The title of this song refers to both love of my life and loss of my life. Harry's only track 13 is Love of My Life. Like Harry's LOML, loml is a song about letting a long held love go. Both are regretful of love lost but neither over it. As a song about a long museship the references to both Taylor and Harry's work is dense, so this post is long. A shorter TLDNR is here. The nature of the relationship Taylor is describing is one that should have a lot of references, and it does. Each chorus refers to a different song where Harry professed love.

The initial Spotify Canvas was of Taylor in a sweater looking emotional. After Fortnight was released it was replaced with Taylor and Post inside the Style-head reading Story of Us on the road. Taylor played loml once as a surprise song on piano in Paris, with Paris in the first show after their release on 9 May 2024.

Lyrics

The first verse establishes that Taylor is singing to an old muse at the end of a breakup, or false start. She refers to them being together in their youth, of wistful memories and that the love is irreplaceable. It is full of references:

Waltzing back into rekindled flames, Taylor refers to dance as a kind of subconscious action in several songs, this reminds me most closely of 'Dancing around it' in High Infidelity and 'Dancing is a dangerous thing' in Cowboy Like Me - where the dance is also tempting a romantic relationship, they know the steps - as in they have fallen into this before.

Embroidering memories touches on the Haylor theme of stitches. 'Away is in a lot of Taylor's songs. 'Taylor' embroiders in EHC and LK posted about embroidery after TTPD

'While I was away' reminds me of AYHTS "People like you always want back the love they gave away" and Midnight Ran's "the life I gave away" - a similar idea that she was absent.

Stitching 'We were just kids babe' is a reference to Patti Smith's Biography 'Just Kids' which is her memories about her time with fellow artist Robert Mapplethorpe who died of Aids. Taylor also refers to this time in Patti Smith's life in TTPD. Patti thanked Taylor for the callout with posting a photo of her reading Dylan Thomas' biography. This line establishes this muse is a fellow young artist who Taylor had an important relationship with when they were young. Taylor & Harry have likened themselves to famous couples

'I don't mind, it takes time', this idea is referred to in Peter also and other Haylor songs:

Run: Piece of paper where I wrote, “I’ll wait for you”

How You Get The Girl: I would wait forever and ever

Say Don’t Go: The waiting is a sadness fading into madness

"I thought I was better safe than starry-eyed" - the prologue describes three muses, as does the Fortnight MV. One has celestial imagery that links to Satellite, such as stars, comets, orbit, planet and whole sky. Starry-eyed is in a few songs including:

CIWYW - Starry eyes sparking up my darkest night

Cowboy like me - Eyes full of stars

High Infidelity - Do I really have to chart the constellations in his eye

Better safe than starry eyed also reminds me of "How dare you think it's romantic / Leaving me safe and stranded" in Down Bad that refers to New Romantics "Please leave me stranded"

'Never felt aglow like this', 'never before and never since' is a glowing irreplaceable connection. Taylor described similar in:

This Love - This love is glowing in the dark

Question...? - Does it feel like everything's just like second best after that meteor strike?

I knew from one glimpse, it was legendary, we go from one kiss to getting married is a reference to Holy Ground:

“Back to a first glance feeling on New York time/ Back when you fit my poems like a perfect rhyme/ Took off faster than a green light, go : Yeah, you skip the conversation when you already know”

A similar line is also in Glitch - "Five seconds later, I'm fastening myself to you with a stitch"

‘Still alive at the cemetery’ is similar to The 1: “In my defense, I have none / For digging up the grave another time” which in turn is a reference to the OOTW/LAWYMMD music video link where Taylor from the end of 1989 is Taylor at the start of the next video.

In your suit and tie, in the nick of time

‘In your suit and tie’ is dressed for a wedding. Arriving ‘in nick of time’ is the muse interrupting a wedding saying “don’t do this there’s still time!” Which Taylor said of Harry, when describing the muse of Style and 1989 Taylor said she expected this. Here she is saying she was fooling herself.

You low-down boy, you stand-up guy You Holy Ghost, you told me I’m the love of your life You said I’m the love of your life About a million times

“Low down boy; you stand up guy” is a person who has been in Taylor’s life since they were a boy (with a dirty mouth) who has grown to be a stand up guy. They are now grown but not with her.

Taylor then refers to Harry’s music, Holy Ghost refers to Two Ghosts and refers to Love of My Life by name. In which Harry says it 5 times, he’s performed it 102 times to around 700k fans, so yeah, a lot. Note it's “said” not “told me”.

[Verse 2] Who’s gonna tell me the truth when you blew in with the winds of fate And told me I reformed you? When your impressionist paintings of heaven turned out to be fakes

Taylor refers to truth often, but usually her telling or seeing a truth, But in the Alcott the muse tells her the truth and she says she she has fallen back in love with the muse. I imagine in Taylors life many do not tell the truth, but this muse can and does. Here Taylor asks if they will still tell the truth if they are together.

The muse told Taylor she reformed them. Harry says this in Stockholm Syndrome, that he "used to sing about being free but now he has changed his mind". On 13 May 2023 Harry added Stockholm Syndrome to the HSLOT set for the last 18 shows. A song he he wrote for Taylor when they were dating and had not performed since 2018.

The impressionist paintings may refer to the Two Ghosts music video, which was or became tour screens. (Thank you @notoriousbeb) The reference to fakes is where an overture of love did not come through.

The second half of this verse links back to past writing to each other

'And all at once, the ink bleeds' I LOVE this line so much. It has a double meaning, the ink bleeds as Taylor writes music inspired by a museship that has featured in so much of her work. The ink bleeds like emotion bleeds as the bleeding love theme.

"A conman sells a fool a get love quick scheme" this line is dense:

In Why She Disappeared, the poem played before Getaway Car in the Reputation Stadium Tour included "Wary of phone calls and promises, Charmers, dandies and get-love-quick-schemes"

Harry and Taylor have referred to each other as robbers, thieves, cowboys and now a conman see thief theme

Harry and Taylor have both referred to themselves as a fool many times for being stuck on each other.

Never felt a hole like this before or since is crushing, it reminds me of Questions...?'s "Does it feel like everything's just like second-best after that Meteor strike?"

In the second chorus Taylor again refers to songs by Harry, but changes which ones:

Mr Steal Your Girl refers to One Directions Steal My Girl.

B&W Cinephile may refer to when Harry kept his Instagram B&W for 2 years from when 1989 was released with the line 'the rest of the world was in screaming color' it may also refer to the Treat People With Kindness music video in B&W and widescreen. Harry is also a cinephile, both in being a fan of cinema and appearing in more recent films than her actor partner at the time.

[Bridge] You shit-talked me under the table Talking rings and talking cradles I wish I could un-recall How we almost had it all Dancing phantoms on the terrace Are they second-hand embarrassed That I can’t get out of bed ‘Cause something counterfeit’s dead? Taylor acts this lyric out in fortnight in the eras tour.

Shit-talking can mean either disparaging remarks or saying something untrue and going on about it. Talking, (or drinking) someone under the table is doing so in excess. So I take this first line 'shit-talked me under the table' to mean the muse went on saying untrue things for ages, in the context of the rest of the verse I think that is making statements of love they were not yet willing to follow through on.

Taylor sees they were so close, a similar line is in TTPD there is a similar line of 'litany of reasons we could have played for keeps this time' Taylors muse has professed love and that they are endgame but not followed through.

In the Only Angel Demo Harry sang "I must admit I married you a thousand times. Had to change my tune when I found out what it'd be like."

Counterfeit is also in Glitch "It must be counterfeit, I think there's been a glitch"

The shit-talk is rings and cradles, in a time that Taylor was disappointed a long term relationship ended another long term muse flirted with settling down but did not. Harry wore the Peace Ring and Haylor ring for years, they seemed as possible promise rings which these lines remind me of. As do songs of both which may refer to the other. The Haylor ring is featured in merchandise for TTPD and Taylor wears it in the Fortnight Music Video so it is likely this ring.

[Final Chorus] Oh, what a valiant roar What a bland goodbye The coward claimed he was a lion I’m combing through the braids of lies “I’ll never leave,” “Never mind” Our field of dreams engulfed in fire Your arson’s match, your somber eyes And I’ll still see it until I die You’re the loss of my life

The final chorus reads as a bitter disappointment of Taylors muse has meekly said they will not be with her.

Stockholm Syndrome - which Harry readded to his setlist 13 March 2023 (gone since 2018) has the line "Baby, I'll never leave if you keep holding me this way, oh o-oh" Here Taylor has compared it to what looks like a goodbye statement from someone who doesn't want to talk about it.

It is the loss of Taylor's life, one she felt at the time of writing this song was not one she would get over.

Valiant Roar

The 'valiant roar' is likely a reference to Harry's Gucci Lion ring which he has worn since 2018 and briefly lost in April 2022 at Coachella. It attracted a lot of attention until it's return when it was learned it has an inscription of 'second time's the charm'. Taylor also wore a Gucci Lion ring at Electric Lady Studios on 12 April 2023 (before heading to Florida). At that time the 1975 were in Australia and Harry was in the US after a golf tournament in Augusta. This line also reminds me of this scene in DWD which OW described as a 'primal roar' to Rolling Stone in 2022.

Best practices for maintenance of FRF in turbine EHC system

What is a Turbine EH System?

Due to high steam pressure & temperature in the vicinity of a steam turbine, as safety compliance, it is a mandate to use Fire Resistant Fluids (FRF) for hydraulic control of the EHC system. A specially designed synthetic fluid called tri-xylenyl phosphate ester demonstrates best fire resistant properties for the application.

Phosphate esters are polar fluids with excellent lubricating properties that can operate under extreme conditions. However, phosphate esters require strict control in order to extend their useful lifespan.

Water and Acids de-grade FRF

Phosphate esters (which are being used as FRF in EHC systems) are manufactured under controlled environment through the esterification of phosphoric acid, where water is a by-product.

Phosphoric Acid + Alcohol → Phosphate Ester + Water

Unfortunately, phosphate esters are highly hygroscopic (tendency to absorb water) in nature and the esterification process is reversible when phosphate esters come in contact with water. This is referred to as hydrolysis. The higher the water content and temperature, the faster the ester will break down by hydrolysis.

Phosphate Ester + Water → Phosphoric Acid or Acid Phosphates + Alcohol

Thereby it is recommended to control the water level, temperature, and acidity in FRF of the EHC systems. If uncontrolled, the acidity accelerates rapidly.

TAN value or Total Acid Number (measured in unit mgKOH/gm) is a parameter to denote acid content accumulation in FRF. A high TAN value degrades the fluid rapidly, decreases its viscosity and resistivity. Thereby causing acid corrosion of sensitive servo-valves and other system components of an EH System.

FRF de-gradation due to particles

Water and acid are not the only contaminants which can degrade the FRF.

Since the dynamic oil film and fine clearances in servo-valves are less than 5 micron, even the finest silt particles and sludge/varnish deposits from fluid degradation can hinder proper operation. Fine particles get trapped in clearances between the valve plunger and housing. This abrasive wear is known as seizing or grinding. This can result in wear rates that are a thousand times greater than anticipated by the valve manufacturer. The result is poor EHC system reliability and reduced turbine availability.

Condition based monitoring of FRF

It is highly recommended to carry out regular fluid analysis of FRF and identify any abnormalities in the trend for further preventive actions. I don't mean to change the topic but I was just wondering about the new Gracie Tay collab and I saw the video of them writing it together and I'm having thoughts. Like first of all the Cowboy Like Me reference is insane because WHY lmao when it's clearly not about Matty...Tay loves her misdirections (The Alchemy is not about Travis change my mind)

Also the "give it 10 months and you'll be past it" is very Clean-esque to me. I know for a fact that Clean is about Jake G because she did NOT give that many fucks about the british teenager to write THAT song about him.

The 29 years old again. The bridge is literally verbatim the description of the dude in All Too Well. My only problem is that why would there be so many Taylor references on a Gracie album even if blondie wrote it?

I get that we think it's about DOB but the streets are saying it's all speculation, plus he was hanging out with Taylor as late as after Joever, and he already had the Paris gf by then so it just doesn't make any sense. If he dated and ghosted Gracie BEFORE that, why on earth would he still be cool with Taylor?

The timeliness make no sense to me...he definitely had a thing wth Sab but that's about it. Him scoring both the Taydaughters sounds like fanfiction to me I'm sorry.

My theory is genuinely that the song is very Folklore adjacent wherein it's not about any particular real life event but instead a fictional narrative inspired by true occurrences. The song SCREAMS Gyllenswift in every shape and form. Maybe Matty slightly.

The video where they're writing it is very clearly them coming up with lyrics that suit the song and it's not that serious idk.

People are very defensive about it being Matty coded but like who gaf Tay has a whole double album about his ass

I’m defensive about it being about Matty/Jake because it’s GRACIE’s song. To me it’s predominantly about Gracie and Gracie’s experiences and life. I think Taylor could relate to what she’s going through and contributed but I just don’t see Taylor sitting down with her mentee and writing predominantly about her own life - I’m sure she contributed things she related to but idk. It’s just odd to me that when Taylor collabs on a song then everyone assumes it’s more about her but when people collab with her it stays more about her. Like a great example is EHC which definitely has Ed’s ideas on it but everyone tries to match it entirely with a Taylor boyfriend/hookup/person. I think it’s more an idea Taylor had but Ed added to it. SOTB is another one - it’s definitely inspired by an idea Taylor had but it’s got a lot of Lana’s flourishes on it. So to me us is Gracie’s idea with Taylor’s flourishes. If it was more her idea she’d have released it ft. Gracie Abrams and scored bigger numbers ykwim? Gracie releasing it suggests it was more Gracie’s thing.

muses: the red lover and the 1989 heartbreaker

I cannot get out of my mind just how messy the falling in love songs on Red are in terms of the Timeline and when they were written if they are supposed to be about men.

I’m not going to include receipts you can double check me in this masterpost of song writing dates and ofc @swiftgronmasterpost.

Let’s take EHC, Come Back... Be Here, and Treacherous.

It’s just three songs but the male muses associated w them are very confusing.

Let’s take Come Back... Be Here.  Taylor wrote this song with Dan Wilson sometime in spring 2012.  It’s about someone who has to leave her and travel for work just after they’ve gotten involved.

Conor Kennedy is out - he was 17 and as far as we know they hadn’t met yet and he also wasn’t travelling anywhere...he was a child in high school.

You would think Harry would fit but Taylor meets him supposedly on March 31, 2012 (and goes to a house party at Dianna’s that night💁‍♀️) and then go to NYC (Dianna in tow of course 💁‍♀️) together.  Haylor (plus Dianna 💁‍♀️) is in NYC together for about a week and then Taylor goes to Nashville, Harry goes to Australia, and Dianna stays in NYC.  Harry never makes it to London before “cheating on Taylor” by being papped kissing a girl at the end of April 2012, thus ending their short romance before he ever returns back to London.  During their spring fling he was never in NYC without her, nor was he ever in London without her.

Dianna goes to London a couple times that Spring.

So we have either a mystery man (some hetlors say Jake and one really enthusiastic Zac Efron fan tries to make it about him) or Dianna fitting the song.

Treacherous was written that spring as well again with Dan Wilson and she easter eggs Harry in the liner notes, as well as tying it back to him by saying it’s about the same muse as the IKYWT muse and very acutely letting everyone know IKYWT is “about Harry” as well.

So the muse is either Harry or ofc, possibly Dianna who she was inseparable from that spring.

And finally we know she wrote Everything Has Changed on May 15th, 2012 due to to her tweeting about writing the song with Ed.  She easter eggs Conor in the Liner notes with “Hyiannis port” but as far as we know she had not met him at that point.  Dianna (with that iann in her name too!) was ofc at Hyannis with Taylor as well.  Furthermore if the line “meet me there tonight” in EHC is to be taken literally, well Taylor literally did go and have dinner that night with Dianna.

So the muse for EHC is either Conor (though as far as we know they hadn’t met yet, he was still 17 at that point) or Dianna.

Three “falling in love songs” on the Red album, and three different male muses (a mystery man, Conor, and Harry) OR Dianna fitting the thread for ALL of them.

Furthermore, wouldn’t it make sense if the falling in love muse was the breakup muse on 1989?  Like wouldn’t Taylor fall for someone on one album and the falling songs follow the same thread for the songs she’s writing about on the following album if she had broken up with that person?

Where are the breakup songs for Conor?  If he inspired emotion as beautiful as displayed in EHC why aren’t there breakup songs about him?  What about the mystery guy from Begin Again or Come Back... Be Here?  They were worth writing love songs about but no breakup songs?

All the breakup songs on 1989 are supposed to be about Harry.

Treacherous seems to be about the same muse as Style, Wonderland(which btw, Alice in Wonderland was Dianna’s entire personality back in the day), and IKP (driving around late at night, and a desperation to keep the relationship a secret).

AYHTDWS and IWYW (oh btw it’s about an ex that moved near her, written in 2013, Harry didn’t move to LA until 2014 while Dianna moved near Taylor in summer 2013 💁‍♀️) could be viewed up as a follow up to Come Back... Be Here wishing again her lover would come back or had stayed with her.  But CBBH doesn’t fit for Harry though we’re supposed to believe the 1989 tracks are for him.

And most blatant mirroring we get is EHC vs. Clean.  In EHC the butterflies are the beautifulful kind and Taylor is dusting off her highest hope.  In Clean the butterflies have turned to dust.  The rain pours down on her in both songs.

But EHC is supposed to be about Conor according to the liner notes and Taylor nearly said Clean was about Harry when she said she was inspired to write the song about her ex when she was in the same city as him in London.

The Speak Now Tour ends March 18, 2012 and right after it seems like Swiftgron is inseparable.  I think mid March is the official beginning to their relationship though it’s possible they had been in touch on and off since 2010 and it’s also possible that they started a long distance flirtation in the fall of 2011 (or perhaps at the end of February 2012 given Dianna starts hanging out with Taylor’s friends while she’s back on tour - but Taylor hasn’t followed Dianna on Twitter yet) but all I know for sure is they hang out constantly starting at the end of March 2012.

March 25, 2012 - Hunger Games Movie Date

The first Swiftgron solo hang that we know of Dianna and Taylor go to see The Hunger Games - Taylor had two songs on the movie soundtrack!  There’s no press there to see them so it really does appear they just went to catch the film together.  Dianna tweets about it but doesn’t mention Taylor but some fans take a picture of them so we know they were there together.

It seems that Dianna leaves out a side or back door to avoid being spotted but this article notes that she was there:

This guy tweets a bunch proving that Taylor was at Dianna’s house party after the 2012 Kids’ Choice Awards. 

This is significant because everyone made a big deal about Taylor dancing a bit to You Don’t Know You’re Beautiful (and she is dancing around in an adorably dorky manner with Selena, Claire, lesbian icon Sharpay Evans [she’s come a long way since East High School! Go Wildcats!], and Katy Perry):

The camera pans over to Taylor five times.  Haylor shippers sometimes point to this as the start of their romance but to me it reads as though a PRomance is in the works or perhaps fans’ reactions to Taylor enjoying 1D (of course we all know how she loves to sing about women from the male perspective) prompted the idea of Haylor.  

All I know is that she went to Dianna’s house that night not out with Harry so who do you think was important to her at that point?

Jimmy decides to get cute and brings up the “love triangle” between Dianna, Taylor, and Tim Tebow.  When she denies anything is going on with Tim he asks her if she’s dating Taylor. Dianna says “Noooo!” in what appears to be a brief split instance of surprise and panic but recovers smoothly and plays it off as a joke.  She quips, “Wouldn’t that be juicy?”  and turns to the camera to blow a kiss before saying, “Hi Taylor.”

Conclusion - Swiftgron is now traveling together.  Dianna and Taylor’s friend groups have completely meshed.  Taylor appears to go to New York simply to accompany Dianna since Taylor had no work related reason to be in the city that we know of.

The “I guess you’re in New York today” part of Come Back... Be Here (to be written later this spring) may be inspired by the period time where Taylor had to leave New York to work on Red while Dianna had to stay in NYC for work.

nah holy ground is not about dianna. They hadn’t even started dating. And as the anon pointed out: the note on the door was Dianna’s birthday in late April, lover diaries puts holy ground in February. How could she write about something that hadn’t even happened yet? Also the entire vibe of holy ground is looking back on a relationship that WAS good, past tense, and reflecting on it. Could you be reflective of a breakup and actually accept a relationship for what it was just a couple months afterwards? Let alone write a song about it. Most of Red is just… not about dianna. The timeline does not fit. the falling in love songs however do fit her very well (butterflies in ehc, then the butterflies turning to dust in clean, “all I know is pouring rain” and it rained on their first date in LA, come back, be here fits her and the timeline of where they both were during the writing of that song, etc)

They hadn't started dating before February 2012? How do you know that? They met in early 2011 at an Oscars party, and things took off after they met again at that market in September 2011. That is plenty of time to write a note on a door and write a song about it months later lol. If you had read the post I reblogged discussing this, I am aware Dianna's birthday party was in April 2012. However, per the post:

That Taylor wrote the ‘note on the door with a joke we’d made’ at Dianna’s birthday party is an assumption...

That note could have been written any time between when they met to Dianna's birthday party. Hell, what if Taylor was dressed as a cat at the party to reference the joke on the door, not the other way around?

Additionally, Taylor very well could have been looking back on a few months ago. Have you never done that? Back to a simpler time, four months prior? Again as the post explains:

I have previously proposed Holy Ground as something of a retrospective on swiftgron 1.0 – thus the reference in the liner note to October 2011.  Possibly, Taylor was inspired to reflect on this past experience, after attending the pre-Oscar party with Dianna on 24th February 2012. 

There's nothing in Holy Ground that says this was a devastating, never-ever-ever-ever-getting-back-together heartbreak. The entire song really sounds like reminiscing on the beginnings of a relationship, when things were fast and fun and easy, and wishing it was still like that. Technically there isn't a reference to a breakup at all. It's just in past tense because she's looking back on that period from months ago.

She's drinking coffee alone but if we're tying Come Back, Be Here to Dianna, she's probably alone because Dianna is traveling and she's reminiscing how she misses when they were physically close and standing on holy ground together. Taylor wonders how Dianna is looking back on those first few weeks now, and imagines Dianna in every crowd because again: she misses her and wishes she would come back and be here lol. That would also explain why she doesn't want to dance if she's not dancing with her.

None of that indicates a breakup. You can still be with someone but miss this time/period when it was 4am the second day and you skipped the conversation when you already knew. It's an elegy of the delicate beginnings new romance that you'll never get back. So yeah, it can be about Di.

On one occasion in the RED room during the tour, Taylor freely stated that she loves Dianna's MV and is proud of it.

And it might be inspired by the lyrics "Knew he was a killer the first time that I saw him." I wonder how many girls she left "haunted"

The old theories that this song was written by Dianna? Brandon of the Killers claimed it was the only song on the record that wasn't truly about the band, and the lyrics contain references to Dianna's life. When I saw the skeletons in the MV, I thought to myself, "And the skeletons in our closet plotted hard to f*** this up."

"I could be reeling 'em in left and right, Something's got a hold on me, tonight" - this line is so Dianna, she uses it all the time.. it also reminds me of what Sam Smith said about the song I'm not the only one, the only song on the album that isn't about him but about someone else, then exactly on the video frame was Dianna, and I remember Taylor's reaction when that song was released, and he even made a …I have no qualms that Dianna can compose a song because she has previously created a screenplay at such a young age. I believe she is still doing it…also there are speculations that dianna is assisting Taylor with her red album, such as reconstructing the EHC and assisting with MV ideas, especially in 22, Begin Again, and EHC, which dianna was already directing before she met Taylor. Also, according to some, the last time was their first collaboration.. the last time and exile are practically identical, with dianna being a big fan of Bon Iver.

Aside from being a musician, there are a few factors that indicate to Dianna's involvement in various songs.

1. Both the Killers and Sam Smith's songs are aimed at men.'s got a low voice and sings male songs; it's probably how she'd write them, too. You mention some of Taylor's songs that either have male guest vocals or are in a lower female range, too.

2. In the MV, Dianna plays the character whose perspective the song is from, even if that involves drag.

3. Speaking of playing Brandon Flowers, it makes sense if the song is a killers' song but isn't really by or about the killers, you know? Keep Brandon's voice but show at least subtly that it's Dianna's song. I don't know if Dianna is friends with Brandon or anything, but apparently a fan. But it being an odd song-out makes sense because the album was a 10th anniversary disc and all the other songs were re-released.

4. The lyrical references to her childhood and brother are especially weird compared to the MV references. Lots of killers in history. Or is that another sign? lyrics = brandon singing + dianna's history, video = dianna acting + killers' history

5. Dianna and Sam are or were very good friends, who apparently shared relationship woes, so

You mention Bon Iver, and when I first heard/saw Cowboy Like Me, I thought the clock set to 4:30 was a reference to Bon Iver's birthday, April 30, and that was an easter egg that he was the uncredited writer/vocalist, but I quickly learned that it's Marcus Mumford. I'm not saying Taylor can't know Mumford just through the music industry, but being connected by Dianna seems more obvious, and April 30 is also Dianna's birthday.

7. EHC seems obviously about dianna if just from timing and liner notes. the MV here has clues as well, like watching the movie in class showing Paris-who would take Taylor to Paris if not Francophile Dianna? etc.

Taylor constantly references Dianna on her songs, MVs, and especially live performances during Lover. Even in the rep MV, I see she mentions MV 22 and WANGBT, which even Swiftie fans recognized.

Yes I imagine there may be an Easter egg or two, but I don’t have a good feel for if it will be beyond just fun references to the EHC video. I was reminded of the fort that was also arguably in CIWYW, and arguably in INTHAF and the Willow video, which automatically makes my mind think of things like Mary’s song and Me and Brittney and Seven and sweet tea and God’s Graces or whatever that old unreleased song is called. And because of the Willow video, Invisible String. And the lyric ‘your eyes look like coming home’ fits in nicely with her more recent music. I don’t know Ed’s music well but it wouldn’t surprise me if there are references there too. So it has potential to be cute but also fun to look into and speculate about.

Either way, Red (TV) era continues, whether we want it to or not.

idk if jake was comedic excellence but imo it's her most interesting ex-relationship because of how messy/on-and-off it was and how much it impacted her. one thing i've realized recently is how much her songs about love changed after jake. the love songs on her first 3 albums can best be summarized by the way i loved you - super intense, emotional, and strong. but RED onwards, you start to see a shift. treacherous is followed by ikywt, which is essentially her realizing that red love (represented by songs like treacherous and sparks fly) is really bad and toxic for her. the love songs that follow, like begin again, ehc, and cbbh, are all much sweeter than the tumultuous love she sings about on her first 3 albums. i think jake was her first real love - not a teenage infatuation like drew and joe j, but actual adult love. and when gyllenswift fell apart, her whole perception of love changed, which is why their relationship is still alluded to in her recent albums.

I mean Jake definitely fucked her up big-time so I feel bad for finding their relationship hilarious but 😭 the fact that he couldn't even be bothered going to her 21st but was still obsessed with her in his own way and flew her out for a weekend just to stay in his hotel room the whole time? And how he didn't even think twice about getting a singer a guitar for her birthday because his ego was that big??

And how she was legitimately embarassed about having that many songs about him on Red and was ~daydreaming about real love~ and writing Begin Again about moving on, but they're all still very much smackcams directed at him?? I could go on and on.

But anyway, I def agree with you about Gyllenswift being her most interesting ex-relationship. I wouldn't say that all the songs on her first three albums are about intense and emotional situations, but I do think that's what she wanted.

That's also what gets me about the burning red and black and white references on Daylight, because it's pretty clear that both those relationships changed her outlook on love the most, and there's a lot of parallels between the two dynamics too tbh.

Thinking out loud about thinking out loud

What a Sweeran trio we were treated to in Wembley N4! I was surprised that the third song was Thinking Out Loud rather than Run. It is X's 10 year anniversary and recently re-released. Ed also featured it on a playlist this week of 'Songs that almost didn't make the album' but so was I'm a Mess. So why play TOL with EHC and End Game rather than Run (which I expected) or Teneriffe Sea, (which is also on X as Ed is promoting it's anniversary edition, and they have played together before) both of which would be a more obvious choice? A song that refers to being 23 and 70... hmmm......

Because it was the subject of Ed's more high profile copy write suit we know a bit about it, that it was written in 20 minutes in Ed's kitchen at 2:00 am on February 4, 2014.

When Ed Sheeran was 22... maybe he was thinking ahead to his 23rd Birthday which was on the 17th... thinking he would fall in love in the coming year??? It's often thought it is written Ed's then Girlfriend Athina Andrelos. The Wiki reference for that has a quote about I'm a Mess not TOL, and the 23 lyric doesn't make sense then. Or maybe he was thinking of the age his BFF was when her heart fell as in the lyric.

Best practices for maintenance of FRF in turbine EHC system

What is a Turbine EH System ? 

Electro-Hydraulic Control system (EHC system) of a turbine is the most critical equipment of a power plant. It’s the heart of a turbine which controls steam flow into the turbine. A malfunctioning EHC system can lead to turbine stoppage and thereafter create a dominoes effect on the synchronized processes of the power plant. Breakdown-free and reliable operation of the EHC system is the biggest challenge of an Operation & Maintenance Manager. To learn more follow:

Due to high steam pressure & temperature in the vicinity of a steam turbine, as safety compliance, it is a mandate to use Fire Resistant Fluids (FRF) for hydraulic control of the EHC system. A specially designed synthetic fluid called tri-xylenyl phosphate ester demonstrates best fire resistant properties for the application.

Phosphate esters are polar fluids with excellent lubricating properties that can operate under extreme conditions.

However, phosphate esters require strict control in order to extend their useful lifespan. Water and Acids de-grade FRF

Phosphate esters (which are being used as FRF in EHC systems) are manufactured under controlled environment through the esterification of phosphoric acid, where water is a by-product.

Phosphoric Acid + Alcohol → Phosphate Ester + Water

Unfortunately, phosphate esters are highly hygroscopic (tendency to absorb water) in nature and the esterification process is reversible when phosphate esters come in contact with water. This is referred to as hydrolysis. The higher the water content and temperature, the faster the ester will break down by hydrolysis.

Phosphate Ester + Water → Phosphoric Acid or Acid Phosphates + Alcohol

Thereby it is recommended to control the water level, temperature, and acidity in FRF of the EHC systems. If uncontrolled, the acidity accelerates rapidly.

TAN value or Total Acid Number (measured in unit mgKOH/gm) is a parameter to denote acid content accumulation in FRF. A high TAN value degrades the fluid rapidly, decreases its viscosity and resistivity. Thereby causing acid corrosion of sensitive servo-valves and other system components of an EH System. FRF de-gradation due to particles

Water and acid are not the only contaminants which can degrade the FRF.

Since the dynamic oil film and fine clearances in servo-valves are less than 5 micron, even the finest silt particles and sludge/varnish deposits from fluid degradation can hinder proper operation. Fine particles get trapped in clearances between the valve plunger and housing. This abrasive wear is known as seizing or grinding. This can result in wear rates that are a thousand times greater than anticipated by the valve manufacturer.
