One appearance in and I’m already wondering which evil clown would reign supreme, Pennywise or Mr. Bonzo?
Absolutely unnerving. I love it. Have I mentioned how much I hate clowns?
That theme song and that whole scene were so unsettling. It was a delightful moment of horror. I can’t wait to listen to it again late at night, in the dark.

i am in fact extremely weirded out by the kira-takes-keiko's-baby-for-the-rest-of-gestation plot. would go so far as to say i hate it. a lot. number one reason, which maybe makes me a bad feminist, is that i just can't wrap my head around the fact that evidently uteruses are exactly the same across whole species which have evolved on different planets in different solar systems light-years and light-years apart. and this stunning reality of uterus-equivalency is the only way to save keiko's and the baby's life. in a speculative fiction where you can just make shit up. in a fictive universe where one character can turn to goo and still feel and think things. in a story where interstellar travel is achieved by blowing up a specific kind of gem which can somehow warp space at different speeds (??) and this has no effect whatsoever on like basic timekeeping and shit. no, the only option is take the alien's baby and put it a different kind of alien because that's the mother-goddess-earth-magic of the fucking holy and righteous womb. fuckkkkk
second reason, which is still only tangential to the feminist reasons: how the fuck did they get the baby in there. i know star trek isn't exactly concerned with being super scientific but jesus. pre-viability fetuses are still using the mom's proteins and enzymes and whatnot to help with basic cellular replication. what the fuckkkkkkk. did julian just cut open kira through skin, muscle, and uterine walls and stick the kid in there and just like stitch the umbilical cord to her??? are they the same blood types??? the two women who are aliens from different planets--do they have the same proteins???? did kira's body just magically recognize the fetus as her own? what about the future kid's gut biome????? what about disease? what about salinity? what about blood loss? how to just transfer a mid-to-late-term pregnancy to an alien?????
the rest of the reasons i hate this are all some variant of "men as a class deserve to be aliened like john hurt in alien"

a lot of my class notes in biochem are just me writing down nutritional fun facts and then making a footnote complaining about how this relates to my bad eating habits
