A/n: Yes, I know the setup is very similar to Love is in the air, but I couldn't care less lol.

Word count: 938

Prompt: "He's so pretty I think I'm gonna faint."

Dwayne is very pretty in the glow of your campfire, and it messes with your head.

The smell of burnt sugar filled your nose as Paul yelped, then started cursing. He had been working on roasting the perfect marshmallow, carefully keeping watch to make it just right. However, when you looked over, his stick was tipped over, right into the campfire, his marshmallow lying sad and abandoned in between the charred logs. Paul himself was already further down the beach, chasing after a cackling Marko. His shout of “I’ll get you, you little shit” and his brother’s booming laughter flew back to you with the light summer breeze.

You just finished eating your own sweet snack, and thanked the gods – and Marko – for finding packs of marshmallows among the belongings of the unfortunate college guys you fed on for dinner. Ironically enough, they were also camped out around their own fire on the complete other end of the beach. You all figured it would be a shame to let those goodies go to waste. Morally questionable? Absolutely. But morals go out the window the minute you start tearing people’s throats out.

You noticed that the bag you’ve been sharing with Star had run out, so you motioned over to Dwayne. He was sitting across from you on the other side of the fire, the bag of marshmallows between him and David still half full. He took one out and tossed it over the flames, and you grinned as you perfectly caught it with one hand.

“Nice throw,” you commented.

“Nice catch,” he turned it right back at you. You would be lying if you said your stomach didn’t flutter at his words and the half smile that accompanied them. You averted your eyes in embarrassment, and busied yourself with securely putting your marshmallow onto your stick instead.

Yes, you had a massive crush on him. It was an undeniable fact that you tried to suppress as much as possible. You had no idea how it would play out if you confessed to him. If he rejected you, you couldn’t live it down. Not to mention all the teasing you would receive from the boys. So you kept it to yourself, swooning over him in your head like a lovesick teenager.

Paul and Marko returned and started to tell an elaborate story of some guy they saw on the boardwalk the day before as if nothing happened, the whole marshmallow fiasco quickly forgotten. The others watched them with amusement as they played out the whole scenario. Meanwhile, you were watching Dwayne.

The evening breeze caught strands of his hair, swaying them gently, and you felt a sudden need to run your fingers through them to see if they were as soft as you imagined. He looked positively majestic with the warm glow of the flames painting his skin a rich golden hue, their light twinkling in his dark eyes, giving them a playful glint. And then the edges of his lips turned upwards, breaking into a huge smile and laughter filled the air as the others cracked up at something Marko said.

He just so happened to turn to you at that moment, eyes still crinkling at the corners and the air left your lungs as you were struck by his beauty. It was hard to believe someone can be so effortlessly beautiful. You wished you could capture this moment with all of its sounds and smells, so you could come back later and drown in it; with him looking at you like that, all smiles and shining eyes, the echo of his laughter still in your ears.

“Dammit, he’s so pretty I think I’m gonna faint.”

It was unconscious. You didn’t even realize you said it out loud until you noticed Star turn to look at you from the corner of your eye. You turned to her, eyes wide when you saw her amused expression. In the next second, her smile turned mischievous. You knew what she was about to do, and you started shaking your head like crazy. Still looking into your eyes, she spoke up loud and clear.

“You know, if you stared at Dwayne any more, I would be concerned for your eyes falling out of your head.”

The silence was deafening. And the more it stretched on, the more you were sweating. In the end it was Paul who broke the tension.

“Finally someone said it! I thought I would go crazy if something didn’t happen soon,” he threw his hands in the air.

“Wait, what? You knew?” You were so surprised, you even forgot to deny it.

“You aren’t exactly subtle,” David commented while taking a drag of his cigarette.

“Yeah, dude, you were practically salivating every time you looked at him. It was pretty obvious,” Marko added and you wanted to die.

Hesitantly, you turned to Dwayne.

“Did you know too?”

He just nodded silently.

“Why didn’t you say anything?”

“I figured you would tell me when you’re ready.” His eyes were so soft as he looked at you. It warmed your heart, and your embarrassment slowly started to die down.

“So, what now?” you asked.

A smile grew on his lips that was definitely flirtatious.

“We can start with you coming closer,” he said and patted the sand beside him.

You face felt hot as you gaped at him for a moment before getting up and plotting yourself down next to him. Dwayne immediately threw an arm over your shoulder, bringing you to his side and it just felt right. You couldn’t wash the dopey grin off your face for the rest of the evening, not even when Marko shouted at you two to get a room.

“The Rock, took to instagram last week following up with a very entertaining rock concert, too bad he didn’t wanna be here tonight..” the crowd booed “Rock referred to himself as our favorite heel..?” Cody’s voice echoed throughout the arena talking & saying “The nature boy rick flair was a heel. Rock..I don’t think you’re a heel I think you’re an asshole..” Cody scowled directly into the Camera while standing inside the ring as if you two were making eye contact despite the fact you were backstage watching this all go down on the tv that laid against the wall of his dressing room.

“Haven’t you been crying behind the scenes this whole time? I mean once that hashtag came out once they started chanting something else, you went and CRIED to your buddies on the TKO board ‘HEY HEY! This is gonna be some good pr for the rock I need to save wwe’ god knows look at thise house we sure needed saving right?! He said it’s gonna be this great pr for the rock until it wasn’t..” Cody ranted while circling around staring directly at the live camera & you immediately noticed that he was beginning to fire himself up the more he spoke.

“Rock, the TKO folks said to you oh my gosh yes rock yes put on your gucci shirt your muscles will look so big YES YES YES YES! The reason they said it is because they are YES people they are enablers they don’t tell you like it is, so I’m going to.” Cody scoffed as he went on another tangent on how he could admit many things on the Rock but then he pissed himself off so much to the point where he started becoming more verbally agressive “Rock you are also a terrible Salesman a carny succubus and for those who don’t know what that means..Your a whiney BITCH.” He snapped.

Y/N sat in the dressing room staring directly into the fury of his eyes right through the television screen, all this talk about the rock had genuinely started becoming angering to him & bothersome that he somehow managed to upset himself the more he spoke. “You haven’t been in the ring in real time action in YEARS! And April 6th the BELL is gonna ring! What happens rock when it rings? Are you gonna have all that Big Dwayne Energy or LDS?! Little. DICK. Syndrome!” He shouted while all of the fans within the arena started Chanting, Cheering, Shouting waving around their signs while even the announcers chuckled to themselves.

For the rest of his promo he continued ranting, shouting & even going as far as making a sudden deal with The Wiseman Paul Heyman, threatening to pull a Homelander & rip out his throat if he didn’t get to the point which left Paul a little shocked. Once his promo for the night was finished You immediately left the dressing room just as he rushed his way backstage huffing and puffing mumbling with Jey & then approaching you hut you held up your hands that lightly knocked against his chest about to speak but you shook your head

“Cody I can tell you’re pissed off, You upset your own self just by talking about Dwayne alone & before You do anything like take off the suit, get comfortable, go to the bus I need you to grab some water & take a breath.” You spoke softly as you noticed his hands were shaking in irritation and inner rage before he took a deep breath & exhaled while nodding.

“Good. Now let’s get you out of that suit & into the bus before Pharaoh looses his mind..” you pat his shoulder while you two went to the dressing room. You helped him get undressed and for a moment he just legit stood there with boxers on ranting his heart out “Had the nerve on him to mention MY mother y/n and complain about me shedding ONE tear ONE SINGULAR TEAR but this entire time he’s bitching and WHINING to TKO” he started shouting a bit while you folded his suit & packed it away. You turned around & started shushing him softly and pat his chest “Baby your yelling, Settle down okay? I know your pissed hell I would be do if someone talked about my parents like that. But I need you to lower your voice, your throats gonna go raw. Like Monday.”

Cody chuckled at the corny joke you had made to help cheer him up while pulling him into a warm hug as you practiced deep breathes with him “Thank you sweetheart I don’t know what i’d do without you.” You smiled shrugging “I don’t know either.” He snorted and pressed a kiss against your lips “alright now pipe down a bit.” You laughed before giving him one more kiss.

Cody was not an easily angered man, until things like his parents or loved ones getting mentioned but when he had You around? He was going to go a long way when you knew how to calm down in the right ways.

All of the boys are romantic in their own ways, but David’s definitely the closest to a classic type of lover. Expect red roses, a gift that he got, and a romantic dinner date to end the evening. 

If you decide to get something for him, he’s going to love it. Even if his reaction is simple or small, just know that it means a lot to him, especially if it’s something he can wear or carry with him; he has it on him all the time. 

He may not usually be the most openly affectionate, but on an occasion like this, he’s making sure you feel loved by him; you're one of the most important people in his life as his partner. If he’s going to go all out, he’s going to do it right. 

Given he seems like the type to enjoy more intimate moments away from an overly public atmosphere, the date and your time with him are more secluded and one-on-one. He’s got a special spot picked out for the evening, and it’s only the best, of course. 

If you're not already a vampire at this point, then expect at least an attempt from David to try and turn you, because what better opportunity would he have to do that than Valentine’s Day?

If any of the boys are giving you a perfect Valentine’s Day, it’s Dwayne.

If you're not already smothered by Paul’s love on a normal day, expect it to be amplified by almost triple on Valentine’s Day. 

From the moment you wake up, Paul is giving you anything and everything he has and could have possibly gotten you for Valentine’s Day. Expect teddy bears, chocolate, roses—you name it, he’s bought it. He’d pick you flowers he found on one of his bike rides or find trinkets he’d think you’d like too, as well as other small gifts. 

Whatever you decide to give to him, he’s going to love, and he’ll definitely show it. He’ll show off whatever you got for him to the other boys too and brag for a long time. 

He’s definitely taking you on a date to the boardwalk to get food, play games, and go on rides together. He’s the type to want to share one milkshake with two straws or ride a Ferris wheel just to make out for most of the ride. 

Despite all the gifts and cute dates, it’s Paul, and what would the literal day of love be without sex? Of course he would love doing all the other things, even if you didn’t want to have it, but if you let him, he’ll have you under him all night. To say the least, by the morning, you're going to have sore muscles and bruised skin from where he’s left his mark on you.

Marko: 

Valentine’s Day is definitely one of Marko's favourite holidays to celebrate, especially with you. He’s a romantic guy, and he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to show you his love. 

The date he’s planned would include going for a ride on his bike along the beach, later grabbing food and just being able to walk under the moonlight while hanging out together, laughing and smiling.

Marko would get you something like chocolates and cute cards, but he would also try to make you a gift. I mean, look at his jacket; he’s a craftsy guy. He would put a lot of effort into the project, even if it ended up not turning out like he wanted it to, but it’s the thought that counts, at least. 

He’d adore any gift you give him, but time with you is just as valuable to him.

Similarly to Paul, sex is something on his mind, and given the chance, he’d go down on you all night if you let him.

Paul followed behind , whining slightly. Even more like a puppy ; just lost and needy now.

“Pauly you’re really that desperate?” Marko laughed before turning to see his brothers reactions ; Dwayne loomed closer than before , a needy yet dominate glint hung in his eyes meanwhile David was practically clawing at his chair, desperation and lust causing him to whine beneath the weight of your hotness.

I couldn't help but watch the elders and how they dealt with each other. All of us had long since gotten used to this post-divorce world we lived in. Mama came in and told us a story about how Father Winter came to their house in Sulani while she was doing belly laughs. He thought it was adorable and gave her some tips! And just like how it happened in her story, Father Winter walked in on her doing a belly laugh demo for us.

"Thank you, Father Winter! This is my son, Luca! He's getting married soon!"

"Yes," he said, "I've been watching him. He's been very good this year. This is one of my extra special gifts."

I didn't know what to think. An extra special gift from Mama, and another from The Man himself? And I was getting married in three days to the kindest, sweetest, funniest woman in the world? It was all too much. I thought about everything I'd gone through and how burdened and confused I was. All of that was a test. I held on and did the best I could, and now I was being rewarded. Not with a gift from Father Winter, but in love, success, favor, and friendship. I had already reckoned with my problems, but at that moment, I felt like the struggle was officially over.

You and the boys were gathered in the main room of the cave, having an impromptu meeting. You were combing through his soft strands for a while, working out little knots here and there when one of your fingers accidentally brushed against his neck. You could hear his breath hitch. If it had been any other time, Paul would have been on you by now. You knew what you were doing to him, and he knew that David would get irritated if you didn’t listen to him. But you were feeling a bit cheeky. Giving a quick look to the others, seeing whether they were paying attention, you leaned forward and pressed a small peck just below his ear. He softly gasped, then when you pressed another kiss down his neck he let out a small moan. This earned both of you a look from David. You blinked at him innocently, leaned back and went back to playing with Paul’s hair. He turned his head and looked at you with mischievous eyes.

“You naughty girl” he whispered with a flirty smirk. He was definitely getting back on you for this later, and you couldn’t wait. You answered with a smirk of your own.

You went back to listening, or more like pretending to listen to the others talk. Then another idea struck you. You started applying more pressure with your fingertips, massaging his scalp. You could literally see Paul melt between your legs. He leaned into your touch more, softly groaning, and you were just smiling fondly, enjoying seeing your lover this relaxed.

“Are you two even listening?” David’s voice broke you out of your stupor, bringing you back to the cave from your own little world. Your hands stopped mid-stroke.

“What?” You both asked at the same time, looking up at the boys. David was giving you an exasperated look, Marko and Dwayne sharing knowing smiles behind his back. It was no secret that you and Paul couldn’t keep your hands off each other.

“Yes, sir” you saluted and Paul burst out in a fit of giggles. David just let out a sigh, facepalming.

“Your moms a reallll fire cracker.” He grinned as Ivey just smiled & cooed at him. Weeks passed since that day and it was finally Monday Night Raw 03/25/24. Milena sat in the bus with their daughter & her mother Jasmine. They all watched the event from the tv attached to the bus but just as Cody was in the middle of his promo Dwayne had stolen the moment & having a staring contest with Cody before whispering something to him. Milena raised a brow & rolled her eyes as she continued watching the TV until it was time to tuck in Ivey for bed while Milena suddenly started turning back to the TV noticing a backstage segment of her son in law getting into a scuffle before Dwayne once again appeared but full blown attacking Cody

“Look at you now Huh?! You thought the rock was gonna let you talk trash for the last two weeks!? HUH?” Jasmine held a hand over her mouth “Oh my god?!” Jasmine gasped making Milena walk out on time and see her husband being tossed around on television “You’re kidding me..” Milena held Ivey close & tried covering her daughter’s eyes but she was to squirmy while Milena saw Dwayne stand outside of their exact bus yelling about chicago and tossed cody around

Dwayne kicked her husband around in the rock “You wanna be a hero? How about this! You son of a bitch the rocks got your hero.” And quickly heard a loud thud against the vehicle “and mama rhodes. Milena was finally fed up & instructed her mom to stay in the bus handing Ivey over to her grandmother while Milena went to Cody’s aid.

“Milena absolutely no-“ Jasmine watched as her daughter picked up an extension cord “Milena that could kill him!!” Milena glared “I’m not gonna kill him mom I’m just gonna make him back off!” Milena spole as she kicked open the door causing Dwayne to perk up a bit “You need a woman to defend you? Huh?” He mumbled towards Cody for a moment while backing up a little bit while Milena approached him clearly furious “Who in the absolute FUCK do you think you are?! You keep his goddamn family out of his mouth goddamnit & your not about to smash my husband against a goddamn bus where his DAUGHTER is inside of it!” She shouted while Dwayne held out his hands grinning.

“Sweetheart you’re to pretty to be dealing with this alright? Leave it to the men.” Milena tilted sn eyebrow while noticing a cameraman still rolling. “You wanna embarrass my fucking man on camera and talk to me like that? You must not know who the hell I am. So let me show you.” Just as Dwayne was going to speak she punched him square in the jaw and kicked him in the crotch before shoving herself behind him and untied the extension cord from her wrist before yanking it against his throat and wrapping the parts she was holding against her knuckles while mocking him with his own words “Look at you now! Look at you rock! You’re getting your ass beat by a woman, Cody Rhodes wife at that. Embarrassed aren’t you?”

Cody groaned against the bus and didn’t bother stopping Milena, She finally tugged the cord away from Dwayne & eventually kicked the man on the ground & dug her boot against his head “We’ll see you Friday Dwayne.” She kicked him in the face before snatching the camera away from the cameraman and held it over Dwayne’s bloody face while he coughed “This is your guys’ Final boss? Cody was right about him being a whiney little bitch, look at him, all bark and got his ass beat by a woman. How embarrassing.” She shoved the camera back to the man before snickering and walked back towards Cody & Helping him up and frowning at the sight “Jesus Cody…” he shook his head holding the side of his chest while she took him inside of the bus & her mother help clean off any blood.

“Your gonna beat his ass at mania am I understood?” Cody chuckled in amusement while his wife pressed a bandaid against his cuts & scrapes while he nodded weakly “sweetheart..” “I don’t care what we need to do but whether you like it or not you’re going to beat his ass.” He smiled tiredly and held Milena’s face “Copy that.” Milena’s mother sighed & gave him water after coming back from tucking Ivey into bed “You have to prove him wrong now Cody.” She spoke before Cody nodded & eventually called it a night.

Friday Night rolled around and everyone took notice to many things within the Rhodes family. Milena tweeted something about how Dwayne should get better security while Dustin insulted the man. Cody has been absolutely silent on social media, Milena had been planning a slight comeback since the last time fans saw her within WWE was before she was pregnant with Ivey and she was planning something VERY special for smackdown. Tonight Dwayne was doing a promo & stood in the ring “Cody’s entire family are a bunch of sorry ass clown emoji’s including his loud tacky wife & goofy ass dog. I’m sure you all saw raw right?? Let me tell you what’s tacky. And what’s tacky is you have the absolute nerve to go in live television embarrass my man & taunt his mother well let me tell you something Dwayne. Milena saw Jey & Seth laugh over something making her walk over towards them while Cody went to the dressing room to check up on Milena’s mom & Ivey “Where the fuck were you two when Cody needed help huh?!” Jey froze for a minute “woah wai-“ “You know how many times Cody has jumped the gun to save your asses from problems you’ve started but lack to solve every single time?” Jey awkwardly scratched his neck “Now I understand Seth because he has to be here for Becky & he has to watch out for Roux and I get that, Hell Cody just went to go check on Ivey, but you Jey?! I thought you always had his back.

“Okay woa- Mel I do have his back! I mean c’mon sis I’ll always defend him no matter what girl!.” She glared in his eyes shaking her head “So where were you on Monday when that entire ordeal was filmed on live television throughout the Arena? I know you saw it and you were here for raw so what the fuck?” Jey stood in silence while guilt wavered over his face “Goodnight Jey.” Milena spoke before walking bak to Cody’s dressing room & putting on a smile when she saw him tickling Ivey while she held his tie “look at you wrapping your dada up around your finger.” She cooed while kissing her daughter’s cheek “Where’d you go off to?” She shrugged “Just talking to jey.” Cody nodded with a smile before giving her a kiss until she pulled away humming.

tlb characters as dcoms (that i have seen):

michael: teen beach 2 (2015). i like the original movie better but i think this one fits michael's vibes better for the weirdly melancholic feeling throughout the entire film. the combination of impending doom with fun beach music really makes sense for him.

star: invisible sister (2015) i think that star would love the main character of this movie since they're both weird girls who're kind of mean and standoffish. also she'd appreciate the cozy halloween energy that this movie has.

david: read it and weep (2006). to be honest i don't think this movie would be my choice for david if not for the notable element of the main character having vivid fight club style hallucinations of a cooler, meaner version of herself that she talks to throughout the film. that and she's kind of a terrible person for a 15 year old which i think fits david well.

dwayne: the thirteenth year (1999). i had a really hard time picking a movie for dwayne and honestly this one is just based on vibes. the energy of this movie is bizarre and i think it fits him, as well as the theme song which sounds like absolute ass but i still get stuck in my head sometimes.

marko: radio rebel (2012). to be honest i don't think marko would like any dcoms cause they're way too commercial for him, but i do feel like he'd end up buying into the phony reject authority message of this movie and by the end thinks that maybe in high school he also should've thrown a morp (anti prom that's just prom spelled backwards).

paul: stepsister from planet weird (2000). i think that paul would like sci fi in general, and he'd enjoy the bizarre sci fi aspects of this movie, especially since they never really try and explain the technicalities of anything. he also genuinely thinks the stepdad in this movie is hot.

sam: princess protection program (2009). there's a lot of bitchy energy in this movie which fits sam well. also the plot being a combination of girls learning to become friends + an active military coup. my honorable mention pick for sam is minutemen (2008).

edgar: mom's got a date with a vampire (2000). even putting this movie on the list kind of feels like cheating since it's so heavily inspired by the lost boys, but also i couldn't think of another movie that fits edgar more.

alan: cadet kelly (2002). i feel mean putting this one on the list at all but i couldn't make this post without putting this "hillary duff learns to love military school" movie as one of the frog bros, sorry alan :(
