Anyone else always think about how the six idiots created two different trans characters in two different projects in the early 2010s even tho they didn’t need to but they did it anyway or are you normal?
I love the representation in Six Idiots shows. It’s not played for laughs and it’s not made into pandering. Like, Ho-Tan is an elder and a scribe and she happens to also be trans. Captain is a sweet guy who likes tanks who happens to be gay. They both handle it differently but it doesn’t feel like it’s being disrespected in anyway.
And overall the shows are just so lgbt friendly, your own interpretations are just as welcome. Both Cap and Pat looked at the naked guy leaving Button House, you could interpret Pat as bi. Thomas has trouble explaining love and can be interpreted as Aro. And the fans are just all really sweet people. It’s such a positive space to have characters that can make you feel represented and ugh it’s so wonderful.
past 3 days have been weird because i pulled off multiple 7+ hour study sessions without breaks + had a small identity crisis and now i cannot stop thinking about ho-tan obsessively. one might say that...
YOU DONT UNDERSTAND I LOVE HO-TAN WITH ALL MY HEART BUT ESPECIALLY IN THE CHRISTMAS SPECIAL LIKE SHE HAND MADE A JACKET FOR PRESSLEY AND SHE LOOKS SO PROUD OF IT AND SHES SO HAPPY WITH HER DOLL AND SHE GAVE IT A LIL KISS ON THE HEAD I WILL NEVER RECOVER FROM THIS
