily royal errands, solving mysteries, or just going out on the town to a local pub or to a delightful picnic in Hyrule Field. When he is at the pub, he can be seen boisterously playing an array of instruments, ranging from drums, stringed instruments, and most notably, his Ocarina (a very cherished gift from Zelda). While Link may be a bit of a country boy, he is no less capable of assisting Zelda in her pursuits of solving the various mysteries popping up around Castle Town, often providing a unique perspective from being the most skilled survivalist around. Once Midna arrives on the scene, she often enables Link’s craziest ideas- bringing out his secret (or not-so-secret) mischievous side. However, Link absolutely loathes Zant, Midna's towering Valet, due to his arrogant nature and his occasional mocking of Link’s short stature.

A Wood-Engraved Feathursday

We recently received Birds of the British Isles by British author and wood engraver Eric Fitch Daglish (1892-1966) as a donation from our friend Tony Drehfal. Published in London by J. M. Dent & Sons in 1948 in a limited edition of 1500 copies, the work is illustrated with 23 black and white and 25 hand-colored wood engravings by Daglish. In discussing his illustrations, Daglish writes:

In preparing the plates I have endeavoured to record impressions left on my mind by living birds observed in their natural surroundings. Skins in museum collections have been consulted from time to time, but none of the drawings on which the engravings are based were made from dead, stuffed, or mounted specimens. . . . A camera study can show a subject with complete accuracy in a single pose . . . whereas a drawing made after prolonged observation . . . may catch something of the spiritual essence of the species. . . . it is hoped that the degree of simplification adopted in some cases will help, rather than hinder, their interpretation, and be justified by the effect obtained.

Today we display a hand-colored wood engraving of the Eurasian Hoopoe (Upupa epops), a very striking bird with with a marvelous, retractable, fan-like crest, golden-brown fore coloring, and dramatic, laddered, black and white rear coloring. Hoopoes are a genus in the order Bucerotiformes, and so are most closely related to hornbills.

We sometimes think of the Eurasian Hoopoe as a British bird because of its frequent appearances in books about British birds; even the first guide book to British birds to use wood engravings, Thomas Bewick's A History of British Birds (1797-1804), included an entry and illustration about the Hoopoe. Yet, the bird is actually a rarity in Britain, with only 100-200 migratory birds accidently blown across to the island each year, mainly only along the southern coast.

I finally got back around to fixing that Fredbear line to go with my Springbonnie line from before. These two are called Timiteddy and Frightbite!

Below I added more talk about my mindset when making these guys, some inspiration behind their designs, and some more lore that was too much for their dex entries. These two lines have a "friend to enemies" dynamic going for them and it's impossible to write it all in two Pokedex entries 💀

I chose Fairy-Psychic for Timiteddy because I wanted him to be based around the Fredbear plush from FNaF 4. To this day, people debate if Fredbear plush is possessed or imaginary or just Afton messing with BV. For this I decided on the imaginary friend theory hence Fairy. The Psychic type comes from "Psychic Friend Fredbear" because it was right there. I had to 😂 His design is entirely based off the Hex Fredbear plushie design with a touch of Bite Victim's constant tears. His shiny is a mix of Nightmare and Lefty with grey tears from the dead kids.

Timiteddy's whole quirk is that his entire appearance is deceptive. He gives off the vibe of a weak Pokemon due to his plush appearance, constant tears, and aversion to fighting, but Timiteddy is actually strong by default and a force to be reckoned with. Those tears are the result of an overflow of psychic energy caused by his lack of fighting. They are used for both attacking and defense, and his claws pack quite the punch as well. Timiteddy stays on the defense for than anything however, for the reasons stated above. Lots of Timiteddy can be found around younger children or the Pokemon Hareo. Despite their differences, Hareo and Timiteddy stick together. They're two halves of a duo.

Frightbite is a based off Nightmare Fredbear and the Hex Fredbear plush. He keeps the Fairy typing for the imaginary/nightmare/dream element Nightmare Fredbear is associated with, and the steel typing also comes from Nightmare Fredbear's sharp metal claws and teeth. His shiny is a mix of Nightmare, Shadow Freddy, and a touch of Puppet with the purple tears. His back is ripped open due to his evolution requirement: being defeated in battle by a Bonslaught.

Frightbite's whole theme is betrayal. The evolution is the result of a Timiteddy being destroyed by a Bonslaught, the one Pokemon line they keep their guard down around. Timiteddy are one of Bonslaught's favorite victims due to the manipulation element and the violent battle that comes after the betrayal. The negative emotions from that come from the encounter cause the Timiteddy to lose any inhibitions they had with harming others, leading to the Pokemon evolving into something much bigger and much more visually intimidating. The last remnants of its psychic tears harden into claws and the rest is permanently lost due to his ripped open back.

Some of Frightbite's ripped seams been weaponized by its evolution. The most obvious one its its stomach. While still partially sealed with a button, its chest has become a second functional mouth capable of biting anything Frightbite is able to hold into place. The second is the seams going down his neck. While the first four stitches are able to stretch with ease, the rest can be stretched temporarily to cause a devastating bite for anything it gets a hold of. A Frightbite rarely has to use this heavy of a bite however. His bottom jaw with always curve down when opened due to the lack of structure.

Despite their nightmarish appearance, Frightbite are actually great to keep around kids. They are very careful with their claws and teeth because they know what its like to be on the other side of them. Towns dealing with dangerous Bonslaught often borrow or adopt Frightbites from other nearby areas to help protect any children they have. Frightbites are one of the only Pokemon a Bonslaught will avoid out of fear.

Frightbites and Bonslaught who are raised together still have this instinctive fear and instinctive hatred for one another albeit a lot tamer than in the wild. It is important to always keep an eye on these two if you keep them together, even if they were thick as thieves when they were children. A Frightbite is only caused by a violent attack from a Bonslaught after all, and Frightbites have never been ones to easily forgive and forget...

Marie Anne Babeuf: A Largely Forgotten Revolutionary

It is true that many female revolutionaries from the French Revolution period are not well remembered. I'd like to make a post in honor of Marie Anne Victoire Babeuf, née Langlet, who was a revolutionary and a staunch supporter of Gracchus Babeuf before and after his death. I couldn't even find a drawing of her.

She was born in Amiens in 1756 and worked as a servant in a château near the Somme. There, she met her future husband, Gracchus Babeuf, who was then known as François Noël Babeuf. They married for love but unfortunately had to endure the loss of their two daughters, both named Sophie (one died from burns at age 4 in 1787, and the other from malnutrition at age 7 in 1788). They then had three sons: the most famous, Robert Babeuf, born in 1785 and later renamed Emile in honor of Rousseau, Camille Babeuf in 1790, and Caius Babeuf in 1797.

Marie Anne was one of her husband's greatest political supporters and closest collaborators. She printed his newspaper for a long time, and her activism led to her arrest for two days in February 1795.

When her husband was arrested while she was pregnant, she made almost every possible effort to secure his release. She never gave up on him. She walked from Paris to Vendôme with Buonarroti's wife to better assist in the defense of their husband. She attended the trial that sentenced her husband to death. A few months after Gracchus Babeuf's suicide, she gave birth to their last son, Caius. Félix Lepeletier acted as a protector of the family (it appears that Turreau also helped and supposedly adopted Camille Babeuf, one of his very few good deeds). She supported her children through various small jobs, including working as a market vendor, while never abandoning her activism and remaining combative.

And she needed it, because during the rue de Nicaisne attack, which had disastrous consequences for the Jacobins (I’ve already shared my thoughts on this here: https://www.tumblr.com/nesiacha/756533326215528448/the-jacobins-executed-by-bonaparte?source=share), she lost one of her most loyal allies, Félix Lepeletier, who was sentenced to deportation. She herself was arrested following this event. One can only imagine her anguish, as she was the one supporting her sons amid the violence of the repression even if it seems that she was released soon. It would not be the last time she had trouble with the Bonapartist regime. During a conspiracy of Malet , she was once again visited by the Napoleonic police, who confiscated her papers in 1808.

It seems that misfortunes continued to befall Marie Anne Babeuf, as some sources suggest that her son Caius Babeuf died during the 1814 invasion. Her son Emile Babeuf, also an activist, sided with the Hundred Days regime and, surprisingly, wrote a letter to Carnot (one of the main organizers of the Babouvist repression), although it is less surprising given that he knew what Bonaparte had done to him and his family. I’ve already given my opinion, considering that the Republicans preferred to unite, including with Bonaparte, despite their grievances, to avoid the imminent Bourbon restoration (see this post for more information: https://www.tumblr.com/nesiacha/755017284158980096/emile-babeuf-and-the-letter-send-lazare-carnot?source=share). He was sentenced to deportation but was pardoned on August 25, 1818. In the meantime, his mother obtained a visitation permit that she often used. It also seems that her son Camille Babeuf committed suicide during the Allies’ entry into Paris in 1815. I hope Caius and Camille did not die like that, as it would add another tragedy (surviving her beloved husband and then four out of five children, not to mention all the problems she faced due to her activism and her surroundings).

We have no record of when this unjustly forgotten revolutionary died. She seemed extremely combative, and her commitment is beyond doubt.But how hard it must have been for her to see that the ideals of the revolution that she and her husband fought to achieve were defeated first by the Directory, then by Napoleon's regime and finally by the Bourbon Restoration.

Most of the sources I used are from historian Jean Marc Schiappa. While working on a project to write her biography, I finally found a biography of her on a French site called Maitron, which I invite you all to see here: https://maitron.fr/spip.php?article25533. I found it just a few days ago, and there are some of portraits of revolutionaries from different periods and countries. Too bad that it is generally only of a political branch because I have not been able to find for example portraits of the Brissottins (for the moment maybe they are in this site)

Dominant and submissive dynamics. A power exchange where the sub gives their power to the dom and trusts them to lead.

Blood Play

Can be blood drinking, causing a character to bleed, or blood just being a point of (sexual/romantic) interest. Does not have to be the pairing's blood, such as Character A kills a character and gets their blood on them and Character B is really into that, or drawing blood with a bite. (Hint hint towards a way to cross this with omegaverse ;) )

Incest

Can be whatever familial relation, including adoptive or step family!

Daddybastian and the other DILFs of Kuroshitsuji

Daddy kink! It can be any Kuroshitsuji character, not just Sebastian.

Size Kink

Focuses on penis size. Can have overlap with height difference and focusing on the general body size of a partner.

Cannibalism

One character eating another character of their species or close enough to their species, such as a demon, vampire, werewolf eating a human.

Loss of Virginity/First Time

A character having sex for the first time ever or the first time with a specific partner. We're pretty lax with this one, ie loss of virginity can still count for Ciel if it's his consensual first time, and it also works for dub/noncon depending on what you want to go with!

Scarification

Burning, biting, cutting, or scratching in order to leave a scar and manipulate the wound to make a specific design.

Priest Kink/Religious Imagery

A character can be a priest or it could just be about religious imagery, such as fucking in a church or Character A getting plowed while Character B wears a crucifix that swings between them.

Weapons Play

Incorporating weapons as part of the scene. Can be a knife, gun, or whatever else you come up with!

Breeding/Omegaverse

Does not have to include both, and breeding does not have to include pregnancy, it can just be about the act of breeding/mating.

Height Difference

One character is taller/larger than the other. Often focuses on one character being smaller or larger. Overlaps with but does not have to include size kink.

Bondage

Story: Stuffy was originally a life sized plush for a little girl. The girl was a plushie collector and wanted Stuffy. She got her on Oposite Day and named her after that day. Stuffy was treated really well, and had a nice home. One day, the girl's brother ripped of Stuffy's arm, leaving a fluffed mess behind. Stuffy then came into being and realized what happened. Terrified, Stuffy took her arm and ran away. Her arm is now held in place by soul magic. She now explores the world in hopes of making friends.

FFXIV Write Entry #10: Carbuncle Quality

Fifteen rubies.

Fifteen proofs of concept, if they each summoned a fire-aspected carbuncle.

Synnove fought down the urge to pick at her fingernails as if she was sixteen all over again.

Thubyrgeim and Takeke Take, the chair of the aetherophysics department, were currently examining each ruby with a jeweler’s loupe, looking for any flaws that would affect the carbuncles’ magic. Most flaws were harmless, worked into the framing arrays, and Synnove had done checks herself, but a key tenant of arcanima was never to assume anything. A second or third pair of eyes was always a good idea.

One by one, they examined each ruby. One by one, they set them back down in the tray, making notes on clipboards.

Beside her, Mhaslona was sprawled inelegantly, her prosthetic leg propped up on a chair, seemingly at ease. Synnove saw the way she stretched out her hands, though, gently cracking her knuckles in sequence.

And then it was time to summon each carbuncle.

Synnove had not done this check herself; as these were both proofs of concept of artificial aether infusion and intended to be student carbuncles, the requirement had been she not twine any of her own aether into the gems, lest she potentially contaminate the arrays with subconscious intent for success. Thubyrgeim and Takeke had the necessary experience to prevent that.

(The ideal would have been to have a student summon each carbuncle, one who wasn’t as experienced as any of them, but that presented the problem of student inexperience potentially overloading the rubies if they weren’t in fact suitable for summoning.)

Thubyrgeim summoned the first carbuncle, drawing the key array in the air with her stylus. Aether chimed brightly, and Synnove tasted ash briefly on her tongue—

--and then a ruby carbuncle tumbled out of the air, primly landing at Thubyrgeim’s feet.

Mhaslona pumped her fist. Synnove bit down, hard, on her lower lip, to keep from squealing.

The carbuncle was summarily dismissed, and the guildmistress and head of aetherophysics continued. One by one, ruby carbuncles twirled into existence, noses twitching and tails fluttering.

The sixth ruby, however, failed to manifest. Thubyrgeim frowned thoughtfully, handing it off to Takeke, The lalafell hummed, taking out her loupe to give it another examination. After a few minutes, she put the loupe away and took out her summoning stylus, but she, too, was unable to get a carbuncle to manifest.

Synnove’s shoulders slumped. The chances of each one being successful were low, but still…

After a bell of work, each ruby had been tested: eleven successes, four failures.

Thubyrgeim lost her stern guildmistress’s façade, a smiling blooming across her face. “Now that, I believe, is a quite acceptable result. I would like you to run a few more experiments to see if we can replicate the ratio of passes to fails, but so far I believe we’re on track to adopting artificial aether infusion to address our growing needed for carbuncle foci.”

Synnove whooped, unable to contain herself, as Mhaslona pounded her back in congratulations. “Thank you, Guildmistress!”

“Thank you, Synnove. You’ve been working on this project for years now, and it’s delightful to see the fruits of your research.”

Ninjago post crystalized HC

-Therapy (I was considering only writing that and posting lol)

-Everyone starts finally settling down and a couple of the ninja are even looking into college courses since a lot of their technical skills revolve around fighting and they're kinda sick of that.

-I like to think Jay and Nya open up a mechanic shop together with some silly name like Electric Wave or something along those lines.

-Pixal starts working with Cyrus Borg again

-I think Zane should be an EMT or something like that, since he can asses wounds and work really quickly and has endless knowledge in his database so I think it fits

-Cole probably takes a bit to figure out what he wants to do but I could honestly see him going into psychology since he's pretty empathetic and a chill dude (bestie literally made friends with a snow monster and some dude who'd been a ghost for centuries I think he's got the skill)

-Kai was kinda hard ngl but I think that since he's seemingly ending up with Skylor maybe he helps out at the noodle house? Honestly I'm not sure Kai is tricky for me.

-Lloyd goes into law to some degree, HERE ME OUT, he totally seems like the type who still wants to defend innocents and those who have been wronged and what better way to do that (that doesn't involve ninja powers) I could totally see him fighting so hard for like kids and stuff since his childhood was pretty jacked up too.

-Wu and Misako probably start adventuring again, though more for fun and not looking for answers to anything, it's just to learn more about the world.

-I think it would be funny if Garmadon got a painfully mundane job in an office, like a data entry person or some shit like that would be so funny (like imagine "Oh you need that done? Yeah go ask Folson" and then you find out "Folson" is fucking GARAMDON who's just like chilling at his desk with coffee like "What do you want?")

-Lloyd reconnects with some of his old friends and while they're still a little bedazzled by him but still

-The ninja probably do a couple interviews after Crystalized kinda finally sharing how they really feel and people are shocked how scared their hero's have been this entire time.

-The ninja totally compare scars, like "Dude I got my face scar from literally being turned into a ghost, it's cooler than yours" or "Are lightning scars cool if I accidentally did it myself?"

-Lloyd starts reconnecting with his father again and slowly but surly the man Garmadon once was begin to shine through bit by bit, not fully but clearly he's there.

-Cole helps with reconstruction once his powers start coming back

-They all meet up when they can to do something fun together

-In addition to the last prompt: Sometimes they need to get some energy out and they're like "I need to fight" and they get together to absolutely pummel each other to get the fight out until the next time (Zane has totally recorded a couple of these fights, a particularly flasy one between Kai and Cole is in fact on the internet and people go nuts over it)

-They all pick up hobbies to relax a little: Kai-wood burning Lloyd-felting Zane-baking (he still does it to wind down) Cole-crocheting Nya-knitting (her and Cole fight over which is better by) Jay-skating Pixal-drawing

-Garmadon get's more plants, him and Vinny's new place has the nicest front and back garden and the oxygen in their house is CRISP

-Cyrus Borg kinda adopts Zane like "I already have one nindroid child, what's one more?" they totally have family dinners and I'd like to imagine Pixal's partner (idk who but it's not Zane cause like sibling dynamic> anything) and Cole just kinda siting there with three super geniuses and the two are just like "I forget what I have for lunch sometimes"

-Everyone starts to heal and the world is better... at least until this new show (whether I think of it as cannon is dependent on how much I like it lol)

On March 7th 1744, the world's first golf club was founded in Edinburgh.

Originally called The Gentlemen Golfers of Leith, this is one of the world’s oldest golfing societies, founded in 1744 by a group of men who played on a five-hole course at Leith, which wasn't officially part of Edinburgh back then.

In 1795 the Club applied to the Lord Provost, the Magistrates and Council of the City of Edinburgh for a Charter. This was granted on March 26th 1800 together with a Seal of Clause under the new title of 'The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers'.

In that year the group petitioned the city officials of Edinburgh for a silver club to be awarded to the winner of a golf competition. It further established the earliest known rules of the game, a code of 13 articles recorded in its first minute book. They were adopted almost without change in 1754 by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, later to become the governing body for the sport here.

The Honourable Company later transferred its activities farther east to the town of Musselburgh and then to the Muirfield course, with which it has been associated in modern times. The club only allowed men to join until it voted to accept female members in 2017.

The original rules of the game which were;

You must Tee your Ball within a Club's length of the Hole.

Your Tee must be upon the Ground.

You are not to change the Ball which you Strike off the Tee.

You are not to remove Stones, Bones, or any Break Club for the sake of playing your Ball except upon the fair Green, and that only within a Club's length of your Ball.

If your Ball come among watter, or any wattery filth, you are at liberty to take out your Ball & bringing it behind the hazard, and Teeing it, you may play it with any Club and allow your Adversary a Stroke for so getting out your Ball.

If your Balls be found any where touching one another, You are to lift the first Ball, till you play the last.

At Holing, you are to play your Ball honestly for the Hole, and not to play upon your Adversary's Ball not lying in your way to the Hole.

If you should lose your Ball by its being taken up, or any other way, you are to go back to the Spot where you struck last, & drop another Ball and allow your Adversary a Stroke for the misfortune.

No man at Holing his Ball is to be allowed to mark his way to the Hole with his club or anything else.

The first competition was won by John Rattray, an Edinburgh surgeon – but only 12 people entered, all locals, and only 10 played. Open entry stopped in 1764 when it was limited to members of the Honourable Company.

When the Society of St Andrews Golfers wrote their version in 1754 only one change occurred – a ball in "watery filth" at Edinburgh must be teed and at St Andrews it was to be dropped.

Rule XIII mentions 'Scholars holes' and 'Soldiers lines'. There were "Scholars' bunkers" in St Andrews but there were no "Soldiers' lines"

If you are familiar with the game of golf you will see that the above rules are still the bones of the game. But situations arose which were not covered and modifications had to be made.

As a belated Apprecimaytion entry for @bg3-apprecimaytion's amazing event, I would like to bring you the sweet little dragon ladies having a snack for prompt 31: cheese, with a guest star, the squirrel plushie!

Adorable little white-blue glistening girl, Crystal is from "Small Crystal" by Gothic_Bloodstain and the bigger faded copper-red lady, Torimgetih is from my fic "Fool's Copper". This is a bit after their canon stories, thus Tori and little Crystal('s horns) are bigger now. Both fics are different takes on "what if Astarion adopts a tiny dragon?" idea we had on our discord server.

I always have an immensly huge sweet spot for Crystal's story, which is the wholesomest dadstarion take, but with a twist of it not being a child, but a tiny dragon. She is adorable, little baby of a dragon with an appetite of an ancient dragon, and I love her for it! Astarion does take good care of her. 💙 You can definitely say she is spoiled rotten with her sweet play room, full of toys and food, that needs restrictions due to her weight consideration.

Torimgetih is my (usually) sophisticated young, teenager aged dragon lady with some issues. But in case of her as well, her version of Astarion will need to slowly warm up to the mute, strangely small dragon.

Since @cinnamontails-ff 's "Like Two Dragons in The Rain" fic for Apprecimaytion event, they live rent free in my mind! Tori would be the protective big sister of her tiny protectee and her squirrel plushie. As Cin's fic predicts, they would get together from time to time, having their Astarions cause havoc in the city while they are having flight and Draconic speech training. 💙

ORCZY'S FAN FICTION RECOMMENDATIONS

For following Fandoms: Varian and the 7 kingdoms, Lego monkie kid, JRWI riptide

Hi there! I tought I would share some of my favourite fanfictions I've read since April last year, as sort of a recap and also recommendations. These are all longer stories btw, ranging from 78K to  236K words. Hope you find something that piques your interest :D

-Varian's Tangled Trials by IFoundYouJustineTime and TheArtistsMuse A complete Vat7k story adapting the original creators' plot points into an amazing, 24 chapters (episodes) long fic that reads like an actual cartoon. If you're new to Vat7k or Tangled The Series, or even if you haven't seen the latter (like me), you WILL enjoy this. If you like a fun adventure with a bunch of nerds as a found family, this is for you.

-What Summer Meant to You -If I Really Hated you (and I really, really do) both by Battybatzgirl First one's a battle of the bands/modern AU, second is an AU where the boys are rival engineers, both focusing on the ship Varigo. The writing style is what made me stay and read these to the end. Incredibly funny and entertaining to read, the way Varian and Hugo are characterised is just. So good. If you like a well written, lighthearted, romantic comedy, this is for you. (Both include some skippable adult scenes, but the story is much more about the romance)

-Making End's Meet by Meltthepoint As the author's name suggest, this is a melting point (Donella x Ulla) story, set in a modern setting. Donella enrolls Hugo into this new school, who then befriends Varian. Ulla and Donella meet again. This is about how two women make up and start anew after their lives went into directions they didn't want. The story is much more character focused, a really fun read. Very insightful about the women's characters. An exception, as I still haven't finished reading it. Definitely not the type of fic I can binge read, but I'm really enjoying it.

At the end of everything by Squirrelflight A Night in the woods AU (haven't played the game, you don't have to, to read it), and unfinished as of yet, but man. Worth checking out! Unlike the stories above, this one's definitely darker and has a really tense aura. Love it. The writing is so good it makes me so thrilled about what will happen next! I also really like, once again, the characterisation.

-You can stay here by KALL A pre canon story about how Pigsy and Tang adopt MK, how MK gets to be in a safe environment and starts figuring himself out. Great writing style, entertaining plot, what more could I ask for? (maybe an update lol) As of yet, unfinished, and hasn't been updated since late 2022. The author actually posted ( https://www.tumblr.com/its-kall-the-clown/735524530668371968/are-you-going-to-be-updating-any-fics-on-your-ao3 ) about wanting to rewrite the story sometime. Which is great! In case you're reading this, take as long as you want!

-A garden across our collarbone by PittedPeaches Spicynoodle soulmate AU where what you write, or in MK's case, draw on your skin, appears on the soulmate's skin as well. Red Son's journey of (very slowly, this is a slowburn) falling in love with MK. A lot of inner monologues, the story plays out more like a retelling of what happened from Red Son's perspective. Kind of like a diary entry and I LOVE IT. I actually didn't understand the pairing before reading this, nor was I that invested in Red Son's character. This fic changed everything. (it also sends you good luck if you read it on the train! I acquired: friends!)

RIPTIDE

-BREAKING FREE! by earlgray_milktea A fish 'n chips Highschool Musical AU (another thing I haven't seen, you don't need to, to read this). The writing is so undoubtedly Disney, it is at times so over the top dramatic, you can't help but smile at half the interactions. The charm is big on this one. The characters are exagerated but somehow not (completely) out of character. Basically if Riptide was on Disney, this is exactly how they'd act. Also it's just really, really cute.

-Depths of Natarus by goldpines Chip Mermaid AU set in an Undersa/Oversea war, focusing on Fish n Chips as well as Jay Ferin (my girl!). Two reasons why you should read this right now. First: the descriptions are SO detailed and immersive! It made me also kinda have a crush on Gillion Tidestrider. How. Second: it made me care about Jay. And the way she's written here is just so so great. You can tell the author knows what they're doing, the feels just keep coming, I alost teared up multiple times. This story makes you feel a lot of emotions at once, an overall amazing reading experience.

And these were my favs since last April. Specifically the ones that made me go absolutely insane. In a good way. Again, if you have any good recommendations (preferably longer stories, but shorter ones are also fine), please feel free to share them.
