What to Play Next with Eureka.
So, now that the pay-what-you-want/free Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy beta has over 400 downloads at the time of writing this (wow!) and has been up for about 3 weeks, I’m sure at least some people have already played Horror Harry’s Haunted House, the free tutorial adventure module we included with the beta download, and are excited to play more!
To that end, I’ve quickly thrown together a non-comprehensive list of adventure modules to run using Eureka, and where you can find them.
Adventure modules, if you’ve never used them, are a lifesaver for GMs. (And also they’re a different thing from those railroady “adventure paths” and crappy 5e adventures that you might be familiar with.)
Official Eureka Adventures

Horror Harry’s Haunted House
This is an official Eureka adventure module that comes free with the beta linked above. It is a super low-stakes “tutorial” adventure that sees the PCs solving a “murder” in an interactive escape room. The point of this scenario is to be a short and fun way for players to learn the mechanics of Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy without risk of their characters dying.
FORIVA: The Angel Game
This is an official Eureka adventure module by A.N.I.M. currently available only to patreon subscribers. Set in the year 1999, this adventure involves the PCs investigating a mysterious threat targeting teenagers.
The Eye of Neptune
This is an official Eureka adventure module by A.N.I.M. currently available only to patreon subscribers. Set on a skeleton-crewed oil rig in the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, this adventure puts the PCs in a tense situation as members of the crew start to disappear one by one...
Free Call of Cthulhu Adventures
Since we have not had the time (yet) to build up a robust library of official Eureka adventure modules, Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy has been playtested the most by using Call of Cthulhu adventure modules, and it is designed to work well with them. In fact, in many cases it actually plays them better and smoother than Call of Cthulhu itself!
Chapter 7 of the Eureka rulebook covers how to convert an adventure module from another game for use with Eureka, and its super easy! The only thing that will need to be adjusted will be the HP values of monsters and we have a formulae for that.
What's In The Cellar, a super short adventure where the PCs will investigate a mysterious cellar.
Scritch Scratch, there's rats.
The Derelict, set in the modern-day in the icy waters of the North Atlantic, the thought of a substantial salvage reward drives the investigators to attempt to rescue the a stranded ship, but in doing so they attract the attention of a strange and deadly monster.
The Lightless Beacon, the ivestigators are unfortunate passengers on a ship heading for Rockport, Massachusetts, on Monday, April 12th, 1926, the night of the new moon. Due to a malfunction at the lighthouse on Beacon Island, their ship founders on nearby rocks, forcing the investigators to take to a small lifeboat and head to Beacon Island for refuge in the growing storm.
Dead Boarder, a murder investigation, which centers on the discovery of a body in a locked room.
Paid Call of Cthulhu Adventure Modules
Even though they aren’t exactly “indie,” just about any non-WotC company that makes TTRPGs is an ally against the monopoly crushing the entire hobby and art form of TTRPGs, so we would love it if you could support them as well as supporting us. Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy wouldn’t exist without Call of Cthulhu, and especially not without Call of Cthulhu adventure modules! In fact they’re like one of the only “big” names out there that still regularly puts out adventure modules, which seem to be a lost artform seemingly everywhere else despite once being being absolutely synonymous with GMing. They’ve been making new official Call of Cthulhu adventure modules consistently for like forty years, and buying and playing these will encourage them to keep doing that.
New Tales of the Miskatonic Valley (pack of adventures)
The Reeling Midnight, by Tom Lynch. introduces Investigators to Arkham's truly decadent party scene. (I've played this one, pretty good.)
Wasted Youth, by Christopher Smith Adair, explores the roots of juvenile delinquency, culminating in a wild chase through the wilderness.
Spirit of Industry,by Oscar Rios, takes Investigators to the village of Dunwich, where they explore old murders and an ancient mystery.
Proof of Life,by Keith Herber, is a tale of extortion and madness in the Lovecraft Country town of Foxfield.
Malice Everlasting,by Oscar Rios, expores Kingsport and old grudges.
The Night War,by Kevin Ross, sees the author of Kingsport, City in the Mists, revisit his creation when a veteran of the Great War is suddenly haunted by deadly nightmares.
A Mother's Love, by Seth Skorkowsky, author of the Valducan series, takes us to the hidden town Innsmouth, with all its squalor, dangers, and dark corruption in a brand new scenario for New Tales of the Miskatonic Valley, 2nd Edition. (I've played this one, pretty good.)
The Things We Leave Behind (pack of adventures)
Ladybug, Ladybug, Fly Away Home, by Jeff Moeller. The investigators search for an abducted child in suburban Cleveland, Ohio, where time becomes a serious concern.
Forget Me Not, by Brian M. Sammons. An accident in a TV truck in rural Michigan sees the investigators awake in a ditch with no recollection of how they got there.
Roots, by Simon Brake. Inquiries into a missing teen will teach the investigators that some mid-west communities prefer to be left alone.
Hell in Texas, by Scott Dorward. After a suicide at a church's east Texas Halloween haunted house, strange events threaten the lives and sanity of all those in the vicinity, including the investigators.
The Night Season, by Jeff Moeller, shows that fandom in Anchorage, Alaska, can go too far when reality begins to shift.
Occam's Razor (pack of adventures)
A Whole Pack of Trouble - a group of film students have gone missing while shooting a found-footage style movie over college break.
Eye of the Beholder - five days ago, a young woman disappeared while working on an art project.
Frozen Footsteps - A Wendigo-obsessed professor heads off to Michigan's Upper Peninsula for some rare (for him) fieldwork and discovers far more than he bargained for.
Dark and Deep - A snuff film is making the rounds in which a woman is mauled to death by a Deep One. Are the film's establishing shots enough to track down the lighthouse was filmed at and get to the bottom of things?
Visions from Beyond - A late-night voicemail left by a friend/relative in need of immediate help followed by them not answering their phone
The Watchers - the investigators are contacted by a single woman who lives alone and is being watched by unknown people.
A Cleansing Flame - Bodies are being discovered, burned to death, with no known fire starter/accelerant present.
Does Love Forgive? (pack of single-PC adventures)
Love You To Death, Chicago: February 15th, 1929. It’s a cold winter’s day when the investigator’s good friend Hattie May appears in their office at the detective agency. Her beloved pet dog, Highball, is scheduled to be destroyed later today and she needs the investigator’s help getting him back from the Chicago Police Department. It doesn’t sound like too difficult a task, does it?
Mask of Desire, New York: September, 1932. The investigator, together with their two close friends Anna Konrad and Lucas Reston, has been invited to a party at wealthy—and notorious—socialite Madame de Tisson’s swanky apartment on the Upper West Side. I just finished my wine cellar and had to realize, that my little simsies aren't getting dirty
from standing knee high in fruits, like they were fruit resistent. Yep, Sims logic after all …
But no more of this nonsense: Now your sims will finally get filthy, while squishing fruits.
Hygene decay was before at 0 while squishing fruits, with this mod it's at 100 (that's about a 1/3 of the total hygene).

on the context menu (righ click menu) select notepad, a text editor opens
look for this line: " and ""
in the line you just located, change this number to your liking: actual="-100"
important: negative values mean hygene decay (getting dirty) and positive value mean hygene gain (getting clean)
important: don't change anything except the number within the qoutation marks

Your TS3 gameplay really does inspire me to give that game another shot. Are there specific mods you use to make sure the game runs smoothly/is stable? What mods/cc are the best to use so the sims look good?

First of all, thank you very much for your ask. Knowing that my sims and/or my gameplay can inspire other simmers to play means a lot to me cause The Sims 3 is my favorite game in the whole Sims series. Plus, I love my sims, so this makes me twice as happy. 🤗💖
That said, it is my duty to warn you that The Sims 3 is not an easy game to maintain, it requires a lot of care and patience, even from the moment of its installation. You ask me what it takes to make it run smoothly and make it stable, well I'm no expert, but what helped me with that is all contained in this Steam post. I believe these tips you can follow even if you don't have your game on Steam. I followed all these steps when I reinstalled my game back in 2017-18, and I have never had a problem like lag or crashes since then.
It's thanks to the amazing person who wrote that post and to talented modders like @lazyduchess and Twallan (Nraas Mods), whose mods I consider indispensable, that I have been able to play The Sims 3 without problems for years now. I may have had a couple of crashes due to some wrong or corrupt cc, but that's on me because I download a lot of stuff. In those cases, it's a matter of locating the bad cc, taking it out, and that's it. The game runs great, even with a ton of mods installed. (I have a 9 GB mods folder, and I've had more than that at times, lol, but I try to keep in less than 10 GB always).
As for what mods and cc's to use to make the sims look good, well, that would depend on your taste, or as they say now, on the aesthetics of your game or your sims.
For what it's worth, I have always used Ephemera's E-WEAK skin as default. I also use some other Ephemera's like E-Skin Natural MIX, Asia and Fresh. I use some by Kurasoberina too.
I think Ephemera's site doesn't exist anymore, but the E-WEAK skins I use can be downloaded on MTS here. Kurasoberina TS3 skins you can find them here along with more of their fabulous content.
I'm sure there are other skins much newer, and super nice too, but these are the ones I use, cause they give my sims the look they are known for. 😊
Also I use Tifa N38 default eyes, as well as Buhudain's You Are Real body and face maps replacements to give some realism to my sims' skins/bodies. Neither Tifa's nor Buhudain's sites exist anymore, unfortunately, but you can still find Buhudain's archives on this SFS page. And those of Tifa in this other one in Mega. (I hope I am not doing wrong by sharing them, otherwise I will remove them).
There's also this stunning version of Buhudain's You are Real by @nectar-cellar named You are Hyperreal. :)
As for the rest, if I start listing all the other content I use such as hair, clothes and makeup I would never finish, I'd gladly share my whole mods folder, but I don't want to piss off the creators, or blow-up other players' computers, lol. I'm WCIF friendly, though, so feel free to ask for any specific content, of any type, CAS or Buy/Build, I got my custom content well documented, so I'll provide you with links to any of them.
For the time being, here is this link to my custom Content List on my Blogger. I have kept this list for many years, and I still use most of that content; it may be a little outdated of course, cause I have a lot of new stuff now, so my intention is to update the page soon when/if I have the time. Also, some of the links may not work anymore, if so just let me know and I'll fix them for you if I'm able.

The Beginners Guide To Buying Used Woodworking Tools
Whether you're an experienced woodworking craftsman or a total rookie you can save money by purchasing used woodworking equipment instead of new tools.
Used woodworking tools still have plenty of useful life left in them and usually are being sold by someone who is looking to find a good home for them.
Where to buy used tools
When looking for used woodworking tools, several sources come to mind.
The first is garage sales and estate sales. Many people buy tools with great intentions but after a few years of the tools collecting dust in the garage or cellar, the original owner is ready to part with them.
That's good news for you because you just know that they have barely been used and the seller needs the cash. The next place I would look is in the local classified ads and the local thrift paper or penny-saver newspaper. Weekend flea markets are another good place to find used tools, and lastly, I would look on eBay.
When buying woodworking tools, be sure to inspect them closely before parting with your money. Yes, there will be some wear on them, but they should not be worn out. Hammer handles should be tight in the hammerhead.
Saws should be still sharp, not bent or missing teeth. Hand planes should have blades without any nicks or gouges. Chisels should not have any deep gouges in the cutting edge (although chisels are fairly easy to get sharpened).
Rulers should have legible markings. If you are buying power tools, be sure to ask the owner to plug them in and demonstrate that they actually work. Don't forget your most important tool and that is your Eye Safety Glasses or goggles!
When buying tools, be sure to buy the tools you need to complete your project. Your woodworking project plans should be telling you what tools and materials you need to complete the project.
Be sure you have the right tools for the job. If you cannot find the tools you need to use, then, by all means, go to your local home improvement store and buy new ones. While you are there, ask the floor person if they have a bargain bin or a section where returned tools are on clearance.
In this slow economy, it's not unusual for people to buy a tool for a home improvement job and then return it when they are done using it. You might pick up a well-used power tool like a circular saw just because someone decided to return it to the store.
By the way, if you have any doubts about what tools you need for your woodworking project, your local home improvement store is a great place to get advice from the pros who are happy to help you.

ATF agents and a trooper showed up at the Delaware home of a man wearing tactical gear and seemingly without a warrant to inspect the guns and log serial numbers. The front door camera caught their request and uploaded it anonymously online.
National File's reporter shared the video via social media, with the caption: "ATF agents and #Delaware state police show up warrantless at the home of a man demanding to see his firearms."

The video shows an agent from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives saying that he was there in order to check if the homeowner had two firearms that he recently purchased.
"All I do is verify that you have it, and you have two different purchases," said the agent, pointing at a document that may show the purchases. "If they are there, I will get you out of here. It's that fast. Yeah. "Do you have them with your by any chance?" asked the agent.
The homeowner replied, "They're in mine safe."
The agent stated, "If you can unload the items and bring them out we can go to your foyer here and check them out, then write the serial numbers, and we're outta here."
The second agent added, "It will only take five seconds."
A third person, who seems to be part of Delaware's state police, explained that "gun violence is on the rise." We want to be sure. We've had a lot of problems with straw purchases. We get a lot of indicators that someone has made a large purchase of guns. Then, a lot of times we have been there and said, "Oh, those guns got stolen."
The idea is that if you buy more than 2 guns at once, it generates multiple sales reports. This report comes to us and we have them checked out. That's it. You did nothing wrong, absolutely zero," said the first agent before adding that "I noticed that you were stopped in Philly with one of your guns."
The homeowner mumbled, "I just - I wasn't expecting -."
"Oh no. It just came up. It's here. The federal side sent an email asking for help to make sure that the man has his guns. The agent said that if you have recently bought a lot of guns, we will be able to look at them and simply scratch them off."
We can take a look at them and note which ones you have purchased, to save on travel costs. The second agent confirmed that they had them.
The homeowner entered the house to retrieve the guns. However, the state trooper didn't seem aware that they were being recorded and observed, "He doesn’t believe we’re cops."
Glenn Beck presented the "stunning video" on Thursday's radio program and explained what to do if it happens to you.
"Here's the information you should know. Tell your family that if anyone from the FBI, ATF or FBI says, "we just need your guns" or "we just need you to verify that these guns are yours," say "no, show us the warrant." '"

He was sure of one thing the military had not handled this well. Yet it seemed to be the answer to anything they were afraid of or did not understand. Sizhui was almost certain they would send in shock troops to deal with the part dead. Again the youth did not agree. He would never willingly kill the living men, he had no problem shooting them though or incapacitating them. He was not going into a camp, he was not going to be kept against his will. He just was not.
hyosen was not like other places they had hoped they had kept it contained by bombing it. All it had done was create more half dead. Sizhui was against this. He wanted people to stand a chance which was why he had been working with others at the clinic. It was his home and wen ning if they caught his uncle they would put him down--like he was a monster rather than a man. Who rescued people.
the empty streets belonged to lan sizhui and the creatures that roamed the night. Around this area, he kept it safe. He made sure that none was gotten. He had a handful of survivors that he protected from the elements, from the zombies, and from themselves. He had been shot at because of humans that wanted to loot. That had ended badly for the humans. Sizhui's judgment was very final.
he found himself coming back to this spot time and time again. He found himself still looking for the slender form of his boyfriend. He had gone all the way to the school again and back because he knew the path the other traveled back to the food place. His other friends were still out there as well. They were doing the whole robin hood thing he knew they were trying to help. Sizhui was told to look for a cure. He had been testing on his uncle's blood but there was not a lot he could do since he wouldn't feed him anything that might hurt him.
sizhui was graceful, fast, and strong he had won the lottery when it came to being athletic and he was supposed cute. A lot of the girls giggled behind their hands when he passed by. He, however, was a one-soul man. He did not play the game. Even with his boyfriend missing he was hopeful he would find him again. He still felt a little lost without him--honestly. Sizhui overworked himself and he gave too much of himself to others at the cost to himself. He risked himself because he was capable and it was the right thing to do.
he often came here to get into the cellar and get what food he could to fix large meals so they lasted beyond one night. Sizhui kept a tally. Though his beloved father would not care. He was with jingyi's group he knew that much. Jingyi had texted to their group chat before the internet had gone down. That was inconvenient to him. He knew how to access the archives on his own laptop, and had downloaded as much as he could. His father had also gotten as much information as he could manage. He tended to work there at the shop in the corner especially when he needed away from the other's survivors for a little bit.
the 'me time' was a well-needed thing given how intense lan sizhui could be. He wanted to be here to be closer to his beloved. Since he had tutored him in this booth, he had shared meals with him in this booth. They had taken pictures here and snuggled and watched video's on their phones together. It was small things, the intimate gestures which meant something it was easy to remember them being here.
he was carefully holding his temper since if someone thought they were leaving with these small gifts sizhui had won for his boyfriend they were dead wrong. He did not allow himself the hope that it could be cheong-san himself that was here. Sizhui had recovered some of their things, those were tossed into his computer bag, and safely tucked away.
sizhui half rose and jumped to his feet. He didn't have the zombie speed but he was swift as he went across the room to toss his arms around the other and draw him close. He could have been bit, he didn't care. It was worth the rush of joy at seeing the other. The loss of an eye was almost expected. He wished he'd been there to protect him. He was sure that it had been done out of spite because of what had happened to the bully. Sizhui would take it personally.
“Cheong-San..” he breathed the name.
"i am fine, i am not bitten," he said with a dip of his head to the other. "i have been visiting here--hoping--" his tone went husky because he felt a swell of emotion. "your eye..." he spoke seriously even though he was overwhelmed by seeing his boyfriend he was also wanting to patch him up. He did not hesitate to touch his face and he certainly showed no fear.
cheong san knew this was just how his sizhui was.

Get Salty
An update to the Salt Crafting Station 2.0, the salt resource system has been reworked to be more in line with current set functions, and to also provide more ways for salt to be obtained.

BRINE
It all starts with salty water, properly called brine. A sim may gather brine in a variety of ways.
● Brine Bucket: Salty off color water in a bucket. Not very useful for anything else other than refining. Counts as 1 food point in the fridge if a sim is really desperate.
● Brine Source Rock: This rock is meant to be placed near bodies of water to simulate a sim gathering from that natural water source. 1/5/10/20 buckets may be gathered at one time, repeatedly as needed. The texture main for this rock it the Super Stone Set (included).
● Brine Source Barrel: This barrel is meant to be placed in homes and on properties to simulate already gathered brine. Unlike the rock however, it has a limited supply each day and can only 5 buckets can be gathered from it every four hours. The texture main is the Brine Bucket itself.
● Solution Mine: A well that has been dug into the earth to reach a salty water table or salt mine below and reinforced with stone and metal. Hot water is poured in to dissolve salt deposits and force them to the surface over a period of 6 hours where it can be gathered from the central shaft. 25 water buckets are required to pour down into the shaft, resulting in 15 brine buckets back
SALT
When that brine is refined with evaporation/heating methods, salt is produced either in a bulk sack or a large sack depending on what has been used to produce the salt.
● Bulk and Small Sacks: Bulk sacks of salt are available in the catalog for purchase, and small sacks can be obtained by splitting a bulk sack. Counts as 1 food point in the fridge if a sim is really desperate.
● Salt Cellar: For a fancier look, salt can be placed from a bulk bag into a cellar instead of a smaller sack. This is an updated version of the original cellar, allowing the lid to still be put on or off but now also recolorable.
● Rock Salt Converter: Mined salt rock can be converted into a bulk salt sack through this object. Small sacks or cellars may also be combined into a bulk sack.
● Salt Lick: Mainly a deco item to be used with your livestock, it has some extra features. Since salt is valuable, it can be stolen by highly mean or furious sims if not locked up. In desperate times, it also can be broken into rock salt that can then be ground.
● Natural Deposit: If you really want to skip the evaporation process, natural occurring salt is an option. This is a resource that is available to harvest every 2 days for 1 Bulk Sack of Salt. Nature takes times to dry itself out.
SALT PRODUCTION
Brine can be processed into salt in one of two ways, a small home production scale or on a large industrial scale.
● Home Evaporation Hearth: This station must be attended by a sim throughout the evaporation process. It require 3 brine buckets and 1 bundle of branches. It produces 3 small salt sacks or cellars.
● Industrial Salt Pan: Using the natural elements of the sun and wind, evaporation of brine occurs over a 6 hour time period. It requires 2 Bulk Salt Sacks are produced per pan. Beware; bad weather will ruin the process and it will have to be started over. Hope for the best, pick your drying season carefully, or provide overhead cover.

They say she lives in the woods.
They say she has eyes everywhere, every three, every rock, a pupil tracking each step you take, silent, observing, hiding the second you feel her gaze down your spine.
It's cold, you are near, making your way to the heart of the forest, axe in hand and a prayer to any god who's listening on your lips, she knows, she is waiting.
And you are tracking her.
There's a town on a forgotten part of the south, full of honest people doing their best to survive, or so you've heard, you know the tales of misery and woe that came attached to it, famines and plagues, but as soon as you paid a visit the people who spoke to you couldn't have been more wrong, as green fields of all sorts of crops were blooming in front of you, large amounts of smiling families gave you a warm welcome, yet something wasn't right, as if the sky itself was telling you to run with the big looming clouds blocking all rays of sun and joy, the wind whispering incomprehensible syllables on your ear, the wooden doors and shutters on each old colonial house banging against the wall just pleading you to run.
Yet you decided to stay.
There are no animals around, no wildlife or pets, how strange, you thought, perhaps they are shy, you stay with a kind stranger, an old woman who lives alone and dresses like the embodiment of a last century grandma, your room is old, dusty, the paneling scratched and wallpapers peeling off, the floors creak, cobwebs and dust, your host insist not to get rid of them, as spiders are to be fear and respected, you think it's an eccentricity of her, an odd mannerism or simply a liking for the arachnids, you do your best not to pay attention to them as you organize your luggage and lay down in the metal-framed bed as you think how did you ever get there.
You've heard of the town, some friends gossiping about it, a man came to your city claiming he was from there, that he needed to move out, that something terrible would happen to him if he didn't, that he had to run away to save himself, everyone saw him as a poor, old and delitaring man, one day you found him on the streets, it wasn't late, you manage to spot him breathing heavily on the concrete, pleading for help, among the sea of people you were the only one to reach for him and offer your hand yet the moment you got close it was too late.
His green, pupiless eyes stared at yours, he gasped for air as he grabbed your hand, he left a note on your arm, illegible handwriting except for the name of the town, you still called out for help, yelled at the top of your lungs, they took him away, probably reached out for his family and loved ones, maybe he was buried in here…
All you know is that the note compelled you to pay a visit to the unknown, nameless town, you packed up your things, took your car and here you are, you had no map yet somehow knew the way, as soon as you reached for the paper in your pocket the old man gave you it was gone, lost, must have fallen off or get blown off by the wind. What was the name of the town? How could you forget the place you were in?
The old woman made breakfast, eggs, bacon and an elaborate array of vegetables with a glass of orange juice, the best you have ever had, like ambrosia, she said that she cared not for the eggs or meat, cheap things they got from somewhere else, that all the vegetables and fruit used to make it were special, blessed, she said, you wonder what she meant, blessed produce from blessed soil, a religious thing most likely, regardless you made your way to the town's center and acted like an average tourist documenting your journey with photos and funny captions like everyone else.
The service wasn't good, barely basic, the same slowness you get on bad days and or when thinking about the hours of your childhood you spent downloading files on the family's computer. Still, you manage to make it work, despite seeing a few towers on the surrounding mountains you barely saw any phone or computer, or much technology, a few shops with old school televisions, a few radios, there was electricity, good enough, maybe they are just old fashioned, luckily you haven't met any of the unpleasant experiences that come with it, not that the city was free from those.
All treated you as a local, as if you had been there for decades, and for a moment, you truly felt it was that way.
It was at nightfall when things went down, the moment you realized why the old man had run away and didn't want to get back.
There were many barns, cellars, never seemed out of place, the biggest one was near a windmill, easy to spot, the doors were slightly opened and you saw a faint yellow light and many of the people you met earlier going in there, including your host.
Something told you to walk towards them, to go through the door and join the singing and dancing you could see and hear from afar, and while you have always been the curious type, you never had the gut to follow your instincts, yet now you did, and you weren't going to let that feeling go.
Candles, flags, green, silver embroidery, floral patterns, white paint creating strange symbols on the floor, all clapped and laughed, chanting, on languages a human tongue shouldn't know, all carrying glasses of an amber like liquid, drunk on their bliss, and lowing behold, a god, goddess, a giant, a titan, an ageless tree, ancient, magnificent, divine, moving, breathing, shaped in the form of a woman, thick willow-esque leaves acting as hair, her face serene and with a pinch of melancholy, men, women and children alike cutting her skin made of wood and pouring her sap on their glasses, drinking their blood and welcoming you with a cheerful embrace.
They made you walk, pushed you towards her, towards her gaze, towards her slowly opening golden eyes as the strands of her hair moved towards your forehead and you went blind.
Traitor…
A whisper, cold, dark, needles on your shoulders, your heart skipped a beat, all eyes on you.
Helped a traitor, ally of the traitor.
All whispered in unison as your vision came back and you walked away, smiles turning into a predatory gaze, you felt as if countless of teeth were sinking on your skin, the mother tree rose up, still crouching yet almost reaching the ceiling.
All traitors must pay for their sins, all blasphemies shan't be forgiven.
The town had their hands on you, the same knives directed at your own being, it took all the strength you had to free yourself as you came back to your senses, run, run, all your legs could do, get into your room and grab your stuff, even if your legs are about to give in, even if you are about to pass out, run, run, run, get your keys, open your car as your hands shake and drive, hyperventilate and try to calm yourself down, scream and cry, reckless, get away, pray they didn't follow you, feel the sweat coming down your forehead, the cold hands, the cold feet, plummet down onto your seat as you get trapped in the traffic of a highway and get yourself together.
You didn't die, that's good, that's great, that's nice, but you left something behind, you don't know what it is, perhaps it's not physical, who cares? You don't care, you are getting that back, your dreams are plagued with those eyes, those words, you cannot sleep, you cannot eat, everything that is not their crops feels dull, tasteless, like chewing on cardboard and your body is unable to retain any, you gag each time you take a bite and you realize the only reason you manage to eat other stuff was because of the blessed produce of the land, your health has declined, you brought an axe, you took your car and with your remaining strength you decided to make your way back.
Whatever you lost there, you were going to get back, and if the town was waiting for you, you didn't mind.

Why did I spend over an hour doing this? Hell if I know. Am I any closer to finding out what the spiders want? Nope. So they’ve been helping Jon figure stuff out and got him appointed to the Institute in the first place, presumably so Elias would carry out his ritual, but why if they’ve never attempted a ritual before? They can’t be happy being ruled over by the Eye. What does Annabelle want with Martin? What the hell is going on at Hill Top Road?? WHAT IS UP WITH JON’S LIGHTER?????
