I really like your art and how the color schemes seem to match the personalities of the characters. They always look so crisp with the right amount of style on character positioning.

I always thought it was really cool how you managed to have so much detailed backstories and world building, alongside managing to create pictures and comics to go along with the chapters and stories you write. It has been really inspirational!

Although, funny, enough, I have been thinking about asking you if you had any preferences on sources to start researching universal aviation codes and the differences in between civilian and military planes, jets, helicopters, and airships, and which you think might sound better when used by militaries vs civilians. I think I am going to have to do a lot of studying on IATA, ICAO, PAT, Mode-S, VFR, and transponders, as well as codes used in towered vs non towered airports. I feel like I am going to have to do a lot of study on aviation and plane/jet/drone schematics for future chapters.

is it weird to say that i really like sybil's happy trail.......... i think more girls should have happy trails. because it makes me happy. very yummy character trait. i don't know how to ask for more of it. i'll pray for more sybil moments that can show off the happy trail. thank you

it's not weird at all! i think it's very cute but also p hot. i like happy trails. hence why i draw them (and mod on my wol). and just kind messages like this make me want to draw them even more now

I drew some of Pit's fabulous adorable poses from his battle cry in Chapter 5. I love him so much.

There were more, by the way, but I got tired after inking and coloring two. Have all five sketches under the cut:

Have you ever wanted to draw something but you fought due to your skill level at the time you decide not to do it

Oh, god yes, plenty of times.

I would stay up late, hunched over at my desk, volumes of manga held open with one hand, pencil shakily mimicking lines into my sketchbook in the other, under the heat of only a clip lamp cuz it was a school night and I didn’t want my parents to know I was still up.

I would feel so frustrated I wanted to cry because what I was doing wasn’t coming out like I wanted, and I didn’t know why. I’d drop drawing for months out of irritation and spite, looking at everyone else’s art on DeviantArt jealously, wondering why I couldn’t just draw really nice looking things like them.

But I always came back to drawing, because despite everything I just said, it’s the only thing I’ve ever felt good at, and even when I wasn’t good at it, there was something about it that made me want to keep chipping away at it. Then, little by little, I stopped comparing myself so much to others, and my own style began to come through, and the process felt more weightless.

Even now there’s a lot of things I’m not good at drawing because I haven’t practiced them enough, specifically animals, perspective, color theory…but I decided I’m just gonna do it anyway and learn as I go and even if there’s a spot I’m not happy with, I’m just gonna let it be, cuz it’ll be better next time.

So I hope you keep trying, and know that it’s just something that comes with time, and don’t forget that it’s supposed to be fun. So even if what you’re trying right now isn’t coming out the way you want, do and post it anyway, and have a good time~
